After School Special at Sn@tch
Hiya everyone! The newest Fish 4 This set at Sn@tch is in the waters (and the air, and wherever you are magically casting in their store) and it is called After School Special. There are 21 pieces in this set, compatible with classic or mesh avatar bodies, such as the 6 sweaters in system layers or all on one Omega applier, with matching prim collars bagged 2 colors at a time. The jumpers are each bagged in a bounty of sizes: standard, Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. There are accessories too, pairs of pumps with thigh high socks in two different bags, one being sizes XS to XL for standard bodies and the other Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. There is even a hair to fish up, that goodie bag contains two sizes and a HUD with 12 natural colors. Please remember to bring a friend or several, as these fishing prizes are transferable and you can swap with others to complete your collections faster. I envisioned getting ready for a visit to one of SL's many institutes of learning, as there are so many school oriented places inworld including some official RL colleges having a presence here. But how to choose from all these colors and possible combinations? First I tried the Sn@tch Emily Ribbed Turtleneck in Red, pairing it with the matching Ribbed Collar in Red and the Sn@tch After School Jumper in Red. I am also wearing the Sn@tch Charlotte Hair in Naturals, and selected one of the lovely blonde shades from the included HUD. Then a quick outfit change, I decided I wanted to see the Navy versions of the Emily Turtleneck and the After School Jumper. I forgot to add the collar, so I will just pretend that I meant to show you what the shirt looks like without the collar ;) These colors can be mixed in so many ways, one of many terrific aspects of this set.
Then it hit me, I needed some footwear too if I wanted to be completely ready to go out. So I changed into the Emily Ribbed Turtleneck (with matching collar this time) and the After School Jumper each in Khaki, and added the Sn@tch Elodie Pumps & Socks which are a single mesh piece for a smooth fit. I couldn't resist admiring the tiny bows atop each sock, and the classic Mary Jane styling of the shoe in a pretty patent leather.
I chose a deep brunette from the hair HUD, and slipped into the White turtleneck and collar, then tried on a couple more jumpers to help me make a decision. On the left is Tweed, a smoky gray that reminds me of a pea coat or a classic tailored suit. Houndstooth is the jumper to the right, mostly shades of black and white but with slender lines of red that would look just as sharp with the red turtleneck beneath to bring them out.
Next I chose a frosty platinum shade worthy of a Targaryen for my hair, and added the Grey version of the Emily Ribbed Turtleneck and matching collar. For the jumper I chose the Purple variety, with teal green ribbons woven through its bold plaid. I really like this combination, but there are still a couple options waiting in my closet...
This hair hue reminds me of a soft rose gold, so it looks beautiful against the Black turtleneck and matching collar. It also is an ideal choice to pair with the Pink jumper on the left, and the Green on the right with other subtle colors mixed in. The green is probably the closest to my own grade school days of plaid uniforms, as mine were mostly green with hints of red, blue, and yellow thrown in and worn with kelly green socks. This is a distinctly more mature take on that old look though, one that can be enjoyed in a roleplay situation or just casually worn out and about.
It was a beautiful day here, and my busy day was fun and productive. I got several healthy treats to enjoy throughout the week, got to visit and chat with people who always make me happy, and got some plans for the week squared away with my family.
