Designer Showcase Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is full of gifts for the Designer Showcase event and their 15th anniversary round. Can you imagine such longevity? Naturally we have to help them celebrate :) Just join their group for free and you get to pick up tons of thoughtful gifts, in addition to some excellent sales offers. A fantastic choice for exploring a wintry wonderland is our La Feminique Jolie Gift. I appreciate having the full outfit, and also could see wearing the pieces with other wardrobe components, for example a longer BOM shirt or sweater for even more warmth or adding sneakers to walk through snow.

I kept those pants on to show off the delightful Ghee - SH Philla sweater. The cold shoulder style contrasts beautifully against the turtleneck and long sleeves which tighten at the forearms, and the body is a loose fit that is so fun for this season. I'm also planning on sifting through my inventory to find a maxi skirt to pair it with, hopefully in any shade of blue that appears in the pattern. 

For my final look this evening, I am loving the SAS - Mady Pink Dress gift from Sascha's Designs. This wrap dress looks ethereal in pale pink, reminiscent of flower petals, and you'll find Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes inside when you unpack this beauty. Naturally I had to add the .:{Sofia}:. Shakira Necklace Diamond Shine. Pink gift, because the colors are a match made in heaven :) The closer view lets you see that it has tiers of emerald cut pink gems, and it will fit Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn bodies with ease. Sometimes fortune smiles on us, and we find the ideal accessory without even trying.

Whew, my support group session was so chaotic that two people left early and I don't blame them. Our goal is to talk about ways to ease anxiety and share successes and plans/goals, but a new person got really talkative about violence he'd experienced or witnessed which deeply upset one of the longtime members enough that she called him out on being triggering. He sorta dismissed her and kept talking since he was 'trying to make a point though', and she was too upset to stay. I am concerned about her, but the moderator (a therapist) is going to check in with her tomorrow. Fingers crossed that she returns, because I will greatly miss her. Tomorrow I've got an appointment that will keep me from having time to prep a blog post, so it's a night off for me :) I'll be back the next evening with more goodies of course, and a clearer head with a more positive outlook *fingers crossed*. Fab and Free

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I kept thinking about the FabFree blog and how much they've helped inspire me over the years, so it made sense for me to explore their group gift listing :) If you join the FabFree group inworld, it is free to join and that tag (I'm Fabulous!) will give you access to so many amazing gifts that will help with your wardrobe and your home decorating. They've got a little something for everyone, male and female avatars, so I would also suggest sharing their website with your favorite guys. They don't get nearly enough free gifts in SL, and they deserve to be treated just as generously. 

My first look is the flirty .:Bad Rabbit:. Litti Top and shorts Aqva gift for FabFree. That color is stunning, and I love the way the top is knotted to lift it up to show off some waist skin. We receive Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizing for our top and shorts, separates so we can pair them with other items if we wish as well. 

I think the [K-Style] FIORELLA TOP & SKIRT #5 gift reminds me of lingerie, probably because of the lace and ruffles. The strapless top and miniskirt are each included in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, and you can find this gift behind the front desk with lots of other goodies for various groups. Such a pretty outfit in a lovely color!

The [Flaneur] Kiara Set gift was the one that helped me realize I'd accidentally worn the cleavage version of my skin ;) That simple shadow makes a huge difference! Kiara includes the daringly open top and zipped miniskirt, in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Nhumana, Reborn, and Squish mesh bodies. The waist of the skirt catches the eye with the slender strand that winds around the back and meets on either side of the zipper.

Over at Violet Skies, their current FabFree gift is the Josie Green Dress seen here. It has a fun floral pattern and darker green fringe beneath the bodice, perfectly matching the large ring that holds top and skirt together. The keyhole opening is framing the cleavage beautifully, and the bare back and sides give us an extra sassy view :) Our gift contains sizing for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Muneca, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, with bonus panties that fit each of those brands. 

For my final look of the night, I've slipped into the ~NS~ Millie Top & Skirt gift for FabFree from NoShot, the most recent (July 2025) of a few you can find there for this very group :) The striking purple tank top and slit skirt are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes. I'm a longtime fan of this brand, and I'm sure I have shared several gifts from there over the years so it was a pleasure to do so once again.

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was chilly but nice, and the farmers market was fun but I wish I'd figured out a way to prevent the windburn that just a few minutes outdoors was able to cause. There is just some reddening and tenderness lingering, should be fine in a day or so. The temperature was below freezing, so I was almost glad there were so few vendors there; admittedly there were 2 I really missed and wished they had been there this week though. One is a crochet artist who had asked for suggestions previously and might have been bringing something for me if she'd been there, or to last week's canceled one. I enjoy supporting local businesses and people who take the time to create items by hand, and I've had family members who crocheted or knitted so I've always been impressed by the dedication it takes.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several gifts and prizes to share from AMUI, whose group is free to join at this time. Some are traditional blues but a few are breaking that mold, yet with the same striated appearance that denim weave provides. The style is strappy and flirty with that bodice opening, and I really like the look of the stitching that creates a ruffly bow in the front of the skirt.

I am so ready for the weekend! The weather is ridiculously cold, but otherwise I am looking forward to the farmers market in the morning. If I'm really lucky, I'll find time to watch Stranger Things, although that isn't entirely up to me so I may need the power of persuasion on my side. There was a mouse in one of the traps again this morning, which has been safely relocated to the park. I don't blame them for wanting to be warmer, but they really can't get to any of the food here so the shelter is the only practical reason to sneak in. Paparazzi Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is welcoming a new year with some gifts for the Paparazzi group, currently free to join. That means all these generous gifts are ours at no cost whatsoever, and they've got a terrific amount of participating brands that we can explore. The group notices are loaded with information about sales, new releases, and plenty of helpful updates for us. I hope you all find something new to freshen up your wardrobe for 2026!

My first look comes from [WellMade] and is their Marwenna Top & Vest pairing. Each piece is provided in Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Slink Hourglass sizes, as well as a HUD with 2 textures for each. The vest can be deep brown or black, and our tank top has two animal prints to pick from, as you can see above :) Of course we can wear the top without the vest for even more versatility, and we can pair these with any pants, leggings, or skirts we already love. 

I also picked up the Petry Model--> Outfit UOLN gift, which is a flirty skirt set whose tank top has a pattern of tiny bunnies in crowns with the word Princess scattered about. The holographic texture made me think of champagne, and fancy nail polish, so that's two things I associate with this time of year :) Anyone else out there pay more attention to their RL nails for the holidays? This playfully casual look is the Paparazzi gift from MONOMANIA called Authenticity. It includes the hoodie and shorts in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies each, and our combat boots fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink flat feet. Pairing shorts beneath a hoodie brings me back to evenings at the beach when it got a little chilly, and the boots have the letters LV in pink above a heart that has a classic tattoo style. Intriguing imagery if I do say so myself :)

My final look this evening is from a favorite place of mine for multi-designer group gifts and generally for creating complete outfits to wear all at once, Composer Girls Fashion. This is their !CGF-*Zoeie* Complete Skirt Outfit, which has a really fun style for any time of year. The tube top comes in 5 standard sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, then the jacket has classic S, M, and L sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The skirt fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, and the matching boots come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. I have every intention of enjoying the top and skirt with simple sandals and no jacket in hot weather, and maybe swapping the skirt for a pair of jeans to head somewhere snowy.

It's been a strange start to the new year, but I am not going to take it as an omen or anything. There was a mouse in one of the traps downstairs, now happily relocated to the nearby park, and the housemate almost addressed the issue of my saggy windows in this room. That top window pane wouldn't budge though, and I'm not 6'5" like he is with the arm reach of a basketball player ;) So I can't fix it either. Eventually it'll happen, but until then I'm lucky to get it over 68 degrees in here even with the little heater on full blast. I mentioned to a friend when it was 66.6 degrees in here, LOL, and she was like "you must keep it way cooler than I do, my heat is always set for 72" and I had to giggle and explain it's not by choice.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we're back at the Holiday Shop & Hop event, this time on the Lavendar region, to check out some of the many generous gifts to be found. Between those and the discounted offers, you really don't want to miss this wonderful opportunity to get to know some of SL's top designers and see what they create for all of us. Red is one of those versatile colors that might make you think of Christmas this time of year (especially paired with green), Valentine's Day in a month or so, or just a red hot dress or outfit any other time of year. So the Jojo's Fashion - Djoe Outfit Red gift is going to be fun all year long :) This sexy bodysuit comes in sizing for Legacy, Bombshell, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, with a HUD that offers 14 colors for the belt and 4 gems. The gems are found on the heart shaped belt buckle, and the belt colors also tint the waistband and stripes down each leg :) It says Christmas on the left above with the green, sure, but the baby blue on the right is much more timeless.

"Peace - Joy - Love" is a perfect message for all of us, no matter what time of year, so I'm thankful for Les sucreries de Fairy and their * Carmine Outfit * gift ♥. Our new corset and matching skirt are each provided in Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes, deep cranberry red with charcoal trim. The skirt has built in panties that really do help since it's such a micro mini, and the little ruffled edges all over make me smile. This store also has a gift of seasonal decor, so they really do have something for everyone :)

Some folks live for Halloween year round, so why not Christmas? :) The {GH} Vento di Seta - Christmas Trees Gift from Gabrielle Hamelin is a stunning halter dress with wide strap and gathered on the left side of the skirt. The evergreen trees and snow are delightful, and I'm not really ready to let go of Christmas just yet I guess.

For my final look of the evening, we see the charming Carol's Shop & Hop Christmas Gift. This cozy sweater has a high neck, cropped body with white knit pattern, and solid puffed sleeves that elevate the look from casual to a touch more fancy. I'd certainly hang onto it for future use, as I always do with this type of HUD. You never know what body will be in your future, as I have shifted over the years from one to another to yet another :) Now that I think on it, I've gone from Slink Physique to Maitreya to Slink Hourglass to Legacy to Lara X, while still wearing 3 of the 5 almost equally.

Happy New Year 🥳!! I don't usually do New Years resolutions because they tend to always sound the same and get ignored a week later, LOL, but I do take stock of things that improved in the previous year and what I need to focus on for the incoming fresh start of a new year :) My anxiety and agoraphobia have become less debilitating in some ways, and I'll gladly celebrate any health improvement. I'm still working on positive self-talk, being as kind to myself as I would be to others, and I'd really like to find a gentle exercise program that I can do at home. It would also be good to clear some things off my poor tivo, which is groaning at an awkward 96% full. I've been hearing fireworks for the past 7 hours off and on, and it is officially the new year in my time zone now, so I am excited and curious about what 2026 will look like. Blue SL (Da Ba Dee)

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we get to visit the BLUE SL Event, which always has such great offers (50L bargains!) and some generous group gifts as well. Their group is free to join, and if you hang out for a while with the group tag active as I did, you might automatically win a special gift too :) The current round is open until the 8th of January, so we've got just over a week to pick up demos and enjoy our shopping while claiming some really thoughtful gifts. A few of them are set up that you'll need to pay $1L but it will be immediately refunded while your gift is delivered, so that way there is a record and it can be delivered in the future if needed. As for my title, I got into the habit of using blue-themed song titles for posts about this event, and it became a bit of a guilty pleasure :)

I'm always delighted to share goodies from Emerald Couture, like this lovely EC Bloom Dress Teal gift. The floral pattern is in some of my favorite colors, which look especially pretty together in my opinion.

I'm feeling like Santa pulling treats out of his sack here, but look - I found another one! This is the @rOrO Khloe Blouse Pink & Teal gift, and its exquisite styling gives us a boat neck, puffed sleeves, an inverted V waistline, and fun crossed straps in the back. This gift includes sizes for Erika, Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies. The gradient of colors is gorgeous!

My final look of the night is our Rowan Dress Set Red gift from Allure Couture. Its dress, panties, and boots are all provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The dress has a print of maple leaves in various hues, and the boots are studded in gold on both outer sides to add some sparkle to our look :) I'm sure you can tell why I was so happy to share this, and you won't be surprised when you see me out and about wearing it.

My day got off to a chaotic start, and never really calmed down...I was supposed to go out at 3, but the housemate decided to go out and wasn't home until after 4. That means I didn't go out until rush hour, which of course is just fantastic for anxiety :P  The entire trip, to the store and back, was a litany of how these things never happen when I'm not in the car and it's my karma causing traffic and poor drivers all around. If you just raised an eyebrow, welcome to my world, LOL. Needless to say, I was in a tizzy when I got home, and didn't find everything that I wanted but at least a couple nice items. I'm not going anywhere until Friday now, and that suits me just fine. I hope you're all having a nice day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Shop and Hop Gilded

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some wonderful Holiday Shop & Hop gifts to share, this time from the Gilded region. There are 18 regions with 360 total stores, all of which are offering discounted merchandise and a gift for all visitors. Since they are open until the 4th of January, you will be seeing more here again soon ;) I do show you the gifts one region at a time for organization's sake, and I also highly recommend the FabFree spreadsheet that they've worked so hard on. This can be sorted by the tabs at the bottom by region, type, or store name, so you can browse for what you most need and desire. I'm always grateful to the FabFree team, and of course to the talented designers who take part each round in the Shop & Hop events ♥. Just think, the next one will be Valentines so that'll be here before we know it!

For my first look, I'm wearing one of the gifts from ERSCH called Cirbie Suit -silver-. It has a really fun metallic texture and is gathered in several spots, making me think of space travel and roleplay :) The bodysuit, sleeves, and legs are separates in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Mounds, and Waifu mesh bodies. One of my favorite features is the heart shaped cutout in front of the neckline :)

I did mention that first look was "one of" the gifts from ERSCH, since I can't resist sharing another one of theirs as well. That would be this Flassia Bodysuit pat -green gray straps- treat, probably a nod to St. Patrick's Day based on the name but certainly not limited to it. Our suit has a high collar style neck, linked front and back with a large metal ring, above teardrop openings from each view. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Mounds, and Waifu mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 10 metals for those rings I mentioned. The stripes are very flattering, and the legs have the same high cut as the other bodysuit to show off the hips and some booty.

How fantastic is this dress? Our .:FlowerDreams:. Nana dress gift is both gorgeous and versatile, thanks to a HUD with 8 patterns to choose from. The dress is included in sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. We get a playful glimpse of cleavage through the keyhole opening, and the collar means no necklace is needed to complete the look. If anything, I would probably add some earrings or a bracelet to go with whichever pattern I choose :)

QUEENZ is one of those brands who lives up to their name, because their fashions will have us all feeling and looking like royalty :) They have 2 gifts waiting for us, so I'm starting with the .Q. Riveting -FATPACK- treat. It's got some intriguing straps and open back and sides, with a knee-length pencil skirt that has a walking slit in the back. There are Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Muneca, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes provided, along with a HUD that lets us select from 11 textures. Those are mostly solids but there are 2 lovely patterns like the one on the right above, so we have plenty of possibilities.

My final look of the night is a striking gown called .Q. Forever -FATPACK-, probably so named because you'll want to enjoy it forever ;) It is designed for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, with a HUD offering 13 sweet textures. The gold glittery one on the right is absolutely dreamy for New Year's Eve, and makes me feel like an Oscar statue, LOL! Yes, that is a good thing, at least in SL where everything fits perfectly and doesn't need layers of shapewear beneath to smooth us out. I always associate gold with NYE, silver too but pretty much anything sparkly or metallic will do. Heck, even the region this gift is on is Gilded, so gold really felt right.

My day had a bit of a surprise, as my Hello Kitty gaming friend had to switch nights to this evening for our multiplayer and chat :) That was fun as always, and we helped her husband find the last of a collectible in the game that he just needed 2 more (anniversary cards). She'd found all hers a while ago, but he tends to be more laid back and less 'urgent completionist' about tasks in games. He's got a few characters stuck somewhere waiting for him to decide to finish their quest, LOL, and realizes and laughs about it every week. They are waiting in a specific area, not stuck as in midair or under a rock or somewhere weird. There is more content coming next month that will include a whole new Sanrio character named Moppu, a sweet little bear who wears a blanket like a cloak. We play on Switch which is the last platform to get any new updates though, so I expect we'll be complaining about the delays soon ;) Otherwise I'm planning on going out tomorrow to a new Aldi's that opened nearby, I forget when but it is a good reason to get out of the house and among other humans. I'll grab some cheese and beverages, and I'm sure some snacks like crackers will mysteriously appear in my cart too...funny how food does that sometimes, eh?
