Hiya everyone! Tonight we look at the flip side of the season with SL Syndicate and their Anti-Valentines Hunt. It's a free gridwide hunt in which we are looking for hearts bound in barbed wire, and I would describe the participating designers as alternative fashion and decor. The landmarks and number of prizes at each store are on the website, and generally there aren't hints but I did see at least one at a store in hovertext on the sign. The signs do have an image of the hunt object, and let you know that the hunt is open until the 18th so we have over a week left to find these generous goodies. If you love Valentine's Day you will still probably find treats that you enjoy, and if you're sick of the mushy stuff then I think you'll feel right at home in these terrific locations.
For my first look, we have 2 of the 5, yes FIVE generous prizes hidden at FurtaCor! The :::FurtaCor:::ANTIVALENTINE HUNT:::TOP BLACK is a cropped turtleneck whose sleeves come down to the elbow, with an image on the front of zombie heart hands with Happy Valentines Day between the wrists and Horrific FX to the left. It includes Khara, Kupra, Kups, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Petite, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh body sizes. Then the :::ANTIVALENTINE HUNT:::PANTS BLUE bring some sass with their pattern saying things like "Cupid is Stupid" and "It's not me, It's You". These fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies.
Next I changed into two more of their prizes, starting with the :::FurtaCor:::ANTIVALENTINE HUNT:::TOP WHITE. It comes in the same sizes as the first look I shared, but this one has a familiar masked face holding a Valentine for us ;) The :::FurtaCor:::ANTIVALENTINE HUNT:::PANTS PINK may have some colors of this time of year, but the sentiment says "Anti Valentines Club" among broken hearts so we won't get the message confused. They also say Cupid is Stupid, and Queen of Ghosting, which for some reason cracked me up :) I obviously have a longtime valentine in my life (Hi Xan!) but I've still got emotional scars from years when I did not or was in a bad relationship place. So I know how it felt and I even still can get tired of any holiday when people get carried away. Bring on the post-holiday candy sales!
My new FurtaCor pants came in extra handy so I could share some of the 5 wonderful treats from SHE SAID DESTROY as well :) SSD. Anti 1 on the left above says "You Make Me Puke" surrounding an old fashioned Cupid image, and SSD. Anti 2 on the right has a broken heart in between the words "You Break It You Buy It". What would the going rate be these days on buying a broken heart though? I think the brokenhearted would deserve a nice shopping spree in their favorite SL stores, ohh and maybe a new mesh body to have one untouched by the heartbreaker! That is not a threat, LOL, just random Friday night mind wanderings ;)
Same great store, SHE SAID DESTROY, but this photo has two more thoughtful prizes :) Before I forget to mention, all 5 tops are designed to fit Legacy and Reborn mesh bodies. SSD. Anti 3 looks pretty in pink, with a message "Self Discipline is a form of Self Love". On the right I slipped into SSD. Anti 5, a black tank with two hearts with tiny writing which reads "Hopelessly devoted to an idealized version of you". I'm laughing because I heard the song Hopelessly Devoted To You just a few hours ago, just randomly while listening to a 70s station. The cupids on this shirt are right that people can easily wind up infatuated with who they want someone to be, rather than who they truly are.
Finally, the heart at Petrichor holds their stunning :[P&E]: Coriane Dress - Mothika prize. It is beautifully crafted with plunging halter neckline, daring side slit, and is lined in crimson to match the red beads strung all around. The embossed moths are delicate and lovely, don't you think? The dress fits Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Mounds bodies. As a special bonus, there is also a chair included (not shown) that matches the dress fabric and coloring, with 21 individual poses so you can have a seat while looking regal.
Time for a Friday happy dance :) It's been quite a week, and I am ready for a Saturday of rest before a Sunday of therapy. It makes the weekends a mixed bag here, lol, but I will try my best to remain positive. Hockey game tomorrow evening, that's usually a good time, and I am still watching the housemate play Paleo Pines most days. I wish this game would catch on the way Animal Crossing did, as it is fairly similar and extremely cute. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
