Time To Get Twisted

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to share some prizes from the Twisted Spring 2021 Hunt. This twice-annual hunt is in its 13th year, and the new round has a theme of Djinn with cube color of sandy orange. The theme is described as a Twisted take on genies, Arabian nights, and Persian cultures of old. Usually it runs through the entire month of March, but it started mid-month this time so it goes until April 15th this time. This means we have over 2 weeks remaining to find these very tricky cubes that slowly rotate and haunt our dreams ;) I strongly suggest reading their website if you are not familiar with the hunt, as it will educate you on what makes this hunt unique...things like no hunt hints on the website but they can be requested in the group, and there can be up to 13 decoys in addition to the actual cube with a free prize in it. I also recommend clicking the hunt easel when you see it at a stop, since it will give you information on the prize and any side hunts, gachas, special sales, and anything else you might need to know for their Twisted celebration. The hunt is a challenge, but quite a worthwhile one.

One of my favorite places to visit during the Twisted Hunt is Roped Passions, because their decoy cubes will treat you to some clever snarky comments in local chat when you click them and it always makes me chuckle. Two of the cubes have prizes though, one for men and the other for the ladies. (RP) Almira Enchanted Gold is the one I am enjoying above, a lush golden top and pants in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Signature, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The waistband is low and slung diagonally so it winds up being rather revealing from the rear view. I love the detailed trim, and the embossed pattern on the satiny material.

My next look is also one of two prizes, male and female, found at the same store in different cubes. The store is Better than Naked, and their prize Female includes the overcoat and pants in fitmesh M for classic avatars plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. The boots are for mid height feet of Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, and Tonic bodies with an unrigged version provided as well. The pattern on the coattails is similar to one on our hidden cubes, and the overcoat has the belts attached for ease of wear.

Applique` Chic made good use of the cube texture as well, on their AC: Twisted Salwar prize. It consists of the long tunic top and two pairs of pants, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The plain pants are the greyish solid color on the left, while the ones on the right are the brighter yellow but trimmed at waist and cuffs with the shirt's pattern. The slits on both sides of the top work really well with the loose fitting pants, which altogether provides a themed feeling.

Steel & Ink has two prizes in the same cube, called Barbara and Larry, and I bet you can guess which this is ;) Barbara's tube top and harem pants are rather sheer, each in 3 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars (S, M, L) plus Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The flat sandals are provided for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink feet. I really like the blue with the sandy yellow color that is prevalent in the hunt, since it reminds me of the ocean washing up on the beach.

My final look of the evening had just a touch of that golden hue, with lots of fiery red for a gorgeous combination. This is the [TR] Desert Dancer prize from Touryuumon, an outfit that really does make me feel like twirling and dancing :) The jumpsuit comes in Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, and Physique sizes, with the belt as a separate piece that has a resize script built in. The style is very flirty, despite the only bare skin revealed being the shoulders and upper chest area. So fun!

Spring Fling and Easter Fun

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Spring Fling at Malus Park again, so I can share yet another fantastic exclusive offer with all of you. This one is from [Ari-Pari] whose main store is located on Malus sim too, so while you are there you can always head on over and explore the shop :) Their website has a shopping guide that is very useful so you can see a catalog of the event's offerings. Then I would like to invite you to Tiar, where you can find small brightly colored eggs that give free gifts when clicked. There are 8 different eggs that spawn randomly for just 60 seconds at a time, in various places within the main store building, so I suggest you keep moving and look for the tiny eggs to appear on the ground. I found some upstairs and some downstairs, and duplicates happened since they are random, but eventually I got 7 of the 8 with the last one seeming to be a men's prize so I am fine without it. Please peek at their blog for full details. 

My first look is the [Ari-Pari] Coffee Love Pajamas, which you will only find at the Spring Fling event as they are an exclusive selection. The tank top and pajama pants are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, and there is a generous HUD with 12 choices for each. There are solid colors for the top and coffee cup patterned options for the pants, depending on if they are dark or light shades you will get either the white print (seen on the left) or the black with pink hearts and cute coffee sayings. All this is just $250L, which is far less than a cup of coffee when converted to your local RL currency ;) I really enjoy the ability to mix and match the colors too, and yes I do truly love coffee so this set speaks to me.

Tiar is helping us prepare our wardrobes for Easter and spring (no need to celebrate the holiday to enjoy the bright colors) with their egg hunt. One of their striking prizes is this Tiar easter fun jumpsuit yellow, a one piece zippered outfit in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. That is a really vibrant shade of yellow, isn't it? Lovely! 

If you have visited my blog before, you may know that I am a big fan of the color pink, so this Tiar easter fun romper pink is right up my alley. Find the right egg (#5 according to their blog, I couldn't recall) and you too can claim this in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The short romper is trimmed with golden yellow zippers, and the long belt's buckle matches perfectly. It has a shiny texture that makes me think latex or leather. 

My next look combines two prizes, one with a dress and the other accessories. The dress is called Tiar easter fun eggdress, and the strapless mini is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, and Slink Hourglass bodies. Tiar easter fun ear tail is a prize that is just as advertised, a pair of bunny ears with a mesh tail. The steely blue and pink of the ears are a cute combination, and the tail is a soft white shade that gives it a realistic feeling. Often when I see ears and tails like this in SL, they make me think of both Easter and Playboy bunnies at the same time, so these are not restricted to this particular season.

My final look of the evening is another Tiar prize called easter fun yellow dot dress. It has sweet ruffles and polka dots that give it that retro flavor, and the short hemline helps it feel flirty too. This prize includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. 

It was a decent day followed by a strange evening, not exactly bad but a bit confusing thanks to someone's odd behavior. Spring Fling and Fantasies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to show you another selection from the Spring Fling at Malus Park, which is bursting with seasonal beauty and exclusive offers :) There are even gifts for $25L or less at most of the displays, so you can save lots of lindens while refreshing your spring wardrobe and home decor. Then we head to a fun and free sim hunt, the Spring Fantasies Hunt at Wind Struck. There are many places to explore to find various colored striped eggs, which are set for sale for $0L and contain home and garden items, seasonal decorations, and some holiday clothing treats. Each outfit has a male version and a female version, or unisex in the case of some cute pajamas, and there are a couple of kids' sized prizes too. My best advice is to read the notecard you receive upon arriving, and look in each store or building you find as well as searching other areas of interest by following the pathways. Most of the clothing is geared towards standard avatars, but with BOM and the alpha layers provided they worked perfectly for my Maitreya body too. 

My first look is the exclusive offer from *Lurve* at Spring Fling, called Flirty Skirt Outfit in Snow. The lovely sweater and skirt can be worn separately as well as looking wonderful paired together, and they are provided in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. You can purchase this outfit for just $195L, only at the Spring Fling at Malus Park. 

Now over to the Spring Fantasies Hunt, this is the TFF Hippie Chick in Green and Purple from Tayren's Fashion Fantasies. Their mainstore is located on this beautiful sim, so it makes sense for them to provide our wearable goodies :) The dress and vest each come in standard mesh sizes as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. The full outfit also includes unrigged (adjustable) beaded sandals, beaded hair accessory, fringed leather bag, and love beads with peace sign. All of those have resize scripts built in, so you can get the best possible fit with very little effort. There is a male version of this outfit too, so you can coordinate for a party or just for fun!

Next I slipped into the exciting TFF Spring Toga in Blue - Female prize, which also has a matching male version in another hidden egg. The toga dress includes standard mesh sizes, and the gift also consists of the gold laurel hair wreath and unrigged sandals. We can click the wreath and sandals for resize scripts, and the sandals will fit most flat mesh fit by doing so. 

I also found a charming outfit called TFF Spring Date Outfit for Women, which I definitely intend to wear for more than just dates ;) It starts with the dress in a standard version as well as sizes for eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, then continues with unrigged pumps and a straw hat with flowers. The pumps and hat have resize scripts built in, and I love having shoes that perfectly match the pink and white stripes of the dress. 

For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying a few different prizes that go wonderfully together. The one piece pajamas are the TFF Easter Pajamas for Adults & Kids, which come in standard sizes. I am wearing the M with the alpha layer, and as you can see it works out very well. The ears, nose, and tail are all from the TFF Bunny Accessory Set prize, and each has a resize script that you can access just by clicking. My adorable slippers are the TFF Bunny Slippers for Adults & Kids, each provided in pink and blue colors for adults and kids. They can be adjusted too, so they should be able to work with your favorite mesh feet. I feel so coordinated and ready for Easter :)

Hair note of the night: Truth Hair released their newest style with an updated Essentials pack as one of the options, and I was impressed with the wide range of colors available so I chose to purchase that one. I do also love the style, short enough not to hide the back of clothing I want to show off, and with flirty loose curls that gave me such Marilyn Monroe vibes that I chose a golden blonde shade today. The essentials pack is $500L compared to the $300L of the others, but with so many additional choices it is more like a mini fatpack. Since I have taken to changing from my traditional ginger shades lately, it makes the most sense for me to have a HUD with more possibilities. The stylist tab of the HUD lets you flip which side the hair is parted, and change the braided side to loose and gently pulled behind the ear. As always, you should demo any hair before buying of course. The good news is that Truth even mentioned possibly adding colors to the essentials pack in the future depending on feedback, so please let him know if there is a shade you really want to see in there.

It was a long but mostly good weekend, and I am ready for whatever the new week and new month bring :) The only downside will be the dentist visit on Thursday, because who wants to have people poking around with sharp instruments in their mouth on April Fool's Day? LOL! Don't worry, I trust the people at the office I go to very much and will be blissfully unaware of anything because of nitrous anyway.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for variety again, so I started by exploring the Spring Fling at Malus Park. This first annual event is open until the 15th of April and features exclusive offers of fashion and home decor. There are also gifts for $25L or less in brightly colored gift boxes at each display, so be sure to check those out too while you visit :) We are encouraged to explore the entire area, as there are additional sights to discover in the beautiful region. Then I realized that there had been several notices recently about new FabFree group gifts, so that felt like a great way to prepare for the weekend. The group is free to join, and many generous designers provide group gifts for its members to enjoy. 

My first look is a delightfully casual outfit from MadCatCreations called Boho Laced Top and Pants w HUD. You can find this at the Spring Fling event for $199L, along with several other great offers. The top and jeans are each included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh bodies. It did not feel like a Friday because of my changed schedule, but it was a decent day regardless :) The weather is feeling much more like spring, and the groundhog who lives in my backyard was out and about again earlier so that makes me happy. Tomorrow is the farmers market I visit every Saturday, then a trip to see the German baker who is moving away soon, not back to Germany but to another state because his wife had to move there for her job. Early Weekend Celebration

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a fun mixture for you, starting with some Wash Cart Sale finds from their final round. The theme is Make Your Soul Bloom, and all selections are $50L or less until the 7th of April when things wrap up. I also get to show you a terrific Saturday Sale offer that is already available at Entice and will be for several days, because saving money should be enjoyable :) There are even some treasure hunt prizes from the Easter in Wonderland Shopping and Treasure Hunt event. We are looking for small easter baskets to click which have 3 eggs and a ribbon on them, and they distribute prizes for free when touched. The finds at this cart sale and recent hunts have really made me a fan of yellow lately, which I never was before so I am impressed! No matter what your favorite colors are, there are enough options here that I think you will be pleased too.

This look features something from the Wash cart sale and something from Entice, can you guess which is which? The tattoo is by Leave Your Mark, and that is one of several striking choices at their cart at The Wash for $50L each. It is called LYM - 3 - Hope is an Anchor - ACS OSC, and includes system/BOM layers and an Omega applier. The artwork covers both arms, the neck, and above and below the breasts, not to mention that amazing back piece! I had been trying to decide what to wear to show off the tattoo as well as possible, and then the Saturday Sale offer from Entice was released so it just seemed like fate :) This is their Satin Doll v2 - Blue, one of 3 colors especially for the Saturday Sale at $75L apiece. Lots of great ways to make your upcoming weekend extra seductive! The Saturday Sale items will be at these low prices until April 1st, and that is not an April Fool's joke, I promise. 

Our next stop is the Easter Wonderland event for that fun treasure hunt, where I found this hilarious [RnR] Swag Jelly Bean Outfit (Easter). The top reads "Ever wonder where jelly beans come from?" above an image of two bunnies, well, having some fun ;) The top and shorts each come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with bunny sneakers in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink flat versions. Even the bunny I am holding is included, with a built in hold pose as shown. I can't get over how adorable the sneakers are, and just might wear them with other outfits too.

The basket for Freya's Fashions is set up a little differently, as we need to pay $1L but it is immediately refunded while our hunt prize is delivered to us. It is their Julia (Carrots Cream) lingerie, whose bra and panties are each provided as system/BOM layers and Omega appliers, to wear together or individually. The touches of lace are a flattering contrast to the playful carrot pattern that certainly calls Easter and spring to mind.

I kept Freya's panties on for the last look of the evening, so I could show you another treasure hunt goodie called Loki - Banana Bunny Tee - Yellow - Maitreya. It has a bunny holding a banana on the upper left as a whimsical logo, and I really like the soft yellow complemented by the white trim at neck and both sleeves. You can pair this with just about anything you wish, jeans or leggings or a skirt, to make the look your own. 

I feel so confused today, with the dinner plans I usually have on Friday being moved to Thursday and trying to get plans organized for the next couple of days. Did all of you manage to get the $1L Catwa head from the marketplace? That was quite an adventure this morning, being inworld just after midnight SL time and seeing several groups chatting about marketplace struggling with that kind of volume. I was able to purchase it but it hadn't been delivered yet when I logged out, so I will see when I login in an hour or two. I am really stuck in a rut with this Genus head and how much I like it, so even heads I got for free around the holidays are still lingering in my inventory without being worn. Whispers of Spring

First we visit the Sweet Serenity Designs cart, where there are several beautiful dresses for the Maitreya body for just $50L apiece. On the left above I am wearing their SSD MY SWEET PAPILLION GOWN LILAC, a stunning strapless gown with shadowy swirls and a long mermaid shape. It is the same style (front and back) as the SSD MY EBONY & WHITE PAPIE GOWN you see on the right, so yes it has an intricate butterfly design on the back. Savoha Creations has plenty of affordable offers for us, including home decor, accessories like hair and makeup, and clothing for classic or mesh avatars. The two outfits above are both from their $10L special called mix & match pack 1. It contains 4 tops and 4 pairs of pants, all in system/BOM layers. On the left is the blue dream top and blue fun jeans, with the pink halter top and fancy jeans pink to the right. Just like the name says, we can pair these however we wish and create several different looks for one low price. The mainstore of Savoha is on the Wash sim too, so they are right at home literally here at the cart sale.

Over to the Kiyomizu Hunt, I am especially fond of this prize for a few reasons...one being I have pictures of my mom in a dress in this exact style from the 60s but plain white with blue ribbons and I believe blue ruffles down the front :) Another is that it has so many adorable animals on it! This is the .: MC :. SleeveRibbonAnimalDress from Magiclo, and it includes sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

Next we celebrate spring with the .*.Jury PoP.*. prize called Haruno Tunic Wanpi - Purple. The texture looks like terrycloth, a soft and touchable fabric, and did you notice the slit pocket? Love it! There is one on each side, and the rabbit on the moon in front is a cutie. 

For my final look of the evening, I selected a nail polish hunt prize since our fingertips deserve some love too ♥. This is the [::]colon colon SakuraNail-KiyomizuHunt2021spring, and the gift includes appliers for Altamura, Belleza, Kupra, and Maitreya mesh hands. As you can see, there are multiple similar designs among the nails, with more sakura or cherry blossoms appearing on the index and middle fingers. I really like the teal background for the pink of the flowers, and there is a satin finish rather than a high gloss which accentuates the artwork. 

I can't tell if this week is going slowly or quickly, since at different points today it has seemed like both. My arm is almost completely better from the injection discomfort, and I don't have a particularly high pain tolerance so this isn't just being brave or anything. I am going to my parents' for dinner tomorrow instead of Friday because my dad has a radiation treatment Friday evening, apparently there have been scheduling issues and I do not mind adjusting our plans especially for something so important. We lost his father almost 30 years ago to the same type of cancer (prostate that spread) so extra caution is wise. He is 8 years younger now than his dad was when he passed away, and much healthier in general with a lifestyle geared towards staying that way. Make Your Soul Bloom

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going to take a look at a few more wonderful offers from The Wash Cart Sale and its Make Your Soul Bloom final round. The sale features items for $50L or less with some exclusives, for affordable ways to brighten the look of your avatar or living space this season. We have until the 7th of April to complete all our purchases, so be sure to try out demos and enjoy browsing before then :) I am also sharing some more Kiyomizu Spring 2021 Hunt prizes, which are all free and can be claimed by finding and clicking ninja cats at the Kiyomizu Mall or in the mainstores of certain designers who also have stores there. Our first stop is the Emerald Couture cart at The Wash, with so many great choices that I just picked two randomly to show you. The dress and shoes on the left is their EC May Outfit Peacock, and I really like the deep colors and puffed sleeves. The dress comes in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body versions. On the right I am enjoying the EC Boe Boho Dress Pink Jungle, which puts a spin on the usual green shades you would generally see in a tropical pattern. Another cart I have always enjoyed visiting each round is that of ..::battle fairy::.. whose mainstore is located right here on The Wash sim. This time they are offering several gorgeous varieties of their Doutzen Dress, like the Lily on the left above and Orchid on the right. Each is just $25L and includes sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with two pairs (black and white) of stockings in system/BOM layers. The dresses are dramatically styled with a long sleeve contrasting a bare shoulder, and side slits all the way up to the waist. So sexy!

Over to the Kiyomizu Hunt, you will be happy to see that there are two generous gifts to be found in separate cats at Amikko. This is Amikko Gift A / Spring knitted top & jumper, both of which are crafted for the Maitreya mesh body. I do enjoy a layered look like this, and the floral pattern brings it into spring nicely. If you prefer, you can wear the jumper without the top beneath, or maybe you have a different shirt you would like to try it with? I am a firm believer in making looks your own, whatever it takes to do that. 

This classic beauty is the Amikko Gift B / Spring knitted top and skirt, two individual pieces that fit the Maitreya body very nicely. The soft mauve color is flattered by the contrasting black waistband, and the floaty skirt gives things a retro feel. The top is very similar (maybe identical) to the top from the prior gift, which shows just how versatile these pieces are. 

My final look of the evening is the prize from MeltingDots Freebie Store called Spring Bralet & Shorts. Its two components are each included in a fitmesh M for classic avatars, as well as sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 5 colors of the dotted floral pattern you see, plus 2 metals and some other buttons you'll want to experiment with. One made the ruffle on the bralet sheer (as seen on the right above) and the < arrows > adjust the proportions of the texture. I made it smaller on the right, for more petite polka dots and daisies. 

We are almost to the midpoint of the week, and I am doing pretty well...my arm is much less sore from the injection, just a bit of lingering ache from certain movements that I expect to go away completely soon enough. It is getting warmer out which is refreshing, and I hope to see the groundhog that lives in my backyard again soon :) Eventually there will probably be babies too, and I love watching those little cuties exploring their world and learning how to forage. The Wash and Kiyomizu

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we start at The Wash Cart Sale for its Let Your Soul Bloom themed round, sadly their last ever round of this long running event. Make sure you don't miss out, as there are so many impressive offers for $50L or less including some exclusives that you will not find elsewhere. Clothing for men and women, accessories, and home decor are among the possibilities you can find, and there are demos for much of the fashion so you can ensure a suitable fit for your shape. Another seasonal happening that always makes me smile is the Kiyomizu Hunt, which is open for its Spring 2021 round of finding ninja cats hiding in stores either in the Kiyomizu Mall or at the renters' mainstores. The best way to find out for sure is to click a floating ghost above one of the mall walkways, so he can produce a personalized website link for you to check out with all the landmarks for remaining kitties. The scripting for this one is rather ingenious, since the signs keep track of the cats in its immediate area and display the quantity and the store's number in the hunt path. The prizes are free, but there are no hints so it can be a bit challenging...I got oddly lucky that when I first visited the other day, most of the furnishings were not rezzing but the cats were so I was able to see them clearly. Usually when objects decide not to rez it creates problems for me, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Next we head over to the Baci cart, well actually their new store is called the Oh! Shop and is located on The Wash sim just like the prior one. The outfit I am wearing on the left is their baci-top frills peach- that includes the top and skirt in Maitreya sizes (Petite also for the top) with an 80 color HUD for the skirt. It is such a feminine look, and versatile thanks to the tinting HUD. Did I mention that it is a mere $20L? Or you could choose one of several versions of the baci-last dress, like the green one on the right above, for $10L apiece. These are also crafted for the Maitreya body, and have a simple loose fitting t-shirt style that brings out the colors and images used. 

My first reaction to trying on this free Kiyomizu hunt prize from Shiorin's Mart was WOW! This daring delight is their =CS= One-Piece Swimwear018 KIYOMIZU, and comes in sizes for Legacy and Maitreya bodies. Just find the ninja cat in their store and give him a click, to claim this sexy swimsuit for free. 

Another charming hunt prize can be found at Dream Flower Radio, their *DFS*M spring Gift Dress. It consists of the dress and cape for the Maitreya mesh body, and since they are separate pieces you can wear the dress with or without the sheer lace covering the shoulders. The colors and floral pattern are excellent choices for spring, and the shawl has a vintage flavor that I adore.

My final treat of the evening is the M*Motion C21 KYMZ Spring Gift. Its off-shoulder blouse and jersey maxi skirt each fit the Maitreya body, which does seem to be a popular occurrence among these hunt prizes :) Don't both pieces look so soft and touchable? I think about how comfy some outfits are in RL and uncomfortable others can be, and feel like my avi would really enjoy wearing this one. 

Whew, I am a bit slow tonight...my first vaccine appointment was fine, it took place in a government building so I had to go through a metal detector and wait in line 4 different times before actually getting the jab. Time consuming, but worth it if we can keep people from getting so sick. My arm is sore which I expected, but otherwise I am mostly okay. Feeling a bit warm, with a mildly sore throat and headache that could be from seasonal allergies and not concerning.
