Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features some terrific hunt prizes from the annual FabFree Back To Cool Hunt, designed to help us have the perfect wardrobes for this time of year. You don't actually have to be attending any sort of school (RL or SL) to appreciate these treats of course, just have an eye for fashion and the ability to enjoy checking out various stores looking for rainbows. They are $0L - $5L so very affordable, and I've enjoyed the prior rounds of this hunt too so it was no surprise that I found plenty of prizes that tickled my fancy :) I know I mentioned fashion but there are also prizes of home decor and lots of accessories to add to the clothing to bring an outfit together, so be sure to peek at all the prize images on the website where you'll also find the landmarks and prices. This just might be a great idea to plan for part of your weekend :)
My first look has two prizes that are perfectly suited to each other, and for your next Potions class. The Adora-tions - Potions Princess Seren Crop and their Seren Skirt are just $1L each, along with a few other related goodies you'll see on the sign and the hunt site. The crop top says "Potions Princess" above a crown, cauldron, potions vial, and spellbook, and is provided in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. Our striped skirt will fit Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies, and I love how its lighter color really picks up the hue of the design on the knotted top's front.
I also couldn't wait to show you this $5L goodie, the [Ari-Pari] Kelcie Outfit. Its blouse and pleated skirt are classic separates in sizing for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. There's also a HUD enclosed, with 5 colors for each piece so we get to mix and match. I've done both here, lol, as I cannot resist the temptation to try out all the pretty colored buttons and see what catches my eye. The plaid skirt had me musing that unlike many Catholic school survivors I don't cringe at the sight of plaid, but that could be because my last 4 years of school involved a solid blue jumper over a light blue blouse, instead of the plaid jumper of my first 8 years. Time also makes a difference, and it's been decades :)
These tops both spoke to me immediately, and I'm hoping they can brighten your weekend too. The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. BETTER IN PAJAMAS Tee is the oh-so-true cutie on the left, with "Life is better in Pajamas" across the front accented by stars and a crescent moon. The goal-worthy The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. BEST DAY EVER Tee is a wish for the weekend, a cheery sun above "This is the best day ever!" in a pop of orange that also gives fall vibes. Next we pop over to Tea Lane, where one of their five $5L prizes is the precious ~TL~ School Days Diem Dress I am sporting here. The school students on the pattern are extra cute, and the style is dreamy with its turtleneck and puffy sleeves to keep us warm. We receive Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes, plus BOM panties to wear beneath. That's a pretty good lesson for SL, lol, wear panties or some "upskirt Kurt" might go camming and realize you forgot. Yes, that is the voice of experience, and it's probably been a decade or more but I've never forgotten that lesson.
My final look of the evening is a free prize from GoodVibes which is simply named Back to Cool. Its plaid shirt says "I paused my game for this" with a cute bespectacled raccoon taking a reading break. It can serve as a long tunic or a short dress, in sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Star bodies. We even receive the BOM pink lace modesty panty that reminds me of the lace-edged biker shorts I wore many moons ago ;) You can always swap those out for jeans or longer leggings if you prefer, as the weather should be getting cooler one of these days.
I'm facing a little bit of uncertainty about my weekend, as the housemate's car was in for repairs all day and then leaked when it was parked at my parents' during dinner. So back it must go, and it is hard to say what will happen. The plan is for me to go to the farmers market though if possible, which was harder than anticipated last week so I've got some serious anxiety happening right now. Part of me wants to go, and the other part is too nervous. I get how weird this sounds to anyone who's never dealt with agoraphobia, or even just anxiety about being in a car, but I'm pretty open about this being my reality. The panic attacks last week were upsetting, yet I got through them and am here to tell the tale :) I still have the sun rash from it though, so my main priority is sunscreen! I've had that happen before, thanks to being on thyroid medication, so I should really be more careful. Brand new, non-expired sunscreen has been obtained though and I'm all set.
