Free Dove Hunt- Alaskametro
Hiya everyone! Tonight we have another of the Free Dove hunts for February, this time from alaskametro, whose makeup and clothing have long ago caught my attention for the wonderful details and colors. Their 10 prizes at Free Dove are tucked inside pretty heart-shaped balloons, which is appropriate since their full name ends in a <3 text heart (blogspot is complaining about an HTML tag being broken when I try to type it, sigh) so these light pink balloons are a great choice for a hunt object. I always suggest you check the signs at Free Dove for the hunt information, and lately there have been not just a sample but an actual prize right there for each to get you started. So these gifts consist of a variety of alaskametro's typical skillful offerings, some romantic lingerie and stockings plus sets of nail polishes and even pretty lip glosses. The clothing and lip glosses are suitable for classic avatars as well as mesh bodies/heads which is always a plus. First I took a good appreciative look at prize #10, Yvette lingerie in Fawn. The system layers and appliers for Maitreya, Omega, and Slink each have the bra and panties with or without the corset, which as you can see has straps for stockings. That is why I added the lovely prize #8, Black silk stayup stockings. These are also in system layers plus Maitreya, Omega, and Slink appliers. I really like the lacy texture, and you will be pleased to know that the lingerie can be found in a different prize in a soft teal color, and the stockings in a different shade in another prize as well.
More alluring lingerie can be found in the heart balloon number 5, "Bette" lingerie in Cranberry. It immediately brought to mind the delicate underclothing of a bygone era, with its strapless bra and high waisted shorts, each decorated with a strip of fine lace. This gift includes both the system layers and appliers for Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, and a different shade can be found in another balloon.
I switched to my Slink flat hands here after having some glitches with the nails themselves on my classic and elegant that I usually wear. These beautiful nails are the "Dark Hearts" nail polish from prize #3, and there are 5 different designs per HUD for Maitreya hands, Maitreya feet, Omega, and Slink. These manicures of various heart glitters over a solid black base reminded me of some glittery top coats I have in RL, and I deeply appreciate having similar in SL now.
Another fun set of mani/pedi looks can be found in prize #7, the "Pastel Hearts" nail polish in 5 dainty shades with tiny heart glitters. As with the other nail prize, this includes HUDs for Maitreya hands, Maitreya feet, Omega, and Slink. There is even a third set of nail polish to be found in another heart balloon, so be on the lookout for those as well while visiting Free Dove.
One more look of the night, we have some sheer "Glass" lipglosses from prize #4. I am showing 4 of the 6 pale colors included, to give you a good glimpse at the soft washes of shimmery color each will add to your system or mesh lips. These are provided in classic layers as well as appliers for Catwa, Lelutka, and Omega. Top left is #1, 3 is top right, and bottom left and right are 4 and 5 respectively. There are times I may lean towards a darker lip tone for a certain look, but with a pale skin tone I think these subtle tints are right up my alley most days.
Whew, it has been quite a day, quite a week already...I am afraid I may need to step away from my blog for a couple of days to take care of health issues, my own and someone else who needs my help and is most likely contagious.
