Hiya everyone! I have more prizes to share from the Medieval Hunt XIV - Story of Salem. There are a wide variety of gifts to be found, obviously I mainly focus on the fashion but I've found some fun home decor too for example. You never know what you'll find in these hunts, and sometimes a picture on a hunt blog doesn't even capture the full scope of what a gift looks like or does. I love when they surprise me!
This stunning gown is an exclusive prize from C&N called Larunna, and they are #14 in the hunt. You will receive it in standard mesh sizes for a fine fit. The colors and pattern are lovely, and it looks as pretty from the back as it does from the front. I accessorized with the prize from #17, Chaos, Panic & Disorder! They have included a mens and womens version of their Wooden Pentacle Necklace (I'm sure you can guess which I'm wearing) and the beads are a really nice touch.
This elegant costume is our gift from #38 Tayren's Fantasy Fashions, and it is called Plague Witch (a mens version called Plague Warlock is also included). It is a wonderfully thorough gift, consisting of not only the mesh gown in standard sizes, but also the mask, pentacle necklace, and tintable hair in 3 sizes to fit nicely beneath the hood of the gown. The mask triggered a partial memory so I wound up doing some googling, and it served as an interesting reminder that witch persecution does predate Salem, and this mask stems from a time in Europe when they believed witches were to blame for the plague, and the beak part of the mask held scented herbs to protect doctors from the bad smells that they believe infected people with the plague. The necklace is also quite striking, with the moon as an addition to the pentacle, which I would interpret to symbolize the Goddess within everything, including the elements represented by the pentacle. I can't speak for the creator's intention, that is merely my guess :)
A new-to-me location called Taufells provided this appealing trio of Arwen dresses, which certainly made me smile. This is #41 in the hunt path, and they have provided not only these gowns in green, purple, and red as shown (standard mesh sizes of each), but a men's prize and a shield with an owl design on it. I love the little details, like how the design isn't quite identical for each color variation so it really is 3 different versions.
Before I wrap up with the credits, may I offer you a beverage? This tray is our gift from Kittycat's Creations (#45) and is called Banke of Brewes, and our detail-oriented brewmaster has included a notecard explaining that these are all ales that were available during that time frame, and because they are called Sixe-shilling Beere, Shilling Ale, Half-penny Ale, and Penny Ale, the name Bank fell into place quite nicely. She does a remarkable amount of research before creating any of her products, and I guess that's why I love showing you her work. Each has its own cup (stein?) and they are wearable and throwable (and spellfire scripted), so I suggest being a nice host while offering these or you might get bonked in the head ;) When your guest clicks a drink, it disappears from your tray and is offered to them in their inventory, but don't worry it will reappear shortly on the tray so someone else may choose it as well.
Nail note of the night: same as last night, I went with a French manicure from the default Slink HUD for simplicity. These historical themed outfits don't seem like they'd need nail art to complement them, hehe.

Hiya everyone! One of the current free gridwide hunts I have been working on is the Medieval Fantasy Hunt XIV - Story of Salem. There is a focus on the macabre this time of year, which is generally not my thing I admit, but I am fascinated by history and this hunt is rooted in a sad, dark time in the past. I was a bit thrown by the hunt object we're searching for being a pyre, which I initially saw as a misshapen broom (I'm sure that amused Xan when he had to correct me, LOL) but it serves as a reminder of a past we never want to relive. That said, let's move on to the prizes I am sharing tonight!
This gown is absolutely incredible, so please do click the photo to see a bigger and better view. This is the prize from irrISIStible, #34 in the hunt, and includes the beautiful mesh gown along with a prim pelvis attachment and prim spine (flowers at the waist and cleavage) and the flexi skirt. I showed it in the middle without any attachments, and with the lovely lacing in the back I couldn't resist sharing a rear view. Another thing I noticed is that the dress is very figure flattering!
Our next look is prize #32 from Kitty Creations, called The Chattel of Salem. The ladies' prize includes the mesh Yearning top and skirt plus Chattel sleeves each in standard sizes, along with the Medieval Iron open collar with scripting that was looking for RLV and turned itself off when it found none. I really like the separate pieces, which will allow for more flexibility so I can leave off the sleeves if I choose or wear the top with something else, and the collar can be omitted for a sense of freedom.
This lovely gown is the gift from {Acios} and is simply named Salem Witch Dress. They are #18 in the hunt path. This elegant prize has a popular style, with the attached cape trailing gently behind.
If the word "witch" makes you think of spiders and pentacles and dramatic high collars, this dazzling dress might be just what you're looking for. Tamiron Forge (#25) is offering this dramatic gift for the ladies, with a system layer top and prim sleeves, a mesh skirt in standard sizes, a collar attachment, the triple chain belt with resize script, and matching pentacle earrings. Be sure to notice the deep plunging neckline with the visiting spider hiding in there ;)
Nail note of the night: for simplicity, I went with the Slink default HUD and used their deep red for the first photo, a neutral French mani for the rest, and the stiletto setting for added drama. I have a skin note of the night too, as I am wearing the new group gift from WoW skins, which is not free to join but all previous group gifts are always available. There are lucky chairs and boards that don't require the group, and some boards plus Midnight Mania boards that do.
The subject matter of the hunt makes me think back to being a teenager or maybe even younger, and walking to my local library (this was before the internet and google, hehe) and reading all the books I could on witchcraft. My town was just small enough that the librarians knew my mom and decided to express their concern to her, but she is awesome enough that she just replied that I am an avid reader and it's not a problem if the books were age appropriate like no nudity or adult language. They weren't the only books I read, but she was more concerned about the racy romance novels! Oh well, I do hope you're all having a great day/evening, magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Hiya everyone! Tonight is part two of the nails available in the Spookify Your Body Hunt, and there are plenty of great finds to adorn your fingertips in style. I truly enjoy playing around with the HUDs and painting individual nails, coming up with fun combinations to make them my own. Well, let's have a look, shall we?
First we have a Slink Pumpkin Face set from [: Rad Designz :] who are #9 in the hunt. There are 6 designs on the HUD, but as you can see one of them seems to be doing its own thing and is actually a silhouette on an orange sky instead of a smiling pumpkin. The best part is, I'm all about variety so I don't even mind :)
Our next beautiful manicure is courtesy of #11 La Boheme, and you already know I'm a huge fan of theirs. Reinforcing my fandom, you can see a sampling of both designs you receive if you find their free pumpkin, [LB Nightmare Gold] on my right hand and [LB Nightmare Silver] on the left hand so screen right. Each has 10 different colors for the background, and there are HUDs for Slink/Omega manicure, Slink/Omega pedicure, and Maitreya nails. These are simply stunning!
For some more Halloween themed nail art, be sure to visit #21 LIVIA and find that pumpkin so you too can enjoy their Nightmare Nails. There are 5 choices on their HUD for Omega and Slink, 4 in a classic monochrome but one having a touch of orange among the webbing. I think I'd like to alternate the black and white background webs or use one as the accent nail for the other.
You may have been wondering about the top I'm wearing that is visible in little glimpses above, well the good news is that it is another prize from this hunt! The prize from #6 Lolita is this Mesh Lace Bra in black, and includes standard mesh sizes plus one for Slink Physique. The pattern on the ruffle reminds me of eyelet lace, and honestly even though it's labeled as a bra I think it can be worn as a shirt, especially with that frilly layer on top. Dress it up with a maxi skirt, make it casual with jeans or leather pants, the possibilities are endless.

Hiya everyone! I am pleased to share with you the first part of the nails from the Spookify Your Body Hunt. I decided to split it into 2 posts so it's not so photo-heavy, so now you already know what to look forward to in tomorrow's post as well. I do have a sexy outfit from the same hunt to start out with though...
This is a very playful lingerie set from ~KRAKT~ which is just called Spooky Gift. It includes system layers of top and bottom and stockings, along with appliers for Maitreya and Omega. I used the Omega applier on my Slink feet for the first time and as you can see, that worked out just fine :) First life me is not a fan of spiders by any stretch of the imagination, but Second Life me apparently isn't opposed to rocking an occasional outfit with several spiders and their webs, in some sensitive places no less. The little faces and ghosts on the fabric are really cute, too.
In the first photo I was wearing the glossy black ghosts from Hello Dave's wonderful gift for this hunt, which is prize #1 and called Spookify. The HUD works for Slink and Omega, and has a generous 25 buttons in 5 rows with a note explaining that the top and third rows are the glossy versions of the same designs in matte on the second and 4th rows. Those are the single ghosts in 5 colors in the left photo (matte on my left hand, glossy on the right, hard to tell the difference in the photo) and the multiple ghosts on the right half of the photo. The bottom row has 5 solid glossy colors, shown on the very right of the photo. I'm going to suggest you click all these photos to see their full size and appreciate the details :)
Glasgow Grin is store #3 in the hunt, and was set for sale for $1L instead of $0L (the number of hunts going on at once and variations in price have got to be confusing if a store is participating in several) so here is what you get for your tiny little linden. Their HUDs are for Omega and Slink, and have 8 different black designs on the pumpkiny orange background color. I think my favorites are the ghost with his tongue out (my right index finger) and the haunted house silhouette (left index) or perhaps even the black cat on my right middle fingernail. They're all good choices, and mixing and matching is fun!
Our last set of nails for the day is the one I gave a slight sneak peek of yesterday, #22 from {Purrsnickitty}. Their Webby Nails come in two HUDs for Slink fingers and Slink toes, and the toes is (still) the only one that works for me. As you can see though, the toes HUD allowed me to apply to individual nails to each fingertip, so you can see all 8 colors with their artfully draped cobwebs.

Hiya everyone! One really fun thing about October gridwide hunts is that they can take on Halloween type themes in a variety of ways, and Apply Your Body Hunts has playfully tackled the season with their Spookify Your Body Hunt. You'll be looking for a flat prim with a smiling pumpkin (jack o'lantern) on it. I love my Slink hands and feet, especially playing with the great nail designs out there for them, so that is my main motivation for enjoying this hunt. Tomorrow I'll focus on the nails, tonight I have featured some great clothing and skin that comes with appliers plus a bonus of shoes!
Just look at all the delightful skin tones we can find in the pumpkin at Dulce Secrets, #15 in the hunt path. The shades are called Bloodless, Craven, Flesh, Indigo, Malice, and Starlight (shown in each photo in that order from left to right). These each come with matching Slink and Omega HUDs, and the makeup is really striking on each color.
Since you were probably wondering about the sexy seasonal lingerie I'm wearing, here's a better look at prize #20 from Que Bella! This is their Sasha Pumpkins bra and panty, more of a thong really, and it does come with appliers for Omega and TMP. As you may notice, I left the Flesh tone of the Dulce Secrets prize skin on for the remainder of the photos.
Looking for some clever shoes for Halloween? Head on over to Grumble, store #4 in the hunt, and you'll find these Little Devil Slink heels in their pumpkin. Those pitchfork heels are fairly subtle if you're not zooming in on your feet, but they are really a great touch and the orange color should go well with plenty of seasonal outfits.
Our last goodie for the night is this bodysuit filled with symbols of the holiday! Prize #14 is from Scrambled Eggy's and is called Candied Bats, and it includes the system layers shown plus appliers for Slink, Lena, Belleza, and Omega for a wide variety of bodies. I love the style of it, from the straps in the front to the pointed dip in the back. I'm even thinking that I will probably wear the top as a shirt and pair it with jeans or a simple skirt. Versatility is a wonderful thing :)
Nail note of the night: I tried on one of the prizes from the hunt from #22 Purrsnickitty called Webby Nails, and the finger HUD didn't work for me; nothing on it was clickable. I tried on the toes HUD and guess what? That one worked perfectly on both my fingers and toes :) So I left the orange shade on for all the photos. I never rule out the possibility of an SL glitch so I'll give it another try later, but for now at least we know the toes HUD worked fine for me.
Well, it's been an enjoyable but tiring day and I didn't get enough sleep as usual, hehe, so I am eager for my second wind to kick in as it always does :) There were 2 new bakers at the farmers' market this morning, so I have some treats to sweeten my weekend even more. I have a fun hunt to share with all of you, the Good Witch Bad Witch Hunt which is a free hunt with just 15 stops where you will be looking for a pointed black hat with a bright green band. What will you find inside? I am showing you the clothing prizes I found, and you can peek at their blog to see photos of the rest. Enjoy :)
First we have the prize from Perfect Seduction, the organizers of the hunt and stop #1. Their ladies' gift is these adorable Witch PJs, one piece of mesh in standard sizes. There is another hat hidden in the store with a mens' gift, which is a matching pair of sleep pants.
I have on two prizes here, let's start with the dress...Sherbert has provided us with their Good Witch dress in all the usual mesh sizes plus a fitted mesh version. I thought the dusky color was perfect for dressing up with prize #11 from Perfections, which is their Snow Queen jewelry set. The headpiece and earrings are included, and they have some bling and a glow to them (the photo captured the glow but not bling) so will brighten up any outfit or evening.
This flirty outfit is from Pretty-N-Pink, who are #7 in the hunt, and it's called Sabrina, I assume in honor of the Teenage Witch show. Their gift includes the system layer shirt and thong with appliers for Belleza, Eve, Omega, Slink, and TMP, along with the mesh skirt in standard sizes PLUS the shoes for Slink high. The colors and patched design of the skirt made me smile, and in case you can't quite read it the shirt says, "Are you a Good Witch or a Bad Witch? ...Depends on who you ask". For the record, most of the time I lean good...most....
JK Style is giving us this fun little dress as prize #14, and it says Halloween is not just spiders. There is a gorgeous phoenix on the front, and a ghost on the back, but as you can see there are a few spiders around as well. I love the twisted front and the sexy slit on the side! This is provided in all the usual mesh sizes plus ones for Belleza, Slink, and Maitreya.
Last but certainly not least, we have the Good Witch outfit from *Zesty*, who are #15 the final stop in the hunt. The top is mesh in the usual sizes, and the pants are a system layer with an Omega applier. If you're wondering about that incredible necklace, I can't blame you :) That is our prize from #10 Indulge Temptation! and comes in 2 versions, one with black pentacles and one with silver. It also includes a HUD that lets you resize the necklaces if need be, and change the colors of the flowers to an amazing 35 different choices. As you can see in the inset, a few choices have a variegated look with multiple colors in the same flower. These beauties are not just for Halloween!
Nail note of the night: Nail It Good! is offering a prize in this hunt too, so be sure to visit #2 in the hunt to get the fun Good Witch Bad Witch HUD for Slink nails. 6 different designs, definitely suited to the season with nighttime silhouettes and pumpkins and more.
My busy weekend is rapidly approaching, in less than 10 hours I'll be headed to a farmers market to kick things off. It's always a good time, with a real sense of community among the vendors and regular customers. Hiya everyone! I found out about a store hunt later than I would have liked, because it ends on October 4th so I'm only giving you a few days notice, but it's SO worth it! Beloved Jewelry has remodeled their store, so they decided to celebrate by hiding 10 rubies around the store containing free gifts. If you walk around the store and look, you can see them all without having to cam behind or under the displays or into walls, hehe, it's not a terribly tricky hunt and since it's one store rather than a gridwide hunt, I have confidence that you can do it :) It only took me a few minutes of admiring the store and their lovely jewelry before I'd found all 10 rubies. Their style is elegant and relatively simple overall, and I feel that makes them very versatile. Let's have a look at those prizes, shall we?
First we have prizes #1 and #2, which are their Silver Choker with Lilac Stones and matching Silver Earrings with Lilac Stones. The choker comes in a version with a resize script built in if you need it, I am wearing without and it just needed a slight height adjustment for me. You can see in the earrings closeup that the lilac stones are a very pale shade, so these can match almost any pink or purple in your wardrobe along with most other colors.
Find the rubies labeled #3 and #4 and you will be the proud new owner of this stunning set, the Gold Choker with Green Stones and matching earrings. This choker as with the others does have a resize version as well as one without, and the yellow gold tone complements the light green stones very well.
If you enjoy a nice crescent moon design as I do, you will definitely want to find these prizes, #5 and #6. The Gold Necklace and matching Gold Earrings are beautifully crafted, and the little details make things special. This necklace also comes with a resize version.
As you can see, there are even matching bracelets and rings to be found for that last set, so you can add more sparkle! The bracelets are prize #7 and come in left and right versions, and the ring is #8 which is for the right hand and has a resize version along with one without. This ring only needed the slightest tweak to sit just right on my mesh hand, so that was a relief.
This set strikes me as very feminine with the pale pink pearls, yet with a dash of nontraditional as the setting is unique and very appealing. This lovely Pink Bead Necklace is #9, the matching Pink Bead Earrings can be found in prize #10. The necklace has a resize version as well. I do love the colors chosen for these prizes, and can easily see them all becoming staples in my SL wardrobe.
Nail note of the night: at the new home of the Kiyomizu Mall, you will find that *pulcino* has 2 lucky boards in their store there, and one of them has a set of Slink nails called Beast, which you can see in only one of my photos above really but I do intend to show again soon :) The other lucky board has a gorgeous dress that I also will be sharing soon. For now, you got a tiny glimpse of a golden nail with a slender red streak down the middle, and darker gold like a shadow on each side. There are other colors for the center stripe, as you will see. No group needed at their Kiyomizu Mall location's boards either, which is a plus. My dress, which can barely be seen but deserves another mention, is an enMESHed Into Fall prize that I blogged yesterday, the lovely Antoinelle dress from [Marquesse].
