Renaissance Hunt XV

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring the Renaissance Hunt XV, whose theme is Of Peril, Potions, & Pleasure. This free gridwide hunt has us following hints and looking for little plague doctor figures, which definitely remind me of crows so I kept referring to them as such. Xan assisted me with this hunt as he usually does with the Mieville Historical Hunts :) That is a good thing because there are male prizes to be found as well, and a few for dinkies so we have an impressive variety among the dozens of treats. This hunt started on the 19th and runs until October 18th, so you have plenty of time to enjoy.

For my first look this evening, you'll want to find the plague doctor at :.C!L.: Boutique. When you click it, you'll receive the gorgeous Madalena Renaissance Gown & Pearls prize for free :) The regal purple gown has an eye-catching collar in white to match the trim at the bodice and cuffs, and the inset of the split front of the skirt. There are sizes for Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies included, as well as two pearl necklaces labeled upper and lower. They are both resizeable so we can adjust them as needed, and you can always choose to wear just one if you prefer a single row of shimmering pearls. 

You'll also want to visit ~MystRie~ for even more free gifts, especially if you haven't grabbed their many Twisted hunts yet ;) Those are in cubes though, and the Astral Calling Gown is waiting for you in a plague doctor doll. The sumptuous fabric looks like the night sky, and the corseted style adds a dreamy touch to our bare shouldered, long sleeved gown. This prize includes the top and skirt each in fitmesh M for classic avatars, along with Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing. That's right, the gown is magically two pieces!

Next we see the lovely Moonstar *V* Beatriz prize, with gown and accessories to complete the look. AmAzInG CrEaTiOnS is ready to amaze with their 13 Renaissance Medieval Dress prize for the ladies, but bring the guys here too because there's also a men's treat :) So this romantic gown has full sleeves, drop waist, and a train in the back for that extra elegance. The fabric HUD offers 13 choices, two of which you see above, and there is also a tinting HUD to adjust that baker's dozen if you wish. I've left both of the textures I am sharing above untinted, but I think the lighter colored ones will be fun to tweak the coloring :)

For my final look of the night, I get to feel fancy in the TMD Renaissance Gown Gold & Red prize from Thistle Moon Designs. The plague doctor also holds dinkies and littles versions, but the women's version above includes a standard fitmesh size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous sizing. The colors are so vibrant and really complement each other nicely, while the styling works quite well for any Renaissance event or region. 

Whew, I am so glad the unexpected and unwanted houseguest is finally gone! I am ready to borrow a tent and sleep outside to get away from the cat dander he always brings into the house, which is baffling but consistent for his visits. I'm sneezing an average of 8-9 times at once, which my ribs are not enjoying, and my asthma is about to have a field day. I am furious that the housemate thinks so little of my health, and won't believe my search results explaining about cat allergies (can get worse with age which mine have, can be life threatening) unless a doctor tells him to his face. Delights from Diversify

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Diversify Event, which is open every month from the 15th to the 29th. They are described as a boutique shopping experience curated for the eclectic soul, and I can certainly see that :) They have gifts for their free group each round, and those are what I am delighted to show you some of this evening. I found some exceptional treats here, and with them I am enjoying the last full month of summer in style :)

My first look is a pairing of two gifts, starting with the Artistic Eye - Eye Roll Tank. The wording reads "Oh, I'm sorry...did my eye roll disturb your drama? Let me clutch my pearls GASP!" next to an image of a sassy woman who has clearly perfected the art of expressing herself with her eyes. The tank top comes in Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes, layered in the front and mostly bare in the back other than the crossed straps. My cheery shorts are the Duet Quinn Shorts Canopy gift, with built in belt and vibrant leaves in plenty of fun hues as our pattern. There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies included in this treat. They have a button fly and front pockets, but a smooth rear with no pockets back there to distract from our natural curves :) 

I also wore the Duet shorts to share another duet of gifts ;) Sorry, puns and wordplay make me giggle! The top on the left above is our [LWD] Becca Crop Top Black - Logo gift from LiveWire Designs. Does anyone else automatically picture Sandy from Grease and her outfit from the ending scene with this bare shouldered style? :) It has the store's logo on the front, and is provided in Gen X Classic, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizing. Then on the right I changed into the REVOLUTION - Hazel Top (Good Vibes) gift, which does bring good vibes as advertised on the front with that retro design of happy mushrooms and flowers. There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies included in this treat. Both of these brands are offering men's gifts too, so be sure to tell your guy friends.

Next we see the lovely Violet Skies - Yara Retro Dress gift. It includes both the dress and a pair of panties (solid green) in Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. I really like the plunging neckline and the funky vintage pattern, reminds me of fireworks and something I saw in family photos from the 60s. Was it the wallpaper or a table? The word Sputnik also popped into my head, so I'm just sticking with vintage vibes :) 

Moonstar has a terrific gift for us too, their *V* Summer T-Shirt and Shorts. The sleeveless swing top and snug shorts are each provided in sizes for Erika, Erika Petite, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies. The image on the front of our shirt is bursting with tropical color, thanks to the flowers, butterflies, and macaw (one of the most gorgeous parrots in my opinion) with a sign that says "HELLO SUMMER". The butter yellow shirt goes so well with the hot pink shorts too, definitely made me smile.

My final look of the evening is a closeup view of another gift, the Frick-n-Frack Claw Nails Style #014. I just noticed that I am accidentally piercing my lip with a sharp stiletto thumbnail, LOL! These nails are easy to wear, just use your body's HUD to hide the built in nails and add these in Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, or Reborn sizes. Each nail pairing (both pinkies, both index fingers, etc.) has a different design, lots of black with gold and silver abounding :) I will absolutely be enjoying these in October too, with some of my spookier wardrobe pieces.

Whew, it's been a busy evening! I am still a little dizzy from yesterday's attempt to switch to my new glasses, but it is getting better. Support group meeting went really well, and I am grateful to have people I can feel comfortable with to talk about our anxiety. Treasure Hunting at Wonderland Beach

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to go treasure hunting at Wonderland Beach and their Celebration Event 2026. It is open until the 20th of July, and we are looking for free treasure chests (click and they deliver a folder with your gift inside) at the booths and displays at this cart sale. There are so many talented designers taking part, and it can be quite a challenge to try to track down all of the wonderful hunt prizes. Well worth it though of course, and I've enjoyed many rounds of their treasure hunt/sales events over the years.

My first look of the evening is our MESH Rainbow Lace Dress and Necklace by Moonstar prize. It really wowed me with the flirty dress and bonus statement necklace! There are standard fitmesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. The bold necklace has a resizer script built in, so you can touch it to adjust the size very easily. I appreciate that the look is sexy but covers the essentials :)

I managed to find another wonderful prize from Moonstar called *V* Groovy Cropped Top, Shorts and Shoes. The name sums it up quite well, as our long sleeved crop top, formfitting shorts, and cute polkadotted shoes are all included to make getting dressed a snap :) The top and shorts come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn sizes, with Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn sizes for mid height feet. If you wanted to layer a BOM tank top or bra beneath for a touch more modesty, I'm sure that would work out very well. Anyone else a sucker for a good pair of chunky platform sandals? :)

Those shorts also came in handy to show off The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. RELAX Tee. It has a terrific image on the front, a hammock strung between two palm trees while a plane flies overheard and 3 parrots hold signs saying "Hang in there" :) Very reminiscent of Jimmy Buffett, and I say that as someone who went to over a dozen of his concerts and adores that laid back aesthetic. I'm sure I still have a silk lei and straw hat I wore to one of them! Welcome to the jungle, we've got fun and games...sorry, lol, our KALEA Hawaiian Jungle by COVETED! prize got that song in my head immediately ;) It is a real stunner with that bold halter neck and fun greenery on the pattern. There are Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes provided in this fantastic treat. I'm sure there are some amazing regions in SL where I can visit Hawaii, so that might become part of my weekend plans now :)

I've got another pretty to share for my final look of the night :) It's our *MARTINES*CELEB2026 gift, a full length dress that is slit all the way up (down?) for a real eyeful of a gown. We receive sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Muneca, Nhuma D, Nhuma LD, Prima, Prima Petite, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies. That's an impressive lineup of sizing! I'm such a fan of daisies, and they add something special to this cheery blue background. The magic of SL keeps the fabric in place, lol, as that open side would probably lead to some interesting wardrobe malfunctions in RL. 

Please don't ask if it's hot enough for me, LOL, because this heat wave is making me a little bit cranky ;) I did go to my parents' for dinner, and my dad was grumbling about having the AC set for 77 because he never puts it that low 😳. To be fair, he has been feeling very cold all the time since radiation treatment several years ago, but my mom isn't very comfy with it being that toasty. My AC wouldn't get it under 80 during the day, but it's 73 in here now which is a vast improvement. The outdoor farmers market is going to be a challenge tomorrow morning, but I have my fingers crossed that it won't be too awful. Otherwise I plan on staying indoors for the rest of the weekend :) Oh well, I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Doves Enduring Dreams

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several more Doves Dream gifts to share, which are all yours for free when you visit the event with your Palomma Plaza group tag "Doves Angel" active. It is a yearly shopping event timed to start on Dove's RL birthday (March 11) and continues until the 11th of April. I've got a subfolder of demos that I'm still trying to narrow down to my final purchases, but there is no shortage of gifts to show you in my folders either :) It suddenly feels summery in RL so I am appreciating the distraction too.

I realized that I have several tops to show you, so I slipped into my white Delizio jeans from their marketplace gift (fatpack, BOM and Omega appliers) to help me. Then I added our [ARTI'S] I am an angel - FREEDOVE 2026 GIFT, which made me smile for so many reasons including the nod to The Free Dove :) Our mauve tank top has a beautiful image designed with wings, halo, and "I AM AN ANGEL" in text, and I don't always live up to that but I try ;) There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies.

The next shirt that seemed to beg me to blog it was our striking RoxAnne Kennedy Top gift. This bare shouldered beauty comes in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn Waifu mesh body sizing, along with a HUD numbered 1-8. Each number is a different texture, either solid or pattern, so it feels like a playful surprise every time you click one :) The style will suit your favorite skirts just as nicely as any pants or shorts, so it is very versatile indeed.

At first glance, the May24 - Eva Dress - Gift reminded me of the 80s and shoulder pads, power suits for women who were starting to find their power in the workplace. These pointed shoulders are more of a ruffle though, an extension of the collar that frames our cleavage just right. Moonstar has a terrific gift out at the event too, their *V* Jenna Dress, Earrings and Sandals. I love having clothing that comes with matching footwear and jewelry, and I must admit that my alt has been wearing this look for over a week already :) The dress is provided in classic M and fitmesh M as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. Then the sandals fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn feet, while the silver feather earrings are adjustable in case you need to edit and scooch them into place a bit. The doves on the floral pattern are a touching tribute to a kind and special person ♥.

My final look of the night is yet another generous gift, the zOOm - BabyBell Outfit. It makes me think of a pajama party you'd see in the movies :) Our top and shorts each come in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy Boobs sizes, while the shoes will fit the flat feet of each of those bodies. We also get a handy HUD with 3 colors each, so we can mix and match. Did you notice the left leg opening of the shorts is slightly pulled up to bare a cheek? Maybe a fellow partygoer tried to give me a wedgie, but I have pillows in my inventory that would make a good weapon ;)

It was a much warmer day here today, and tomorrow will be a few degrees hotter, so I am relieved that this room has dropped from 78 to 74 in the few hours I've been in here :) I am going out early and won't have time to prep for a blog post tomorrow, but will be back Thursday with something new for April I hope. Be sure to be careful of any potential April Fools jokes, and please stick to the truly harmless pranks like putting googly eyes somewhere or changing something that can be easily swapped back. Steam XX Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're checking out the Steam XX Hunt, a twentieth anniversary round which is themed The Waltz of the Automatons. We are looking for a small gear or cog, an example of which you'll find on the hunt signs at each store which can be clicked for the hint. Some have it in hovertext so you don't even need to touch it :) Their website is a great guide too, with landmarks and some preview images of our free prizes. I've enjoyed so many Mieville Historical Hunts adventures over the years, so it's a pleasure to share their anniversary round with all of you. Be sure to check out the themed markets they mention on their website too for some fantastic shopping!

I start the evening with our K-Ks Designs Steamy in Pink prize, which is one of 3 treats inside their gear. There's also something for the men to wear, and a pair of goggles for all :) As for this portion, it starts with the dress in sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Slink Physique, and a standard fitted version. Then we get to add the mask you see here, in pink and white to match the dress wonderfully. The strapless dress style makes me want to find a steampunk styled necklace in my inventory, and with how many of these hunts I've enjoyed previously I am certain that should be a cinch :)

Psyche's Pstyles Mechanical Dancer Dress & Key prize brings some delightful magic to the post, making me feel like I belong in a giant music box. The gilded strapless mini dress comes in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing, while the included key for the back rotates slowly to help wind us up for dancing. I do suggest peeking at the styling notecard inside for details on how the vendor image was created and accessorized, so creative!

:.C!L.: Boutique is the perfect place to be a part of this hunt since they do feature historical fashions as well as more modern ones. Their Patrice Steampunk Victorian SuitDress & Hat prize includes the one piece dress in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with the hat I'm wearing that has a resizer script built in. It never fails that I am usually wearing the wrong hairstyle for hats, LOL, but I'm sure you get the idea :) The deep green and gold coloring makes me think of St. Patrick's Day and spring in general.

Next I changed into the gorgeous TMD Smoldering Gown for Women which is one of 3 prizes inside the Thistle Moon Designs gear (Dinkie and TD & Bebe versions being the others). Our dress of flowing lava will fit eBody, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The way the material pools in the front to look like the base of a volcano is such an eye-catching feature!

For my final look of the night, I am happily wearing the lovely Moonstar *V* Arabella Steampunk Suit and Shoes prize. The suit/gown comes in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Ocacin, and Voluptuous mesh bodies, with matching shoes that fit Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Slink mid height feet. The shoes are like wingtips, black and white that match the clothing so nicely. I feel like I'm ready to solve an old fashioned mystery, after which I should certainly dance with the automatons ;)

We dug into Pokopia for longer than anticipated during my gaming night, lol, and that was after Hello Kitty Island Adventure and Animal Crossing New Horizons. All cozy games, nice and soothing, and my friends helped me unlock a new area to find more pokemon. It is so nice to just build their habitats and wait for them to show up, noi fighting or throwing balls at them, and I'm having fun trying to remember their names from my Pokemon Go days :) I'm watching another late night (West coast) hockey game, and this one still has more than half a period left so it will keep me distracted for a while yet. I'll be glad to see my parents tomorrow for dinner to check in on my dad, who is doing well but I am still prone to worrying. Renaissance Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm sharing some wonderful hunt prizes from the free gridwide Renaissance Hunt XIV from Mieville Historical Hunts. We're looking for a potion bottle with a purple pansy on top, which you can find an image of on the hunt's website along with landmarks. Most stores have hint givers on the hunt signs in their stores (the same hunt object you're looking for) and some even have paths on the ground to point you in the proper direction. Xan and I have always been avid hunters in SL, so I'm pretty sure we have done all or at least most of these fantastic hunts over the years :) Our theme this round is A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the designers did a terrific job as usual with it. We have until the 12th of October to pick up all the potion bottles and enjoy the hunt.

The headpiece and wings are included as well, adjustable so you can get just the right placing and fit :) We can always wear the clothing without the accessories if we prefer, as the clothing is elegant on its own too.

I certainly do look (and feel!) magical in our Moonstar *V* Magic Pansy Dress prize. The floral patterned dress and matching mesh panties will both fit Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Lara X, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The golden flowers on the straps are stunning, and bring out the yellow tones in the pattern as well. The crisscrossed straps and layered skirt ruffles really catch the eye, and once again I feel like going dancing :) Weird coincidence, the song "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" is on my tv right now.

Another gasp-worthy prize is from the Meander pansy potion bottle, their M/M Judith Gown - Deep Red. I genuinely did gasp a little when I tried it on, lol, perhaps from seeing the long train, damask fabric, and attached belt that make this gown so luxurious! There are sizes included for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. I think I just need a crown with either rubies or garnets to reflect my (usually hidden) regal side.

Next I changed into the dazzling Alessia Dress & Belt HUNT by COVETED! prize. It has a rich embossed pattern and is delightful for the cooler weather with those long sleeves and full length skirt. We receive Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Legacy Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes when we find their potion bottle. 

My final look of the evening is our TMD Chiton of the Night prize from Thistle Moon Designs. This treat is a combo of mesh and flexi, as the attached trailing scarf in the back is our flexi that flutters with every movement. There are sizes for standard mesh bodies as well as Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Slink, and Venus mesh bodies. I love the way the deep teal color is shadowed to show off the drape in the front and sides, and it looks like velvet so I want to touch it ;) This will definitely turn heads, and like all of these looks I'm infinitely grateful for the free hunt prizes.

It was a busy weekend, but I'd say mostly good :) I did get to the farmers market, and I'm really glad that food truck was there again because their offerings are delicious. The way there and the way back were hard with my anxiety, but I felt more comfortable while there than I had the other times I'd gone. It made for a reassuring therapy session earlier, that's for sure, and I have a support group meeting tomorrow evening for an extra boost. The weather is still summery, so I slathered on plenty of sunscreen Saturday, and it's the kind with zinc so it made me look even more ghostlike 👻. I'm already Victorian orphan pale, heh, so it's amusing to look in the mirror and see myself even paler. The next few days are the quiet before the storm in SL, because lots of events and hunts will be starting in October to keep me ridiculously busy. Freestyle Fantasy Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some treasures to share, thanks to the Freestyle Fantasy shopping event and treasure hunt :) The prizes are all free, and we are literally looking for treasure chests like you'd imagine a pirate would have, wooden with a lid that opens upon clicking to show off golden coins inside. What it also does is deliver a prize to you though, and that is what we will be checking out in this post. It used to be a family joke that I was clearly an Aquarius (sign of the water bearer) because they could never get me out of the ocean or a pool on rare occasions that I had access to either. The name made me smile because at first I thought it was cute for rhyming, than I realized flowers (flora) and golden (ora) so the decorations on the dress make sense. We receive 5 standard mesh sizes for classic avatars along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizing of our dress, which also has a HUD with 6 colors to choose from. The strappy sandals are designed to fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet, in a soft gold hue to match the flowers on the dress. We even receive a pair of panties in system/BOM layer and an Omega applier, very thoughtful for modesty.

GPA (Ghostraven Professional Attire) has more than one display since they do clothing for dinkies as well, but this goodie is from their adult human avatar display :) Their Unisex T-Shirt - Midnight Portal v.2 is included in several BOM/system layers, short sleeve and long sleeves as well as tucked and untucked versions among them. Please read the notecard enclosed to find out how to adjust those even further, instructions to edit them to suit your tastes. I found myself gazing into that portal image on the front a little too deeply I think, lol, as it is beautiful and captivating.

My final look this evening is our ~J~ Fleur Halter Dress from The Undiscovered Jewel. It's certainly a jewel, but I'm grateful it has been discovered :) There are sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies included in this prize, all with that great lavender-hued pattern. The halter style and sweetheart neckline are classics that I've always been drawn to, and this skirt length is just long enough while still being mini.

Summer Is Coming 2025

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the Summer Is Coming shopping and treasure hunting event. Rubber duckies are just precious, aren't they?

Next I changed into the charming MESH Sunny Flowers Dress and Crown by Moonstar prize. My final look of the night is the Butterflies~N~Roses Womens Classic Tie Dye T-Shirt prize, and if you guessed that I am a fan, you would be right on ;) I was a child in the 70s so I saw a lot of tie dye my whole life really, as it's been back in fashion several times and seems to be an enduring hobby. Have you seen videos of people creating these intricate designs with it? Man, I'd love to try that. It was a fairly good day here, and I enjoyed visiting my parents for dinner while we chatted about the past week. My mom pulled out more old photos to look through, many of which were from the 50s so she was a little kid or even toddler in them :) She was platinum blonde as a kid, like I was, and then both of our hair got darker as we got older. Now mine is going lighter from all the greys, hehe, and I have tons more than she does since I get it from my dad's side. Genetics are wild, and I saw some random resemblances between myself and some of the older family members I never got to meet.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going treasure hunting, at the Spring Spectaculum 2025 event at Wonderland Beach. This annual cart sale and hunt is one of several seasonal happenings in this region, all of which are terrific sources of themed offers, discounts, and an assortment of prizes. This particular hunt has us seeking treasure chests that open up when clicked to show the gold coins inside, but the folder it delivers us will have something I consider even more useful in SL ;) These prizes include fashion, hair, accessories, home decor, and much more, for men and women.
