Summer Nights Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring a hunt that I just found out about by random chance, visiting a participating store for a different reason and spotting the sign at the landing zone :) It is called the Summer Nights Hunt by Ephemera Events, and we are looking for dark palm trees that appeared either blue, purple, or black to me depending on the lighting. The website guides us with landmarks and hints, although I need to mention that it seems several stores have moved since the hunt began because I did a lot of searching to find the new locations. The ones I am providing for the prizes I'm sharing tonight are the current ones to the best of my knowledge. There are free $0L prizes at every location, with most offering others up to $15L apiece and some have several additional prizes for us to enjoy. As someone who has seen the movie Grease way too many times, I find myself humming it's Summer Nights song as I type, and while I was hunting. The hunt is open until the 14th of August, so we have about 2 weeks to enjoy these summer nights :)

For my first look, I visited +Blue Blood+ and found their free palm tree containing the beautiful Delusion Special Edition dress. It comes in a standard size for classic avatars, as well as versions to fit Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. The loose style looks great in the mix of bold and dark colors, and I especially like the little lace trim by the trio of buttons on the bodice.

Next we see the London Girl::Sally Romper which is the free prize at the hunt's starting location. It includes blue and pink versions each in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I did not see the blue Maitreya size however, so I am wearing the blue Legacy on the left which fit my shape pretty well :) I think the fact that the style is not skintight helped. Both colors are sheer and trimmed in lace for a flirtatious appearance.

Black Swan has a free prize for all of the BOM (Bakes on Mesh) fans like myself, their Simone - lace catsuit. It can be worn on classic avatars as well as BOM compatible mesh bodies, in a single tattoo layer that consists of the sheer cap sleeved top with flowers and the polka dotted tights. It is an intricate design whose texturing really caught my eye!

There are several $15L prizes at MadCatCreations, plus a free one each for men and women. This beauty is the free MCC - woman - Geo Summer Dress single, which is a formfitting mini with both straps draped over the same left shoulder. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, and Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The vibrant colors will help make your summer night or any time of year bright and flirty.

For my final look this evening I chose two of the free gifts to share, starting with the Toxic Tshirt from g-spot on the left. It includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, all in black with green trim and a matching toxic (radiation?) symbol that has begun to drip. For a lighter take that puts me in mind of the 60's event from my previous post, be sure to find the free prize at Petite Mort. It holds their Moon Child Tee, a cropped short sleeve ombre that says "Stay Wild Moon Child" with crossed arrows and a dreamcatcher. The 60s Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to invite you to The 60's Event at Wonderland Beach, where there is a treasure hunt with some trivia. There are gifts hiding in brightly colored gift boxes throughout the shopping area, mostly neon green with either hot pink or blue ribbon. Most distribute a gift as soon as you click them, while some will ask you a 60's trivia question that you have 60 seconds to answer. If you get it wrong, you can always click again and give another answer :) The event area is beautifully decorated as always, and I really do enjoy the theme era from a fashion and artistic standpoint like music and movies. 

My first look is the treasure hunt prize from M called Dress - Tam White #3/2. This flirty strapless mini has bold slits on each hip and a plunging neckline. The floral embroidery is lovely too :) This gift includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.

The Vale has two charming prizes inside their gift box, so I am showing them off side by side. On the left is their Lilac Boho Shorts and Top with the Mint version on the right, both of which include Maitreya sizes for both parts. The tops have gorgeous sheer sleeves with full cuffs, and those bared shoulders are a sexy detail. The short shorts have front and rear pockets with delicate embroidery on the rear ones. 

Next I paired the mint shorts from The Vale with another great prize, the .{SA}. Casey Halter Top Summer Heat from Starlight Apparel. It is provided in sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya. Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The tropical foliage makes this a dreamy choice for the season!

The other shorts from The Vale (lilac) paired well with The Bold Llama Co. PLANTING PEACE Tee prize, although you can wear them with anything that makes you happy of course :) The comfy tank top has a delightful floral peace symbol on it, and comes in standard mesh sizes as well as versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. 

My final look this evening is a closer view of the .::LUNA::. Body Art - MIX I - Nails treasure hunt prize. There are appliers included for Belleza and Maitreya nails, each of which offers 6 designs that symbolize the event's theme wonderfully. I merged two images here to show you two of those six, a tie dyed heart pattern and a bright pink flower on a vivid blue background. The "flower child" era is right at home on my nails :)

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to share some more group gifts and lucky board prizes from DM Design. They all need the free DM group tag to claim, and there are plenty of ladies' clothing treats that can be yours with a few clicks and in the case of lucky board prizes, a little luck and patience. I really like their style, and am grateful for all the chances to save money with these free goodies. 

My first look is a group gift called DM Design Afrodita Tights-1, and it make my hippie heart happy! The one piece outfit comes in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with a 10 texture HUD so you can change the look easily. There are so many fun details, like the deep neckline leading to the front zipper, and the flared cuffs beneath loosely laced sides.

I love the simple elegance of the DM ~ Alma Gown Gift and its sleek satiny texture. The draped back shows off just enough skin, and would be perfect to frame a tattoo or a necklace that hangs in the back. There is also a HUD with 12 color options for each, so you can mix and match if you prefer. The skirt hem is daringly diagonal to be extra high on the left, and as you can see from the rear view it provides a rather cheeky view ;) I enjoy the way the top has a metallic sheen, to contrast the denim texture of the skirt beautifully.

My final look this evening is another lucky board prize, the DM Design Baby Dress 6. It was a quiet day that led to a frustrating evening, and I am a bit embarrassed that I let someone's behavior provoke me into snapping at them pretty badly. I think I got tired of not being able to reason with them, and their refusal to understand that things they do affect others very negatively. I really shouldn't have shouted and gotten so angry though, not productive or good for my health.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting DM Design, whose group is free to join and lets you claim several fantastic group gifts. I randomly chose some of each to show you in this post, because I do enjoy variety :)

It was a much calmer day than yesterday here, and my infected toe is feeling slightly better already so that is a relief. I have a foot spa that I'm using to soak my toe (well, putting both feet in there) that does vibrations and heat, so it is a good excuse to pamper myself in the name of healing ;) It has jets too for bubbles but I am always afraid of somehow making a mess with that so I haven't been using that feature.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood to feel fabulous, courtesy of the many participating designers of FabFree in SL. Their inworld group is free to join, and entitles you to a bevy of wonderful group gifts. I also greatly appreciate being kept up to date on so many sales, events, and special offers as the group and blog have done for my entire time in SL. I have always been a very grateful fan :) Their listing of gifts seems to be constantly growing, with clothing and accessories for men and women as well as some home decor and other special treats. 

My first visit was to GeMyles, where I happily claimed their Natalea Dress & Heels gift by right clicking the sign, paying $1L, and was immediately refunded while the gift was delivered. This versatile look includes the dress in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with coordinated heels in Belleza, TMP, Maitreya, and Slink High sizing. There is also a HUD provided with 32 solid colors to choose from (tints the entire dress plus shoes all at once) along with 3 patterns each for two sections of the dress, bodice and top ruffle. As always, I suggest having some fun clicking various buttons and seeing what look you create, then adjusting to your tastes.

It was an adventurous day, but not in a good way. One of my toenails decided to dig in deeper after being trimmed I guess, and this morning I realized it was painful, red, and swollen. The podiatrist's office got me in within less than a hour of calling, and the doctor confirmed it is infected which meant more cutting and two antibiotics (oral and topical). Ugh. I will also be soaking my foot daily until my follow-up visit next week. It was just so sudden, felt fine this time last night, so it was quite a shock. At least I don't have a fever to go with the infection, and we certainly caught it early. Oh well, it could have been far worse and I am following all the instructions to make sure it heals well. Looking Chic with COCO

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am pleased to show you some of the generous group gifts found at *COCO* Designs. I really appreciate being able to choose which way to wear, with or without, since the choker adds something but there are times you may have a special necklace you already want to wear. It is helpful for those who wear collars with sentimental meaning also. 

If you want to get dressed up this weekend, I would love to suggest picking up this very pretty *COCO*_Gift_FeatherHemDress. Another weekend, another change in plans...this time it was another postponed dinner at my parents'. I'm fine and they are too, it was just a case of bad timing. As of right now I am still going to the farmers market in the morning, then doing a bunch of boring household things for the rest of the weekend. I will try to watch more Marvel movies too, since I am still way behind :) As far as SL goes, I just might try out a different mesh head since I have been in a Genus rut for ages even after picking up free group gift heads from other brands. Tweaking a shape to get things just the way I prefer can be so tedious, no wonder I'd put it off! But the results can be worth it for variety's sake. More 13Event Goodies

Hiya everyone! Tonight is a part two of the 13Event group gifts, since there were just too many for only one post :) It is free to join the 13Event group, and there are over 40 gifts to claim so it is very much worth a visit. Plus it is a great excuse to do some shopping! This is a relatively new event and is only their second round so far, but I am definitely impressed with what I've seen. The array of designers is remarkable, and I look forward to future rounds too.

First we see the FurtaCor*Candy Dress gift, which is as versatile as it is lovely. The dress is provided in 5 classic and 5 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, plus versions for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. There is also a HUD that lets you choose from 30 textures (mixture of solids and patterns) for the main dress, 30 for the skirt alone, and 3 for the lace layer under the skirt. Clicking a main dress button will change the entire thing at once, then if you want the skirt to be different you would click that next. The lacy under-layer goes last.

Ruxy is offering a trio of pert dresses as their 13Event gift, called Diana Red. There is just one size that seems to be for the Maitreya body, at least it fit mine perfectly. There is a solid red, red flower (left above), and red plaid (right) that all have a halter style and are short enough to double as a long shirt if you wish. You can see from behind that the back right hip is hiked up fairly high, so I will probably layer some shorts or jeans beneath for non-adult locations.

Next we have the Charazad gift of "Touch my Soul" Fatpack which includes the dress in two versions and the thigh high boots. The solid and transparent dresses are each provided in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Signature Alice, Star, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizes. You will also find the peeptoe boots in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The fatpack part is courtesy of a handy HUD, which offers an amazing 144 colors that you activate by clicking the button for which piece you are tinting and then click the little color button you desire. The dress is quite sexy in solid with those crisscross straps, then the transparent version ramps that up even more!

I also claimed the ladies gift from MadCatCreations (they have two displays next to each other, male and female items, each with its own gift) called MCC - Boho Fairy Complete. The top, sheer skirt, and solid skirt are each packed separately in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Each folder also has an 8 texture HUD so you can change the look to suit your personal tastes. I am wearing the sheer skirt on the left above, and it has shorts built in so it is still appropriate to wear wherever you wish. 

My final look of the evening is the alluring .:Beyond:. Samay - Black bikini. It includes the top and thong each in solid and patterned versions, all in sizes for Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The wraparound top is revealingly low cut, and the pattern is beautiful crescent moons with stars. This is such a great gift for these steamy summer months!

13Event Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to invite you to the 13Event, where you will find a fantastic selection of sales offers and free group gifts. It probably will not surprise you that I am focusing on those group gifts tonight, which you can claim by joining their free group and clicking all the gift boxes at each display. There are over 40 participating designers, so there is much to see and appreciate. 

My first look this evening is the S-Pearly dress from Suna Design, which is a flirty style with front and back both created of straps linked by narrow bands in solid colors to match the floral print of the skirt. The dress comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, with a 6 color HUD so you can change the look easily. 

Next I slipped into the FF Original - Dress Alexia SKULL IV which is the group gift from Fatal Fashion. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Tonic Curvy mesh bodies, with a playful pattern of skeletons dancing about. That could give it a slight Halloween flavor, but it does not look out of place any time of year if you enjoy the Goth vibe.

[ LsR ] is offering their Sexy Treshi Sport Dress as the event's group gift, for which I am very grateful :) This long tank style dress has pinstripes down each side to match the color of the trim outlining the neckline and arm holes, and speaking of colors there is a HUD with 8 combinations of hues. They all say QUEEN on the front with the number 69 on the back. The dress comes in Freya, Isis, and Maitreya mesh body sizes.

The gift from BlackLace is their provocative VIVI DRESS BY BL, with a daringly asymmetrical hemline that rides high on the left thigh and an intricate sheer bodice. It is provided in sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minimizer mesh bodies. This is clearly not your basic little black dress :)

My final look of the evening is a flirty one, starting with the :::WATERMELON:::Helix Outfit  group gift. It comes in system/BOM layers and can be worn by classic avatars or BOM-compatible mesh bodies, and has solid teal sections on a translucent dark material. I also added the SPT-Beach gift from Spirit Tattoo, which is also a system/BOM layer so it was very easy to wear with the outfit. I included a closer view so you could catch the details of the surfboard in front of the waves and sun. I really like the upper ribcage placement, probably quite painful in RL but we get to enjoy the magic of SL with pain-free body art.

My day went pretty smoothly, with the podiatrist appointment being slightly less painful than I'd feared. Apparently going there consistently is training my toenails to grow correctly or at least somewhat straighter, so they are easier to deal with. Escape The Ordinary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we get to Escape The Ordinary with the hunt of the same name :) It is a $0L - $2L hunt where the prizes are hidden in gift boxes that resemble beige cardboard with a touch of pink blush to them, tied with twine. You will find an example on most of the store's signs, clickable for a hint. I really enjoyed being a part of the blogging team for this hunt, and am grateful to every single designer for bringing a touch of the uncommon to SL. 

First up we have the flirty ~*SD*~ HF183F [ETO2] prize from Starshine Design. Find their gift box for just $2L and you can claim this daring dress in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. The front reads "I'm a good girl with bad habits" and I can certainly relate ;) The hemline is a bit longer in the back, which by the way is solid without any cutouts like the front. I love the bright teal color!

This fascinating look is the [Ari-Pari] Shazia Dress, which you can claim for just $1L by finding their gift box. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with a HUD that offers 5 colors for the main dress and 5 matching colored patterns for the trim. I feel like a celebrity in this, one who is heading to a fancy event like the Met Gala. 

+BlueBlood+ has two gifts waiting for us to find, starting with the Edge Special Edition t-shirt dress above. This free prize includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies, in terrific colors and playful texturing. It gives me cyberpunk vibes, anyone else?

The $1L hunt prize at +BlueBlood+ is called Darkness Corset Special Edition, and is provided in the same sizes as the other prize: Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. It has a wash of purple to pink to teal down the front, and the buckles down the back are quite eye-catching. This is the kind of top that works with anything from a full skirt to your favorite pants, or just panties if you are in a more intimate setting.

My final look shows you two of the three birds from the Beehead Studios prize called V A P O R B Nightlight. The pet version is on my shoulder, the Chonk size is to the right (my avi's left), and the Smol (small) version is not shown but is closer to the pet in size. Each of these lights can be turned on or off by clicking, for a delightful glow that reaches up to 10 meters. The one on my shoulder is off, while the chonk cutie is on and providing considerable light :) Have I mentioned lately how much I love birds? So there is no surprise that I am tickled pink by this prize.

It was a calm day at home, which I was going to refer to as quiet but it was literally loud since there is still work being done outside that involves wood chippers among other noisy equipment. Tomorrow I have a podiatrist appointment for my frequent ingrown toenails, all that digging is not fun but it is necessary so I will grit my teeth and take calming breaths.
