Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some treats to share from the Renaissance Hunt V, from Historical Hunts who also bring us the annual Steam Hunt and Silk Road Hunt. These prizes are generally great for roleplaying but not necessarily restricted to just that, who says you can't wear what you want whenever you wish? :) Well, if you're ready to journey back several centuries with me, I have some lovely prizes to show you.
This is an extraordinary mesh gown, from **DSO** who are #021 in the hunt. Not only does it have a beautiful combination of colors and textures, but that collar is so regal, and the little tassels on the front and back at the waist are a remarkable touch. The train is also quite lovely, I just look like I'm draped in satin finery.
I am guessing that red was a favorite color back in the Renaissance era, as we have another wine colored creation in mesh, this time from Tamiron Forge. They are #009 in the hunt, and this generous gift includes the mesh dress, system layer shirts for 2 different neckline options (shown center and right), and attachments for the collar and sleeves. On the left I am showing just the gown without the shirts or collar or sleeves, so you can see the huge difference they make. You can also tell that without them, we still have a very pretty dress with some regal gold touches that can certainly be worn as is.
This is very close to the colors in the first two photos, probably because gold goes so nicely with all those shades of red and brown. There is no mesh here though, this prize from #018 Tayren's Fantasy Fashions includes a system layer top and glitch pants (Omega and Tango appliers included), flexi skirt, sleeve cuffs and double puffed sleeves, beaded French hood, high collar w/lace, and beaded necklace all shown. Not shown are linen socks, green eyes, fair European skin, sophisticated updo in blond or brown or red, and even a pair of shoes! Whew, that is an impressive list of goodies for one free gift. I couldn't resist the closer view of the necklace, which reminds me of a Celtic cross but the actual name of what it is seems to be escaping me.
Our last view for the evening is another mesh gown, this time from #042 Miss Darcy, who have provided a beautiful dress for when we are feeling more earthy, less royal. London Towne Gown has stunning colors and a terrific style, with the laced bodice and cheery colored layer beneath. As with most of the prizes in this hunt, there is a coordinating male prize so you don't have to worry about your favorite guy being left out!
Nail note of the night: I am sporting the newest group gift from Nail Me!, a gorgeous set called Indian Summer with 4 colors with a gold sunburst type design, and the same colors in a solid matte version for mixing and matching. The group is still free to join, so no need to hesitate.
I can't believe that I didn't get a bit of sleep before going out earlier, insomnia can make morning plans quite a challenge. I spent about 3 hours just lying in bed, wide awake but tired, trying to convince my brain and body that it was time for a nap. Needless to say, as soon as we got to the farmers market, I headed straight for the samples of iced coffee! It was a wonderful day though, and I hope you are all having a great weekend as well. Magical magpie hugs to each of you!!
