Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm helping Belle Epoque celebrate their 8th birthday, and how do we traditionally do that in SL? That's right, with presents for everyone! This year we are looking for very pretty cakes (round, single layer) which distribute a gift on touch, no particular group tag needed. I found a total of 12 of them, which included 2 from Belle Epoque and the rest were from their friends/fellow designers. It brought back fond memories of previous birthday hunts here, and I am already hopeful that they will plan a big bash for their 10th next year :) I'm always impressed by the longevity of some brands and events in SL, and enjoy the opportunity to congratulate them by spreading the word about their milestones.
Naturally I had to start with the birthday brand itself, so this is one of their two prizes called Belle Epoque - Fleur GIFT. This incredible gown has poof sleeves, sweetheart neckline, and impressively full skirt adorned with two large bows on the front. The rich green hue makes it suitable for many different times of year (Christmas/Yule, St. Patrick's Day...) so if you want to turn heads at a formal event, this will surely help. There are sizes for Khara, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies included.
Our other Belle Epoque prize is their Kimmy GIFT dress, which is quite a change of pace from the first one while being equally beguiling. The pale pink slip dress has petal-like openings in playful places, gathered by a ring at the bodice and tied with a bow at the hemline. Find this cake and you'll receive Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this sweet treat.
Faida has a gift that will also help us feel pretty in pink, their charming Zuby candy dress. There are sizes for Khara, Kupra, Kups A, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies provided. The neckline and hem are both trimmed with wide lace, and there appears to be built in panties for a touch of modesty. The knit texture looks so soft and touchable!
I also found a fun gift from Candy Kitten called *CK* Nostalgic desire dress TARTAN RED. The one-piece layered sweater and dress comes in eBody, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, along with a HUD that offers 2 colors for the sweater and 3 for the 'furry' which is the poofs at the end of the shoulder straps both front and back. the heart shaped cutout on the sweater is a fun touch too, as is the slightly raised hem on the left back side for a bit of a cheeky flash :)
For my final look of the evening, there is a prize I simply couldn't resist showing off to dress up your fingertips :) These are the poema - Stars Manicure mesh nails, in sizes to fit Belleza, eBody, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Signature Alice, and Slink mesh hands. Simply hide the nails with your body's HUD, add the corresponding size from this folder, and then add the HUD so you can choose from 6 different manicures for all 10 digits at once. I've layered 2 images together to show you two of the 6 choices, which I think are a good sampling and will also help you see the length and shape quite well.
My day took a few unusual turns, well more like my evening...my dinner at my parents' was cancelled from something that cropped up last minute, all is well and it was not my anxiety (for once LOL) but I was hoping to discuss the upcoming holiday a bit more. Key points can be talked about via text of course, or a phone call if things get too tricky.
