Hiya everyone! Tonight we're going to be mermaids, thanks to the delightful MERMAY Hunt. There are prizes from $0L - $25L in large pearls, hidden in an underwater shopping mall that has me wondering if Atlantis had malls? Now I've been enjoying SL since 2007, so in that time I've acquired all sorts of fun avatars that I rarely use these days, and I'm sure I have mermaid tails and AOs and all sorts of clever related accessories in my massive inventory, but I didn't want to use anything that may be too old for you to also obtain. So I randomly created a photo booth for myself that took longer than it should have, LOL, but you would probably be better off visiting a beach or merpeople community to take pictures with these hunt prizes. Some are bikinis or dresses for humans too of course, so no underwater spots or special poses required :) We have just over a week left for this intriguing hunt, as it is open until the 20th. You will see hunt keys near the landing area, and we can click the sign to get a notecard with that information as well.
My first look of the evening has a floaty quality, but I'm really just 'flying' to lift myself off the sandy floor. The :.C!L.: Nixie Mermaid Tail & Top Set is a stunning outfit that makes us a delightfully fashionable mermaid indeed. The top and tail are each provided in eBody Reborn, Legacy, Maitreya, and Lara X mesh body sizes. Just use your body's HUD to hide the lower half of your body, since the tail will replace your legs, feet, and pelvis. The scales look so iridescent and shimmery, reminding me of my childhood tropical fish hobby :) The tail reminds me of a betta fish shape, and those fringey fins that almost look like feather filaments.
I couldn't resist showing off the Psyche's Pstyles Tip the Scales Skirt prize, one of 4 freebies they are offering :) I didn't even have a suitable top on hand, so my arms are acting as living pasties apparently. The skirt has a lovely scaled pattern in very pretty pastels, and naturally the style is flared at the bottom for a mermaid shape. There are classic small and medium sizes for classic avatars, as well as sizes for eBody Classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I'd recommend finding shell-shaped pasties or bra, maybe a bikini top in similar coloring.

In your human form, you just might need a new swimsuit to lounge on the sand, so be sure to find the Psyche's Pstyles Sequined Siren Swimsuit in yet another of their free pearls. This tantalizing suit has gold chains acting as our straps and belt, with a heart dangling from the belt on the right hip. It is daringly high cut to create a thong back, with a playful upside down teardrop opening in the front to show off the navel. It fits Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, and there is a HUD provided with 6 textures in various shimmery colors.
My final look of the night is our free prize ~MystRie~ called Blue Waters Mermaid. This dreamy top and tail combo is provided in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn for each piece. The texture really does have a watery appearance, like sun shining through the ocean onto reflective scales :) Now if you'll excuse me, I really want to watch The Little Mermaid again...
