Hiya everyone! Tonight's post brings us back to the pumpkin hunt at the Halloween SWANK Event round, with all gifts free to claim with your free SWANK group tag. These pretty pumpkins have the event's logo in gold on the front, carved so they are able to be lit from within by a glowing candle. Some are smaller than others and up high or down low, but mostly they are fairly easy to spot at many of the 200+ store displays. I always have a wonderful time visiting here, and deeply appreciate the generosity of all the designers.
My first look is a pair of treats from AnaSTyle that work well together but can also be worn with anything else you might have on hand :) Their Annalisa Orange - SWEATER is cut low and zippered in front, in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. It's a lighter hue than our Anastyle - Annalisa Orange - Pants gift, which made me think of persimmon even though I've never had one ;) These come in a similar set of sizes - Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I think that the Bombshell and Perky variations of the Legacy body are just for the upper torso though, so these would fit the same? Both pieces have a lovely sheen, and are flirty without being overly revealing.
Speaking of sex appeal, be sure to pick up this *ASIA* FLORENCE pink outfit when you want all eyes on you! The dress and separate sleeves each come in sizes for Belleza Classic, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, as well as the coordinated heels to fit Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn feet. The very pale shade of pink on the sleeves and center of the dress looks so pretty with the more mauve shade on the sides of the dress and our shoes. Anyone else think of Prince with those ruffled sleeve cuffs? Probably just me ;)
I can never resist a dress with a slit skirt, like this gorgeous [Mow] Miyu Dress Colors gift. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies provided, along with a HUD that offers 8 pretty colors. The fishnet waist inset is a great touch too, all very flattering and we can dress this look up or down with our accessory choices.
I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world...sorry for the earworm but the LUXE Paris BARBIEMANIA Womens Ensemble has got me singing! It starts with the brightest pink and purple strapless dress imaginable, plus matching boots, both in sizing for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Lara X, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Then we can add the BOM leggings which are a fun white floral lace pattern, and the heart shaped handbag that comes in versions with and without a holding pose. Also included but not shown - a blonde ponytail hairstyle that will also give strong vibes of our favorite fashion doll. It would make a really fun costume for Halloween, and we can easily wear it without the handbag or the leggings if our mood or personal tastes dictate so.
The final look tonight is a simply delightful gift from Malizia called Allison Dress 05. It's not the only gift I'd found from them either, so be sure to check all around both floors of the event :) We receive Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this cutie, with its bare shoulders and softly ruffled edges. If you've ever looked at something in SL (or a video) and thought "ooohh I wanna touch it!" then you know how I am feeling from looking at this ;) I've also got to compliment the color, minty and bright yet soft, perfect for any time of year.
Today felt like a weird whirlwind, so I'll try to explain as briefly as my verbose brain lets me...on the way to my haircut appointment, we heard a tire on my side making a weird noise. It was just 10 minutes to the salon, and he checked the tire while in the parking lot to find not one but 2 nails in the same tire. Good news - they didn't puncture the tire itself, just in the tread, especially reassuring since all 4 tires are brand new. Haircut turned out fine, my curls are back to life and my head feels lighter, LOL. Then all hell broke loose in the HKIA (Hello Kitty Island Adventure game) community as the company released info that the long-awaited update for all platforms other than Apple Arcade will be a paid DLC instead of the free addition we'd been told all along. This is a month after a $15 DLC area that was new to everyone, and of course the original expense of the (incomplete) game itself. The Apple Arcade people are taking the standpoint that they pay $10 a month to play so they spent way more than the rest of us, so they deserve it for free (there is no additional purchase price ever for that platform). The rest of us are pointing out that you get hundreds of games for that $10 a month, so you're not paying that fee for just this game like we would be. To make things worse, the company is limiting social media comments and removing any negative responses on discord, facebook, etc. which feels very dismissive. They know it's a crappy decision, and I think most people will decide against the extra expense. If I have to try to summarize: harmless nails in tire tread, haircut success, gaming drama that has many steaming, myself included.
