Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some prizes from The Advent Chase Hunt, which is a free gridwide hunt that involves searching for various colored candles. They have color coded the candles so female prizes are in pink candles, male prizes in blue, and unisex or male/female in same prize are pale yellow. There are pictures of the candles on the website as well as a listing of each store and which color candle to look for, so you can choose to skip stores that aren't offering a relevant prize to your personal avatar. I really enjoy the way this hunt is organized, with such helpful information before you even arrive at each stop. I'm also enjoying those terrific prizes, as you are about to see!
There is a pink candle hiding at Mishmash Fusion, and when you find it you get to claim this lovely Leave in Silence Mini and Heels. The dress comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, while the heels are included in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High versions. It always makes me smile to visit there, from the amusing decor to the great quality merchandise. Be sure to check out the lucky chairs and midnight mania boards near the landing zone, you just might leave with extra goodies.
This eye catching ensemble is our prize from Lune Bleue called Queen of Frost Dress. It includes fitted sleeves, a fitted top, ice wings, and the beautiful skirt which is internally lit to show off the winter scene inside, and it poofs snowflakes as you can see. You will need to alpha out the legs of your mesh body, or for classic avatars just wear the alpha layers provided. This is truly a stunning look.
To look ravishing in red, just find the pink candle (there is a blue one too for the guys) at ~MystRie~ and you will find their Stars Dress inside. It is included in standard fitmesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. The off the shoulder ruffle is a pretty touch, as is the side slit.
I definitely felt like a princess when I saw myself in this fantastic prize from Sparrow by Design! It is their Gardenia Gown, with lovely flowers scattered on the skirt of the gown as well as part of the soft pattern. It is included in standard fitmesh sizes and a Slink fitmesh size too, and honestly I think it would make a stunning wedding gown. There is a blue candle hidden here too, so bring your favorite male avatars here too.
One last look for the evening, this is our prize from PreCAST Inc. Fashion and is called LeeLou Skull Edition outfit. The jacket and skirt each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes, while the tank top beneath is an Omega applier. If you do not have an Omega-compatible mesh body, I'm sure any similar shirt from your inventory will look fine, or change things up by trying a different color or style. That distinctive motorcycle styled jacket has a classic appeal, and it is playful when teamed up with a flared mini skirt.
I am running so late tonight, since I was busy with cooking all evening and just finalized a plan or two with my mom about an hour ago. As usual for Christmas Eve we are gathering at my grandmother's, then Christmas Day at my parents' house. Hiya everyone! It is time once again for some peeks from The Advent Chase Hunt, along with some generous Advent Calendar gifts. The hunt is free and gridwide, when you visit each store you will be looking for candles color-coded for the type of prize they contain: male, female, or unisex in blue, pink, or pale gold respectively. The website lists which are hidden at each location, along with being our source for URLs rather than landmarks in the prizes. The advent calendars, I have been sticking to ones that do not need a group or need a group tag but there is no fee to join their group. For my first look, I went nontraditional yet still with a Christmas feel. The outfit is our gift from BLACK&WHITE, and their gift includes the outfit in system layers along with a TMP applier and a HUD that is just called BW Gift, I was delighted to see when I added it that it was a HUD for Belleza, Maitreya, and Omega. The shirt says Don't Stop Believin', and the back has some really cool details with those tiny straps. The comfy looking shoes are included, Slink and Maitreya versions (flat feet) along with a pair called Static. These might work for default avatar feet. As for the tree beside me, it is our gift from PreCAST Inc. called Wooden Deco Tree and comes in small, medium, and large sizes. The one with me is the small, so these would do well outdoors where ceiling heights are not a problem :) The modern style is quite fun, I appreciate traditional too and even more so the opportunity in SL to change between styles on a whim/.
If you have somewhere to go and want to look seasonally alluring, Miss Jewell has this delightful outfit hidden in their pink candle for us. There are system layers along with appliers for Maitreya, Belleza, and Lolas (good thing I am wearing my Maitreya body today instead of Slink) and the fur sleeves, collar, and skirt. You will definitely turn heads in this beauty with the plunging neckline. In the inset, you can see a closer look at today's eyes I am wearing, which are our hunt prize from Inkheart called Merry Eyes in Denim. There are also two other colors, Melody (light green) and Sea (very pale blue) and each comes in system or mesh, 4 sizes each. These have a strong contrast between the main color and the ring around it (I feel like I read that's called a limbal ring) so their light shades are quite appealing.
From the Advent Chase Hunt to advent calendars...this lovely top is the gift from Lemonade Couture, their Amie Cardigan in standard sizes plus Maitreya, Slink, and Slink Hourglass versions. The slightly contrasting colors and patterns ensure it is not your grandmother's old cardigan. No group needed for this Advent calendar. My playful necklace is from Eclectic Stars, another great calendar with no group tag required to claim your gifts. This is their Cubism necklace in Puzzling, their take on the classic Rubik's cube that challenged so many of us in our childhoods and beyond.
Here we have another festive Advent Calendar gift from Moonstar, this is the *V* Xmas Tree Dress and it is included in standard mesh sizes. The ruffled layers of the skirt do remind me a bit of a tree, and the pattern has some lovely trees along with snowflakes and polka dots. No group needed, just click the right date and this gift is yours.
Here is what Hello Dave has waiting for us, just wear your free group tag and you can claim the December 9th hud for Slink and Omega. Today we have some very delicate blush shades with tiny flakes and hanging decorations on them, along with that truly stunning accent nail which has a burgundy tip scattered with snowflakes too. You can choose any you wish for all 10 nails, or mix and match as I have done here in order to show them all. Another winning design from our generous designer.
Today should be a good one for me, an enjoyable evening with family is always a great way to end a busy week. Tomorrow I have my usual plans plus several hours' extra plans, enough that I will be shifting my post to the night time and featuring hunt prizes rather than Advent calendar goodies so you don't have to worry about seeing something you want but only having a few hours before the date changes and the next advent gift is out instead. There are some other really nice free gridwide hunts taking place right now, so don't worry it will be an enjoyable post :) At least I hope so!
