Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to share some FabFree group gifts, as I have done before and will surely do again in the future because there are so many terrific designers who offer them. The free group is the in-world presence of the FabFree or Fabulously Free in SL blog, a mainstay that has been inspiring and guiding residents for well over a decade. I personally have been a faithful reader for just about my entire second life, and their group has a permanent place among my precious group slots. With your tag active, you can claim a bevy of generous gifts by visiting various stores, like the places I am featuring tonight.
First stop, GeMyles where there are several gifts for various groups upstairs. This FabFree gift is their Malissia Set, a sassy look that is also quite versatile. The top and skirt are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, while the open toed shoes will fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. There is also a HUD included with 32 color choices for the outfit including shoes, with another 32 for the waistband that also tints the bow on the side. So sexy!
I also stopped by KaraBaby, where I found not just one but two FabFree group gifts that are still available from July. The dress is simply called FabFree Gift - July 2020, and includes sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. Then we have the FabFree - July 2020 BonusShoes, wedge sandals for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. I really enjoy the black background with white and gold flowers and golden belt, the color combo really pops!
CURELESS[+] has added a beautiful mini dress to their group gifts section for FabFree members, and it is reminiscent of their previous gift (blogged here) that is thankfully still available if you missed it :) This is their Cassiel Dress GIFT, alight with shimmery holographic texture and dramatic deep neckline. It comes in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite bodies. Despite being called Cureless, this store's gifts can certainly cure any boredom caused by dull clothing.
Next we have the charming [WellMade] gift for FabFree, their Sura Dress. This brief wrap dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing. There is also a HUD included with 2 striking ombre versions to choose from, both of which you can see above. It reminds me of cotton candy, and finding something this pretty for free is just as sweet as the candy.
My final stop of the evening was :.C!L.: where I claimed their FabFree gift called Nancy Frill Top & Scrunchies Set. The top has a vibrant triangular pattern, and comes in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. There are also two scrunchies, the one for the left wrist and one for our hair (not shown) that are both unrigged so you can edit them and adjust wherever you wish. I simply was not wearing hair with a ponytail to hold with a scrunchie, so I will leave that fun one to your imaginations :) It does match the pattern of the shirt and wrist adornment. I paired the top with my favorite Delizio jeans in blue, one of the many colors in their marketplace freebie that are provided in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega.
It was a fairly pleasant day here, and I enjoyed my dinner with my parents so that made it even better. The weather will be a little bit cooler tomorrow, so I am going to the farmers market for the first time in ages. Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood to see some of the plentiful new gifts for the FabFree group, which is the in-world representation of the Fabulously Free in SL blog. I am a longtime avid fan and follower of the blog and member of their group, which is free to join (of course) and like the blog will provide information on sales and special events in addition to gifts. It is always useful to know where to find helpful tips like that, and having them organized in one easy to find place is a huge plus. So to claim all of their group gifts, you will need the "I am Fabulous" group tag active, which in itself is a fun motivation to join ;)
My first look starts with the FabFree gift from Mangula, called Isla Set Sweater [Blue]. It comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. You can find it near the main entrance, to the left as you walk through the door with some other groups' gifts. Obviously I needed a bottom half to my outfit, so I chose the Entice - Never Surrender Pants - Set 2 Fatpack which is on sale at the Designer Showcase this round (until the 28th). If you love variety then this is a perfect choice, as there are 8 individual colors for sale for $99L apiece (regularly $200L each) and then the Fatpack has all 8 plus 2 bonus colors for a total of 10, then the HUD lets you color the main pants plus the waist, loops, pockets, and trim individually. The fatpack is half price too, $299L instead of the $599L regular retail, making these very affordable. I went with a single color for all the parts here, but kept these pants on for the next image...
Those Never Surrender Pants from Entice look great with the FabFree gift from Baby Monkey, their BM Sleeveless Shirt Floral. Their vendor system does require you to pay $1L but it will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered, so yes it is still free :) The pretty blouse comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and will pair nicely with whatever you choose.
My next stop was [Vips Creations], where I was recently to claim their Stay at Home Club gifts, but tonight I was all about the FabFree gift called Green Rose Fab. It starts with the embroidered shirt in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies plus a fitted version for classic avatars, then continues with pants in system/BOM layers along with an Omega applier. The strappy sandals are included too, fitted for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. I didn't do this intentionally but I am enjoying the greens and florals of tonight's gifts, especially with Earth Day starting in mere hours.
Continuing with the beautiful earth tones, we have the gift from Artizana called Nansi VI - Blouse + Leggings. Right click the sign and pay $1L, which will be refunded automatically while the gift is delivered. This one piece outfit comes in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and has a built in belt of the same fabric as the poofy sleeved blouse.
My final look this evening comes from CURELESS and is called Hekate Dress Holo. This shimmering mermaid gown has a low cut neckline and dramatic back with a lovely train, provided in Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, and Maitreya sizes. Hekate is the Greek goddess of magic and witchcraft, which is fitting since this texture is truly magical!
It was a fairly average day here, and I am fine with that :) I prefer almost boring days to the kind of excitement that happens lately, more like stressful situations. People in my state were protesting recently that they want things reopened and all restrictions lifted, but I am on the side of those who are focused on being protective of at-risk loved ones. One woman had a sign saying that she wants her hair cut, well that will never be more important than staying safe and alive. She must not have anyone in her life who is more valuable to her than a haircut, and that is just sad. I am happy about Earth Day and its 50th anniversary, since there are positive things we can all do to help the environment and improve the world around us, even during this pandemic.
