Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating Pride month by visiting the Pride At Home event. This location is set up wonderfully and has booths with free gifts in the central area of the city they've created :) We can also find parades, historical exhibits, art, and much more, in a loving tribute to the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a steadfast ally and have friends and family who I am supporting this Pride month and all year long ♥. Whatever your gender identity and sexual orientation is, this is a safe place and you are always welcome here. This event is open the entire month, and all the gifts I am sharing are entirely free with no group joining/tag necessary to claim. I'll explain at the end why I missed out on blogging last night, but the important thing is I'm back and relatively okay.
My first look is the lovely Belle Epoque - Eunate - GIFT. This strapless tube dress is accentuated by stripes down the center front, in your choice of 9 pride flag color themes via HUD. We receive sizes for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies in this thoughtful gift.
We've got lots of generous tops among our gifts here, like the Cattoza. Taily Top / Pride Gift. There are black and white versions packed separately inside, each in sizing for Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'm wearing the Legacy versions on my Lara X body here, and it worked beautifully for me with no adjustments needed :) Both distressed tees have a rainbow across the front with PRIDE in a box, stamped in white to really stand out against that rainbow.
Next I slipped into the ELEVEN - Pride Tops gifts, which consists of versions [1] and [2], left and right above respectively. [1] says "You Belong", while [2] has a playful kitty surrounded by the words "Sounds Gay - I'm In" ;) That made me giggle when I desperately needed a laugh. These are each provided in Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and the style is flirty with the cropped hem that is lifted slightly on the right side. Underboob FTW!
This wonderful look is our .Pride at Home. Heartbeat Tank gift, one of several at an end display booth with the event's logos. This cropped tank top comes in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, with a HUD that offers both images seen above for the front. Heartbeats are so symbolic of love, humanity, and survival because if you've got a beating heart, you're doing okay :) There is something so soothing about the steady beat of listening to someone's heart, don't you think?
For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying the [RED GIRL] Marlowe Top Pride gift. It actually comes in 3 versions/colors - black is unspecified (and not shown here), grey is v1, and red is v2. Each of these are provided in Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh body sizing. They all say "Equality Hurts No One" and I really love that saying! It's similar to the idea of kindness is not a pie, someone else receiving some doesn't mean there is less for you. I just got a t-shirt in RL that says "Kindness is Free, Sprinkle that stuff everywhere" and I'd seen it before with 'shit' instead of 'stuff' but chose the softer version ;) Same ideas, spread joy and love to all.
So, I was going to blog this last night, but I got derailed by a mouse. I was sitting here getting ready to start blogging when I heard weird noises and I thought the empty boxes and bags to my right were falling. I kept looking and saw nothing moving, then I realized the noise was a chewing sound. Ran downstairs to tell the housemate, he of course realized what I did...mouse. He stood in the doorway listening, and said there was nothing he could do so I should just leave the room. Initially I was like nah, I need to blog, I can do this...several more bouts of chewing later, I tapped out ;) Fears are not that easy to overcome. We have woods behind our house where they start out, and they can't resist the idea of food and shelter I guess. My parents had a horrible problem with mice in their house when they first moved out this way too, so it's common in this neighborhood. They apparently can get in through remarkably small holes, and can chew through concrete (?!) so they are definitely persistent. All the boxes and bags have been moved, any trace of food has been removed (I snack in here sometimes because I'm in here like 15 hours a day) and there is currently no noise. I'm still on high alert, because anxiety is part of who I am. I had a bad experience once before in this house with mice, as we had one escape from a trap and run into my foot so that I almost stepped on it, like my little toe was wrapped around it...*shudder* when I tell you I ran to the tub and scrubbed my foot until it was red...I am also probably allergic to their dander which is not helping me stay calm. Another fun fact, they are nocturnal and so am I, lol, so no wonder I'm the one who spots them or hears them first.
