Hunting at The Free Dove

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to The Free Dove, where there are two terrific mini hunts this month. LYBRA and Chop Zuey are our esteemed designers who each have 10 generous prizes, 5 in The Free Dove location and 5 at their main stores. That makes a total of 20 free gifts you can find, all with either the Free Dove group tag or in LYBRA's case, a free store group tag. LYBRA's gifts are hiding in tan paper bags folded down in the front, and the Chop Zuey hunt object is a white dove with its wings spread out gracefully. Now there are many dove decor items at The Free Dove of course, so be sure that it says Chop Zuey in the hover text and is clickable so it can distribute your gift. The sign in The Free Dove has a notecard for you when you click it, and that will explain all the details about the hunt with photos of both sets of prizes. Be sure to look inside and out, upstairs and down, as it is a big place but well worth the effort :) Each store has 2 mens' gifts and 8 ladies' prizes.

My first look starts with a gift from Free Dove that is on the LYBRA display table rather than a hunt prize, their lovely Malena Top Fatpack. It comes in Freya, Isis, and Maitreya sizing, with a 20 color HUD for plenty of versatility. I needed it to go with the sexy mini skirt seen here which is the LYBRA Free Dove Hunt Prize #2. As one of the first 5 it is found at The Free Dove, and is provided in sizes for Alice, eBody, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya bodies. As for my jewelry, it is one of the Chop Zuey prizes found at Free Dove and called Pretty Saro Demi-Parure Gld & Slv. It is their prize #1 and consists of gold and silver versions each of earrings and matching necklaces. 

I must admit, this shirt made me laugh! It is the LYBRA tshirt don't FREE DOVE HUNT #4 prize, found at Free Dove and provided in sizes for Alice, Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. It says "Don't be a" then an eggplant emoji, commonly used to refer to a male body part. I paired it with a hunt prize from the LYBRA main store, LYBRA Ana IRIS FREE DOVE HUNT #10. The iris purple color is a beautiful one, and this gift includes Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. You may have noticed that I added bracelets too, those are the Chop Zuey - StarCrossed Brcs - TxChnge prize found at The Free Dove. They are provided with a HUD offering 32 choices which are 8 different colors each with 4 metals. 

I kept the Ana leggings on and changed into the LYBRA. MAE FREE DOVE HUNT #5 prize. This one is at the Free Dove, and comes in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. My avi looks like she is dancing for joy through the freshly blossomed flowers that go so well with the floral outlines on the sweater. 

Another prize that looks great with the Ana leggings (LYBRA #10) is the LYBRA. Jisoo FREE DOVE HUNT #7 prize found at LYBRA's mainstore. The uniquely styled halter is provided in Alice, eBody, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizing, all in that gorgeous shade of pink. 

My final look of the evening is the LYBRA. Maria FREE DOVE HUNT #8, a very pretty strapless dress in a pewter grey shade. It includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya bodies. I really like the sheer dotted border atop the bodice, and the way the gathered fabric is drawn in at the waist to accentuate curves. I was delighted to add another Chop Zuey prize to complete the look, called The String Expert Necklace - TxChange. It is their prize #5 so it is found at the Free Dove store, and a HUD is included with 10 colors each with 2 metal options for lots of variety. I chose green to mimic the springy grass beneath me :)

My day brought some bad news, so I am not quite myself...my best friend of about 30 years lost her husband this morning. He was battling cancer, so I would say another warrior's battle has ended against that evil disease. She is heartbroken of course, and I want to hug her so badly that it hurts my soul. I was in their wedding party 23 years ago, and will always have fond memories of his easygoing nature and playful spirit. On a happier note, I will be showing you some LYBRA store group gifts found at their main store tomorrow evening, so please stay in that group if you're interested. Time for Shinies

Hiya everyone! Since I had been watching weather forecasts and looking out my window all day, I considered what would be a good way to brighten up a dreary day. So I visited Free Dove and found that one of their monthly mini-hunts is the SL jewelers Chop Zuey. That fit the bill for sure, cheer things up with some sparkly gifts! There are 8 black boxes from Chop Zuey hidden around the Free Dove building, 4 for the men (square boxes) and 4 for the ladies (rounded boxes like hat boxes) and they are a decent size so they were not too difficult to find. It is enjoyable to roam around Free Dove while searching for their hunt prizes, since everything on the main floor is free. It is a wonderful resource for new residents and longtime SL'ers like myself, since you can pick up excellent quality freebies as well as find new favorite stores to visit if you like what you see from a vendor. Upstairs they have sales events and I noticed there are gachas up there now too, how fun! I do not recall any of the hunt prizes being upstairs this time around though, I usually check anyway.

My first look is their lovely set called The Snow Dance Demi Parure, consisting of the silver and diamond necklace and earrings I am wearing above. I love the setting with the look of a starburst, and their jewelry all contains a resize script to allow you to adjust it if need be. 

Another smart set to be on the lookout for is their Love Knot Pyrite Set, whose earrings and necklace feature such pretty hearts as well as love knots in silver. Same resize script, same attention to detail. This one is a bit of a bolder look, which can really suit your mood or outfit of the day.

I am a big fan of bracelets, and this beauty is another womens' prize at Free Dove called To The Daisy Moonstone Bracelet. The varied stones and delicate flowers, along with that swooping shape, make for a really intriguing piece of wearable art. That is how I tend to view my favorite jewelry in RL and SL by the way :) 

The fourth of our 4 female prizes is Chop Zuey's charming Blue Love Bangles, which can be worn together or separately. There are 3 labeled A, B, and C, and the primary one (worn alone in the inset) is A. They all have that handy resize script too. I am not certain if the stones are blue topaz or aquamarine, one of those lovely light blue gems that can really perk up an outfit.

One last look of the evening, I thought you might want a better look at the sexy dress I picked up for free at Free Dove to wear for this post. It is from {Chaotic} and called Little Black Dress, and includes sizes for standard, Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP along with the matching shoes for Slink High. You don't have to hunt for this, just browse the shelves labeled Womens Clothing. I also snuck in one of the mens' prizes, one of the classic Cantique Bracelets. There are left and right versions inside the prize, and I made good use of that resize script to reduce it about 30% so it fit my wrist better. I love the bold squared links, they manage to be rugged and elegant at the same time.

The storm did not hit my immediate area as badly as anticipated, so I am relieved that all is well and we just have the usual plowing and shoveling to be done. Twisted Jewelry Treasures

Hiya everyone! Most of the prizes I've shared from the Twisted Hunt have had necklines that would not have showcased necklaces to their full advantage, so I found one that would and decided to make it a jewelry night :) There are some lovely gifts here, so I hope you enjoy.

Let's start by talking about the clothing that is the base of all these photos tonight...this eye-catching lingerie is the prize from +Facepalm+ (#56) and is a system tattoo layer shown (yes, seriously, that's just a tattoo LOL) with a mega HUD that offers appliers for Belleza, Slink, Omega, Eve, and Maitreya. This first set of jewelry is the Twisted Odyssey Gold/Onyx Jewelry Set from Secrets of Gaia who are #1 in the hunt path. Find their cube and you will receive the necklace, earrings, bracelets, crown, and tiara you see above. Note about the tiaras, there are two versions and the one shown in the inset is the smaller front whereas the regular one is more like the crown from the main photo in size.

Next we have a bold set from #10 Chop Zuey called Chains of Calypso. This prize includes the necklace, bracelets, and earrings you see here, each with a built in resize script. These beauties are wonderful for when you want your jewelry to make a statement.

Necklaces galore! Chaos, Panic, & Disorder is known for their generosity in hunts with several prizes for each, and I find they have a great attention to detail. They are #19 in the hunt path and actually have 7 different prizes, 3 of which are shown above. The main photo is An Offering to the Shades for women (the mens' is another hidden prize) and looks like an elegant potion bottle. The inset shows the Lotus Eater Necklace for women on the top and Polyphemus Choker for women on the bottom, each of which have a mens' version hidden somewhere in the store. I am loving the antique look of the gold for all these necklaces! I knew that Polyphemus was a cyclops so wasn't entirely surprised by the creepy-cool eye on that choker, and I'm familiar with the Lotus Eaters story, but the Offering to the Shades is eluding me as to its origins. 

My last dazzler of the night is prize #29 from Spyralle, their Odyssey Necklace. They specialize in fractal patterns and you can see that works very nicely with the ocean waves of the necklace. Since the theme colors are a suggestion but not a requirement, it is fun to see a pop of bright color, too.

My nail note of the night is another Twisted prize, #74 from DP - Koffin Nails Fat Pack - Greek Deco. I know you can't see them in most of the photos, so stay tuned and you'll be seeing them again and closer soon :)

Womenstuff Lounge Group Gifts

Hiya everyone! While thinking about various sources of freebies, it hit me that I hadn't yet visited the Womenstuff lounge to pick up their group gifts there from a wide variety of designers. Now there is a $50L fee to join the group, but I assure you there are plenty of gifts to more than justify that cost. In the 2 sections of Womenstuff groups at the lounge there were over 60 gifts currently, so that breaks down to less than a linden each :) I had joined a few years ago when they had a free hunt that required the group tag, but the past few rounds didn't need the group. Let's take a look at a small sampling of what you can find, shall we?

This is actually two different gifts that look fantastic together. The dress is from YoKana and is called Rachel, a tunic skirt with a rose pattern on the top. The alpha is mentioned as optional, and the top is slightly sheer so I am actually wearing it without it. I'm going to highly recommend you wear your favorite pair of panties with this ;) I paired it with the beautiful Natalle Gold Garnet Jan Necklace from LUMINESSE, and as a RL January baby I can appreciate this even more. I used to find that many less expensive garnets took on a muddy brown hue in RL, so I was delighted to see this fiery blood red shade! This necklace has a built in resize script which I did use to shrink it a bit.

Posh Pixels has a flirty maxi dress called Helena for us at the lounge, and I've blogged similar styles before but never tire of this intriguing look. The sweet floral print makes me look forward to spring already.

As there are several gifts of jewelry at the lounge, I decided this dress should have some accessories :) The dress is *AS* Tangerine Floral, with attached belt. All the jewelry you see is our gift from Chop Zuey, a set called To The Daisy Grey which includes a necklace with 2 add on chains, earrings, 2 bracelets, and a ring for the right hand. All include resize scripts, and I quite like how the earrings and ring are smaller versions of the design featured on the bracelets and necklace, tying everything together beautifully.

Here we have a very playful dress from LOoLOo Designs, their Tagg'd Dress with the cute zipper all the way down the front and the graffiti-inspired print. I can see this as a perfect choice for a night at a club, or maybe doing some shopping.

Our last glimpse is another sassy little dress, this time from M&M and called Krystel Dress in red. I love the design with the heart surrounded by pearls (just a texture, not 3D) with the snowflake inside. Like all of the dresses I've shown tonight, this comes in several mesh sizes so you can find a great fit. 

No nail note tonight as I went with the Slink default HUD included with the hands/feet. I hope the small fee for joining the Womenstuff group doesn't put you off or make anyone disappointed with tonight's post, as I have the best of intentions and it is a relatively small investment compared to many group fees (I usually see between $250L to over $1000L which I could never bring myself to pay) and there are dozens of gifts awaiting. You can always go look around and see what you think, the group join boards are right by the gifts.

More Advent Treasures

Hiya everyone! It's been another busy morning, gathering beautiful Advent calendar gifts and preparing to share them with all of you. There is plenty to see, so let's get rolling!

Today's gift from SOIR is this appealing Lil Snowflake Camisk in Red, which comes in several mesh sizes and includes two sizes of matching leg warmers as well. I really like the pattern as well as the color, and would even consider wearing this with leggings instead of the leg warmers for variety.

Today the KittyCatS Advent Calendar gave out two gifts, and one of them is this adorable sweater by Somnia called Flurry Specials. It comes with a HUD which provides 6 color choices, I'm showing you three but I really like them all. You may have noticed the pretty earrings I am wearing, well Chop Zuey has started their Advent calendars which run for 12 days and have one for their paid VIP group and a free one for all of us. These Starry Night Earrings are the free gift, with such a delicate pattern for a bold size earring. 

If you need a fancier outfit, how about this beauty from Emerald Couture? This is their Stephanie Outfit in Wheat, and includes the dazzling dress you see here in a surprising number of sizes, including 5 rigged sizes, 5 fitmesh, plus Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya versions. Don't forget the terrific matching shoes which are also included :) As for my lovely jewelry, that is the other KittyCatS advent calendar gift, which coincidentally is from Chop Zuey like the earrings from the previous photo. This time we have their Heart & Soul Texture Change Set, which includes the necklace, earrings, and bracelet on my right wrist. The HUD has a resize feature along with 12 colors for gem 1, 12 for gem 2, and 4 metal choices. I do love versatility!

Speaking of versatility, the Advent gift from Entice today is their California Dreamin' Dress which comes with a HUD for 3 texture choice and two belt colors. The asymmetrical hem is a flirty touch, and the textures are wonderful! You will need a free group tag for this one (right click the box and pay $1L to be immediately reimbursed) or you can pay $25L if you're out of group slots. 

I have two different pairs of eyes to show you today, the first being the pair I wore in all the previous photos. The top half of this picture is today's Advent gift from Dulce Secrets and they are called Transcendental Silver Eyes. They come in system and resizable mesh versions. The bottom half of the picture is today's Inkheart gift for us, their Beauty Eyes in Pale Blue. Both pairs are so striking, aren't they?

Free Dove Hunt - Chop Zuey

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am sharing prizes from the third Free Dove Hunt featured this month, this time Chop Zuey is our designer and there are 8 hidden boxes with 4 female and 4 male jewelry prizes in total. I am excited to show you the female prizes :)

First we have a delicate beauty, the Les Petits Fleurs Demi-Parure found in prize #1. Ever inquisitive, I googled "parure" and discovered that it refers to a set of jewelry, a full parure being more like what royalty would own with matching brooch, tiara, rings, the whole shebang; a demi parure is usually just a few pieces, like this one which includes the necklace and earrings. The included texture lists the details as Andesine Labradorite and Diamond in white gold.

This cheerful set is gift #3, Chaconne set in mixed beads and gold. I really like the color combination, and this set comes with the necklace, bracelet, and earrings all shown. 

Our next set is found in gift #4, and is called A Special Grace Blk Set. It includes the necklace, bracelet, and matching earrings with black spinel (a type of gemstone similar to a ruby but which comes in numerous colors) and set in palladium. Again I owe a debt to google for providing me that information as I initially thought the word spinel was referring to the shape rather than the gemstones themselves. Learning is awesome! :)

Our final female prize is a gorgeous pair of Love Entwined Ear Cuffs, found in gift #5. These feature white, pink, and brown diamonds set in gold, and like all Chop Zuey jewelry they have a built in resize script. I did have to adjust them for my (apparently smaller than typical) ears, which was pleasantly simple to do. The ear cuffs are lovely, aren't they?

Instead of showing off more than just jewelry, hehe, I decided it would be prudent to wear a dress that would be a suitable backdrop for the prizes; pretty but not distracting with no straps in places that would interfere with necklaces for example. This is the Nira Drape Dress from Hilly Haalan, in black and red, and is available for free right there at Free Dove along with the hunt prizes :) I think this serves as a beautiful reminder that there are gifts at Free Dove every day of the year, not just in the hunts I post but all over from a wide variety of designers. Great for the guys too, I know their freebies are harder to find and there are a slew of goodies like skins and shapes for them, all free!

Nail note of the night: I stuck to one of the alaskametro hunt gifts from Free Dove, their "Chromed" nails, in one of the hidden pink purses I blogged yesterday. I wanted something that would act as a neutral but still have some zing to it, and their range of metallic pretties was just right.

WOMENstuff Hunt Treasures

Hiya everyone! Most of you are probably familiar with the very popular WOMENstuff Hunt, full of talented designers and generous gifts. For the entire month of September, you can visit 150 of those designers and find a red t-shirt for either $0L or $1L for some truly wonderful prizes. So far I'd say the majority chose to go with $0L, so I will mostly be showing you completely free gifts from the hunt.

First up tonight, we have some beautiful monochromatic gifts that show you don't need bright colors to catch attention. The dress is from Fi's Creations (#031) and you will receive both the white and black versions shown, in standard mesh sizes. The jewelry is courtesy of Chop Zuey who are #004 in the hunt. The set is called A Special Grace, and includes the necklace, earrings, and bracelet all shown.

It includes the top, skirt, and boots for Slink high, with plenty of different sizes included so you can find the best fit. There is also a system layer pair of panties included, since that skirt is remarkably short that it is a good idea ;)

Back to formal, this gorgeous gown is from Mariposa, who are #012 in the hunt. This Iridescent Satin Bandage Gown is a stunning color, comprised of a mesh skirt and top in standard sizes, along with the left and right flexi skirt pieces. As you can see, it looks great with or without the flexi! There are also fitmesh gloves included but not shown.

The last look of the night is the LYNN dress from Anin a Gris, who are #036 in the hunt. The autumn colors are quite lovely, and I accessorized it with the gift from #011 Stars! That includes the Fall Leaves necklace and earrings shown, with a closer look in the inset so you can see the detail. I love the each leaf is a different artistic style, yet they all work so well together.

Nail note of the night: I located the t-shirt at #043 Pink Cherry and was excited to find their Wings exclusive nail polish HUD. There are several different colors of a wing design on black backgrounds.
