Moonstar Celebration
Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to share that Moonstar is celebrating their 12th birthday as a popular provider of fashion in SL, and they are doing so with 2 free hunts. They have 2 locations, each of which have prizes hiding inside "moonstars" (a crescent moon and a star together) that you just have to click to receive a gift. I found 11 of the 12 at their Moonstar By The Sea location on the sim of Shelter, and I will be showing you a handful of those in tonight's post. I do remember their creations from my early days, and I am very pleased for them that they are still helping us look our best, from casual to formal and beyond. You have a little over a month to visit both stores and find these treats, as the celebration lasts until the 15th of September, so take your time and bring a friend for added fun. You can click a box on the front desk for a folder with information such as both landmarks and a photo of the hunt item you are looking for.
My first look is the prize called *V* Poppies Jumpsuit, and I love the simplicity of the one piece outfit in such lovely colors. The prize includes both a classic and a fitmesh Medium version for classic avatars, as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizing. The bold red poppies are perfectly matched by the tied straps, and the loose pants are a flattering contrast to the tight top.
Please give this picture a click to see the *V* Aurene Gown in its proper size and in all its glory :) This prize reminds me of the pre-mesh days when our dresses were all system layer tops and glitch pants with a skirt of flexi panels, much like this but now we have appliers for mesh bodies as well. This gown has the upper and lower sections each in opaque (shown) and sheer versions, system/BOM layers and Omega appliers for each, meant to be worn beneath the long flexi skirt with built in resize script. The pearl necklace I am wearing is provided too, and it also has that handy resize script so you can adjust it with a click. This skirt really flutters and flows when walking or moving at all, it is quite a sight to behold!
Next we have the *V* Toyah Dress prize, a beautiful retro style halter dress with contrasting bust and flared skirt. The dress comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing, all with a bonus of black lace panties to wear beneath in system/BOM layer and Omega applier.
If you find the moonstar that holds this prize, your summer can be just a bit sweeter :) It is called *V* Grapefruity Beach Dress, and the zigzag stripes are dotted with pink grapefruit slices. The style would work well as a coverup for a bikini, and has 2 large pockets in that sunny yellow-orange color. Our gift includes Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizes.
For my final look of the evening, I selected this playful *V* Rose Silk Dress prize. The dress has a laced up neckline and fishnet inserts on each side, above high cut thigh openings. It comes in standard mesh sizes as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. Also included is a C-string, which is like panties but without the sides, which has a built in resizer script so you can create the fit you need. That is one of many things I have always appreciated about Moonstar - they do often provide accessories for their looks and many times they include panties or something for a bit of added modesty with skirts.
My day was a fairly calm and pleasant one, with delicious food from a new Australian vendor at the farmers market for dinner. I have my next few blog posts planned, which is always a relief, and I do not have any major plans in RL for this week other than watching playoff NHL hockey :) I hope all of you have a beautiful week ahead, with lots of magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
