Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the BLUE SL event, where you can find lots of wonderful exclusive offers for $50L as well as other special sales items. If you join their free group, you can also pick up some lovely gifts this round, which lasts until the 8th of May. Most of them are in octagon-shaped gift boxes, silver with blue ribbon and bow, you can't miss them :) I had a good time visiting as always, and always enjoy coming up with songs that have "blue" in the title to use as my post titles. I did it once, liked it, and just kept on doing it, LOL, so this time I went with a title that I know of two songs by the name - by Lou Gramm and Melissa Manchester. As an 80s kid/teen the Lou Gramm one came to mind first. What's your favorite 'blue' song? By the way, the sales items and gifts are not all blue in color, in fact there is a wide variety and I'd say there is a theme of farewell to winter and welcoming warm weather.
My first look is the Cady Bikini & Skirt Set Black gift from Allure Couture. The top, bottom, and sheer skirt (sarong) are all provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. While this set would look amazing in any color and pattern, I think the ghostly white blossoms on the black backdrop are a fun choice for those who enjoy spring but also dress more on the dark side of the color spectrum :)
Another treat with some sheer fabric for a playful feeling is our InStyle GIFT Set *Easter Bunny*. The bodysuit and separate ruffled collar each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I love the yellow polka dots that are layered onto the yellow material, subtle and fun :) Also included but not shown are thigh bows for Maze mods of each body that the bodysuit fits (I do not own any Maze thighs to show them off) and a pair of bunny ears. I figure since Easter is over, you've probably seen more than enough bunny ears for the time being, and you certainly know what they look like ;) Not discouraging you from wearing them if you wish, more trying to make a point that the outfit can look wonderful either way.
Next we hop along to the [LS] EASTER BABY PIJAMA ROSE gift, and yes that was a lame pun because of more bunny items. This time we see not just the ears but the head and upper body of a sassy girl rabbit with pink sunglasses, a big bubblegum bubble, and a peace sign held up above the words "Bunny Babe". The pajamas are actually one piece with the look of two, in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. She really does look like she's having a great time!
Our 3 Sisters - Darlene Bikini gift is absolutely ready for summer, thanks to the revealing style and that eye-catching rainbow tie dye pattern! There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies each for top and bottom, so I switched from Lara 5.3 to Lara X for this photo and the next. The bum is definitely shaped differently on Lara X, so it actually is noticeable that I changed bodies from the rear view. I genuinely like them both, so I just wear whichever matches the sizes of clothing I'm about to wear.
My final look of the night is really appealing to the nail polish obsessed part of my soul :) The new manicure here is our .:YASU:. UN01 - The cutest nail Pink gift, a stunning color that leans either orchid or lavender on my screen, accentuated with white stripes on the pinkies, polka dots on the index fingers, and a dainty heart on the cuticle area of the middle fingers. 5 stars, just as cute as advertised in its name ♥. There are sizes for Belleza, Belleza Gen X, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Signature Alice, and Slink mesh bodies. Just hide your nails with the body's HUD and add these mesh beauties, easy peasy. I really need to polish my RL nails one of these days, but it's not going to be anything this elaborate because I don't have steady enough hands anymore.
Today brought an unexpected outing, as initially I thought the housemate would want to plan something for Tuesday but decided in the morning that nope, we're going out in the afternoon or early evening. We headed to a local grocery store that specializes in local, organic, some gluten free, generally healthy foods, almost like a tiny Trader Joe's type of place. I picked out a few things and tried my best to stay calm or distracted from my anxiety, and I did okay until the last half of the ride home. Somehow my anxiety tends to decide HEY that's enough now, we need to be home immediately, which of course isn't reasonable or possible. I obviously got home safely, albeit later than expected, but nothing that interfered with my blogging :) I'm eager for the new month to start so we can explore more in SL with new rounds of hunts and events, but of course there are still plenty of stores to visit all year round.
