Hiya everyone! Tonight we're getting our grunge on with the Wasteland Event and their 2nd birthday round. As that so often means in SL, we are celebrating with lots of gifts, which can be found in black giftboxes hanging from dark chains at nearly every display. You'll need the free group tag for most of them, and a few are set up to buy for $1L but it is refunded immediately while the gift is delivered to you. I believe that is to create a record in their vendor system, so you could get it redelivered if you ever needed to :) Best wishes to Wasteland on their anniversary, and may they have continued success in this wild world of SL.
Our Galagher - Laura Shirt Edition 1 gift has some words of wisdom on it that I took to heart earlier. Those would be "Keep calm, and everything gonna be okay", in a circle around the image in the middle. The cropped long sleeve top is provided in Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and I'm wearing it with my favorite marketplace gift which is the Delizio jeans. You're about to see them a few more times too, so you can see why I find them so handy.
I got a kick out of our .Estus. - Mara Top - Fatpack gift, as there are 3 different feline designs you can choose from for the image on the front, or you can go with a solid color. All of these options are in 4 colors apiece for a total of 16 options, so you could wear this fun tee several times in a row without people even realizing it is the same free gift :) In addition to the HUD, we receive the shirt in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies.
There are a few excellent tattoos among our many gifts, so I spun around a bit here to show you the { aa } Atomic Tramp Stamp - BoM gift from anxious angel. I certainly identify with the brand's name ;) The gift includes 5 opacity levels - 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100% - so we can decide if we want it to appear freshly inked or slightly broken in.
I kept the jeans on for this next look, but I suspect it was meant to be worn alone ;) The CryBunBun - Daddy's Issue Top - Third Eye gift is provided in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a BOM alpha layer designed for each size which you will need to add to help with the cinched in appearance of the roped upper part of the top. The ropes creating a pentagram layered over the third eye image is such a striking combo, and there is just as much attention to detail in the back with the way the ropes have been knotted.
For my final look of the night, I am wearing the Stiff - Wicked Dress - Black gift, which is sure to put you in mind of this spooky season. There are Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes included, along with a HUD that offers 3 bones textures and 3 metals. So we can wear our bones white, white and bloody, or (not shown) black that looks almost charred and would blend in with the dress a bit more if it weren't for the fact that they are 3D and do stand out from the fabric. The metal choices are for the rear zipper, which I am now chuckling over the fact that the skeletal hands can't reach to help us with the zipper from that angle, but they sure can cop a feel! They're just providing some support, like an underwire bra but more spooky?
Whew, my day was a whirlwind and even more than I had expected! I managed to find time to prep for this blog post obviously, then got a little bit of sleep before heading to the podiatrist. That was painful for the anxiety and for both big toes, which both had ingrowing nails that needed removing (snip, pull, poke, all the fun) so they are bandaged and throbbing. While out, I got a text from my Hello Kitty gaming friend (we'd played together on Tuesday 'instead' because of my Thursday appt) who wanted to know if I'd have time to play with her when I got home because she obtained rare items to give to me that I desperately needed. Yay, bonus gaming together! That was unexpected but fun as always, but I am a little bit sleep deprived now so I hope I made sense throughout this post. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to dinner at my parents', and then the weekend will be here before we know it :) I hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
