Posh Event Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the POSH Event, where they're having a Valentines hunt for their free group members. We're looking for heart shaped padlocks, which can be pink or red, then all we have to do is give them a click to receive a special treat :) Because of the theme, I would suggest getting there before the 14th, although I believe this round is open until the 17th. Either way, there's lots of terrific offerings for your shopping pleasure in addition to the fun hunt.

BlondeQueen has an impressive 6 prizes hidden for us to find in the event area, so let's start with two of them :) The #1 BQ::Loveline T_Shirt:: Red Love is the cutie on the left, while the right side shows #2 BQ::Loveline T_Shirt:: White Rose Heart. Each of these are provided in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and all six have different images on the front that are just right for Valentine's day. As for my pants here, those are a prize too! the Uni-qu3 *Ginevra pants*::Red are a light brick shade, very low cut in the front and actually pulled down (full moon LOL) with "Why Yes I am Sexy" written across the back. Turning around to show them would have hidden the front images of the shirts, in addition to a gratuitous butt shot, LOL, so I'm leaving that to your imaginations this time.

I randomly chose two more BlondeQueen prizes to share because I simply couldn't resist! These cozy tees are slightly shorter in the front and scooped for a rounded hem in the back, just as flattering as the tiny edging on the neck and cuffs. The #4 BQ::Loveline T_Shirt:: Yellow Pierce Heart is on the left, and #6 BQ::Loveline T_Shirt:: Pink Writing Heart is seen on the right above. Did the words in the pink shirt's heart make you sing? "I Will Always Love You" is a powerful classic ballad, thanks to the genius of Dolly Parton and (re)introduced to most of us by Whitney Houston. 

Instead of life handing me lemons, this hunt handed me a pair of flirty bikinis from the same generous designer, so I made lemonade this doubly fun photo :) DOLLZ LEOPARD LIPS Bikini Babe is the gorgeous swimsuit on the left, with a side view of DOLLZ Red Bikini Babe to the right. Because they are the same brand and style, they come in the same sizes - Erika, Kupra Bimbo, Lara X, Legacy, Muneca, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies. The leopard lips print reminds me of a reverse stamping technique for nail polish, where some stamping plates have the inverted option so in this case you'd do the leopard pattern beneath and then stamp the black over it. It's something I have seen videos about but never tried myself, no hand-eye coordination here ;)

I was so excited to find the ghost.Nelly Special Fatpack prize, as versatile as it is flirtatious :) Our top and skirt each fit Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and there is a HUD for each piece with 4 texture choices to choose from. The side panels of the skirt are sheer in all four prints, so I think a C-string (strapless crotch cover) would be a handy addition to provide a little modesty down below. You probably have tons, as I do, but if not I'd suggest a quick search on the marketplace.

For my final look of the evening, I tried on two of the 3 Fatal Fashion prizes, which are all stunning mesh nails. The FF Original - Stiletto Long Bento Nails - SL09 is on the left, with the SL04 version on the right. I'm giggling that it looks like I am nibbling on the point of a thumbnail, but they're just so long that the pose made me poke myself in the lip a tiny bit ;) These mesh nails are quite easy to wear; just use your body's HUD and add the corresponding size from the folder. They are designed for Belleza, Kalhene Erika, Kupra/Kups, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink mesh bodies. I am a fan of hearts no matter what time of year, so these are absolutely going to be making random appearances in my daily outfits :) The rainbow set feels like June to me for example.

I had a really nice evening chatting with my friend and her husband for our early gaming night, just relaxing and enjoying each others' company. We play two games together now, and I've got a fun tip for anyone playing Animal Crossing New Horizons...if you have people over (it might require 3 people total) and go to sit down in the coffee shop to have some coffee together, make sure whoever sits last has 0 bells on them. They can deposit it all before they visit. Then Brewster will ask them about their coffee and they should say they're paying for everyone, to which he'll reply that he'll give the coffee you can afford and water for the rest. That's right, broke customers get water, LOL!! If you have 200 bells, one person (the first to sit down in our case, which was me) gets the coffee and everyone else gets good ol' H2O. Let me tell ya, I am still cracking up over our thrifty beverage experience :) One of my old villagers randomly moved onto her island this week, and was quite enthusiastic to see me again. They'd told her they came from *my island name* so it was a good reason to visit hers this week. Tomorrow I'm going to a farmers market that is further away than I've been in a while, so I am taking the day off from blogging to really have time to prep and recover. Shopping and Hopping

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm back at the Valentine Shop & Hop, this time sharing free gifts found on the Delphinium region. That's one of 14 in this round that each hold 20 stores for a total of 280 incredible designers, so with that many you're bound to run into old favorites and find brand new to you stores to enjoy. That's part of why I adore these events so much, as we know that these are all top designers who are bringing their best for sale (discounts!!) and as gifts. Please don't let the Valentine name deter you if you're not a fan of the holiday, as the decor may be themed but not all of the offerings are strictly lovey-dovey or mushy. 

The *Atri Designs* Valentin dress gift felt like a fantastic way to start the evening, with that flirty one-shoulder style and gentle ruffles up top. There are sizes for Lara X and Legacy mesh bodies, with an alpha layer in case you need it :) The hot red can certainly be a nod to the holiday, but personally I think almost all of us look great in this hue all year long.

Next we have some Kisses from {Chaotic}, as that is the name of this adorable outfit. The cinched tube top and boy shorts are each provided in Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, and covered in lip prints for that freshly kissed look. I can't resist the bows with their long tails dangling down!

I feel like lingerie is one of those special things that you can wear to impress others, but also can select styles that help you feel more confident and alluring even if they are hidden beneath your outerwear. So the [Glitzz] Perla Lingerie - Cherry gift is a perfect choice for either way I just described wearing this type of clothing :) There are 2 system/BOM layers, corset and panty, so you can enjoy either individually or wear them together as shown. The detailing is exquisite, with lace and sheer sections and the pretty bows.

That lingerie also came in handy so I could show off the Ghee - Valentines S&H 26 GIFT layered atop it :) There is just something so fun about a skirt with suspenders, and this set has them playfully hanging from the waistband so they are draped over each hip. The skirt is short enough that keeping those panties on became a necessity, lol, but I'm also thinking of layering a bodysuit beneath. My final look of the evening is two of the three lovely versions included in our Les Sucreries de Fairy * Valentine Outfit gift. That's Blue on the left and Red to the right, with Pink being the third not shown :) I'm wearing the PBR versions because I use a compatible view (Firestorm) but there are non-PBR pieces included as well for each part. I'm getting a vibe somewhere between Lolita and Sailor Moon, LOL, and loving all the lace and bows that bring special touches to the outfits.

Whew, I looked at my tivo (DVR) earlier and saw that I hadn't watched any American Idol yet this season, so I decided to play one while I've been blogging...possible mistake since I forgot how the early audition rounds always have such heart wrenching stories that I wind up crying every time. It's a good thing I always keep tissues handy because of my allergies ;) Oddly I haven't caught that mouse yet in my office here, or really heard much, so I don't know what to think about that. I don't think they usually leave once they've gotten in and found warmth and fun things to chew on, but maybe it went to a different room or something.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we're taking a look at several group gifts for the TeleportHub.com group, which has a small $10L fee to join. This is to keep out scammers and encourage us to stay in the group, which I gladly do since it's such a helpful source of info and of course the gifts :) These are such generous and thoughtful gifts, and I'm really grateful to all of the participating designers who keep us looking chic even on a budget.

My first look whispers Valentines Day, or at least a few romantic kisses from the lips on both the top and skirt. The .:Bad Rabbit:. Sumry Teleport Hub GIFT includes the cropped turtleneck and slightly asymmetrical skirt, in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I love the pale pink with the darker colored images, complete with ♥ XOXO above the lips, and the fabric has a soft sheen that certainly caught my eye.

I also visited HORL and picked up their lovely Carolin Dress for the group. The high halter neckline and opening in front to show off the cleavage help to make this an outstanding addition to any "little black dress" collection :) There are Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes included.

Next I'm feeling so pretty in the ::Sweet Intoxication:: Suzanne Kimono - Cobalt gift! With a high collar, squared neckline, and frog eye clasps down the left side, it is a mix of traditional and modern Japanese styling. We receive sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Waifu mesh bodies, along with a HUD that lets us choose from 2 colors for the trim. I'm showing both the gold and the darker blue above, and still can't quite decide which one I prefer.

This gorgeous look is our :::FTCOR:::YEN_SET_BLACK::: FATPACK gift, just waiting to help you get ready from head to toe for a fun night out. For my final look tonight, I've slipped into the [LRS] Jolien Outfit which is one of a few gifts they offer for this group. The sweater and skirt each come in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, while the boots include maze sizes and traditional each for all the bodies mentioned above plus an Erika Squeeze version. Because of the pastel colors, the knit pattern on the sweater reminded me of candy hearts at first glance, so I'm really happy to have this as a subtle Valentine nod.

I'm having a rough evening because I'd been hearing mouse-type noises in this room for a few days off an on, honestly tried to ignore them but they are much more frequent and loud tonight. I also saw something small, dark, and moving really quickly out of the corner of my eye earlier, which would certainly fit their description :(  So there's a humane trap a few feet to my left, but it's been used and the housemate said it might be broken, so there's a chance they could get in and eat the peanut butter then scamper away. If I'm here when that happens, I will be screaming like a banshee, LOL! I think I'm allergic to the little pests too, as my allergy symptoms are off the charts for no other obvious reason and this isn't the first time we've heard/spotted them and I've had allergy issues. Sigh. At least my support group session went really well this evening (before the mouse stuff) so I was in a more pleasant mood for a while. Living near woods, especially in the winter, means that mice are a common visitor here unfortunately. Valentine Shop & Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to start exploring the Valentine Shop & Hop 2026, which I've been eagerly anticipating since the holiday one wrapped up. These amazing events are organized by the Lindens so you know these are top notch designers, all sorts of offerings like fashion, accessories, home decor, and more. There are 14 regions this round with 20 brands apiece, so that makes 280 stores with discounted offers and a free gift each :) You can start in any of the regions and walk your way through a continuous loop (okay, rectangle) so get those hiking boots ready! As they've been doing for several rounds now, the FabFree crew has assembled a very handy spreadsheet of gifts that you can sort by the tabs on the bottom left to view by store name, region, type, or even pictures. I'm so grateful for their hard work and persistence in keeping it updated and accurate. I always share these by region (it keeps me organized and lets me give you one main landmark to check out all 20 stores) so these are from the Chickory region.

My first look combines two gifts, the first of which made me curious and then amused. The *kata0nik* Valentine Halter includes the pink-red and black-red versions each in Legacy and Reborn sizes, and the heart on each contains some Japanese text. I don't speak or read Japanese so I let google translate it, said "kata to niku" which means shoulder to meat. Now that could be an expression or slang, but it was not what I was expecting ;) I used my camera to translate and the center character is a bit lost in my cleavage, so it just said "shoulder meat". I also really like these new pants, which are our gift Stories&Co. called Signature Waist Leggings - Azure. They are very flattering with that high waistband and slim fit, in sizing for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies.

This flirty gift is our Adore Amore - Gionna Dress Red Sequins. Isn't it a beauty? The sequined texture alone would be enough to make me happy, but then we add the style with spaghetti straps, slit skirt, and diagonal belt with large hoop closure, and it becomes an instant favorite. There are sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu  mesh bodies included.

Next I changed into the stunning neve gift - leeanne Valentines'26. The neckline frames our cleavage beautifully with soft ruffles, and the skirt is notched on the right thigh for an extra peek of skin. We receive Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh body sizes, as well as a HUD with 4 colors to choose from. The ones not shown are red and black, so very Valentine compatible without being in your face about it. I know not everyone is a fan of the holiday, but these colors are so classic that I'm sure you will enjoy regardless :)

SUGAR N' SPICE has a special treat for us too, their SNS CALIOPE JUMPER. This flirty outfit will fit Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, Squish, and Waifu mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 8 colors each for the main jumper, trim, lace, side bows, corner bows, and jumper bows, and the ability to adjust the opacity (4 levels) and turn materials on or off. I feel like this will particularly appeal to fans of details like bows, as I am, and it really looks like it could easily be worn as lingerie.

My final look of the evening is our Blackstone - Roxane Leather Set - Hot Pink gift, and it simply sizzling! The corset top and low cut shorts are each provided in sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The shorts are studded around the hem for a little golden gleam that matches the rivets of the top where it's laced up in the center. 

Wow, where did this weekend go already? I am feeling a bit chilly which isn't all that surprising when it is only 15 degrees out (F) but I will be putting the mini heater back on shortly. I tried food from a place I used to get delivery from many years ago (before delivery services) and found out the hard way that their marinara is too spicy, like at least 3 others in the area. I guess they're adding red pepper flakes or hot sauce, but I wish they'd just include a packet of the flakes/sauce for those who can handle the added zing. It's so common these days though, even in fast food, so I am struggling against popularity. I had a backup plan fortunately, so I am fine :) Somehow my family and I decided to do a cheesecake this coming weekend for my birthday dinner instead of traditional cake, which might be odd but we all love it which is all that matters. It's not like any of us are posting pics on social media, just a cozy little gathering with my nearest and dearest. Anyway that was ordered tonight, chocolate marble, from a baker we all admire, so that is something fun to look forward to. GothiCatz Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're visiting >>GothiCatz<< store, a wonderful brand I recall from my earliest days in SL. Their group is free to join, and they've got several terrific gifts waiting for us to enjoy. Some of them were gifts from previous events and I got a message when clicking them that I already had them and "one per person", but a quick search in my inventory for the store name brought them all to my attention immediately :) Even if you have a few, it is still so worth checking to ensure that you have all of them. Coincidentally, a few were from prior Shop & Hop rounds, which I mention because a new one just started so that means you all know exactly what Dawn is spending her SL time this weekend doing! First we've got some flirty gifts to see though...

First up, we have the retro >>GothiCatz<< Tiffany group gift. This sassy swimsuit has a halter bra top and a high waisted boy leg bottom, each in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The bottom's pattern is a circus and clowns theme which may not be to everyone's tastes, but they do have another version (I want to say the name was Catriona) with a different texture so you might choose that instead, if not 'in addition' :)

I had a nice dinner with my parents (gluten free baked ziti and veggies) and found out more details about his upcoming procedure for the a-fib. It's an ablation and they go in via catheter (not the urinary kind) to the heart. If he's the first scheduled of the day, he'll go home that evening, otherwise he'll probably stay overnight. It doesn't sound too bad, and has a good success rate, which is encouraging. It's on the 18th so less than 3 weeks away, and he is in good spirits about it. I have no idea what I'm doing this weekend since the farmers market is canceled again tomorrow, but I know what my SL plans will include :) My main priorities there are warm snuggles with Xan, and the Valentine Shop & Hop event exploration.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to Absence, where I initially thought I'd be sharing group gifts from. Upon closer inspection (also known as simply clicking, LOL) I realized that they are in fact totally free gifts with no group tag necessary. That's great news if you are perpetually short on group slots, which I think we can all identify with ;) These treats lean towards the alternative side, think Goth or grunge, the type of things that make you want to wear smoky eyeshadow and dark stiletto nails. I'm a very boring dresser in RL, so I deeply appreciate the chance to explore various fashion styles in SL without breaking the bank. 

My first look of the evening is the gorgeous .Absence. Nomi Dress, a free gift that fits Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers 3 metals and 11 colors each for our dress and straps, so there are many possible ways to wear this sweet treat. Look at that shine!

Normally I'd slip into my favorite jeans from the marketplace to help show off a top, but this - ABSENCE - Lola Corset seemed to call for something a little more flirty. That would be the white pair from our Lilbird Simple BOM panties 4 colors gift that is also found for free on the marketplace :) So lovely Lola here is a strapless long length corset with attached belt and bow in the front, in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD has 7 colors each for the corset, lace, bow, and ruffles, so we can get creative with this look too. Because of the HUD's black background, I almost missed the black button that is our 7th color...that's why this look is so pastel and dainty, lol, but I promise you can tint everything black too if you desire.

Those panties did come in handy here too, helping me share the - ABSENCE - Martha Top FATPACK gift. Even though today was my birthday, it was a relatively quiet day with a fun evening gaming with friends (via phone/internet). I had a great time, and as I get older I really do learn to appreciate my friends more and more. If you've ever played Animal Crossing New Horizons, you know that on your birthday as soon as you login one of your villagers kidnaps you to your party, LOL, so it's good to make sure you are dressed nicely the night before. I am looking forward to dinner at my parents' tomorrow, and that's about the extent of my plans for the next day or two. More Cremosas Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're back at Cremosas store, where we have an almost full calendar of gifts for January. These fashions are all a snowy white color, and each of the daily folders also has the older monthly treats inside as well so there is a bounty of generous goodies you can pick up for free :) They have two groups, and these are for the one that is free to join. I'd hurry if I were you, since they are probably taking these all down in a few days and starting over with February, when I do plan to share eventually too.

My first look is the Cremosas- JAN 10 gift, which looks like a single piece but is actually a top and skirt combo. Each piece is provided in Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, like the vast majority of these gifts and all of tonight's looks. The shredded look in the front is so playful, and the opening in the back almost looks like an upside down heart to me.

This tantalizing outfit is the Cremosas- JAN 13 gift. It layers a bodysuit and short skirt, each in Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. The bodysuit's right spaghetti strap is dangling beneath our arm, while the other holds things up just enough ;)

Speaking of bodysuits, the Cremosas- JAN 17 gift is another fantastically designed one that immediately caught my eye. My favorite details are either the bare shoulders or the attached waist chain that loops between the legs and attaches both front and back. This comes in their usual 4 sizes for these gifts, in that same frosty white that will go with any footwear and accessories you wish.

Next, the Cremosas- JAN 7 literally had me doing a double-take, can you see why? White on white detailing can be hard to see at first glance, but our top and skirt both have white hearts embossed on them in various spots :) I love the high neck and cleavage peekaboo opening too, daring with a touch of romance.

My final randomly selected look of the evening is our Cremosas- JAN 20 gift. This satin shirt and panty combo made me think of combining business with pleasure, as that sure does look like a dress shirt but worn in a flirty fashion. Slightly open in the front, it is designed to be very figure hugging and even rises up a bit on the left hip to show a flash of cheek. Sizzling!

I am a little bit frustrated for various reasons tonight, nothing for anyone else to worry about but I apologize if I didn't sound like my usual pleasant or cheery self. I'm trying to plan my outing for tomorrow and it isn't going smoothly, between the frigid temps and so many restaurants' insistence that all food must be spicy now and have hot pepper sauce added (glaring at you, Panera, and my former favorite soups with new recipes) or worse. My stomach has been uneasy the past several days already, so that surely wouldn't help. Stress doesn't help either, and our world is pretty much a gigantic source of that lately. So I'm just going to wrap this up with a wish for a peaceful day/evening and many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
