Suck It, Cupid!

Hiya everyone! One of the things I appreciate most about Second Life is that there truly is something for everyone, so if you are one of those people who is not a fan of romance or perhaps you just aren't in the mood this year for lovey-dovey stuff (recent breakup, life changes, just tired of mushy stuff, whatever the case may be) but if you are not eager to see Cupid this year and celebrate Valentine's Day, there is a perfect hunt for you. The Suck It Cupid Hunt is a small free gridwide hunt that will provide a devilish challenge (no hints) along with fantastic prizes. The best advice I can give in the absence of hints is to look for the red & black words Suck It! (sample is on the sign at every stop) in places like corners, shelves, beneath furniture in the stores, these are all general suggestions for any hunt really though. I hope it helps, Xan and I definitely found this one to be a tricky but worthwhile effort :)

My first fun look starts with the womens' outfit from Gemase Designs (yes, there is a mens' prize too) which consists of the Screw Love top (that is both the name and what it says across it beneath the broken heart) and the Love Sucks Pants, each in standard mesh sizes plus versions for Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP. The straps wrapped around the legs are really a fun touch and go well with the wrap style of the shirt. My avi was looking a bit peckish, so I added the prize from Insanity's Own called ~IO~ Broken Heart Cookie Nom. This piece of a heart cookie has 5 textures built in, just click it to rotate through them until you find the flavor you like best. 

I try not to play favorites when I blog, but I have to admit that this outfit just might be my favorite prize from this hunt :) It is from Dark Water Designs, and consists the Shift Dress "Sucker" in 8 fitmesh sizes including Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, plus the Rainbow Sucker (mouth) and the Alley Cat Headband in hot pink. The dress alone would catch my eye with that pink and black combo I love so much, but the accessories just add fun and personality to the look that I greatly appreciate.

Maybe you plan on spending Valentines Day at home, a nice nap or a soothing bubble bath, well Artic Storm has a pampering prize for you. This is the Suck It Cupid Bathrobe and Lingerie, and it includes the plush robe in standard mesh sizes along with the bra and panties in system players plus an Omega applier. There is even a pair of fuzzy pink slippers included but not shown, for classic avatar feet. This is a great look for days when you aren't mad at Cupid and are relaxing with someone special, too, and the lips on the robe can be romantic.

I kept the panties on from the previous prize so I could share a couple of terrific shirts from this hunt with all of you. This is the RyderWear gift for ladies, Pale Purple Brocade Tank Top Fitmesh which includes standard, Hourglass, Physique, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, and TMP versions. Not only that, there is a $50L gift card to RyderWear inside, and there are silver tank tops for the men so everyone gets a treat for finding the words Suck It! in this store. 

One last look of the night, this shirt is our prize from Miss Jewell and is named Puppy in the folder, looks to me like a bedazzled devilish heart atop a shredded style tank top in standard mesh sizes. I paired it with another delightful prize, the Key To My Heart choker from Venomous Rage Designs. It has a resize script built in, and the scrollwork around the key is exquisite. There are so many ways to wear either prize, paired with things like your favorite skirt, some leather shorts, something with black lace...go dramatic, romantic, or let your inner bad girl come out and play. I am a big fan of exploring your own personal tastes, while being influenced by other sources of inspiration.

Today was a record high temperature for the area, but tomorrow we are getting hit with snow, so clearly Mother Nature is still not happy with us and is having some dramatic mood swings. My fingers are crossed that the storm isn't too bad, and that I can still enjoy my usual weekend plans without much hassle. I already postponed a doctor visit, just by a week, since my street and driveway will take a while to be cleared out.
