Spring Break and Spring Fling

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are welcoming spring with an appropriately named hunt and a similarly well named event :) The hunt is the Spring Break Hunt, with $1L prizes hiding inside pairs of sunglasses with teal frames, and some stores also offer $25L exclusives that are also hidden in those same hunt objects. So be sure to use their website as your guide with hints to each, as well as all the landmarks to navigate from store to store. The preview images let you know what is inside each pair of shades. Then we are visiting the lovely Malus Park to explore their Spring Fling event, an annual celebration of the new season with exclusive offers and gifts of $25L or less at each display. The region is so well designed too, it really felt welcoming and spring-like when I stopped by. Enjoy!!

The first prize I found was the $1L treat from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. WE DANCE TOO Tee. I had a "today I learned" moment because I was unfamiliar with this specific saying which appears on the tank top, "Poor People Like to Dance Too", which it turns out is a song by a Canadian rapper named Transit22. Not my usual genre since I mostly listen to 70s-90s music, but I enjoyed it :) My motto clearly is: when in doubt, google it! The prize includes standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. 

Next we have the charming Kelda Outfit from [Ari-Pari], a bandana top and sporty shorts each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 5 colors for each, so you can mix and match your floral tops and solid shorts. I really like the styling of both, reminding me of 70s fashion while feeling fresh and springy.

A classic spring break activity is heading to a beach, so this $1L prize from ::REA:: is ideal for that :) Their Shiane Swim Blue starts with the intriguing dark blue floral swimsuit in eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizes. From the rear it looks like a two piece, but the front shows the flirty connections. Then there are 3 versions of the towel included, so you can select a no-animation version with resize script built in or animation versions with and without the resize script. This way you can control the amount of scripting you are wearing, in case of lag or region guidelines. Also included but not shown is a large beach ball to rez out and liven up your area if allowed. It has the classic bold colored sections alternating with white ones, and was generously sized for extra fun.

BlondeQueen also has a wonderful $1L prize for the Spring Break Hunt, called BQ::Rose Mini Dress:: . It is a pretty strapless dress with extra short flouncy skirt, decorated with large pink blooms and some smaller white flowers in the mix. The prize includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Signature Alice, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

My final look of the evening can be found exclusively at the Blink2Wink display at the Spring Fling event for just $125L, and is aptly named Springie. This beauty is perfect for spring with its strapless style and ruffled asymmetrical hemline, extra short to take advantage of the seasonal breezes ;) It is provided in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, with a very generous HUD that offers 12 solid colors and 15 prints. The ruched top is tied with a delicate bow, and the bodice shows off a slight wrapped style that certainly caught my eye. 

My day was frustrating, as my Saturday farmers market plans are being cancelled due to rain and snow that are supposed to arrive that morning. It is disappointing because there are several vendors there I really wanted to chat with, and a few who will have new offerings that I was eager to try. I guess those will have to wait until next week.
