CMH Harvest Moon

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post comes to us from Cheeky Monkey Hunts, and their November gridwide round called CMH Harvest Moon. We are looking for wheat, an image of 3 stalks (I am so unsure of the terminology there, LOL, but it's not sheaf because that's a harvested bundle) of the essential grain. The designers get to decide which and how many to hide, either 1L prizes or 25L - 50L hunt exclusives. There are images, hints, landmarks, and prices listed on the new CMH website, so it is very helpful to have that open and available while you hunt. There is a fantastic array of treats this round, like clothing and accessories for men, women, and dinkies, along with home decor so we can give our living space a new look as easily as our avatars :)

I'm starting at Starlight Apparel this evening, with their .{SA}. Lottie Fall Crop Sweater with HUD which is a 25L exclusive. The style with one side lifted is probably familiar if you're a fan of this brand (as I am!) but this special version has 4 seasonal colors to choose from via HUD. The furry and no fur variants are each provided in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu sizes. I'd like to remind you that I wear the nipple covers included with my body skin, otherwise the right one would probably be peeping out at us ;) I think this style would look great with a BOM bra or tank top layered beneath, for modesty and/or warmth.

I'm picking up good vibrations...sorry, the song always pops into my head when visiting GoodVibes ♥. Their Harvest Moon Wheat outfit is a lovely cropped turtleneck and maxi skirt, each in Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh body sizes. The top says Harvest Moon in gorgeous script, surrounded by fall leaves beneath a bright full moon. I love the way the skirt's pattern picks up the moon and leaves, while adding some branches and pine trees for a cozy, woodsy feeling. 

Next we've got a versatile 25L exclusive from ~Sassy!~ called Amber set - Harvest Moon. We have a high neck knit top, puffy vest, and belted skirt that buttons down the front, all in sizing for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, and Reborn bodies. The outfit looks just as chic and comfy with or without the vest, so it is up to you how you choose to wear it :) Part of me wants to dress it up with a long gold necklace, and another part wants to add combat boots for a more rugged feeling.

The Harambee-Gwassi charity store is offering a stunning DarkBlue Moon minidress outfit as their 25L exclusive. The fabric on the dress says "I love you to the moon and back" on a backdrop of moon craters and golden stars, so pretty! We receive the dress in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Nhumana, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. There are a couple of extra packages inside, one with a thong in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes and a slip (tiny crotch cover) designed to fit Inithium, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. The other box includes matching shoes in Belleza, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, so they are not shown only because I'm wearing the Legacy body. None of those sizes fit my foot, and I felt like Cinderella's stepsisters trying them all on, LOL! Now you know why I always make sure to mention all the sizes - so you can tell before you even leave your home to look for an outfit if it suits your personal preferences or not.

My final look of the night is our Gramma's *CHAOS CREATOR* Ladies LS T-shirt, which is yours for just one linden if you find the wheat. I'm guessing the LS in the name stands for long sleeve, and I've probably mentioned before that raglan style shirts (with the sleeves that go directly from neck to underarm) are a longtime favorite of mine. If you look closely at the left side of the moon, you'll see that the creator of chaos is a cat outlined against it :) The outline is black but it could be any color in the dark, not just the void kitties creating the mayhem. The shirt comes in 5 standard sizes (XS - XL) and what I did to find a good fit was to add the alpha layer first, see what is hidden, then add each size until one looked suitable. I know it's tricky when we're so used to adding the specific size for whatever mesh body we're wearing and 99% of the time it's an instant easy fit, but there are plenty of mesh bodies that can also wear a standard size with just a teensy bit more effort :) As with the first photo tonight, I am wearing the Delizio jeans in blue which are one of several hues in their fatpack from the marketplace. I have my newly revised plans all set for my outing tomorrow, so I am ready for a busy day that will mean no blogging in the evening. It will still be productive, just in RL instead of SL. It will be simple errands so nothing all that exciting, but the mundane is always an important part of life too. Swimming in The Shark Tank

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got treats to share from THE SHARK TANK, a brand that came to my attention recently from an event (Blue SL if you're curious). So I'm really glad I stopped by their mainstore too, where I found 5 group gifts (free to join) and 2 lucky chairs for the group members to enjoy as well. I have been a lucky chair enthusiast since my earliest days in SL, back when they were either squared and burgundy or round pac-man style in green and white, so it has become instinct to check them out when I see them :) The style of The Shark Tank's fashions suits me quite well, a mix of casual with beach vibes and some chic dressy looks for those days you want to feel more refined and elegant. If that sounds like your taste, come on over - the water is fine and the sharks are very friendly! You can even visit some outside the store at their club :)

My first look of the evening is a group gift called THE SHARK TANK SAMMI BLUE. I'd like to mention that there is also a black version among the gifts if blue isn't your thing. Our dress and ankle boots will each fit Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The square neckline is a style that I'd love to see more often honestly :)

I'm certainly feeling pretty in pink here, thanks to THE SHARK TANK MERIDITH PINK group gift! It includes the bodysuit, chain, shirt, and skirt you see, each in sizing for Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. The tied blouse layered over the bodysuit is such a fun look, and the chain adds some sparkle. I'm sure the bodysuit would work as swimwear too if you are so inclined.

That teeny zippered mini came in handy to show off THE SHARK TANK WOMENS SHARK TANK TOP gift, if you'd like to rep their brand while you're out and about :) It features the store logo on a black tank top with spaghetti straps, in sizes for Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. 

THE SHARK TANK CUKA BLUE gift is a wonderful way to elevate your elegance factor, with a halter jumpsuit that is cinched at the waist and even comes with matching shoes. There are Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu sizes for each piece. The blue is such a peaceful shade, I think that drew me to it just as much as the design.

My final look of the night is a lucky chair prize, THE SHARK TANK DAMSON WHITE. Somehow I accidentally typed it damnson at first, like "damn,son!" and that made me giggle because it would be appropriate. It consists of the cropped jacket, tiny tank top, and miniskirt, all in Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. The color has a frosty sheen to it that caught my eye, as I hope it does yours :) We can wear it with or without the jacket, as I've shown on the right with just the tank top that makes it more beachy looking.

Another chaotic day in the life of a midnight magpie...nothing too bad, just a change of plans from Tuesday to Wednesday. Anxiety makes me thrive on routine and certainty, like if someone tells me we are doing something at a specific date and time I feel reassured by that knowledge. Then if it changes last minute, the anxiety kicks in like "no wait, that's change and it's scary!". Anxiety can be louder than logic, but I'm trying to train my brain that logic deserves to be heard :) I've been changing channels on my Sirius XM app too much tonight because I've gone from hearing OPP to The Devil Went Down to Georgia in a very short amount of time and am getting musical whiplash. Current channel = 70s/80s/90s mix, mostly a good pick for me. I hope you're all having an awesome day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Scandalize Group Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting Scandalize, where there is an entire building full of generous gifts for their group. It's 100L to join but that gets you over 200 fatpacks of clothing and footwear to enjoy :) They have been a vital part of women's fashion in SL for such a long time, and it is fun to see what is new at their place :) Last night they had a random gift giver set up for group members with Halloween treats that sounds like a very limited time deal, but they also had 200L store credit for just 1L to claim. The closer we get to the December holidays, the more surprises we might find there too :) All of tonight's treats are found on the left side of the group gift building.

My first random pick of the night is our SCANDALIZE BASTEN SET SWEATER + JEANS group gift. Its sweater and jeans are in one package, each in Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu sizing. The sweater HUD offers 25 solid colors and 10 patterns to choose from, then the jeans HUD has 25 solid denim and 25 patterned denim (skeleton hands!) with the same 25 colors and 10 patterns for the laces (wrapped around the right leg) as you'll find on the sweater HUD. The heels are packed separately in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn feet, with a HUD that lets us choose from 25 colors each for the socks, heels, laces, and soles. We can get so creative with these HUDs, and the print I picked on the left says BOO so we do have a Halloween theme but the solid colors are perfect for any season.

If you (like me) have memories of Jane Fonda workout tapes or Richard Simmons' Sweating to the Oldies, it's time to get some medical screening tests you might feel some nostalgia from the SCANDALIZE. JESSA SET FATPACK gift. It starts with the top, panty, and pants, each in Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu sizes. The top HUD has 25 choices each as top 1, top 2, and top 3, then the panty HUD offers 25 colors for panty 1, panty 2, seams, and seams 2. The difference between 1 and 2 seems to be the XO pattern where the O is a heart ♥ which I love. The pants have a similar HUD with 25 colors for pants 1, pants 2, and the seams which also tints the waistband. Open the unpacker for the heels and you'll find Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn versions inside, as well as a HUD that lets us choose from 25 colors apiece for the heels, heels 2, sole, and insole. So much fun!

Next I've changed into the SCANDALIZE. MARRA TOP + JEANS FATPACK gift, which has a playful surprise for the rear view ;) Our top and separate sleeves each come in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies, with a HUD to pick from 40 solid colors, 20 cheetah print hues, and 24 patterns. Then we dig into the jeans, provided in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizing with a HUD that has 20 fun shades of denim to choose from. I was surprised to turn around and see that the pockets are being held on by mere strings, as the denim surrounding them has gotten more distressed than someone whose phone is down to 1% battery. 

Are you loving the footwear with added sock layers as much as I am? :) The SCANDALIZE. Lethy set FATPACK has them too, along with a dress, hoodie, and G-string. The G-string has a 25 color HUD too, so that can match or contrast however you wish. Dig into the package for the heels and you'll find Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn sizes, along with a HUD that has the same 25 hues for our socks, strap, heels, and sole. I want to male a sole/soul pun here, but my wordplay game is feeling weak tonight ;)

My final look has me slipping happily back into jeans, thanks to the SCANDALIZE-ANETH BIKINI + JEANS FATPACK group gift. I'm strolling down memory lane because of the denim, yet very much appreciating the modern twists as far as styles go, not just this gift but all of them :) The bikini top and bottom each fit Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies, with a HUD (not surprised by that I'm sure) offering 30 solids and 16 prints apiece for the top, bottom, and strings that hold it all in place. Our jeans fit Legacy, Maitreya and Reborn bodies, and their HUD lets us pick from 20 fantastic denim colors. If I'm recalling correctly, they were blue and grey/black with a peach and a pink included too, so branching out a bit from the more typical denims for those oh-so-fun alternatives.

Whew, I think this weekend was just what I needed :) I'm not sure what my therapist expected when I said earlier that the last 2 weeks were rough, but probably not that two people in my life died and I can't stop thinking about a girl who went to my grade school briefly and I was told she died but on the entire internet there is only 1 shred of evidence that she ever existed. Unusual first name, common last name, one single search result is a yearbook from 2nd grade from a different school. My mom remembers her name but not that she died, and I now can't ask the person I was going to because that's the friend whose mom just passed. Life is so strange sometimes, and I am eagerly planning for the holidays so I am not all doom and gloom :) I hope you're all having a nice day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Have a Fabulous Weekend

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is a mixture of moods and styles, but what they have in common is that they're all group gifts from FabFree in SL. You don't have to pay to join their group, or to receive any of these sweet treats, so there's no reason not to indulge and pick them up :) I chose one fall-themed outfit and one Halloween one to show you, so we even get some seasonal goodies among the many generous possibilities. 

My first stop was [Sexy Princess] for their playful Calista Set gift, which does in fact make me feel like a sexy princess :) This look is two pieces - tube top with two straps down the front and a micro miniskirt with built in panties - each in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. They fit together so perfectly that it does look like a single piece, but this way you can wear them separately if you wish. The snowy white color stands out as being universally flattering and easy to accessorize.

[satus Inc] also has a special gift waiting for us, named Brixley Sleeveless Crop Top & Shorts Dots. The pattern is delightful, and the bow (scarf?) attached to the left shoulder has similar colors in a different print for added visual appeal. There are Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes included for each piece. It is getting cooler here in RL, but I think that makes some people crave warmer SL weather. So this would suit that idea quite nicely :)

Next we're cruising to Hello Uglies to grab their HU - Darlena Strange outfit. The top says "Beautifully Strange" in purple on a dark background with green twinkling stars, and I'm loving the crossed straps both front and back. I can't neglect the intricately crafted skirt either, with a sheer purple ruffle layer and double belts on the right front of the waist. I think it leans Goth which can be appropriate for Halloween but certainly not limited to it, and personally I've been drawn to the darker side of SL fashions lately ;) 

I did promise something fall, and I think the GoodVibes Cozy Autumn set is just the ticket. The top and bottom are separates in sizing for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies. The top is barely tied closed at the neck, with ribbons that match the solid tan trim of the balloon shaped shorts. Both pieces have a wonderful pattern of falling leaves that coordinates nicely with that solid color trim, and it does indeed look like a cozy outfit for lounging or popping over to your favorite stores. 

My final look of the night is also my last Halloween outfit of the year (I think), courtesy of Dark Salvation. Their .::DS::. Asaka Party Bats is a flirty pairing of tube top and fluttery skirt, each in Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu sizes. The top is trimmed in green while the skirt has an attached purple belt whose buckle reminds me of a seatbelt, with fun silver chain draped across the front. Both trim colors are found in the pattern of black bats with dots and stars in various hues, as though our batty friends are flying through a cloud of confetti :) There are 2 other similar gifts for other groups on the same wall as this one, so be sure to peek at those too before Halloween season comes to a close. 

When texting I find myself frequently sending the reaction gif of Kermit the frog flailing around frantically, and that's about how I feel right now. My childhood best friend's mom passed away, and they live quite far away now (like 1000 miles) so I hadn't seen the friend or her mom in ages. Back then she was a second mom to me, and I was already processing the discussions at dinner about my godfather's funeral this afternoon. Rough to process, but I'm doing my best. The plans for Thanksgiving prep were another big topic that did not get fully resolved, but a start is better than nothing. My stomach is uneasy from stress, not terribly surprising I suppose. Blue Moon

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is full of treats from the Blue SL event, gifts for their VIP group which is free to join. As for my title, I got into the habit of using song titles with the word blue in them for this event, and wanted something a little reminiscent of Halloween so the moon = night, and that can be spooky for some just like the end of October :) Of course my brain is trying to recall all the lyrics now...blue moon, you saw me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own...I am pretty sure it's got a happy ending so not scary, just a classic song of love and longing.

This blossom looks like it's been surrounded by chalk or watercolor paint, just a stunning image on our cozy tank top. You can guess that I am headed to their mainstore soon to see if they have it in other colors/fabrics too, because I'm pretending they're Pokémon and gotta catch 'em all! When we enter the event building, there is always a special VIP gift immediately to the right in a large box. This round our Intisl VIP Gift contains the black dress, pink dress, and boots you see here. The black dress and boots each fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn sizes, with a Kupra version of the pink dress added to that size set as well. If you've ever taken a photograph and then noticed later that a body part you didn't intend to show off was visible, LOL, then you will understand why I had to add a little white 'modesty flower' to the hem of the black dress. That's a photoshop edit and nothing in SL at all. My pose made the mesh fold in just the right (wrong?) place to emphasize why we need undies with our SL dresses ;) Xan could tell you that when we leave the house, if I'm wearing a skirt of any kind I will stop and do a panty check before teleporting, because we are almost always headed to a general or moderate themed locale.

My final look of the night is a stunning combination of mesh and flexi prims, bringing different eras of SL clothing together wonderfully. The Allure Couture - Nocturna Set Black starts with the mesh corset, collar, gloves, and boots, all in sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Waifu mesh bodies. Then we add the billowy skirt, which flutters with any movement and has a spooky pattern of crescent moons and skulls that are just right for this season or anytime your mood says so. 

I had a busy couple of days, mostly from the haircut yesterday that turned out well :) I wound up having to wait outside for about 20 minutes for my ride, which I was unprepared for from a sunscreen standpoint. So yep, my ghostly pale skin got a little bit of pink, and I'm having fun dabbing aloe gel on it. No gaming night with friends this evening because they weren't available, but I am pretty sure we will be back on track next Thursday with that :) I can't believe Halloween is almost here, with October being so busy I guess it just flew by like a bat or a witch on a broom. Happy Anniversary Kustom9

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the Kustom9 Event. We just need to join the KP VIP group (no fee) and we'll be able to click all the pretty gift boxes at most of the displays for lots of generous treats :) It is such a joy to take time to appreciate the longevity of Kustom9, and I wish them and all their designers continued success. We have until the 9th of November, so still plenty of time, to enjoy the event and do some shopping.

Our SPIRIT - K9 Exclusive 13th Birthday Gift makes me glad I'm wearing nipple covers, lol, since without them I believe the right one would be partly exposed. It honors the event's nickname, but also might make people think you've been out on the streets with a police canine unit ;) That might also explain the splashes on the sleeves...again, that is always left to your imagination. I've got a fondness for all shades of pink and for polka dots, so our littlefox. - Blossom top // special exclusive gift is probably one of my favorites of the entire event. The bare shoulders and long sleeves make for a clever contrast, and the way the torso of the shirt is gathered and wrinkled gives a realistic feeling that I do appreciate. The top comes in Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. 

Another gift that is simply the tops (yes, I do love weird wordplay) is our Loki - Checkered Shirt - Kustom9 13th Birthday Gift. This flirty treat looks to have a bra layered beneath, if you look along the cleavage you will see some lace and a tiny peep of pink in the very center. I am running behind because of spending time multitasking, chatting with my mom (among other attendees) about plans for our Thanksgiving gathering. I think it boiled down to her not having any details yet but wanting to talk about it anyway? LOL, I tease but I do adore her and I am happy to help her keep things moving in the right direction. Anything to reduce stress, am I right? Speaking of stress, I won't be blogging tomorrow because I will be getting my hair cut, and I haven't exactly decided what I want done with it. Yasum Design Discounts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are checking out the new releases section at Yasum Design, where the generous designer is kind enough to pick one color of each design to sell for just 1L. That's an incredible savings, and as a result I have such a range of colors and styles from this fantastic brand :) To find the dollarbies, just look for the heart balloon above the display and then the individual color will be marked with a balloon animal in a pale purple hue. We've got several discounted outfits to check out right now, and I'm showing you a handful here. All of these are provided in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. 

For my first look I've chosen the lovely Yasum*Josy-Romper*Moss. It has some terrific details like the row of coins dangling beneath the bust, deep V neckline, and puffy shorts that have gold designs adorning them. We receive a HUD with 7 metals and 7 choices for the coins, as well as an "off" option for those coins. To turn them back on, just pick another metallic shade for them :) The metals other than the coins are the tips of the strings in the front, and the clasp in the back where the shoulder straps meet in the middle.

The flirty Yasum*Pretty-Set*Sky consists of the tank top, short shorts, pendant (hanging on the right hip), and makeup addons that you'll notice on the left side of the shorts. This way we can wear the shorts with or without the pendant or the makeup :) The shirt says "Makeup is my Therapy", and a quick glance at any social media will show that many people feel the same. The pendant is a clip similar to a keychain, with a tiny handbag and a pair of metal dice dangling from it, while the makeup includes a compact, brush, and lipstick tube. The metals HUD lets us change those and the clasps on the front of the shorts to your choice of 5 tones. 

It's very appropriate that the discounted color for the *Yasum*Isha-Set*Sun is the one that is named for exactly what the style makes me think of - sunshine! This is the type of cropped halter top and low slung pants that are a top notch option for exploring a tropical area :) In addition to the deep warm yellow hue, we've got a print of green, orange, and a paler yellow. The pants have a fun inset that swerves from each hip down to the front of the legs, sheer with intricate filigree type scrollwork. There is a HUD for the top that has 20 colors each for 4 sections, which include the strap and decor (shells, chain, etc.) attached to the strings down the back. The details on all of these fashions are consistently incredible!

We've got another delightful dollarbie in moss green, this time the *Yasum*Mio-Set*Moss. Its tiny top is practically the opposite of the generous billowy pants, which somehow makes them work together exceptionally well :) There are tiny metal clasps attaching the straps to the halter top, and we can choose from 6 metals for them with the enclosed HUD. 

My final look of the night is sure to turn heads, particularly when you turn around ;) The *Yasum*Nanu-Set*India consists of the dress in solid and sheer versions as well as the itty bitty panties. Both dresses are slit the entire length of their long skirts, and tie in the back very loosely to barely cover a bit of booty. They are embossed with a pattern that reminds me of damask at first glance, and I love the way the straps are each sliding gently down the shoulders. The bold orange color reminds me of pumpkins, but that could be the influence of the season. 

My day was okay, but I've got a slight headache now that I'll blame on the support group meeting. It was a weird rollercoaster of good and bad, and this mod insists on calling on individual people when they aren't ready to talk. I was one of them, lol, so yep I had to put aside my anxiety (the reason we're all there) to explain why I nodded in agreement with what someone else said.
