Advent Season
Hiya again everyone! If you're surprised to see another post from me so soon after last night's, my title might clue you in as to why this special edition :) Because there are so many Advent calendars that opened when the month of December began, I wanted to squeeze in a post of some of the goodies I have been able to claim from these generous calendars. Now I'm usually posting around 2 hours before midnight SL time, so that is just not sufficient to show you that day's treats with enough time to obtain them for yourselves. So a morning post should give you time if you read it promptly, and if you miss out on any of these gifts from reading belatedly, please remember that the season has just started and there will be tons more gifts for you to enjoy. There are calendar listings on FabFree and TeleportHub among other sources, so you can peruse those and see what stores you might wish to visit. I have a lot going on the rest of the week that will prevent me from spending an extra 2+ hours in the mornings prepping a blog post, so I am glad I realized I could do this today :) All of my gifts today either need a free group tag or no specific group tag at all, so these will not cost you a cent/linden. I would also like to say that if you do not celebrate Christmas, that doesn't mean you will have to feel left out of these gift extravaganzas...some stores may lean towards all seasonal gifts, while others mix things up, and some are completely free from Christmas items. Heck, I claimed a swimsuit from somewhere earlier (not shown) and you'll see plenty of colors other than red and green mixed together.
**Sexy Princess** has a style of calendar you will see quite often, a large board with a grid of numbers to represent the day of the month. Some are in order left to right, while others are scrambled so you have to seek the right date. This one does not need a group tag, and the gift for the 3rd of December is this pretty Angeles Pink Dress. It has a satiny texture and is trimmed in black to keep it from being overly sweet, and that plunging neckline is a flirty touch. The gift includes a standard fitted version for classic avatars as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. When you land, head towards the other side of the store and you will see it near the group gifts.
Mishmash Fusion also has a calendar board with no group tag necessary, and their current gift is the ~*MF*~ Something True Gown Funky Trees. This strapless and full skirted gown has a forest of decorated trees as its skirt pattern, with a solid black sweetheart top. It includes a standard size for classic avatars, along with mesh body sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique.
I blogged some group gifts and lucky board prizes from Le Fashion Whore a few days ago, so I was delighted to see that they are providing an Advent calendar this month too :) You will need the free group tag active to claim these, and there is a cabinet with 24 little square drawers beneath the Group Gifts sign in lights not too far from where you land. Just right click today's drawer and pay $1L, you will be automatically refunded and given a fantastic gift like this Betty Vintage Dress [BUTTERFLY ADVENT] if you get there before midnight tonight. I feel like we could amp up the retro vibe with a pearl choker and a pair of gloves, but it will look beautiful no matter how you decide to accessorize.
Donni's Dollies is offering a daily gift for men and one for women, so bring your favorite male avatars along for the fun too! You will land near a tree with boxes beneath, but the gifts of the day are generally towards the front so the first ones you see. Hovertext will tell you which is which, and just give it a click then pick "deliver" from the blue menu that pops up. Today's ladies gift is the DD Correy Cherries 6, an outfit with a cropped racerback tank top and playfully short shorts. Each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, and Hourglass sizes, and I must say the textures really caught my eye as being realistic and so appealing.
My final look of this post is a real head turner from LYBRA which is simply named Advent Gift 3. It is a flattering style with the tight top and flared skirt, and I love how the black top is trimmed in red plaid while the skirt is the reverse. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Alice mesh bodies. You do not need a group tag to claim this one, just find the large black star in the middle of the floor that has various sections with numbers on each...the current day is set for $0L for you to pick up for free.
Whew, for my last post I'd already been at this computer for a few hours before publishing it, and then I was here for all the time in between posts. I spend a startling amount of time staring at this screen to be honest, it's embarrassing. Oh well, I will not be blogging tonight so you can consider this a special early edition of my usual Tuesday night post ;) I will be back with a brand new post on Wednesday evening, which will most likely be hunt prizes from one of the December hunts. As a blogger for Entice, I get their Advent gifts early, so will probably slip in previews of those a couple of hours before they are "live" in the tree, and will try to do a few more random morning Advent posts throughout the month.
