Shop and Hop is Jubilant

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Jubilant sim/region of the Shop and Hop winter shopping event, one of 9 dedicated to the final event of 2020 or the first of 2021, depending on your point of view ;) It started in 2020 but ends on January 3rd, so it will help us bring in the new year with style. There are discounted offers for sale, and of course most of the designers are offering holiday gifts for all visitors. I always enjoy visiting this locale, as all the rounds of Shop and Hop bring something new and exciting.

First up, we have the Kastle Rock Couture gift called :KR: I'm So Gifted Party Dress. Its single shoulder has a large red bow atop it, looking dramatic against the black mini dress. The gift includes sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

Next we take a look at the lovely Adita Dress Fatpack from Luas, a very generous gift indeed :) The dress is provided in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizing, with a 10 color HUD for the main material of the dress. The furry trim always stays white, and the holly remains as you see on the left with red berries and glossy green foliage. 

This daring look is the Kaithleen's Syd Bodysuit - Poudre, a strapless skintight outfit with deep V neckline and lace panels down each side. It comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Legacy, and Legacy Perky bodies, with a HUD to choose from 20 colors for the lace or turn it on and off. I thought the plunging neckline would be a great frame for some jewelry, so I added the Lapointe and Bastchild gift of L&B FREE Locke Heart Necklace. This has a resize script built in so you can adjust as needed, and as you can see from the inset there are 2 strands that each have a locket on them with different shapes. So pretty!

Another must-visit display is that of Neve, as they are offering a fun scarf for the current event's gift as well as a gift called "neve's gifts of holiday's past bundle" with an impressively generous array of treats inside. One of those is this sweet Iza Rainbow 2017 gift, a fluttery slip dress with spaghetti straps that cross in the back, and lacing on each side beneath the arm opening. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass bodies. 

For my final look of the evening, I randomly chose another treat from their gifts of holidays past, this being called Holiday 2017 and more proof that neve's looks are timeless. This is a single piece that consists of sweater, tank top, belt, and skirt, in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. The HUD provided has 4 buttons at the top to change the entire look at once, then individual colors for various parts - 4 for the sweater plus on/off, 6 for the top, 6 for the skirt plus on/off, and 6 for the belt plus on/off options. There is plenty of versatility here, and I really enjoy the color choices too. 

2020 is almost over, and mine seems to be ending in a very topsy-turvy way. Thanks to twitter and following a local sports team, I found out that my ex-husband (who worked indirectly for said team, did podcasts and some announcing etc.) passed away, age 55. I am genuinely in shock, even though we hadn't spoken in 20 years and things were messy when we split up. The team tweeted about him, and other teams in the same league posted little tributes to him as well. I never wished any harm on him, as we both moved on long ago and it would be painfully petty of me to do so. I don't fully know how to feel, and I have no idea if he was ill for a while or if it was sudden, maybe even pandemic-related. He leaves behind a wife and two stepchildren, and I am truly sorry for their loss. I do not wish for any sympathy since I am not the one who deserves it, just explaining my state of mind and how 2020 is proving to be a dumpster fire to the very end.
