Hiya everyone! Welcome to a special Sunday morning edition of Midnight Magpie, featuring several wonderful Advent calendar gifts that are available just for today. They deserve more gratitude than I can even adequately express. I will be posting again tomorrow morning too, as there are just so many that I'm delighted to share!

I've had a really nice weekend so far, as the visit to the farmers market was a celebration of their tenth anniversary so we were given free cake (baked by one of the regular vendors) and hot apple cider simmered with spices and orange slices, YUM! I was there for their opening day a decade ago, and am just so happy for them to still be successful. I think adapting to health needs the past few years helped (contactless pickups in the parking lot) and keeping a steady flow of new vendors when others' paths lead them in different directions. I miss it being indoors but appreciate that people are allowed to bring their dogs to the outdoor version, no health regulations against that :) The Boston terrier who is there just about every week got lucky when someone dropped a generous sample serving of handmade toffee popcorn, and he did an amusing impression of a roomba, LOL. Such a cutie, and clearly food-motivated as I am sometimes too. My next blog post will be around this time tomorrow with more Advent goodies, because there are still stores I visit daily whose gifts I haven't shared here yet and a few from last week may make another appearance.
