Halcyon Days at SL19B

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time to visit the Halcyon region at the SL19B Shop and Hop event, which is a celebration of the 19th birthday of our beloved Second Life. The SL destination guide will help you where else to explore during these final days, and it has links to all 20 of the shopping regions if you haven't visited all of them yet. There are 20 designer displays per region so that is 400 creators offering exclusive items, discounted sales, and of course free gifts. The general theme is Steampunk, so the regions are decorated accordingly and are a visual treat to go with the gift treats :)

First this evening, I slipped into a charming ruched floral dress from [4U] which is their UNDERWATER Collection ~ 008 gift. There are sizes for Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies included in this gift, all decorated with blossoms in various shades of pink on a sage green background. I definitely like this as a summer look!

In a striking nod to the steampunk theme, this is the >>GothiCatz<< SL19BGirl - minidress which is one of two gifts available at their display. The other is for the guys, so be sure to bring anyone who wears a male avatar as well :) This halter mini has tiers of ruffles alternated in black and plaid, with gears and the word PUNK on the upper bodice. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. 

I had a lot of fun with the HUD for this next gift, the JUSTINE dress from AlaFolie. The bare shouldered formfitting dress has a playful ruffle across the top, so it will highlight your favorite choker or bold earrings if you wish to accessorize. The dress fits Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, and the texture HUD has 4 vibrant options like the two seen above. 

We are certain to turn heads in this Son!a-Edge gift called Petra Dress. It has the appearance of two pieces but wears as one, in sizes for Freya Perky, Isis Perky, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. It is adorned with gold beading, lace trim at the lower hem, and 3D flowers down each hip. So detailed and gorgeous! I love the color, and I am pretty sure this is a materials enabled creation that will need your viewer to be set for advanced lighting so you can see gold reflections on the fabric. 

My final look of the evening is the flirty .HS. Annie Dress - Shop & Hop Exclusive Gift by Hot Stuff. There are Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn body sizes, and our gift also includes a HUD with 6 dress textures and 6 coordinated colors for the trim. The patterns have a similar color set but very different styles, like the cheery rainbows on the left and the stripes on the right. The hem is extra short, and the hips have scooped cutouts so this is a bold look for when you want a revealing dress. 

I am 100% ready for this weekend to begin! My houseguest just arrived, and we have exciting plans that include an upgrade for my PC. It'll be getting a new solid state hard drive, and I am not sure what else because I don't speak 'tech' ;) It has been getting slower and slower lately, particularly from photoshop and SL, so it is simply time to enhance it wherever possible.
