MGSN Christmas Gift Train

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I get to be a tour guide for the MGSN Christmas Gift Train, which is now an annual tradition of the MGSN or Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News group. It is free to join, and that group tag entitles you to year-round goodies at many participating stores. But as you can see, once a year we get bonus benefits with these amazing limited time offerings :) You'll want to check group notices for a notecard named after the train, and I believe the most recently updated card is from the 17th. This has our landmarks and photos of the prizes, and they are all completely free with that group tag active. I started from the top and chose some random ones, but there are just so many that I'd love to do several more posts of them if I had unlimited time ;) This is always an intense month with an overload of treats to share, as I'm sure you can tell. To help you find the gifts, I recommend looking for a sign with a train on it, which is near most but not all of these goodies in the stores.

My first look of the evening comes from [Aleutia] and is their Sol Romper - Violet gift for us. There are lots of great details, like the fabric has tiny sparkles that are hard to photograph but you can kinda see itty bitty silvery specks? There is a HUD included to turn the sparkles on and off, adjust the transparency with 4 options plus off for solid, and the HUD also offers 36 colors each for the bow and tie. The bow includes the belt, and the tie is the slender strand that loops through the front and is tied in the back above the belt. Our romper is provided in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. 

Next stop, .::BE BOLD::. for their adorable and seasonal Rockabye gift! The top and shorts have a great pattern with deep red trim, and each fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The gift also includes the plush penguin you see here, with a built in hold pose and a cute Santa hat.

It really was a coincidence that I found another purple gift to share, but I'm also not mad at it ;) The !APHORISM! - Lucy Dress - Plum Ltd Ed is a formfitting mini dress with long sleeves and fun cutout to show off cleavage. She is included in sizing for Classic, Classic Dainty, Curvy, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that lets us pick from 12 colors for the trim (sleeves, neck, and hem ruffle) and turn the built in panties on or off. 

Our gift from Belle Epoque is their sweet Kandy - Pride outfit, several layers all linked into one piece for ease of wear. There are Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes provided. The boldly striped sweater has pretty black hearts, trim, and a long black bow to match the tee beneath, and the skirt is wrapped and ruffled for even more lovely details. I'm a firm believer in pride clothing being perfect for all year long, as a reminder to the community that they will always have my support :)

For my final look, I couldn't resist another visit to Blackstone (yes, I shared an Advent gift from there yesterday) to grab their gorgeous Kareen Dress - Cherry gift. It is just past the Advent tree actually, so you can also click the current date's gift while you're there and get 2 gifts at once :) So this charming mini dress has lace insets on both sides, and metallic trim on the bust, edges of the lace, and studs on the straps that cross above the bodice. It comes in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD with 6 metals to choose from. The S shapes of the insets make us look even more curvy, just accentuating our figure perfectly!

I've got a busy day ahead with an early appointment, so I am trying to get this post ready as quickly as possible :) As of right now I do plan on posting tomorrow evening, but just in case please forgive if it doesn't work out and I have to wait until Friday night to return. FaMESHed is Fantastic

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading back to the FaMESHed 9th anniversary round for a few more wonderful group gifts. The group is free to join, and most of the designers are offering a gift in pretty gift boxes at each display. There is a variety of offerings both for sale and among the gifts, so I hope you enjoy browsing and shopping as much as I did. 

First we have the [Aleutia] gift which is their Chiara Tank Top - FATPACK. It has double straps (for double the fun!) and comes in sizes for Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 36 colors to choose from as well as on/off for glitter and several transparency levels. The glitter is subtle and difficult to capture in a still image but I strongly suggest turning it on just to see if you like it :)

Meva is also offering a gift for FaMESHed group members, their Sue Dress Fameshed Gift 21. It includes Maitreya and Maitreya petite versions, and says "That ain't cool" on the frond with a cap-wearing skull in red and blue. The back has been playfully shredded, with horizontal slits stretched across for peeks of skin. I must have old school wrestling on the brain because the back reminded me of Hulk Hogan's shirts, and the front made me think of Rowdy Roddy Piper's movie They Live with the sunglasses and skull. 

Next I changed into the M.NA Elena Birthday Dress which has neon colored bats and stars on a dramatic dark backdrop. The gift comes in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizing to fit popular mesh bodies. The vivid colors really caught my eye, while the bats make me think I will be wearing this again when Halloween season arrives.

Maybe you prefer something more sunny and cheerful, then how about this lovely gift from Seniha, called Maddy Dress // Yellow? There are two versions included (v2 is with polka dots as seen on the right above) and they are each provided for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I think of the style as a sundress because of the ruffles and layers, which makes the sunshine shade of yellow even more appropriate. 

For my final look of the evening, I am wearing two of the three versions included in the Ghoul gift called Iroe Play Dress - First Love. The main color is a delicate pink which is the 'solid' of the 3 versions: dark (black), mix (both, right above) and solid. Each of these come in Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya sizes, which all have that sheer black fishnet panel on the rear. I like the way the mix version provides contrast, a bit of edgy flair with the softness of the pink shade, so for today's mood that would be my choice. 

It has been a long day, and fairly busy, but I am ready to relax in SL later so that is a positive thing :) I wasn't feeling well earlier (stomach) but that is calmer tonight, for which I am very grateful. The next several days will be quiet in some ways, but that will give me time to do a few things in SL that I really need to like sorting my inventory. I think my folders and categories are too general so the folders contain too much, and I'm sure there are ancient items that can be deleted as well as some duplicates. Happy Anniversary FaMESHed

Hiya everyone! Tonight we get to help FaMESHed celebrate their 8th anniversary, which is an impressive accomplishment for any event in SL. Their designers are known for creating original mesh products, whether clothing or jewelry or home decor to name just a few categories. How do we celebrate anniversaries in SL? Well that's easy enough, free group gifts from nearly all of the designers in addition to the usual multitude of special selections for purchase. Just join their free group, and with that tag active you can click any of the white gift boxes tied with teal ribbon at each display to claim their present. Unpacking all of these treats was like a holiday or birthday, maybe both combined! The event is open until the 27th of May, so if you already have your whole SL weekend planned do not worry, there is plenty of time.

This dress definitely caught my eye with its unique styling and gorgeous emerald green color. It is the gift from Valentina E. called Demi Dress Green, and has been created for the Maitreya mesh body. There are two zippers, a tiny one in the back and a wild diagonal across the skirt, beneath the single collared side and peaked strapless half. This is sure to turn heads wherever you go!

Time to get flirty with the gift from *Vanilla Bae*, their Yves Dress - Mini Ombre Pack. Inside you will find 3 versions of the dress (PG, Adult, and Off Shoulder) each in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing. There is also a HUD with 3 colors for our ombre, two seen above plus a pretty green. The adult and off-shoulder versions have "strip me" scripting, so you or someone you give permission to can click the dress and use the popup menu to reveal your body in three stages. The adult bares one breast then both breasts before removing the dress completely, while the shoulder baring one slips off one shoulder, both shoulders (as on the right above) then totally removed. The PG version does not contain a strip script at all. There are notecards included for you to read the instructions in case you forget by the time you claim this, so no worries.

[ LsR ] has a terrific treat for us too, their Sexy Isobel Suit 3. It consists of the shirt and skirt each in two versions, all sized for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. There is also a HUD for the buttons with 42 colors to choose from, like the pink seen on the right above to bring out the pink pattern of the skirt, and bright white on the right for added visibility. The styles are loaded with sex appeal, from the barely closed sweater to the extra short skirt with low waist and slit on the thigh.

Next I slipped into one of my favorite pairs of jeans from Delizio, the white pair from their marketplace gift that includes several colors in system/BOM layers, Maitreya appliers, and Omega appliers. They needed a top of course, and the FaMESHed gifts provided :) This is the !APHORISM! group gift called Joonie Top Lavender (Ltd Ed), and it comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies. There is also a HUD to choose from the plain or patterned textures, both of which you can see above. They are each charming, and would look terrific with a skirt as well as your favorite pants.

For my final look this evening, I chose the -Pixicat- Tony Cardigan (Tan) to wear with my Delizio jeans. There is a top included too so you can wear the cardigan with or without that added layer, and both top and cardigan are provided in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing with a HUD to tint the top either black or white. The wide neckline of the cardigan draws attention both to the cleavage and upward to our neck, so I decided to show off an accessory :) The choker is the [Aleutia] Hayden Choker Fatpack, a leather band with a slender strip of tartan fabric affixed to it. The HUD provided offers 10 tartan choices plus 6 leather colors and 2 metals, so you can mix things up to match or contrast anything you wish to wear it with. I went very matchy-matchy on the right, LOL, after being playful with pinks and purples on the left. I can see this being a very useful addition to any wardrobe.

It was an enjoyable day here, with the exception of the rainy weather most of the evening, but I did have dinner at my parents' as usual for a Friday and I showed my mom the Animal Crossing game. She can see why it is so popular with people who are stuck at home, and asked lots of curious questions which I happily answered. My dad even peeked at the museum when we were looking at the fish exhibits :) I helped her finish a jigsaw puzzle, and we made our plans for picking up the farmers market order tomorrow and doing a facetime visit with my grandmother on Sunday for Mother's Day. It stinks not to be able to be with her, but it's absolutely what is best for her safety so I am at peace with it. So those are my weekend plans, and I hope all of you have something enjoyable and relaxing planned :) Many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Shop and Hop is Gleaming

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am delighted to tell you about the Valentine's Shop and Hop event, where you will find over 80 designers in 4 romantically designed sims who are all offering discounted merchandise along with free gifts. Tonight I will be showing you some gifts found on the Gleaming sim, as I personally just find it simpler to sort them by sim and show you one at a time so you know exactly which landmark to follow. I am mostly focused on fashion, but there was a sweet companion that caught my eye too :) The event just opened yesterday and runs until the 23rd of February.

My first look is the [Aleutia] Eileen Dress (Maitreya) Special Valentine's Edition, a sweet mini with fluttery skirt and pretty hearts adorning it. As the name implies, it is sized for the Maitreya body, and will look nice with your favorite shoes, perhaps white or pink? 

Next we have a beautiful gift from Gabrielle Hamelin, their {GH} Spring Bliss Sequins Gift. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass, with a HUD to adjust colors for the materials. The HUD gave me an error message when I added it, but I saw mentioned in many groups (and on plurk, etc.) that SL was being weird with scripts this morning so I would guess that was the reason. I didn't necessarily need the HUD since I like the way this looks just as it is :)

Does the romance of the upcoming holiday make you feel a little bit sassy? If so, this gift from Faida should be perfect for you :) It is called It's Not Me, and comes in a Maitreya mesh body size in a soft pink shade. The front reads "It's NOT ME it's you" with the NOT ME across a darker pink ribbon, and there are a few small hearts on the design too. The cropped style with short sleeves add to the sass too, while the pastel color keeps it from being overly edgy.

United Colors has a pretty dress for us, their UC_Cupid_dress_red. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with a handy HUD to make this extra sexy. You can choose from 7 colors for the top and bottom sections in the middle (the main dress stays that pretty red) with options to make them sheer and to turn materials off or on. You can even hide those triangles in the middle, top or bottom or rear (the back is designed like the front with a wedge shaped panel) and turn the collar on or off. That is a lot of variety!!

For my final look of the evening, I added a friendly little companion, the gift from KittyCatS! called I LOVE YOU! Angel 2020. It flies around chasing the pink heart that says I love you, and one flank reads "I love you" as you can see above while the other has a heart and arrow on it. There are plenty of great details to appreciate here, and I think you will enjoy seeing him/her in person when you claim this thoughtful gift.

It was a pretty good day here, with a nice visit to my parents' for dinner where we looked through some old pictures and had some laughs. It was a stroll down memory lane for sure :) I have a busy Saturday planned as usual, and I am looking forward to it since I'll get to see some awesome people and pick up tasty treats. SL Frees & Offers Goodies

Hiya everyone! Tonight I explored to find group gifts for SLF&O, which is short for SL Frees and Offers. They have many participating designers who offer gifts for SLFO group members, and I am excited as always to show you some of these generous treats. The group is free to join, so your linden balance will be unharmed :) Although a nice way to thank the designers is to look around each store and start your month out with some new purchases. 

This entire outfit is the gift from AnaSTyle, called Erya Zebrine. It starts with the sexy dress, in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine fits. It also comes with the necklace, bracelet, armband, diadem (on the forehead), and anklets so you are accessorized from head to toe. Funny story - I initially followed an old link to this store, and wound up in a crowded nude beach where I was the only female avatar. My brain instantly quoted Tina Belcher, there's a lot of carrots in that stew! A quick search helped me find the correct sim, and I was extra careful to link you to the current store location :) The outfit was worth it!

Next I visited 1 Hundred. to claim their duo of SLFO group gifts, Weekend Mini in Berry (shown on the left) and Taupe (right). Each sailor style dress comes in standard mesh sizes as well as 3 fitmesh sizes which are numbered 1-3 so I suggest just trying each on to see what fits you the best. I really appreciate the colors chosen, and how pretty is that sage shade mixed with the taupe?

Aleutia is offering this fun Carmen swimsuit as their SLFO group gift, in a Maitreya mesh body size. It includes a fantastic HUD that lets you customize this completely, with 30 color choices each for the top, bottom, waist, straps (on the hips), and accent trim. Just think of all the possibilities! 

Albino Peacock currently has two different gifts for the SLFO group, one of which is this eye-catching "Carmen" Dress. It is provided in standard fitmesh sizes as well as Slink Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. The texture is a lattice of lacework and boldly colored embroidery, completely sheer between so surprisingly revealing. I might try layering panties or a bikini bottom beneath if I wish to wear it somewhere G-rated.

Our other Albino Peacock gift is my final look of the evening, their "Ona" Dress/Shoes/Bag. The dress actually comes in two versions called 6 and 6B, both shown above, one with darker denim top and the other with more faded pinstripe denim and white trim. Each comes in standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink fits. The bag matches perfectly, and so do the heels, which come in Slink High and unrigged versions. 

The next several days are going to be sheer chaos here, celebrating a family birthday twice (Thursday and Saturday, mostly different people each time) and having a houseguest for a long weekend. I am excited about the new month since it means new rounds of events and hunts, I just won't be ready to explore them right away. Finding Autumn Leaves

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring more of the SLFO Hunt, and as you can tell from the title we are looking for orange autumn leaves. These are free gifts for all who locate them, and you don't want to miss out on prizes of such high quality! Many generous designers are in our hunt path, and the signs say the hunt ends on the 18th but the website says the 25th. I am not sure which is correct, so I urge you to get started if you haven't already. Their website is a handy source of locations, hints, and information on which stores should be skipped. The prizes I will show you tonight range from quite casual to very elegant, to highlight that in this hunt you are sure to find something for any occasion.

My first look is our prize from [Sexy Princess] called Corfu Top & Skirt. It has such fun straps and a zipper on the back of the top, and a rich texture on both pieces. The gift includes standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions.

[Aleutia] has a lovely gift hiding in their leaf, called Logan - Meerkat. It is a silky dress and an infinity scarf, each in a Maitreya size, with a HUD that lets you pick from 10 different textures for the scarf. The cutouts on the upper arms are a fun contrast to the long sleeves and warmth of the added scarf, and since the dress and scarf are separate pieces you can wear them together or apart.

I can't decide if this is more of a maroon or a burgundy, but either way it is certainly a beautiful gift from Just Ordinary. It is called Susan Dress RR, and comes in 5 standard sizes plus 5 fitted standard, along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The lace of the top is very sheer, so depending where you decide to wear it, you may wish to layer some pasties beneath.

Here we have another terrific prize with colors in the crimson family, this time courtesy of A&J Creations. Their Paulina Dress Mod A comes in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes (5 classic, 5 fitted, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink) and has such terrific details as a daring side slit, lacy trim, and gathered satin. 

My final look of the evening is a casual delight, the prize from StormCrow Design's. The crop sweater and jeans are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, with the ankle boots in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High versions. There is even a HUD included for the sweater that lets us choose from 10 heathered shades, two of which you can see above. This is such a comfy looking outfit, yet subtly flirty with the bare belly and high heels of the boots. 

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...but it's not really time for Christmas carols yet. our snow was followed by sleet that added up to dangerously icy road conditions, and my little neighborhood alone had at least a dozen accidents within an hour. That is the aspect of winter that scares me, since people either forget to use the right tires or forget how to drive. Swank Spooktacular Goth Hunt

Hiya everyone! I visited the Swank event earlier, and was really pleased with this month's offerings which include a Spooktacular Goth Hunt. You will be looking around their large showroom for black roses, which with my windlight settings looked more like dark gray, purple, and a dash of deep red thrown in (gorgeous either way!) which are set for sale for $0L. There are a few dozen scattered about, not just at the designers' displays, so keep an eye out and enjoy. I even went on the scary ride and explored the haunted house at the end.

You will surely turn heads wherever you decide to wear this prize from (BYRNE) called Liz Dress-Crimson Spooktacular. It is included standard mesh sizes, and as you can see there is an impressive amount of detail to this style. I completed the look with another prize, the shoes are from GHOSTYSS and are named Carrie, with a rigged pair and a non-rigged so you can edit it. I'm wearing the rigged on Slink high feet and they fit perfectly.

[Aleutia] has two versions of their Akasha dress in Charcoal tucked into their hidden rose, and each comes in standard sizing plus a fitted version. I blogged them for the Wash Cart Sale last month with various colors of this same stunning style, as a matter of fact :) For some added zing, I chose to accessorize with the prize from Heartsdale Jewellery, their [HJ] Radiant Ruby Set. This consists of the striking choker and earrings I am wearing here, and like so many of these gifts it works beautifully for the season without being limited to it.

Here you see another terrific prize, this time from [MUSE] and their Enchantress Gown. This elegant beauty is provided in plenty of mesh sizes (standard, fitted, Freya, Isis, Venus, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP) to fit just about any body, and just look at that lace design. It looks terrific from the back too, with that brief train and the gently crossed straps.

Speaking of crossed straps...our gift from Selene Creations is called Lilith 2 Orange, and as you can see there is a very eye-catching harness of straps here that form a pentagram which is ideal for the season. When you find their rose, you can claim this gift in standard mesh sizes.

If you have noticed flashes of color on my nails and wondered about tonight's manicure, well good news! They are the gift from Luna Body Art and are called Black Cat Slink Nails HUD. You will find 10 different colored backgrounds on the HUD, so your lucky black kitty will look sharp no matter what color/s you decide upon. By the way, yes I do consider black cats to be lucky rather than unlucky, as my best friend has had a few solid black cats who have all been wonderful companions for her.
