Tree Treats from Cosmopolitan

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more of the Cosmopolitan event's Advent tree gifts, all available for free with their group tag (free to join) active, until the round closes on the 7th of January. Just click each glass ball or bauble on their tree near the front entrance, and as I mentioned last night it helped me to derender the tree and then do the same to each bauble after I clicked it to keep track of which I'd claimed and see all of them easily. Please keep in mind that there are dozens of gifts and this is just a sampling, so you will find plenty of exciting gifts of all sorts like home decor, accessories, and more. Much gratitude to each and every designer participating in Cosmopolitan and offering a gift for this extra round so we all have more time to claim them :)

My first look of the evening is an elegant gift from Hilly Haalan called [hh] Evany Dress. The single long sleeve is contrasted by a slender strap that crosses over to join it on the left side, and a wrap style skirt that shows flashes of thigh. There are Erika, Freya, Isis, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes included, as well as a HUD with a whopping 50 colors to choose from! Such a thoughtful gift, not to mention versatile :)

Next I wrapped myself in the Cherry Up! Twiggy Mini Dress @Cherry. gift, and who can blame me? :) The style is fun for this time of year since that bold red will pop against a wintry background, yet it shows off our long legs and a hint of cleavage. The gift includes sizes for eBody Reborn, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. 

Seniha is offering their alluring Kandy Dress // Fatpack as the gift on the tree, and it is quite the fatpack indeed! The dress, sleeves, and string (panties) each fit Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, and the HUDs are what makes it a fatpack. The dress and sleeve HUDs each have 30 solids, 30 stripes, and 15 prints to choose from for the main dress/sleeves and the trim, and the string HUD offers 30 solid colors. This means lots of mixing and matching, and since the sleeves are a separate piece we can easily wear the dress without them if we prefer. How will you wear it first?

My next look is the unique Foxton Berlin Outfit - Fullpack gift, with the appearance of a sheer blouse, tank top, belt, and partial pleated skirt wrapped around shorts, but all combined in to one fun piece. It is provided in eBody, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya sizes, with a HUD that offers 10 colors each for the shirt, skirt, belt, top, and shorts. This means we get to do lots of mixing and matching, and the bright hues among our options made me think of the neon trends of the early 80s that I may have indulged in as a young girl :) There is writing on the right side of the blouse, but these old eyes couldn't quite read it...I did a lot of layering of blouses over tank tops in the 80s too so that might be contributing to my nostalgia even if this is a very modern take. 

It's almost New Year's Eve, do you have your outfit picked out yet? It is so weird to realize that this is my last post of the year, and I always find myself pondering what I would like to see for the fresh start of each new year. We all need more peace and health I think, as many of us had really rough years since 2020 or so. That is my wish for all of you, a year filled with whatever you needed more of in 2022 whether that is love, friendship, peace, luck, improved health for you and your loved ones, financial stability...all of you deserve the best that life has to offer. Cosmopolitan Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the current round of the Cosmopolitan event, where they thoughtfully keep their Advent gifts available for group members that were released one day at a time during the previous round. Their rounds are just 2 weeks long, so I really do appreciate the bonus time to get and share these treats! With your free Cosmopolitan group tag active, you just need to click each glass ball or bauble on the tree near their front doors, and I find it easiest to derender the tree (right click it then choose derender then temporary) and I even derender each of the gifts immediately after claiming them to keep track of which ones I have clicked. If you want them to be visible again, just teleport away and return, as long as you chose temporary they will reappear :) Some of the gifts are specifically seasonal, while others can be enjoyed year round, so it is a terrific mix and I am grateful to every single designer who has a gift for us. Be sure to visit by the 7th of January when this round closes.

My first look of the evening is the very sexy RAPTURE Dress Sophia gift. I admit, at first I thought that right side was a pattern but those are actually tons of tiny cutouts! I zoomed in and realized yes, that is my nipple peeking through LOL, and if you look at my navel you can see that slightly too. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies included, and the fabric is reacting to the ambient lighting in my home so I would say it is materials enabled. 

Are you still feeling festive? I sure am while wearing our Limited Addiction - Festive gift! It says "Festive AF" on the front of the cowl neck sweater, etched in gold on the black background that goes so nicely with the red striped sleeves. Both sweater and panties will fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The panties aren't as thong-like as I expected from the front view, offering much more coverage than the strappy front. 

Another wonderful gift is the Avril Dress Red from .Safira., a long sleeved bodycon mini in two versions, with and without dots. They are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a HUD offering 7 colors for the pearls on the sleeves and 20 for the built in panties, plus the ability to turn the pearls or the panties off. The dots on the version I'm wearing on the right above are subtle, and the coloring on the pearls is more noticeable close up in person, yet I think the dress photographed beautifully :) Red is such a classic color too, a surefire way to turn heads in a sea of little black dresses.

I paired up two gifts here for a doubly appealing look, so let's start from the top! That would be the FashionNatic - Christmas Top gift, a tank top with straps that tie atop each shoulder with a bold bow, in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Nerido, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy bodies. The red and blue snowflakes almost look like flowers at first glance, don't they? Maybe it's just me ;) The fantastic pants are from eXxEsS and called Leather Pants No. 2 brown. Their unpacker HUD allows you to choose just the size you wish to deliver from CinnChai, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, or Petite. Each one comes with a HUD to choose from 3 metals for the zippers on the sides both top and bottom, and we can turn materials on/off with the HUD as well. I have to say, these are *chef's kiss* impressively textured and fit like a glove, so flattering!

For my final look tonight, I left on my new favorite leather pants from eXxEsS and slipped into the [FLIRT] Melek top gift. Now I have double leather but each with their own terrific texturing, feeling rather badass and loving it ♥. There are sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies provided, along with a 16 color HUD so you can change your look as often as you wish. The high waisted style of the pants works really nicely with the brief top, just like the scoop waistline flattering the peaks and valleys of the top's design. 

It was a quiet day but a hectic evening thanks to a west coast hockey game that is still going on after midnight my time. I get to see the player we shouldn't have traded, as an opponent which is painful but reassuring since he is doing well after beating cancer. On Christmas eve one of my cousins was dumbfounded that I still watch even though the team is doing so poorly, and I just chuckled. I will be blogging more of the Cosmo Advent gifts tomorrow evening, then I'm taking Saturday night off...the farmers market we usually go to is oddly closed this weekend, so we are going to a different one that is indoors and features Amish foods among other treats. Shop and Hop Aurelian

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is another visit to the Holiday Shop & Hop event, this time exploring gifts found on the Aurelian region. There are 16 total regions to visit, and just a few days remaining to do so :) I promise they are worth the teleport, with lots of designers (20 per region) offering sales items and gifts for us to enjoy. Every time a Shop & Hop event is organized, it makes me a very happy magpie since I can find bargains and gifts for any mood to decorate my home and freshen up my wardrobe. My inventory is groaning from all the additions this month!

First I slipped into the Ashbourne & Burleigh Winter Flakes Hers Jumper, whose unpacker HUD has buttons for His, Hers, Dinkies, or all sizes. I unpacked the ladies' sizes, which include standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Physique, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. The blue and white knit print is lovely, and the darker blue trim really brings it out nicely :) I am wearing the white pair of jeans from the Delizio marketplace freebie that I turn to quite often for blogging, a fatpack of hues in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

Another generous gift can be found at the Gabrielle Hamelin display, their stunning {GH} Sequin Ruched Dress. It fits eBody Reborn, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 2 sparkly textures which are both shown above. The single shoulder is tied with what reminds me of tinsel, and the material is designed to reflect the lighting wherever you are so this is a real attention-grabber!

Our gift from Arcane Spellcaster will certainly turn heads too, thanks to its animation. Their festive Dress Shry Christmas BENTO gift is a strapless mini with seasonal decorations on its pattern, in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is also a HUD included to turn the animation on or off, and that would be the back of the skirt flipping up as though caught in a swift breeze. It is really unique and something you will need to see in person to fully appreciate, so I say go and get yourself this fun free gift and enjoy :)

The very generous AlaFolie has 5 different gifts for us, and I am delighted to show off two of them side by side in this look. On the left is their MarieNoelle Gift, a sweater and skirt that each come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, Prima Petite, and Prima Busty body sizing. The prints are great for this time of year, aren't they? Now if you are craving a visit to a tropical locale in SL, you might want to wear the AlaFolie BETY gift when you do. More Shop and Hop Treasures

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several more Holiday Shop & Hop gifts to share, this time all found on the Chickory region. That is one of 16 regions packed with generous designers who are all offering discounted merchandise this round, as well as a gift for those of us who visit their displays. The regions are all decorated beautifully too, so wandering around during this last week of the event is a visual treat in addition to providing fantastic shopping and gift opportunities. 

My first look is the *CK* xmas set shop and hop from Candy Kitten, a versatile 3 piece outfit. The top, pants, and skirt are each included in eBody, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. The sleeves are part of the top but have a detached appearance, and it says "For the LOVE of the Christmas" on the front with the O being replaced by a gnome. I really like the white front pockets on the pants, and the chain looped from the built in belt. The skirt has a belt built in too, and a panty layer for modesty since this skirt is short. Those cat head shaped buttons down its side are adorable too!

The big day of Christmas has passed, but the season doesn't have to end that exact moment of course. However I decided to show the Santa Gown from Salt & Pepper in a less traditional color scheme for said holiday, simply to prove that it doesn't have to be restricted to a single calendar date :) There are Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes provided on the unpacker HUD (only open the one you need if you wish) and a color HUD with 8 dress hues and 5 for our fur trim. It was defaulted to a red dress with white fur, so definitely festive, but I went with a berry satin and black fur. 

TO.KISKI is offering their lovely Rihanna Mini Dress [Emerald] as a gift for all, and I am so grateful! The flirty halter dress has gold chains for part of the straps that meet up at the nape of the neck, and a terrific shade of green with sparkly texturing. The gift includes Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. 

For a warm seasonal look, be sure to stop by the MIDNA display to claim their Cozy Dress - WHITE *GIFT* for your own. There are Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite sizes included, in a wintry white shade that really shows off the knit texture beautifully. Now I just need to find a pair of boots (surely there are dozens hiding in my inventory) and perhaps some sparkly earrings for a touch of glitz, and I'm ready to brave the SL elements :)

For my final look of the night, I changed into the [LA] XmasSpirit Dress gift from Limited Addiction. The scalloped edges are sharp enough to resemble holly leaves, both on the flared sleeves and the short skirt, and the color combo is most certainly festive :) This gift consists of sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. I feel rather elflike in this, so perhaps I just need a Santa type hat and something with bells to feel extra jolly. 

It was a pretty good day here, warmer outside (but not what I'd call actually warm, just less frigid) and no traumatic dreams so I'm feeling positive :) The next couple of days should be calm, so I can catch up on rest and a few household things that I need to do.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we return to the wonderful Holiday Shop & Hop, 16 regions filled with talented designers offering discounted selections and gifts for all visitors. Tonight's looks are all found on the Lavendar region, so you can explore them one at a time and pick up all your favorite treats. Some even have gift cards so you can visit their stores and pick out your own goodies, while the ones I'm sharing have created something special as a reward for visiting their display. There is about a week left since the event ends on January 2nd.

First we have the -PULSE- Ursula Dress GIFT, with a playful skeleton on the front trimmed in multicolored lights and wearing a Santa hat. The dress fits Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 4 metal choices for the chains on our left shoulder. The neckline is a clever one, with that shoulder-baring opening one one side and a collar that looks like a choker. 

Now this dress makes me think of New Years Eve parties with that glamorous gold texture! Hunting at Havoc

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we get to wreak some Havoc, but in the nicest way :) There are two hunts taking place this month at the Havoc store, both free for members of their free group. There is the Secret Santa hunt with large white snowflakes to find and a hunt key available on the sign near the landing area, and the Winter Wonderland in which we are looking for black gift boxes with black bows on them. I decided to focus on that one tonight since there is no hunt key and therefore I wanted to try on and see all the prizes. There are 31 gift boxes with prizes in them, and I found a few called Lump of Coal that actually contained just a large lump of, you guessed it, coal. I think of them as decoys, but the hovertext told me what to expect so I wasn't shocked or disappointed. We get to explore both floors of the store building, and the area surrounding it with special sales items and even a place to relax and have a seat near the water. Look up, look down, look on light poles...a nice array of hiding places for lots of awesome clothing and accessories!

My first look of the evening is their Havoc. Nola Set. Angel prize, with a familiar and lovely artwork print on the fabric. The teeny tube top and leggings are each provided in Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. The top is tied loosely in the front, and the sides of the leggings have openings at the hip that go really well with the top's styling. 

There are several top or bra and thong pairings among these sexy prizes, like this striking Havoc. Venus Set. Army. The tied top and matching thong each come in Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn body sizes, in such a flattering style to show off cleavage delightfully.

Next I slipped into the sporty yet sexy Havoc. Nadia Set. Red prize. There are Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes each for the top and sheer thong bodysuit, with a 10 color HUD for the bodysuit. The front says "aliens" while the back has the number 69 on it, beneath the word aliens again. I love the lightning bolts on the collarbone area both front and back, and the way the top is tied just beneath the bust. 

The only prize from this hunt that I felt was specifically holiday themed (unlike the snowflakes' prizes which are nearly all Christmas) is the Havoc. MrsClaus Set. White, and that is mostly because of the name. The fur trim on the bra helps too of course :) We receive the bra, thong, and both black and white versions of the choker you see above, all sized to fit Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. Each piece has belt buckles in shiny silver, looking sharp against the black leather. 

My final look of the night is the Havoc. Allure Dress. Cranberry prize, whose color and style both made me smile. It comes in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, with slender strings that cross in the front before looping around the neck. Even the bodice is held in place with crossed strands in another fun detail.

All of my RL holiday celebrations are now complete and have formed special memories, so I am pretty much going to spend the rest of the week recovering from them ;) Christmas Eve at my grandma's was really nice, and I was glad that everyone made it safely to share food and good conversations. I learn so much from my cousin's wife who is from Morocco, as she has lived in multiple countries and speaks several languages so she is bright as well as a sweet, friendly person. My hands still have a faint whiff of onions from making pizzas tonight for dinner, and I have some leftover for dinner tomorrow too. I don't really do anything for New Year's Eve or Day, so this past weekend was really my busiest time. Wintry Mix

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a few Merry Christmas Hunt prizes to show you, then an exclusive offer from the Winter Wonderland event. So you can see where the wintry mix of my title comes from :) The hunt prizes are just $1L each and found inside candy canes that are decorated with a little bow around their middle, and there are hints and all the landmarks on the hunt's website. Then we head to the Winter Wonderland event at Malus Park, where you can find lots of exclusive offers and most of the designers have a gift box out with an item for $25L or less. Both of these are excellent ways to find a warm and cozy outfit or perhaps some seasonal decor for your living space, all at nice prices. I'm also wearing the newest group gift for the Truth VIP group, an instant favorite new hairstyle as usual for them :)

My first look this evening is the hunt prize from The Sissy Bar simply named (TSB) Merry Christmas Hunt. The roll neck sweater dress comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. Our matching boots are unrigged and there is an alpha layer for them so you can hide your feet and adjust the boots themselves to get a nice fit. The poinsettia pattern of the dress is so pretty, and the shades of green add to the seasonal flavor nicely.

Next we head to The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co., whose candy cane holds the adorable CHRISTMAS TWINKLE Tee. I especially love this style of unicorn artwork with the horn, ears, and lovely lashes, and even bought a mask online a couple years back because it was available in fabric with this type of unicorn on it :) I hadn't seen a holiday version like this though, with snowflakes and the red and green spiraling up the horn to match the ears. The prize contains standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine fits. I'm wearing it with the black pair from the Delizio marketplace freebie you will see here on my blog fairly often, a fatpack of various colors in system/BOM layers and appliers for Omega and Maitreya. 

I seem to have been labeled "Naughty"...surely that's a mistake...I demand a recount...can I appeal to Santa? ;) Truth be told, I do have my moments though! This is the Grumble-Oversized Sweater Dress-Naughty List hunt prize, a comfy looking ombre knit with "making a list" and "checking it twice" surrounding the Naughty verdict. It comes in sizing for Altamura, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Maitreya, and TMP mesh bodies.

My final look of the night can be found over at the Winter Wonderland event, and is the exclusive Poply Outfit offer from HORL. It is available only here and for $320L, and includes the jacket and pants to fit Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The cropped hoodie is a fun shade of red, and the figure-hugging jeans have a trio of gold chains that drape in front of the left front pocket with a red clip that matches the jacket. I love this for winter, early spring, even late fall; whenever it is cool out in your SL neck of the woods. 

Quick hair note of the night: the Truth VIP group is $350L to join and I believe all the prior group gifts are free at the store currently for members, so if you aren't already in the group but are a fan, you might want to treat yourself for the holidays. The new gift is called Merry, and is a fatpack of color HUDS with 2 sizes of the hairstyle. There are 6 choices on the styling tab of any color HUD (mirrored and wisp variations), and you can wear the bow on the left or right as well as hide it. The accessory HUD has 10 colors/patterns and a tinting option, and the bells can be silver or gold. As you can see from my pictures tonight, I changed textures a couple of times and then hid it for the last one, and it looks terrific no matter how you wear it. 

Whew, what a day! I got all the cooking done that I needed to for tomorrow evening, and I am pretty much ready for the holidays. Tomorrow we go to my grandmother's and have dinner there, then the next day it's pizza making with the parents :) I won't be blogging tomorrow evening (holiday and usual Saturday off), but will be back Sunday evening with some goodies to share.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are making one simple stop, with one free group tag active, and heading up the stairs to claim a bevy of beautiful group gifts :) Our destination is Black Angel, whose free group you may already be in this December for their Advent calendar (I highly recommend it!) so it makes sense to check out their generous group gifts while you're there. I even found one that seems to be the most recent that is Christmas themed, so no time like the present (pun intended) to claim that one :) My link should show you a red arrow to lead you directly upstairs to the gift area, since there is a fixed landing point but you can find it fairly easily. 

My first look is the alluring THALIA OUTFIT by BA group gift, a halter jumpsuit with coordinated heels. This long sleeved beauty has intricate feathery embroidery and a flared skirt, not to mention that built in necklace! There are Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes included, with a HUD to select from 10 colors so you can change the look with a few quick clicks. This is both flattering and modest, something of a rarity in SL fashion to some degree but there are occasions where I definitely welcome it. 

Next we can shine like a diamond (or gemstone of your choice) in the SONY DRESS by BA Store GIFT. In sizes for Freya, Legacy, Perky, Legacy Classic, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, this ruched dress falls just above the knee and has a HUD with 15 shiny textures to choose from. Some of the colors are similar, but I had a lot of fun clicking them all and seeing how pretty they each are :) The silver on the right above gives such a striking metallic look, while the blue on the left reminds me of latex. I've never worn ruched fabric in RL that I recall, but I sure do enjoy it in SL!

My final look this evening is the holiday themed gift I mentioned in the beginning, our FINNY DRESS by BA Store GIFT. It has a sparkly texture with Santa in studs on the front, with a furry trim and a pattern of trees on the skirt and the cowl neck. Sweater dresses are such a good choice for this time of year, so having festive details like this made it a no-brainer to head out to all my Advent calendar stops in. I especially like pairing them with boots, simply a personal preference and you will look spectacular no matter what you wear with it. 

It was a rainy day that set the mood for a trip to the dentist (blah) where I needed increased nitrous because I must be under extra stress. Gee, ya think?! LOL, it's called the holidays...they have good and bad sides for sure. Other than the extra gas, it went fine and I have all my ingredients for an evening of cooking tomorrow. I do expect to blog at my usual time, but if things wind up taking longer than expected I might be late or just take the night off. I am surprised that I managed to blog tonight honestly, after all that nitrous, but I had almost 3 hours sleep after the appointment so that definitely helped.  Hiya everyone! As you may have guessed from my title, tonight we are continuing our journey on the MGSN Xmas Gift Train. It was my last peaceful day until after the holiday, although my sleep was interrupted and it about 2 hours to fall back asleep, so peaceful may be the wrong wording there. I didn't have to go anywhere at least, like tomorrow when I have a dentist visit that means nitrous so a woozy day. Since I have so many things the next couple of days, I am going to attempt to blog tomorrow evening if I get enough rest after the appointment. The next day I will be doing lots of cooking for Christmas Eve, and may not be done in time to blog (the 23rd). Then I'm taking off the night of the 24th since I'll be at my grandmother's house, spending time with her and my parents and hopefully 4 cousins (2 cousins and their wives really) which is important to me since one couple didn't make it to Thanksgiving for illness reasons. Yes, that illness. I usually only see them for these 2 holidays, so fingers crossed that they are all healthy :) Christmas Day is spent at my parents' making pizza for dinner, not the most common tradition for sure but we have fun with it.
