Hiya everyone! For tonight's post I visited several different stores whose designers are a part of the Fashion Mesh group. It is free to join and is a handy source of details on new releases and special sales at these stores, in addition to gifts from several :) Those are what I'll be showing you here, gifts to reward us for being a group member and stopping by each store to browse around. It's funny, I've joked before about how so much of SL fashion is black clothing, and by some odd coincidence most of the treats I found for this group are in fact black. If that speaks to a Goth side of you, or a formal 'little black dress' seeking aspect of your fashion personality, these gifts may really float your boat :) Just look for their signs with the logo of black silhouettes of several models against a grey backdrop with the group name written across.
My first look is the very flirty ~Rany~ Valentine Black gift. This dress starts with two straps that both go across the left shoulder, then a gathered bodice leading to a wisp of a skirt where many views leave nothing to the imagination ;) That means for most places you wear it, a nice pair of panties will be necessary. There are sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Signature Alice mesh bodies.
Vivacious Inc. is another great place to visit with that Fashion Mesh tag active, although it is just one of several groups you can find a gift here for :) This terrific treat is their ::: VInc. ::: Leather Dress "Madi" - Black/Red, found under a staircase where you'll see lots of gift boxes and group signs. The dress comes in eBody, eBody Reborn, Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. The bodice has a leathery texture with silver riveting on the left side, all above a bright red tulip style skirt for a hot color combo.
Just a quick hop away on the same sim/region is PiNK CHERRY, with a similar build that makes it easy to find the gifts in a matching location by a staircase. The Fashion Mesh gift is called .::PC::. Laced Dress "Lynn" - Black GG, and I was intrigued by the way both fashion uses of the word "lace" make an appearance. We have the light open fabric in the neckline, and the lacing like shoelaces down both sides of the front :) The back is solid black which actually provides a fun contrast to the intricately detailed front. We receive sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies in this generous gift.
I also visited .::BE BOLD::. and was delighted to find this Group Gift #4 as our Fashion Mesh treat. The top and skirt are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. Did you notice that the skirt isn't solid black like the top? There is a subtle deep red floral design on that itty bitty mini skirt, just right for the playful ruffles without being overly girlie.
My final look of the evening is the exception to the accidental black theme, instead being a striking glittery gold beauty :) It is the RAVENA DRESS by BA Store which you can find upstairs at Black Angel with all the other generous gifts for various groups, so be sure to peek at those (and your list of groups) too. This gift consists of the main dress and an 'up' and 'down' so two separate ruffles, all in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. I had a bit of a derp moment and failed to locate the Maitreya down or lower ruffle while taking the photos, but realized belatedly that yes it is genuinely in there :) Please forgive my little booboo and take it as a sign that we can wear this versatile dress in various ways while still looking incredible.
Whew, this week just feels like it is off to a strange start for me, and I have no idea why. I was just chatting with my mom about some family stuff, members of the family I never met so it is a bit over my head. Her dad was the youngest of 9 siblings, all of whom were married with kid/s, so you can see why I never met most of the extended family. One of the great-grandkids contacted my mom through 23andme, wanting more information about his father's family who he seems to be estranged from. That in itself is not uncommon, and I know my dad had a distant relative reach out too a few years ago. My mom contacted another relative to see if she wanted to answer the other relative's questions, but was told no; it seems the other cousin wants nothing to do with that part of the family. The young man still wants to meet up with my mom, but I can't tell yet if she is considering it or not because she has nothing to tell him and it would just be out of politeness to satisfy his curiosity I suppose. I'm not sure she ever even met his father. Oh well, my swirly brain aside, I hope you're all having a fantastic day/evening with many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
