Paper.Sparrow and The Free Dove

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring a mini hunt at The Free Dove, courtesy of the Paper.Sparrow store. I just found out about it, and it started on the 15th of January and initially I saw an ending date of February 12th so eagerly headed out on the hunt trail. There are 5 prizes at The Free Dove to claim with their free group tag active, and 5 cleverly hidden at the Paper.Sparrow mainstore with their group (also free to join) tag active for all these free gifts. When I unpacked the wonderful prizes, the image inside showed an ending date of January 31st which would be tomorrow. I am hoping the prizes are available for longer than that so you have enough time to visit both locations and pick up all 10 generous treats :) The theme of the hunt is Resolutions, and I must admit that I usually do not make new year's resolutions but in this case I am certainly on board! The clothing features slogans for fantastic goals that we can all support and hopefully find useful in our own lives. You are looking for tiny "22" images, white on a transparent background so they can hide on just about any type of surface. Be sure to look carefully up and down, in and out, and maybe even on the ceiling at the mainstore :) 

My first look has two prizes that can both be found at The Free Dove itself. The Paper.Sparrow Stop Depression Athena Top has a fun style with one side slightly lifted, and says "stop depression" just as the name references. Our jeans here are one of 3 among our 10 prizes, the Paper.Sparrow No Anxiety Aime Jeans. They are a dark shade of grey denim with a few shredded sections in the front, with cuffed legs and the word Anxiety in a red "no" symbol on the rear left pocket. All of our hunt prizes are created in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. 

I kept those jeans on to wear beneath two more awesome prizes found at The Free Dove, starting from the left with the Paper.Sparrow Choose Peace Halsey Top. Its barcode across the front has the words "choose peace" beneath, and I love the combo of extra cropped sweater with high neckline and long sleeves. On the right I am wearing our Paper.Sparrow No Drama Athena Top prize, whose text is in a funky graffiti type font that really catches the eye. Both shirts are in neutral colors so they will match anything you desire to wear with them. 

The "no anxiety" image makes an appearance here on the Paper.Sparrow No Anxiety Athena Top found at The Free Dove. It is so cozy looking, the way the sleeves and hem are cuffed so tightly it is more like a curl. The light grey jeans are our Paper.Sparrow No Drama Aime Jeans, which can be found at the Paper.Sparrow mainstore. The image on the rear pocket should look familiar from my previous photo, but of course you can wear it with any of the tops from the hunt as well as just about anything in your inventory. 

I chose two more tops and another pair of jeans to combine in this look. On the left is the Paper.Sparrow Be Kind Halsey Top, an excellent motto for not just a resolution but year round good advice. The tiny flower is a special touch, isn't it? Its dark counterpart on the right is called Paper.Sparrow Love Yourself Halsey Top, and can be found in their mainstore just like all of this photo's prizes. The saying is another important suggestion that we all need reminding of from time to time. As for my jeans, those are the Paper.Sparrow Choose Peace Aime Jeans prize and have the same "Choose Peace" UPC barcode as the corresponding shirt from the second image above. This time it is split across both rear pockets of our light grey jeans that are a shade or two deeper than the No Drama pair. 

My final look this evening is the Paper.Sparrow 22 Athena Skirt & Top hunt prize, found at their mainstore and with the hunt object "22" across the front of the top. The skirt has a clever dip both front and back of the waistband, and a playful polka dot pattern on the same beautiful shade of pink as the top. I do suggest for variety, mixing and matching these pieces right along with all the other hunt prizes if you want a pop of color. 

It was a quiet, snowy weekend here, and I didn't leave the house at all so there is not much to say about it. I enjoyed being able to relax, and got a lot of thoughtful birthday messages that lifted my spirits. Beauty Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I visited the Beauty Event, a monthly occurrence where we can find special offers for $77L apiece from lots of terrific designers. There are also group gifts (free to join) in the main room upstairs, just head all the way back from the main entrance as far as you can go :) There are 4 gifts and a group-exclusive sales offer there, all from the talented designer LsR Moda. Then while upstairs, head to the north wall and with your free Mesh Body Friends group tag active you can claim prizes from 20 different lucky boards when your initial or a "?" wild card shows up. Two free groups, tons of treats to help you start your weekend!

My first look this evening is the [ LsR ] - Sexy Alice Pink Beauty dress, which is a Beauty Event group gift. It comes in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, with a fun layered style. The laced corset with garter belts is attached over a barely buttoned floral print blouse, giving us the possibility of adding our favorite thigh high stockings beneath. 

Next I shimmied into the [ LsR ] - Sexy Itziar Beauty Event Gift, which includes two versions of the same flirty slip dress. They are each provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. What caught your eye first, the short hem or the deep neck and arm openings? Maybe it was the knotted hemline, or the way it gets so short in the rear. Personally I really like both textures, the polka dots and the childlike drawings both made me smile.

[ LsR ] - Sexy Beauty Shirt Gift definitely caught my attention, first of all because I love the combination of silver and pink. This has a very sweet look from the front, but then we turn around and wow! That is a deep daring opening in the back :) Our gift includes sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. It is entirely up to you if you decide to layer pants beneath, or a sheer lace top (or bodysuit?) for a touch of modesty. I think I might, depending on my destination.

Over at the lucky boards, I changed into the Mesh Body Friends group tag and marveled at the many possible prizes I could win like this [ LsR ] - Sexy Frida Dress. It comes in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, with a 30 color HUD so you can change the look with ease. The unique sleeves grabbed my attention, and I think the bronze color on the right makes the fabric look so rich and luxurious!

My final look of the evening is another lucky board prize called [ LsR ] - Sexy Hanni Set. The top and skirt are each ruffled and slightly asymmetrical, and are sized for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies. Remember how I said the other day that my birthday dinner at my parents' would still be taking place? *facepalm* Their fridge died and they had to do a lot of reshuffling and just could not handle dinner tonight, which I understand and accept with much sympathy. I offered them what little spare room there is in my fridge, and we are just rescheduling the dinner for next Friday instead. I feel like every single time I make plans it is a jinx of some sort, but at least nobody is sick or injured to prevent these plans so I am not upset. Tomorrow's farmers market was already canceled, and the hockey game scheduled for the afternoon should be happening but we did get at least 3" of snow so far with more falling all night so anything is possible. Safyra's Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I visited a new-to-me store called SAFYRA'S, where I was able to join their group for free and claim several fantastic group gifts. Their style is very provocative, so their fashions will certainly help you turn heads :) I enjoyed browsing around their store, and will surely be back for some sexy shopping.

First we see the [S] Cassia Set, a full outfit with a playful casual flavor. The top, pants, and shoes are all provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with a HUD to choose from 12 colors for the top, 5 for the pants, and 6 shoe hues ;) The gift also includes pom pom earrings in three colors (black, blue, and red) as well as the owl necklace I am wearing. 

Next I changed into the [S] Lara Set, which is another group gift you don't want to miss. Its dress with built in halter harness comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with coordinated ankle boots to fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. There is a HUD with 12 textures for the dress and 6 colors for the straps of the harness, so you can get really creative with mixing and matching. There are some system/BOM layers provided too, a pair of panties (calcinha) and 6 different pairs of socks for extra variety. 

I must admit that I don't speak Portuguese so I have no idea what many of the sayings on the dress of the [S] Brasileira Set mean, which does not stop me from enjoying it :) The dress is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, while the heels fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. The dress has a 16 texture HUD that changes the wording on the front, two in English (the one on the right and another that says my BFF is crazy) and all the others in Portuguese. This outfit also includes the earrings I am wearing here and a pair of system/BOM panties beneath, as our designer clearly appreciates accessories too.

This outfit is probably the one I had in mind most when I mentioned how sexy they all were :) It's called [S] Francielly Set and will have you ready for a mature beach vacation or anywhere you wish! The top, pants, and bikini bottom each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, while the black platforms are sized for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. There is a HUD with 6 colors each for top, pants, and bikini, so you can mix and match those hues. There is even an owl necklace included like the one in the first group gift I shared tonight. The top has the pasties built in, so they will automatically match whatever color you select for the top itself. 

My final look of the evening is the daring [S] Claire Set, another versatile group gift with plenty of bonus features. The tiny tank top and distressed mini skirt each come in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with heels in Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink sizing. For accessories, we have the choker and sunglasses I am sporting here, both unrigged so we can adjust as needed. There is also a HUD for the clothing with 12 choices each, top and skirt, so we can change them separately as I've done or match them to one another. If you look closely you will also see a system/BOM layer "bikini" which is tan lines mimicking having worn a string bikini top and bottom, delicately peeking out from above and below our clothing.

Emerald Couture Gems

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have good news about Emerald Couture, who are reopened after closing suddenly in November due to the designer's health. I found out recently that they are open again in a new location, so I rejoined their free group (it was a victim of my Advent group juggling) and happily visited to see what was new. There is a wall with many group gifts, some of which have appeared here on my blog already, with 4 newer ones that have a distinct trend of the color red. All of these can be yours by right clicking each vendor and paying $1L which will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered. This way it can be redelivered if you ever need it. There are also a dozen lucky chairs in the same room, across from the group gifts and midnight mania boards. 6 of these chairs need the group tag and the other 6 do not I believe, but since I already had it active I was able to claim from all the chairs. Each chair contains multiple outfits so there are numerous treats to win, just by sitting in the chair when your legacy name initial shows up or a "?" wild card that allows anyone to win. My first look of the evening is the EC Nicki Outfit v2 group gift, a fun and flirty outfit in maroon and black. The crop draped sweater, mini skirt with attached belt, and above-the-knee boots are all provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The long sleeves and high boots say winter, but the bare midriff and thighs say we can heat things up in our own way with this set ;)

Another generous group gift is our EC Dolores Outfit Red n Black. This is also fully loaded, with a tight red dress and black cropped biker style jacket each in a standard S size as well as Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body versions. The coordinated boots are included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Maitreya, and Slink bodies. We even receive the black fishnet stockings in system/BOM layers and an applier for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink compatible bodies. So sexy!

For a softer style but still in bold coloring, we have the charming EC Deborah Dress v2 Red group gift. This lovely flowing dress comes in standard mesh sizes and a fitted version for classic avatars, along with Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. That deep V neckline will frame your favorite necklace perfectly, and I am a huge fan of floral patterns like this fabric is adorned with. 

We aren't quite done with red for the evening, since the lucky chair prize called EC Anzu Outfit Apple has some splashes of it :) The halter top and skirt are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. The mix of red and green apples on the top is reflected in the red lacing holding the skirt together, and the matching green of the waistband, for a very nicely coordinated appearance. 

One more look this evening, which comes from a lucky chair and is called EC Kimono Kim Dress Blue. It is included in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. The fabric looks like it has calligraphy and flower petals on it, with a wide belt (called an obi I think) in blue to match the trim. The bow on the back is a beautiful detail, and I enjoy the way this mixes modern and traditional elements. 

With a late January birthday I am no stranger to the challenges of winter plans, yet I still find myself frustrated when the weather interferes with things. The farmers market for Saturday (my birthday) has already been canceled because of the possibility of snow, although the reports I am seeing are indicating that the bulk of the storm will not be hitting my exact area. I wasn't even going to tell anyone there that it was my birthday, it's not like I wanted to show up in a tiara and expect special treatment LOL, just wanted to enjoy time with some of my favorite people. Dinner on Friday is still a go, and I am trying to focus on that positive. Kinky Pinky at The Free Dove

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood to visit The Free Dove, and stumbled across a new-to-me designer called Kinky Pinky. They have a display with 4 wonderful dresses that you can claim for free with your "Blessed by a Dove" group tag from the Free Dove group. It is free to join that group, and that tag enables you to claim all the gifts in the entire building. That is quite an impressive amount, and the variety means you can find all sorts of treats for men and women such as clothing, accessories, shapes, hair, and much more. This is the first landmark I share with new residents who are looking to build their wardrobe without spending a ton of lindens all at once, which would be overwhelming on any budget. We can thank Dove (Palomma Casanova) by making a donation, and thank the designers by visiting their mainstores and doing some shopping. First we have the - Kinky Pinky - Millie Love Dress gift, living up to the name with a heart cutout in the front and sketched hearts decorating the fabric. It comes in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and TMP mesh bodies, with a 3 color HUD so you can change the accent coloring. From behind it resembles a bodysuit with frilled skirt since it is fairly short and the built in panties are visible, but that does provide a touch of modesty. 

This charming look is the - Kinky Pinky - Africa Dress, probably named for the zebra print borrowed from one of that continent's majestic creatures. The neckline is decorated with floral embroidery to match the trim at the hemline, and the HUD lets us select from 4 shades that tint the embroidered parts and some sections of animal print, for a subtle and beautiful look. Our gift includes Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh body sizes.

- Kinky Pinky - Daisy Dress has a solid satin center panel both front and back, surrounded by sheer material in bloom with its namesake flowers. I noticed somewhat belatedly (like right now!) that my nipples are indeed peeking through, LOL, but it is not terribly obvious so just something to bear in mind when you wear this beauty. It comes in Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and TMP sizes, with a 6 color HUD for the satin panels. The zipper down the back is a fun detail, since some of these fashions I do wonder how one would get in and out of them in RL.

My final look this evening is the - Kinky Pinky - Angela Dress, a shiny strapless treat in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and TMP mesh bodies. The seams really accentuate every curve, and the 3 colors via HUD are all showstoppers. Sometimes I want dark and mysterious, other times these bright cheery colors are the way to go, just depends on mood and personal tastes.

More Siss Boom Sweets

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are still feeling lucky at Siss Boom, with about 50 lucky boards to win prizes from without any group tag needed. Just wait for your initial to show up and give that board a click, easy peasy! Many of the prizes are smart casual looks, with a few formal gowns in the mix so you can win something for just about any occasion. I always have a good time visiting and browsing, plus who can resist the thrill of winning free fashions?

Luck At Siss Boom

 Hiya everyone! Tonight you only need some luck and a bit of spare time to visit Siss Boom and see what prizes you can win. Next I shimmied into the gorgeous -sb-bright black lucky board prize. My final look of the evening is a delightful prize, the -sb-entanglement aqua dress. I do love my denim textures of course, and the wedge of blue both front and back has fantastic seams and a small slit on the left thigh. The aqua fabric really caught my eye too, and the built in harness creates a halter choker and high waisted belt all at once! Chaotic Weekend

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's title is a play on words, since we are visiting a store called Chaotic rather than adding any actual chaos to our weekends :) The style here at Chaotic is sensual with lots of bold colors, so these are fashions intended to turn heads! When we land at the store, we can follow the bright arrows outside to the group gifts section which has lots of treats for various multi-designer groups (like FabFree, SLFO, etc.) but what I did was head inside the main entrance where I found a section of subscriber gifts. The first time I clicked one of those, it asked if I wanted to subscribe to receive the gift so of course I said yes. Then I was able to click all the photos on that wall and receive several fantastic gifts without taking up any precious group slots. I am looking forward to finding out any updates of new releases and events they take part in, so it is a win-win situation. 

First we have the charming {Chaotic} Sondra {Group Gift} 2022, a deep red dress dusted with white polka dots and trimmed in red lace at the hem. I was drawn to the way the straps start at the back, cross over to the front, and cross again to loop through the bodice and tie together in a bow. It was a chilly but nice day here, and I enjoyed chatting with my parents over dinner even if the news of the day was sad with two celebrity deaths. There was also some upsetting local news with gun related incidents in two nearby high schools, one in our exact school district and the other near where I grew up, so way too close to home. We did talk about more pleasant stuff too of course, and I am looking forward to next week celebrating my RL birthday there. Baby It's Cold Outside

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I chose the very appropriately named Baby It's Cold Outside Hunt from Cheeky Monkey Hunts to dive into. There are $1L prizes at several different stores, as well as $25L and $50L exclusive offers at some. Just check the hunt's website to see who is participating (with landmarks of course) and which priced components they are offering :) All are hidden with cute snowmen wearing knitted green hats and scarves, although the size of the snowpeople does vary since they can be resized. The website has hints too, so you can track down the prize or exclusive you want based on the matching hint. I hope you enjoy as much as I did :)

First we have the $1L prize at The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. named ANTISOCIAL Tee. For the record, I am more anxious-social or awkward-social, LOL, but that can make me seem antisocial so the label may apply. This comfy looking ribbed tank top comes in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing. I paired it with the blue Delizio jeans from their handy fatpack which is a free gift on the marketplace, several colors in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

My final look of the evening really embraces the theme of the hunt very well too, as when it is this cold outside I know I want to cuddle up in warm pajamas whenever possible. Wicked, Inc. knows this too it seems, as their $1L hunt prize is the Warm Inside Polar Bear Onsie which comes in sizing for men, women, and children all in the same snowman. The female set of sizes consists of fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, and covers us from neck to toe in a fun pattern of bears. It was a quiet day here which was nice after yesterday's busy outing to chiropractor etc., so I am going to try to sift through a little more of my unsorted inventory later when I am in SL. It's mostly older stuff if not sorted yet, so probably not needed. Hockey was a low point of my evening, but I'm not focusing on it or pouting. Tomorrow is dinner at my parents', and then weather permitting I'll be going to the farmers market Saturday morning. Oh Yes Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Oh Yes store, whose free group has several gifts currently available upstairs. There are treats for other groups too, but I am focusing on their store's group (free to join) this evening. Their style seems to be flirty and colorful, both of which I certainly appreciate :) One of the gifts (most recent, far left) was set for the wrong group and another simply did not deliver to me even when I clicked it multiple times and teleported away and back, but despite these little glitches I collected 5 wonderful treats that I am happy to share with all of you. I also could not resist the positive, uplifting name of the store. 

For my first look of the evening, I slipped into the :::::Oh-Yes::::: 2021GG06 bodysuit. This gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, with a HUD to choose from 3 color combinations. The contrasting trim and zigzag stitching are such fun details, and I like the way the top is separated just enough for a flash of flesh :)

Next we have the :::::Oh-Yes::::: 2021GG07 gift top, with pretty draped straps and wide waistband in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 3 vibrant colors to choose from, all with that playful pattern that it took me a moment to recognize as a skull with heart shaped eyes and a bow on top. This style can be worn with so many types of pants or skirts, for example the Delizio black jeans I went with from the marketplace freebie I rely on so often here :) I also can envision it with a leather mini skirt, flowing maxi, or maybe some studded pants in a matching hue.

I love strawberries, especially in smoothies, so this group gift certainly made me smile. 

My final look of the evening is a closer view of my new nails, the :::::Oh-Yes::::: 20210065 GIFT Nails. These mesh beauties are daringly long and come in sizes for Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink mesh hands. That shimmery shade looked pale pink in some lighting and more a lavender in others, with a slightly darker hue under the nails for even more intrigue. The squared off tips are a very popular shape, and look quite flattering as you can see :)
