Hiya everyone! Tonight I am delighted to tell you about the Valentine's Shop and Hop event, where you will find over 80 designers in 4 romantically designed sims who are all offering discounted merchandise along with free gifts. Tonight I will be showing you some gifts found on the Gleaming sim, as I personally just find it simpler to sort them by sim and show you one at a time so you know exactly which landmark to follow. I am mostly focused on fashion, but there was a sweet companion that caught my eye too :) The event just opened yesterday and runs until the 23rd of February.
My first look is the [Aleutia] Eileen Dress (Maitreya) Special Valentine's Edition, a sweet mini with fluttery skirt and pretty hearts adorning it. As the name implies, it is sized for the Maitreya body, and will look nice with your favorite shoes, perhaps white or pink?
Next we have a beautiful gift from Gabrielle Hamelin, their {GH} Spring Bliss Sequins Gift. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass, with a HUD to adjust colors for the materials. The HUD gave me an error message when I added it, but I saw mentioned in many groups (and on plurk, etc.) that SL was being weird with scripts this morning so I would guess that was the reason. I didn't necessarily need the HUD since I like the way this looks just as it is :)
Does the romance of the upcoming holiday make you feel a little bit sassy? If so, this gift from Faida should be perfect for you :) It is called It's Not Me, and comes in a Maitreya mesh body size in a soft pink shade. The front reads "It's NOT ME it's you" with the NOT ME across a darker pink ribbon, and there are a few small hearts on the design too. The cropped style with short sleeves add to the sass too, while the pastel color keeps it from being overly edgy.
United Colors has a pretty dress for us, their UC_Cupid_dress_red. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with a handy HUD to make this extra sexy. You can choose from 7 colors for the top and bottom sections in the middle (the main dress stays that pretty red) with options to make them sheer and to turn materials off or on. You can even hide those triangles in the middle, top or bottom or rear (the back is designed like the front with a wedge shaped panel) and turn the collar on or off. That is a lot of variety!!
For my final look of the evening, I added a friendly little companion, the gift from KittyCatS! called I LOVE YOU! Angel 2020. It flies around chasing the pink heart that says I love you, and one flank reads "I love you" as you can see above while the other has a heart and arrow on it. There are plenty of great details to appreciate here, and I think you will enjoy seeing him/her in person when you claim this thoughtful gift.
It was a pretty good day here, with a nice visit to my parents' for dinner where we looked through some old pictures and had some laughs. It was a stroll down memory lane for sure :) I have a busy Saturday planned as usual, and I am looking forward to it since I'll get to see some awesome people and pick up tasty treats. Dore Papillon Boutique has a flirty gift for us too, their DPB Lip Service - Pink dress. The halter style mini is accented in black, with a pattern of mouths with their tongues out that reminded me of the Rolling Stones logo. It includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.
This gift is on the sheer side, if you look very closely you might notice ;) It is the LMagnums Candy Babydoll - Pink 1, a lacy strapless dress (nightie?) in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. I love the delicate pattern, and the flowing skirt style.
Another flirtatious gift is the one from Grumble, their TGL February-Bae Tank & Panties. They are each sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies, and have a really fun pattern that is cute for Valentines Day. The panties are definitely more of a thong style from behind, and tied high up on each hip with long bows.
I left the Grumble panties on to provide a bottom to this hilarious top from ZFG, their Gacha Life group gift called Wild Child Body Count. In case you cannot quite make it out, the front reads "It's been a rough week...But I didn't need bail money and I don't have a body count, so it could have been worse." So funny, and I have certainly had weeks like that. I have at least one person in my life who seems to like to push all my buttons, and would guess that most of us know someone like that.

Tonight we have more Raindrops on Roses Hunt prizes to see, since there were too many for just one post :) The prizes are just $1L each if you search for the hidden ones, or you can purchase the prize for $25L from the rose (hunt object) near the sign. No matter which you choose, these prizes are worth way more than what we are paying for them, and there is a wonderfully romantic theme to most of them.
The Sissy Bar hid their rose with a mascot of the sim they are located on, and it contains their (TSB) Criss Cross Lace Up Shirt and Skirt. Each piece is provided in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body versions. I am a fan of details, like the pearls in a heart shape on the ribbed top holding a trio of roses, and the X laces on the skirt above tiny slits at each thigh.
My next visit was Atlantis Design, where I found this playful Candy Heart dress inside their red rose. It comes in a standard classic size, as well as versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. On its soft pink background, you will see multicolored heart balloons and rows of gems that look like raindrops, and it is wrapped up in a big bow thanks to the bright pink belt.
Artic Storm has a daring outfit waiting in their hidden rose, the *AS* Isabetta Red Hearts. The dress and matching pantyliner (like a thong with no strings) are each provided in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The matching thigh high boots come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. This is one of those looks that works great for Valentines Day without being limited to it :)
I feel like we all deserve to treat ourselves to some romantic lingerie from time to time, even if we the only one who sees it, just as a reminder that we are beautiful :) For just $1L you can find the hidden rose at Applique` Chic (or $25L for the one at the sign without having to hunt) and claim their AC: Rosey Lingerie RORH in two colors. The pink and red nighties with built in panties (see the strap in the laced opening on the right) each come in a Maitreya mesh body size, and have similar floral outlines with tiny polka dotted backgrounds. I love the bow in the back, too, another special touch.
My final look of the evening comes from Witch Cafe, a store that is new to me but I was glad to notice they are taking part in a few hunts this month. The prize is their Juliette Dress - Roses, which is for the Maitreya mesh body and has a bold floral pattern. The retro style looks great with the roses and the deep green background color, and I am excited to share more looks from this store in the future.
It is a rainy evening here, and the rain is going to continue for the next couple of days so my area is under a flood warning. Some roads get worse than others, so most locals tend to learn the best ways to get around the worse areas, and my backyard has a drainage system that the township put in way before I moved here. Hiya everyone! Tonight we explore the Raindrops on Roses Hunt, a romantic $1L gridwide hunt that has us looking in each participating store for a red rose. It is just the bloom part of the rose, no leaves or stems, and the stores' hunt signs have a sample to click for a hint as well as another for $25L so you can purchase without hunting if you prefer. I realize not everyone is as fond of hunting as I am, so I am always glad when a hunt has that opportunity for all of you to decide. The landmarks are all on the website, and most prizes have preview images there, so it is a good idea to have the site open and available for your hunting.
My first look comes from the rose hidden at Texture Me True, which holds their TMT Tentative Valentine Red dress. It includes Maitreya and Hourglass sizes, and just look at that styling...revealing neckline surrounded by ruffles, and that sheer skirt reminds me of either a nightgown or a figure skating costume :) I really like the deep crimson shade too, it adds to the romance.
AdelleArts is offering a generous outfit simply named RoR Hunt Prize inside their rose. It starts with the dress, in standard mesh sizes plus versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. There are matching sandals in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink Mid height versions, and a matching beaded necklace with built in resize script. I was particularly drawn to the high-low hemline of the dress, such a fun feature!
Next we claim not just one but two playful bodysuits from Georg Bellic Designs. The ~GBD~ Raindrops on Roses Nina Body Suit comes in versions labeled D3 and D8 (left and right above, respectively) each of which are included in standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body fits. They both have roses in their texture, but the different color schemes give them each a different feel.
Another ravishing red look can be found at Mystic & Tabby's Fashion. My final look of the evening is a closeup view of the prize from Go Frock Yourself. Their ~GFY~ Gone Wild Nail Appliers have 10 different patterns to choose from, in various shades of pink and white. Tonight I decided to take you to just one store that has gifts for several different groups, in contrast to last night's "one group, many stores" approach :) The store I selected is called Nala Design, and they have two buildings for the ladies along with a mens section and even a Gacha resale store across the street. When you land and are looking at the stores, the ladies' are the two to the left. As for the groups whose gifts I will be featuring here, 4 of them are free to join and one has a $10L fee to join, that being TeleportHub.com which I have shared info about here previously too.
My first look of the evening is the gift for the SLFO group (SL Frees & Offers) called ND*Marella Medieval Dress*. This long gown has shredded cap sleeves, a cinched waist, and slits in front that create a narrow panel. It comes in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. There is also a HUD provided with 6 color options, so you can change this to suit your mood.
Next we take a look at the Nala Design - Natisa Shoulder Knitted Sweater Dress, which is their Fitmesh Fanatics group gift. The knit texture looks great in all of the colors, and the back is more of a smooth tight-knit fabric for us to enjoy.

They are a mix of solids and patterns, and I was immediately drawn to the dragons like on the left. It was a decent day here, with a fun evening of watching my favorite hockey team win :) My week ahead looks to be fairly quiet, so I am looking forward to relaxing and getting a few things done that I was putting off because of the busy holidays. Hiya everyone! I was in a group gift mood today, and one of my favorite multi-store sources of group gifts happens to be FabFree, short for Fabulously Free in SL. Their group (free to join, of course) is the inworld representation of the FabFree blog, a truly remarkable source of information about goings-on in SL. They keep us informed about events, hunts, gifts, and special sales, while many of their participating designers have gifts for their group members like the ones I am sharing tonight. Their group is among the first I joined in 2007 as a new resident, and one I have never even considered leaving :) They will always have a place in my group slots, and in my heart.
First I visited MOoH! and claimed their flirty Evelyn Dress gift for FabFree. It comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions, with a 6 color HUD to change the center panels of the dress. The black sides and laces are ready to coordinate with any of the color options, including black to make it a solid colored outfit.
{Poeme} is offering their lovely Blue Snowflake Crop Sweater free to all FabFree members. It includes a fitmesh size for classic avatars, plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. The knit texture really caught my eye, and it looks great with the blue jeans from Delizio and their marketplace freebie (a frequent addition to my blog posts) which come in several colors as system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

Special note of the night: if you wear a Maitreya body and have not heard yet, there is an update to the body so you will want to get a redelivery. There is a sign to click at the mainstore, and their official group has a HUD in the group notices I believe to let you redeliver from wherever you are. I am not in the group, just passing along that info second-hand. There is some information about the update on their website, and I saw something about an update to 5.0.1 already with some fixes so you might want to redeliver again if you did already. I'll be doing that when I login, and probably joining the group to get that delivery HUD.
This weekend sure did go by quickly, didn't it? Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit some more stores who are taking part in the Sin City 3 Hunt, to claim prizes from the $1L female path. The website will guide you through the male and female $1L paths as well as the $25L path, so be sure to follow the hints to make sure you pick up the correct prize. All are hidden inside black drawstring bags, and the prizes are generally themed for Sin City a.k.a. Las Vegas and its many attractions.
First we take a look at the ladies' prize from NUTS Inc called Brooke Dress. The unpacker HUD is so handy, as all you need to do is click the logo of the option you need to deliver: classic, Belleza, eBody, Maitreya, Slink, TMP, or Tonic. It sends you a folder with just the corresponding size(s) and a color HUD with 4 pretty choices, two of which you can see above. The straps in the back are creatively crafted, and they along with the front section are speckled with sequins for added visual interest.
My next look can be found at The Sissy Bar, their (TSB) DLS Sin City 3 Hunt - Ladies Sleep Shirt. There are other prizes hiding there, so be sure to follow the hint, to which I will add that figuring out the hint may make you say "oh, gacha" ;) The sleep shirt comes in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The pretty color and heart pattern will help you slumber in style.
I also found the prize at EVOLVE INDUSTRIES, a jazzy dress called In Da Club. It is provided in 3 classic sizes (S, M, L) plus Slink and Maitreya versions, all with crossed straps in the back and a sequined texture trimmed in embroidered flowers. It made me think of all the exciting places we could wear this besides a club, and that just reminds me of how we can do just about anything in SL :)
It probably isn't truly Sin City if we don't take a walk on the wild side, right? Well I think this prize from *Lurve* is a spectacular way to do so. It is their Off The Shoulder Mini 'n Tattoo - Coal, and has several separate components. The dress with sheer lacy top/sleeves and solid short skirt is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing. The tattoos you see are included as system/BOM layers plus appliers for Lola, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, so it is compatible with classic or mesh avatars. Even the black pearl necklace shown is included, and it has a resize script built in so you can just click it if you need to adjust it. I actually did not do anything to try to censor this image, so the almost visible nipples are exactly how the dress was designed. It would be very easy to wear some pasties beneath if you felt so inclined :)
My final look of the night is another daring dress, this time from the ladies path leading us to La Perla. Their gift is the Dayane Set, which starts with the delicate lace dress in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing. The heels come in versions for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, and TMP feet, and there is a HUD to color both: 20 choices for the dress, 12 for the shoes. You can have a lot of fun mixing and matching the shoes to the dress, although in both of the above looks I went for the match. There are neutrals among the options, which is always helpful.
I think I was out and about for twice as long as I'd expected this morning and early afternoon, so I am one tired magpie tonight.
