Hiya everyone! Tonight once again I am thrilled to share a few glimpses of the many bargains to be found at the Wash Cart Sale, whose current round has a theme of Indian Summer. It is a bit warmer where I am than usual for September, so I can relate very well but would enjoy these amazing offerings regardless. The hunt I am currently working on, and sharing prizes from, is the Renaissance VI Hunt which is a free gridwide hunt starting at a charming Renaissance Fair. These may sound like drastically different ideas between the cart sale and the hunt, but each offers plenty of charm and opportunity to explore new areas, new stores, and amazing shopping.
My first look is actually two, but both found at the same cart at the Wash, that of Daisy's Closet. I felt very feminine and flirty in both the Vallium Dress in Cherry Blossom on the left, and the Hyacinth Romper in Butterfly on the right. For just $10L per outfit, each is provided in 8 fitmesh sizes including Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, and each style is offered in other colors/patterns too. Perhaps you are in the mood for something in more of a teal or aqua color, then Luziefee has a charming Gladys dress that might be right up your alley. This is Gladys 2, just one of six colors on offer at the cart sale, and they are $10L each for a pack of standard sizes. The delicate lace collar and the long sleeves are just right for the cooler days ahead, while the breezy skirt will ensure you don't feel too covered up. I combined two hunt prizes to come up with a truly regal look here. The gown is from Whymsical Marketplace (#014) and this is their gorgeous Queen Marie Antoinette Gown and it is included in standard mesh sizes. I love that collar! There are matching shoes for Slink High hiding under the gown, that same stunning blue shade. I accessorized with the lovely Drakenshard Necklace from ~*W I L L O W*~ in their Ladies version, the mens version is also provided in their free prize. They are stop #005 in the hunt, and create some really eye-catching jewelry so I always enjoy visiting there. Be sure to say hello to the handsome reindeer out front of the store.
For something a bit darker, a visit to #017 Tayren's Fantasy Fashions is in order. This is their Necromancer Sorceress Costume (there is also a Sorcerer for the gents) and includes many components along with a notecard detailing the history of necromancy which I found quite interesting. The hooded gown you see here comes in standard mesh sizes, and the horns, bone necklace, and skull candle staff shown are included as well. Included but not shown are a fair skin, a shape, a pair of slippers, and tintable hair that works well with the hood.
One last look for the evening, these are the beautiful nails I've been enjoying today from the Dark Knight Decor cart. Just $10L gets you these fantastic Bohemian Summer Nails for Slink. As you can see there are 5 colors on this HUD, each with the exotic lace design, and you can mix and match to your heart's content. Whew, it was a very busy day here that included two different farmers markets, one of which had a classic/antique car show for the last time this year. Hiya everyone! Earlier I had the pleasure of exploring the Medieval Fantasy Fair '16 and finding many hidden swords for their Mini Hunt which is right there throughout the fair displays. The setups are gorgeous by the way, first a walk through high vaulted ceilings decorated with dragons and eerie statues, then at the end of that huge room you head through a door to the crypts below. Most of the displays and swords are down there so don't miss that part of the trip :) Besides being a visual treat, you get to claim many free prizes that include a mixture of clothing, accessories, and home decor. Tonight I get to show you some of my new treasures!
First we have a lovely white dress from the sword from [FAIDA] which is their Marilyn dress. Standard mesh sizes, exemplary take on the icon Marilyn Monroe's style. I am wearing one of a few terrific crown prizes with it, this one being our gift from Tamiron Forge. Forest Crown * Unisex reminds me of a Game of Thrones (Baratheon) crown with the stag horns, but with the detailed grapevine and delicate bunches of grapes that simply add another layer of natural beauty.
I couldn't resist sharing the other crowns I found, since we all deserve to feel like royalty from time to time. On the left I am enjoying the prize from Tayren's Fantasy Fashion, their TFF Queen's Crown with Emerald and Citrine. This comes in a King's version as well, and is resizable. On the right you can see the adorable {Acios} Crown - Female on a slender headband and jauntily cocked to the side. It also has a male version inside, and you can resize this one as well. Quite different but equally fun ways to be royal!
Our gift hidden in the sword from BPd includes this lovely dress and the flowery crown! This is their Whispers of Summer Maiden and is provided in standard mesh sizes, in a rich velvety eggplant color, gathered in all the right places and laced up the front. The crown is an ideal topper for this fantastic outfit.
I do enjoy seeing the artistic talent that goes into jewelry making in SL as well as the clothing, so I couldn't resist sharing these stunning sparklers from the hunt. On the left you can see the gift from Zuri Rayna called Lotis Necklace in Boulder Green Onyx and Copper. It has a resize script built in, and is a true statement piece in the best sense. On the right, I am happily sharing the amazing Drakenshard Necklace from ~*WILLOW*~ in their Ladies size, you will be pleased to know there is a men's version as well so your dragon loving male avi friends can appreciate this gift as well. The black cord complements the pendant itself as well as being a great match for any outfit you wish to wear this with.
Hair note of the night: as you may have already heard, Magika is having a summer sale with all of their styles at 50% off, so hurry to get big savings! The sale runs until the end of the month I believe, and I recommend picking up the demos from the Marketplace so you can make your selections at home where it's not crowded or laggy. So far I chose this adorable Beans style, a big updo that includes a version with and one without a big bow. The color HUD for the hair also has a few (5 if memory serves me) colors for the bow so you can adjust it. The sale is only in the store, not on the marketplace though, so be sure to do your final shopping inworld.

Hiya everyone! I thought I would wrap up my posts on the Renaissance Hunt V with a look at some of the amazing jewelry that can be found on various stops in this hunt. I was thinking about it yesterday when I mentioned how much I enjoy seeing SL jewelry and how detailed it can be, and knew there were several prizes I could share, so this post is a look at the sparkly and elegant gifts to adorn our necks, ears, fingers and more.
First we have a lovely crown by ~*W I L L O W*~ which is prize #017 in the hunt. I also had the pleasure of showing you all 5 women's necklaces from Chaos, Panic & Disorder! who are stop #039 and have several decoys out, but never fear as each decoy contains a variation of the prize necklace. In the main image I'm wearing the Balaurul Necklace in Ruby, beneath are Blackened, Sapphire, Fire, and the original main prize. In the upper right corner I am showing you the men's version in Ruby, and that can be found in all 5 matching colors in the various decoys. CPD is very generous with their hunt prizes, and I'm really fond of these necklaces with their Asian flair.
Allow me to introduce the Collar of the Queen, part of prize #026 from Never Ever. The gift includes the gorgeous necklace you see here, along with the matching ring in the inset (which reminds me of the royal engagement ring) and a 2 part Collar of the King, not shown. I do appreciate that most of these hunt prizes include goodies for both genders :)
Buccaneer's Restorations (#064) have provided prizes suited for males and females as well, but as both of these are indicated as the female prizes (the male gift isn't shown) I am wondering if the smaller one is designed for a child avatar as well. The smaller necklace shown is the Elizabeth I Miniature Lady's Carcanet, and the larger one is the Lady's Locket. The men's gift is called the Courtier's chain, and there is even a version without a chain so you can use it for just about anything. These even come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Queen Elizabeth :) We must really be treasured subjects to receive this from her!
Store #024 in the hunt is Thistle Moon Designs, and they are taking part in a mini hunt by Antiquity that is an optional part of the main hunt, but I highly recommend it as the earrings shown above are the mini hunt prize. The Pearl and Emerald Necklace are part of the main prize and are accompanied by the clever Gold Renaissance Hiding Ring that will open and close upon clicking. What will you hide in yours?
If you would like to offer your guests a luxurious beverage, Kittycat's Creations is glad to help by giving you prize #005 A Fine Tray, which as the notecard explains will give your friends (or yourself, I have tested it) the elegant goblet of wine they choose by clicking, and it will vanish from your tray while being offered to their inventory. Fancy wine was all imported and quite expensive in that time, so only the rich had such a luxury. The wine choices are Cadiz Wine, Clary, Muscadell, Sack, and Wormwood Wine, which were all available in that time according to their research. They also have a prize at their other location, which offers mugs of ale, so if you find that goodie you will be able to offer something a bit more down to earth.
Instead of a nail note of the night since they aren't really visible in any photos, I will mention that I am wearing the same outfit I did for yesterday's blog, prize #062 from Peckbeth Clothiers. It is a lovely mesh gown and comes with a matching hat and slippers, not shown. I'll credit it under photo #1 instead of all 5 photos, but you get the idea.
I had a fairly hectic day so I'm running late, and thinking I deserve some major retail therapy after an unusual amount of stress. Hiya everyone! I'm still slipping my way through the Silk Road Hunt, finding some really innovative stores and a veritable goldmine of historical treasures. Allow me to show you some more goodies...
Here we see two different prizes, the beautiful toga and the majestic throne. The toga is from store #056 AdelleArts and comes in standard mesh sizes, and I am truly taken by the crisp linen texture which looks as though if I touched it, it would tickle my fingertips with its rich weave. I am seated upon prize #053 from [Park Place] and enjoying one of 10 female sit poses, there are also 9 male poses built in. Please excuse the poor editing of the shoes, included with the toga and meant for default feet, which I tried to fit to my Slink flat feet but I see a pinky toe popping out the side.
This pose made me chuckle so I just had to share it...this is the Roman Garden Chair from Zoe's Garden #052 with 14 sit poses, this one just happens to make me look like a bored and sleepy child ;) I love the marble texture, and the tassels on the fabric are a great little touch.
For more breathtaking beauty, this necklace from WILLOW is sure to catch your eye! Aptly named Blue Nebula, this is a welcome addition to my inventory and will be worn with as many outfits as I can reasonably match it to. I may go back when I have more lindens to see if they offer it in other colors, or have matching earrings, it's just that gorgeous.
A bit of explanation, when I reached store #064 in the hunt, Mountain Rose, I was surprised to discover that it hosts a 26 prize mini hunt. I cannot possibly show you that many prizes, hehe, and considering that some of them contained about a dozen pieces of furniture or several individual costumes, it would take me the rest of the month (the time frame of this hunt) to give you a fair glimpse at everything you'll receive if you find all 26 pyramids. Instead, I'll give you a couple of peeks and the heads-up that pretty much everything you see while exploring the landing area, can be found in one of those gifts! We've got Roman and Egyptian themed items, from army tents and weapons to Cleopatra's palace and bedroom with all furnishings. In the above photo, you'll see a stunning Cleopatra throne (love the peacock feather pattern on the seat!) and those guardian Bastet statues are built in. My costume is one of the several you'll find, Cleopatra Seductress, and includes the system layer top (PG version shown, sheer also included) and undies, skirt, snake bracelets, winged scarab necklace and earrings. This can be found in #20 of the mini hunt, the throne in #12. Now the crook & flail I'm holding is a separate gift, #18, and the pose to hold it is built in. I really love that, as I remembered from a trip to an Art History museum a few years ago that the crook and flail was a symbol of the Pharaoh's authority. Cleopatra simply must have it then :)
This photo honestly makes me laugh, as my initial intention was to show you a better view of the arm guards I'm wearing which are part of the very detailed Hatshepsut costume from prize #13 in the mini hunt, but my pose winds up looking more like my avi is pleading for mercy after being caught playing in someone else's closet! I had to google to find out that Hatshepsut was a pharaoh with a very long and prosperous reign, remarkable for a female in her time. My costume seems to be as one of her soldiers, and includes the breastplate shirt (system layer) and a solid purple shirt not shown, underpants, helmet, arm guards, belt, Legionaire cape, and toga bottom with or without armor (with is shown). This is for adult female avis, there are also male versions and all in other sizes as well.
Whew, this was quite a post! I'm eager to get this posted and do anything I can to take my mind off that Game of Thrones finale...I watched it on my tivo a few hours ago, despite the internet making sure I knew almost everything to expect.
