The Wash and Hocus Pocus
Hiya everyone! Tonight I am back with some more Wash Cart Sale finds, as their 10th anniversary celebration winds down but is still going strong this weekend. You have until November 1st, so a few more days to pick up sales items for $10L or $50L, free gifts, and even gachas for $50L or less per pull. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on the savings and the fun! I have visited at least a dozen times and brought Xan since there is clothing for the whole family, as well as accessories and home decor. Another exciting event that I am thoroughly enjoying just started less than 24 hours ago, Hocus Pocus...not the awesome movie, but the annual SL event where you teleport to each participating store, and say "hocus pocus" (without the quotes) in local chat to possibly receive a prize or be told to try again in 24 hours. This year we are chatting with Pumpkin McExtra, he is wearing fun shades and purple nose rings so he is easy to spot in each store. If he is feeling cranky and does not give you the prize, you can either try again (you should get several chances since this lasts until the 5th of November and you can try once every 24 hours) or you can purchase the prize for $50L. The HUD is available on the marketplace or at the office for free, and shows you a preview of the available prize when you click each store name.
First let's visit the Elgund&Nilsson cart at The Wash, where you can find these very pretty shirts and skirts that you can mix and match to your heart's content. My tops are their NIL - Kera Cornucopia on the left and NIL Kera Dahlia on the right, each available for $10L (other colors/designs too) and include system layers plus Omega, eBody, and Afrodite appliers. On the left I am wearing their NIL - Maia Pewter skirt, on the right is Maia Fuchsia, and each are $10L and include standard mesh sizes. These separates are ideal for many occasions, and can be paired with plenty of other items for variety. I can see wearing these shirts with casual jeans for example. Next we visit the Tiar cart at The Wash, where I have selected this bodysuit from among their wide selection to share with you. It is called Tiar Omega Rockbody, and you can guess that indicates that it is an Omega applier for this lovely look. The front has a geometric feel with the square neckline and crossed front straps, and the back is quite modest yet sexy. This applier is just $10L, a very nice price for a chic suit. It's time for Hocus Pocus! This great dress is our prize from Sorbet called Ava Dress [Spooky Edition] and includes Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. There is a handy HUD with 5 texture options, two of which you can see above. On the left, that does say Crazy BAT Lady, which made me chuckle :) As a future crazy bird lady, I am somewhere between cat lady and bat lady I suppose. Just visit Sorbet, find the pumpkin in sunglasses, and say hocus pocus to him to see if he will give you this terrific gift.
One last look of the evening, I also got lucky with the Pumpkin McExtra at Belle Elephante (that is not as naughty as it sounds...) where I won their Cutie Pumpkin nails. There are Maitreya and Slink HUDs included, featuring 10 different color combos with happy jack o'lanterns grinning at us from each. With all these bright hues, you can bring a taste of Halloween to any outfit and look amazing doing so.
I apologize for not blogging yesterday, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and run down from this cold or whatever I've been fighting. I left the house for the first time in a week, and had a delicious dinner at my parents' earlier, so I am starting to feel a bit human again ;) The cough will probably linger for a while, as they do tend to overstay their welcome.
