Twisted Tuesday
Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is filled with prizes from the Fall 2017 Twisted Hunt, a deliciously tricky gridwide hunt that will have you searching for spinning cubes in a burgundy wine color. The theme is Victorian Gothic, and many of the prizes have the cube color reflected in their design, and most prizes are either unisex or include something for the guys and something for the ladies. There is a lot of stunning decor in this round, furniture and even a few skyboxes that would be a perfect place for many of the furnishings you can find. Tonight I'm focusing on fashion as I generally do, and since it will be the wee hours of Tuesday morning when I finish and post, I am also showing you some Hello Tuesday poses from Verocity.
Mishmash Fusion is one of the stores I personally associate with the Twisted Hunt in my mind, knowing that their designer has created some terrific prizes in the past and always provides a clever side hunt to keep us even more entertained. This round, their main prize for the ladies is this beautiful ~*MF*~ Rem's Song Outfit which includes the corset and skirt each in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. There is a very handsome suit for the men, and there are treats like gachas, a side hunt, and a box of freebies at the hunt sign.
I mentioned that box of freebies for a very good reason, and you happen to be looking at it :) This is one of the three treats for anyone who visits this month during the hunt, #42 Bikini, in reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (for which reason the store is stop #42 again along the hunt path). The top and bottom are each provided in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, and they are richly textured in this round's wine color with a 42 on the bikini top. The other gifts are matching swim trunks for the men and a pool float for all of us.
Also at Mishmash Fusion, there are 3 Midnight Mania (midnight madness?) boards that have exclusive gowns for the duration of the hunt, so just for the month of September. Two of the rewards can be seen here, as soon as 50 people have clicked each board it will distribute its treasure to all clickers. On the left is the Colorless Sky Gown in Pale Skull, while on the right is the Colorless Sky Gown in Rose Skull. There is a black skull version as well, so be sure to click all 3 boards! Each dress is included in a standard size plus Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and Venus versions. My poses here are from the Verocity - Harper Pose Set, Harper 3 and Harper 3M which is the mirror version. That is one of the things that draws me to Verocity poses so much, the versatility offered by the mirror poses.
This may or may not have been my RL reaction to finding all the decoy hint cubes at Mishmash Fusion ;) Raise the roof! In addition to the main cube, there are 10 clickable cubes that give you notecards each with a part of a sentence on it. Combine them (they are numbered so getting them in the correct order is easy) and talk to the Koi Dragon statue, and if you tell him the sentence accurately he will reward you with this gorgeous gown called Colorless Sky Gown - Diamond. It comes in the same sizes as the gowns in the prior photo, and there is a mens' prize as well, so be sure your favorite gent (or male alt) talks to the koi dragon too. My fun pose is another from the Verocity Harper Pose Set, this one is Harper 4M, and you will find it for just $25L at Hello Tuesday when the clock strikes midnight in SL. There are 6 poses plus their mirrors so 12 total, a fantastic bargain as usual at Hello Tuesday.
Another store who clearly enjoys the Twisted Hunt is Moonlitecat Creations, and I do have a small confession...this is the 18th round of this hunt and this is only the third time I've ever found their cube! Honestly it has eluded me more times than I care to think about, especially when I know what terrific prizes always wait inside. This round, the prize is this stunning MLCC Gothic Queen Gown THF17 Burgundy Wine, and just look at the elegant gathered skirts and the peek of lace down the front. There are numerous sizes included, too: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, Ocacin, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. Add a little sparkle with your favorite necklace or earrings, and a simple pair of shoes, and you are ready for a ballroom or wherever you wish to look glamorous.
It was an interesting day for me, reflecting on the anniversary of a terrible tragedy was balanced by good news from my childhood friend in Florida (she and her family are safe but without power, which is to be expected) and from a high school friend who celebrated one month since his lifesaving kidney transplant. Bittersweet day, but I am choosing to try to focus on positives and look towards the future. Gentle magpie hugs to everyone!!
