Trick or Treat Lane

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some treats to show you, quite literally, thanks to the Trick or Treat Lane event. This is the 5th round of the annual tradition, and every participating designer is offering an exclusive sales item as well as a trick or treat gift. Some are treats and located in the bag out front of their display, others are tricks where the bag is hidden somewhere within their booth. It was great fun to visit, and I am always impressed by the way the region is decorated for the spooky season. Many designers have other offers, some of which are discounted for the duration of the event, which is open until November 1st so you have ample time to explore and visit as many times as you wish.

My first look of the evening is the striking gift from Senzafine called Evanora - ToTL Haunted. It comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The blending of blue into purple then black is perfect for the night sky, and the bats are a lovely seasonal touch. The high-low hem and flared sleeves also serve to flatter our curves. 

1313 Mockingbird Lane is ready for Halloween with their Burtonesque Jacket/Skirt, a gorgeous combo in black and white with golden trim. Each piece is rigged to fit the Maitreya body, and can be worn together or separately as you will see in the next couple of photos. There is also a HUD included to show/hide the panties that are built into the skirt. I decided the neckline deserved to frame more than just cleavage, LOL, so I added the charming Arachnes Necklace w/Resize gift from Oubliette. It has a family of gemstone spiders crawling around the silvery web, and you can just give it a click if you wish to access the resize scripting.

I kept the 1313 skirt on here but switched tops to the gift from JR Wolf Creations. Their Hallows T Shirt is decorated in several different occult symbols, all in a silvery tone that looks terrific against the black backdrop of the shirt. It is provided in sizing for Alice, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. To add a touch of color, I went with the treat from CELESTE which is their Spiked Hoop Earrings, although I did it a little differently than one might expect ;) The gift includes a purple pair and a green pair, so I wore one of each to allow you to see both pretty hues. 

The 1313 skirt got a little more use, as I wore it again here with the zOOm - Hunted Sweater. Their gift includes Freya, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with cropped hem and extra long sleeves to balance against the cowl neck. The contrasting textures coordinate quite nicely, and do have a seasonal feel that I appreciate. I also am appreciating the tasty treat from Petrichor, their :[P]:- Geobeat Cookie [Halloweenies] seen in my left hand. It has a built in hold pose as shown, and the lines of icing remind me of wireframe. The heart shape looks so pretty with the ombre of orange to purple icing, on a dark chocolate cookie.

For my final look tonight I started with the gorgeous gift from Viki called Faith. It features one of my favorite color combinations, purple and black, and has a rich, beautifully embroidered texture. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing to fit a wide range of bodies. With the bare shoulders and low neckline, I decided it deserved to show off the equally pretty CHIMAERA - Valentine collar - Rainbow Noir. So many dazzling colors in the heart pendant, I think you will find it goes well with nearly anything you wear it with. I was also intrigued by the gift from Secret Oktober, which is the *SO* Skulls n' Roses Mask I am wearing. It has a resize script built in, so you can adjust it to fit your face just right. I also couldn't resist sharing a closer view of the nails I have been enjoying in all of these images, the treat from DP Koffin Nails called FatPack - Pentacle Moon. There are 6 designs, 3 colors each with a mirrored version, and the fatpack means you get Maitreya, Omega, and Slink appliers. Each has fingers and toes compatibility, so you could apply one design to your fingers and a different choice for your feet. 

Not much to share about my day, as it was fairly quiet other than an update on my grandmother. She was admitted for observation and should be released tomorrow, and it sounds like she is doing pretty well. She had high blood pressure before, and anything heart related is going to be a concern for a stroke survivor I guess, but things sound like they are under control. My guess is that a medication needed to be added or adjusted, and all the testing will point them in the proper direction. Trick or Treat Lane

Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a stroll down Trick or Treat Lane, a terrific annual event that has a little something for everyone. There are spooky exclusive offers at great prices, and each display has a "trick" or "treat" waiting as a gift. The treats are when the gift is on top of the hay bales in full view, and the tricks mean you have to peek inside their booth to find the gift instead. Still fairly easy, as the booths are not huge, just have your camera controls ready to peep behind things or up high or down low, etc. :) The tricks and treats are free with no group needed to claim them, and the event is open until the beginning of November. 

My first look is the (BYRNE) Bloody Mary Dress, a one shouldered mini with a touch of tulle on the right hip. It does have a sinisterly dripping stripe spiraled around it, I wonder what we've been up to? The gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes.

This sassy outfit is a gift from Les Sucreries de Fairy, simply called Tricks and Treats Halloween gift. It is a single mesh piece in a Maitreya size, with shorts and top joined by a studded strip down the front. I really like this style, and can't wait to add various accessories to have extra fun with it.

This tube top with the ominous image on its front is the gift from zOOm called "Lil Monster". It includes Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes, so it should cover the most popular trio of mesh bodies. I have paired it here with the Delizio jeans in black from the marketplace, one of my favorite freebies on there because of their versatility.

Another seasonal treat is this top from Pink Cream Pie called Kat Tee [Trick or Treat Gift]. It is provided in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes, in a pale orange with a spiderweb pattern throughout. The black jeans from Delizio go really well with this top too :)

My final look this evening is a closer view of my nails, which are a Trick or Treat gift from Dark Passions and their Koffin Nails division. Their treat bag contains the fatpack of Pumpkin Grunge appliers for Maitreya, Omega, and Slink. Each offers 6 designs which are 3 different jack o'lantern faces in orange on black and the reverse. I am wearing my Slink hands here because I love the ability to change each individual nail, enabling me to show you all 6 designs at once with ease. 

It was a busy, decent day, with a few stops after getting my ingrown toenails taken care of. I treated myself to a certain blended ice cream dessert, which I usually eat in about 3-4 little servings over time. Summer on My Mind

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have some Wash Cart Sale finds to enjoy, as we enter the second of the 2 weeks of the Sunny Side Up round. The carts are loaded with $10L offers, and most have a special $50L selection as well, all top quality and some new or exclusive for the event. It is one of the regular events I look forward to the most, and has been for several years now. Another taste of summer can be found by taking part in the Finders Keepers Hunt, and their Summer Loving Round which is a brief but enjoyable free hunt that lasts until the 13th. Look for beach balls, using the HUD found in their free group's notices to teleport or the links on their website where you can also find handy hints. These events really helped put me in a summer mindset.

Every summer wardrobe needs a bikini, and I was lucky enough to find this in the ~Nerido~ beach ball for free. It is their Summer Bikini (Maitreya) - Summertime, with delicate seasonal artwork and pretty beads on the ties. It comes in a Maitreya size that might work for other bodies, you never know until you try. 

Another staple for summer is a great manicure, and the prize at Dark Passions from their Koffin Nails line is an excellent choice. Their Summer Lovin' Fatpack offers 6 designs with pretty palm tree silhouettes, in HUDs for Slink, Maitreya, and Omega. The colors will look lovely with all your warm weather clothes, and the teal one reminds me of Miami Vice.

It was another hectic technology day, that Windows update keeps trying to force itself through and since I have the Home version (not Pro or higher) it can't be put off forever. So I have to let it go through and hope the patch they released yesterday does the trick, otherwise I'll be letting someone else deal with the problems it causes because that sort of thing is above my pay grade ;) That could mean I will be unable to blog tomorrow evening though, it is hard to tell yet, and I have company coming tomorrow night for a few days so my online time may be somewhat reduced. I will still blog whenever I can, since I have lots of wonderful things yet to show you of course, and keep you informed if I know ahead of time that I'll be taking a day off. Hocus Pocus

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is another fun-filled look at some prizes from the Hocus Pocus event in SL. Grab the HUD to help you teleport to each store (and it shows previews of the prizes) from the marketplace or event office for free, then at each location you will see a playful pumpkin named Pumpkin McExtra. Say "hocus pocus" to him in local chat, without the quotes, and he will either reward you with a prize or tell you to return in 24 hours to try again. Alternatively, you can purchase the prize for $50L until the event ends on the 5th of November. There are some fantastic gifts awaiting, you just need a little luck that Pumpkin McExtra is feeling generous.

First we have a flirty tube top from Faida which is simply called Hocus Pocus and comes in a single size that perfectly fits my Maitreya body. Check out that skull on the front, who seems to have been nomming on something or someone since he's got a bit of blood on his teeth. With all that exposed neck, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to show off another Hocus Pocus prize, the Goth1c0 Heart Choker purple. It has a resize script built in for easy adjusting, and I love the intricate carving surrounding the purple heart. That rose above and teardrop below are fantastic touches!

If the Pumpkin McExtra at Decoy is impressed by your magic, you will receive two shirts in one generous prize to enjoy for Halloween or whenever. A lot of these stores cater specifically to Maitreya wearers since they are such a large slice of the mesh body wearing population. You probably noticed the adorable collar I'm wearing, well that is our Hocus Pocus prize from Noyel called Spoopy Collar. The carved pumpkins as the O's in spoopy made me smile, and a clever match for the pumpkin version of the Decoy shirt.

I also found that the Pumpkin McExtra at Olive was in a good mood, so he gave me these terrific BunTEA Mugs to treasure. There are wearable and rezzable versions of each that you see here, and you might notice that they are steaming hot so be careful ;) The left hand version is the blue one with white bunny head marshmallows, and the right hand one has green marshmallows floating inside so I wonder if they are mint flavored. The tea bag tags are adorable, aren't they? They do have hold poses built in too, so you don't spill your tasty new beverage.

This gift cracked me up, and after yesterday's post with my explanation about choosing to censor myself a bit (nipple coverage) it was all too appropriate that I won the prize from Little Llama today. This is their Censored outfit, with 3 different shades (I am wearing the second, untinted) that are tintable and unrigged so you can modify them as needed, and it is worth mentioning that the texture is animated so those little pixels move around. This makes for a hilariously sexy Halloween costume, or just something to enjoy when you feel mischievous.

There are a few nail related prizes in this year's round of Hocus Pocus, and I am delighted to show you one tonight :) This is the Dark Passions - Koffin Nails - Fatpack - Mischievous Binx, and that includes appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega. Today I mostly rested, and am still having plenty of coughing fits but I think my throat feels a little better and my sinuses might be a bit clearer. It has been another day of coping with this cold or whatever it is, lots of coughing and wheezing (I do have asthma also) so I still have some recuperating to do. Hot tea with honey, throat lozenges, and distraction are my main weapons against this nuisance ;) We have a bright new week ahead of us, and I am hoping that it brings plenty of healing and happiness to us all. Advent Season in Full Swing

Hiya everyone! Tuesday has arrived and brought with it some great new Advent calendar gifts, which I am very pleased to show you a sampling of today. It is a busy month with advent, hunts, and The Wash Cart Sale starting tomorrow :) With all these exciting things, it can be hard deciding which of the many goodies to show you each day, so I just aim for variety.

You probably noticed my adorable kitty cat ears, with their delicate roses adorning them, well they are included in this wonderful gift as well in red, pink, and purple. The KittyCatS! advent calendar can be found at many locations, the one in the credits is the KittyCatS main store but I believe most if not all of the participating stores have one set up for us too.

 This lovely advent gift put me in more of a tropical mood than a Christmas one, which is not a bad thing but actually a fun one. This is from Moonstar, *V* Itzel Dress which consists of the top and bottom in system layers plus appliers for Lola, Maitreya, Slink, and Omega. The skirt has a built in resize script so it can adjust to most shapes and sizes. I'm sure you see my eye peeking at you, well that is today's Inkheart advent gift for their group members (free to join) and is called April Eyes - Illusions. As with all their gifts, this includes 4 sizes in system and mesh versions, of which I am wearing the size M. They are a lovely pale blue-grey shade, with a beautiful reflection.

I had to run away from a rolling restart, Tuesday mornings in SL can sure be challenging. This delicate delight is one of our 2 Advent gifts from Emerald Couture, EC Go For Flowers and it was a Happy Easter Hunt Gift initially. If you missed it from the hunt, I hope you don't pass up the opportunity to pick it up now. You will receive it in plenty of mesh sizes: 5 standard, 5 fitted, 5 busty, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, to fit just about any of us. I must admit, the colors really bring out my eyes too!

Confession time...I did something odd, not for the first time and certainly not the last time...I was curious about the Maitreya hands that were included with my Maitreya body, so I decided to wear just one (the left) while wearing my Slink Elegant 1 hand on the right to see how they compared. An interesting test was to give myself some manicures, and Entice has this gorgeous set as their Advent gift for today (free group tag needed). Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland Nails HUD features Maitreya, Slink, Belleza, and Omega compatibility with 6 designs for each. Maitreya only allows 1 design at a time, but Slink let me show off the other 5 so you can see all 6 choices :) 

More wonderful nails, the left side (on my Slink hand) is today's advent gift from Hello Dave, 5 variations of the design half white, half red, and a golden bow in the middle at various angles. You do need the free group tag to claim this, and I cannot possibly recommend this group enough for her consistent generosity. On the right side, my Maitreya hand is showing off the DP Koffin Nails gift found for today in the 1313 Mockingbird Lane advent calendar. Much like the KittyCatS calendar, this is a multi-designer collaboration bringing an exciting variety of gifts to all of us, no group necessary. The gift is called Dark Rainbow Candy and has 3 flesh toned base colors with bright colors swirled into the black tips. Maitreya, Slink, and Omega HUDs are all included in this fatpack.

My skin today is an Advent gift from 7 Deadly s{K}ins, their Daisey 4th July skin line which I believe was originally in a gacha since one is labeled rare. This thoughtful gift consists of skins V1 through V7 (I am wearing V4 here) plus the rare skin, all in Apricot, plus appliers for Maitreya, Banned Booty, Phatazz, Slink hands and feet, and Tango. Some of the variations have red lips, there are different eye looks with varied eyeshadow and liner, but all seem to stick with the red and blue of the 4th of July theme. Such a pretty set, and a generous gift to have 8 different looks included.

Hocus Pocus

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is not about the endearing movie Hocus Pocus (which I'll be watching again in a few hours) but rather an SL event also named Hocus Pocus. You can claim lots of free gifts by visiting each store and saying "hocus pocus" in local chat (all lower case) near the sign and magic bottle that reminds me of a glass candle in a jar. You have at least a 30% chance of winning and can try once every 24 hours, until November 4th. If you get impatient you can always by the prize for $50L instead. You can get a HUD for free on the Marketplace or by clicking the signs to help you TP quicker from place to place, and it shows a preview of the prize for each store right in your viewer screen, but the HUD isn't required to claim them. I find it very handy though :) There are still quite a few prizes I haven't won yet, but I wanted to show you some of them tonight before it gets too late to claim any of them.

This look features a few different prizes, let's start with the clothing...this romper is from Bodhi and comes in several mesh sizes: Small, Medium, Maitreya, Freya, Isis, Venus, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. The terrific shoes are from Dilly Dolls and are called Glinna, they come with a HUD that adjusts the fit for Maitreya or Slink Mid, and offers 4 color options along with the choice of having the strap black or the same color as the stripes. On the right above, I changed the purple in the middle to Black Strap but left it matching the other colors. If you are admiring my hair, the good news is that it is also a Hocus Pocus prize, this one from Love and called [Blush]. It is a very generous gift too, including a full fat pack of color HUDs (blondes, brunettes, candies, gingers, greyscale, mystics, oddities, ombres, pastels) plus an exclusive Hallow HUD. 

This is the same romper and same hair (this color choice is from the Hallow HUD) but here I have added a new buddy whose acquaintance I am very pleased to make! This is the prize from PSYCHO:Byts called Familiar Cat - Poison. He does have a vial around his neck that seems to be glowing ominously, and he is animated so he was a bit wiggly while I was posing for our photo. He looks like a moss-tinted Siamese or Snowshoe, one of those colorpoint breeds that are so elegant looking. 

Another hair color change, and another outfit...this lingerie is our prize from Goth1c0 called Vampy Lingerie. It is included in system layers along with HUDs for Lolas, Omega, Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. So detailed with those delicate closures in the front and the lacing in the back! I imagine it would take considerable magic to get them all closed, or to open them carefully in a hurry. I accessorized with our gift from Indulge Temptation, their !IT! Deadly Necklace which comes with a handy HUD offering 10 metal choices and 16 colors for each the bow and the gem (coffin) so there are countless possibilities of combinations to suit any mood or outfit.

I have so many gorgeous nails to show you, starting with this amazing gift from Hello Dave. Their prize is this Hocus Pocus HUD for Slink and Omega, with 35 varieties (5 versions each of 7 styles/colors) so I'm showing a very random sampling here. I think I'm partial to the marbled purple and the stormy night looking deeper purple, but it all depends on what you're wearing and what colors you favor.

Another wonderful gift is this Stitched Slink HUD from Bella Elephante, which offers 10 designs with that Nightmare before Christmas vibe. Look like Sally, or enjoy these year round as I intend to.

One final look of the night, this is the prize from DP Koffin Nails called Witch's Brew fatpack. All it takes is a bit of luck and lots of magic.

I am still having crashing issues in SL and even crashed when I was trying to take the first photo here...the best thing for me to do is try to reduce my inventory some more and try to be patient, easier said than done. I am still here, just a bit frustrated and slower than usual. At least I was able to login today, unlike Saturday morning.
