Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Uber Event for more wonderful gifts, as they are celebrating their 9th anniversary this round. The gifts are free with no group required, and most are at the event itself in gift boxes that have black and gold balloons tied to them. It makes them more visible and festive :) Other gifts (some of which I'll be sharing tomorrow) are at the designers' main stores, with the landmarks provided in the boxes I just described or a sign at the display that tells you to click. It might not be quite as busy now that the weekend is over, but just in case you can find camera sims >here< and >here< if the main one is full when you try to teleport there. From those neighboring regions you just use your camera controls and cam over to the main area, clicking all the gift boxes and grabbing any demos for items you might want to purchase. You can also do that purchasing from those alternate regions if necessary. I always enjoy helping to celebrate events in SL reaching anniversary or birthday milestones!
My first look is our gift from SPIRIT called Pika mini dress. It is crafted from striking stonewashed denim, and one of its straps dangles down beneath the left arm. We receive Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes in the gift, as well as a HUD with 2 metal options for the closures. I really like the distressed edging at the hem, like we've worn this so much that it is softened and extra cozy.
Next I shimmied into the flirty Qip Me Monogram dress, which is our free gift from small. This brand offers their own original mesh creations, so I believe this is also one :) The daring style looks to be modeled after a cheongsam or qipao dress, hence the name, with slashed opening down the side and a plunging back that makes for a view that I call peek-a-booty ;) The gift consists of sizes for Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD to hide or show the breast piece and to choose from 2 metal hues. Fantastic!
There are lots of separates among the generous gifts, like the [CAROL G] Luna Cropped - Black tube top seen here. It is elegant in its simplicity, since you can pair it with just about anything under the sun (or in your inventory) and it will look wonderful :) It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I matched it with the gift from .Safira. which is their Dolly Panties in two colors, each in two sizes. The white and rose pairs both fit Legacy and Maitreya bodies, and have the same eye-catching bow on the back that I adore! The slightly sheer texture adds even more sex appeal.
There is something about tube dresses that make me very happy, with my first thought being how easy it is to dress them up or down for lots of occasions. So I was delighted to unpack the Emery Panque Dress Berry gift! The bold stripes of black and wine (okay so that's like berry but boozy LOL) wrap around to snugly show off our curves, and we get sizes for Legacy and Maitreya mesh bodies. Now do I want to wear fancy shoes and jewelry for a more formal look, or flat sandals and simple accessories for a casual stroll around SL?
My final look of the evening is great for the waning days of summer, although our favorite season never has to end in SL...this is the LEROY - Vivi Bikini - White gift, and wow is it a fun treat! The top and panty are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. The top's straps wrap around the back very intriguingly, and the slight lopsided nature of the panty gives it character :) Just think - simple white can accommodate all sorts of colorful jewelry, shoes, tattoos, nails, just about anything you want to accessorize with.
Any time someone says "we need to talk, I have news and you aren't going to like it", it is normal for both the heart and mind to start racing, right? The speaker in this case was the housemate, who was informing me last minute (as usual) that the dreaded houseguest (their friend, we don't get along because he is a rude dingleberry) is visiting this weekend for the "biggest sports weekend of the year". And here I thought that was in February...really it's whenever they just want to sound dramatic and impressive. So I will be hiding in this very room for a few days, after a trio of busy days (Wednesday - Friday) where I test my agoraphobia and try to go places/do things. It's certainly not the end of the world, but not great for my health at this point (mental or physical) so I'm just going to try my best to have patience.
