Hiya everyone! Tonight I explored the Rock Hunt, searching participating stores for a small black guitar for $1L apiece. The hunt's website will guide you with landmarks and hints, but please note that The Sissy Bar (one of tonight's featured prizes) has recently moved and the landmark on the website isn't updated yet so please use the one in my credits :) The prizes are excellent for any fan of music, not to mention musical artists of which I know there are plenty in SL. I feel like music is one of those universal links that anyone can appreciate no matter what culture or age.
First we have the stunning (TSB) Rock Hunt Dress from The Sissy Bar at their newest location. This bare-shouldered beauty comes in classic M and fitmesh M for classic avatars, as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. The pattern on the fabric has multicolored guitars and stars with a smattering of hearts for added pizzazz.
Next I changed into The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. WITH THE BAND Tee, another prize that definitely made me smile. The comfy tank top is provided in standard mesh sizes along with versions to fit eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The front says "I'm With The Band" in bold text, and the black and white are a classic contrast to really get attention.
Boogie on over to "Serenity" and find their guitar, and you'll be claiming this eye-catching Tattoo - Xstitch Musical Note prize. It is a BOM layer that is a system tattoo layer, so it is compatible with classic avatars in addition to any BOM mesh bodies. The treble clef symbol is surrounded by delicate sparkles, all in black for a flattering monochromatic appearance. With this and the previous prize, I'm wearing the blue jeans from the Delizio fatpack of various colors of jeans you can find for free on the marketplace.
My final look this evening is the female prize from AmAzInG CrEaTiOnS, called Kin Lingerie Dress 20. I specified because there is also a male prize, so please be sure to follow the correct hint to find the corresponding guitar. There are standard mesh sizes provided, as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. The front has a devilish dame playing a guitar, above a hand in 'rock horns' pose and decorated with band logos from a variety of decades. Even the back is ready to ROCK !The prize for the men has a similar hand design on its back but a different (just as fun) image on the front, a full outfit with top and jeans that might even include sneakers so be sure to pass that info on to any male avatars you know would enjoy it :)
It was a nice weekend here, and I was pleased as always to visit the farmers market that I go to nearly every Saturday. The weather cooperated, and the people who are there always make things special. I am trying to figure out what my mom's cousin meant be telling her to tell me to bring "snacks" to the birthday party next weekend, like that is simply too vague and I would love it narrowed down some. I have no idea what anyone else is bringing other than a hoagie tray and something else my parents and 4 cousins/spouses cannot eat, but at least my mom is making gluten free stuffed shells which are vegetarian to suit the ones who'd be left out by the lunchmeat in hoagies. I'm considering a veggie tray with ranch dip or hummus, something simple and relatively healthy :) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
