Elemental Desire Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a dirty little secret to share, the Elemental Desire Hunt 4 from Dirty Little Secrets Hunts. There are male and female paths with $1L prizes, with a $25L "Our Little Secret" path for bonus treats to tempt us. They are found in hunt objects that are 4 black circles in a diamond pattern that have elemental symbols upon them, an image of which can be found on the main page of the hunt's website. There are hints and locations on one tab (names of stores are kept secret) with preview images on another tab, so be sure to explore their site thoroughly. I chose a fairly random sampling for my post tonight, but there are plenty of terrific prizes on all the paths. 

First we start with the lovely CnK: Tulle Heart Mini Dress (Green) from Cats n' Kittens Boutique. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I do have a story about finding this one...I followed the $1L hunt path's hint and found a $25L object instead, so I scrolled through and found the $25L hint (for the same landmark) and followed that which is where I claimed this for $1L. According to the preview photos tab, this should be the $25L prize, and a different color but same style was intended to be the $1L prize. Quite frankly I love both colors (the other is a teal-leaning blue) so I am thrilled to have the chance to pick them up for any discounted amount :) To be clear, this is not a complaint in any way, just clarifying so you are aware and can claim the precise one/s you wish.

I also visited DOLLZ where I found a generous $1L prize called Carmen Dress fatpack. It includes blue, green (seen on the left above), pink (right), and purple versions of the sleeveless mini. They are each provided in Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite body sizes. Now I forget which one was the first one I opened but it contained its sizes then the unpacker HUDs for the other colors, so they are all in there. I love the gathered sides and the way they are tied tightly with long bows.

I always find wonderful hunt prizes at The Sissy Bar, and this (TSB) DLS Elemental Desires - Female is no exception. I am wild about denim, so the cropped denim jacket caught my eye as much as the strapless mini dress with vibrant flowers on a black background. The prize includes both in sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Slink Hourglass, and Hourglass, Petite bodies as well as a standard fitted version. The dress looks great with or without the jacket, and I just might find myself wearing the jacket over other outfits too.

La Beaumonde has a charming prize for us called Coeur de Couture Billy. It is a two piece skirt set that wears as a single mesh piece, in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a system layer/BOM pair of panties in a solid pale blue that you can add for modesty, very convenient :) I adore the floral pattern, and those shades of blue and purple are so striking together.

For my final look of the evening I slipped into the ROA Breezy prize. This sweet and versatile dress is provided in Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Slink Physique, Star, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minimizer sizing. There is also a HUD included with 8 texture options, 4 of which are floral patterns and the other 4 are solid colors. HUDs always make me happy, and this dress comes in an impressive range of sizes.

My day was busy since I had to make a few stops after the blood draw, and that was not exactly fun since she couldn't find a vein. Both arms wound up poked, so they are both a bit sore for now. Tomorrow is my dental appointment which always involves nitrous, meaning I will have some leftover tiredness that means I cannot blog, or should not for the sake of anyone trying to read and make sense of it ;) The week just became so hectic somehow, I am looking forward to finally relaxing again on Sunday. Hunting Around The Grid

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are traveling Around The Grid in 80 Days with the hunt by that name and its 9th annual round. The prizes are hidden inside orange starfishes for $1L apiece, or you can purchase from the starfish at the hunt sign in each store for $25L if you prefer not to hunt. The website has landmarks, hints, and many preview images so you can see sneak peeks of what you can find, and that could help you decide if you want to purchase the prizes :) They are all worth much more than $25L, let alone the single linden dollar if you are adventurous and search around for the hidden one. The hunt started mid-July and runs until the end of September, for the full 80 day experience.

My first look comes from Grumble and is called Summer Heat Dress. This sleeveless mini really lives up to the name, with its vibrant patterns and right hip with the gathered and tied detail. The prize includes sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minimizer bodies. 

Next we see the Cats n' Kittens Boutique prize, the lovely CnK: Egyptian Eye Mini. It combines bare shoulders with long sleeves that are laced on the upper arm, in black with silvery accents. There are sizes included for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. This dress certainly is a striking eyeful!

Freya's Fashions has a beautiful and unique prize for us called FF Sunni Swimsuit ATG Hunt 2021. The one-piece suit has side cutouts that lead to intricate lacing in the back, and there is a HUD that offers 6 textures for the suit itself plus 6 for the laces and 2 metal colors. The swimsuit comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. 

There are 3 prizes at GoodVibes, and they all had the same hint so I will add for the female one that it was a good place to find a STARfish :) I right clicked the hunt object then edit then the contents tab to see which prize was inside before I bought it to make sure I had the correct one. It holds the Womans Tropix Set, a cleverly compiled look from head to toe. The dress and panties (solid white) each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, while the sandals and camera are unrigged so we can adjust them. The men get a matching outfit, and there is a third unisex prize of a spinning seahorse to ride :)

My final look of the evening is a fun outfit from the Harambee-Gwassi charity store called Boho bright pants & top. The bandeau style top comes in a Maitreya mesh body size only, but the matching pants include several sizes for classic avatars (standard S, M, L plus fitmesh S, M, L) as well as Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous body sizes. The colors are delightful, and there are plenty of ways to wear this with a non-Maitreya body...anything from a solid white tank top to your favorite pasties to a pretty bikini top. 

I am back from my weekend blogging break, but only for one day unfortunately. The poorly timed checkup for my infected toenail (mostly better, whew!) will prevent me from having time to take photos and notes in order to be properly ready to blog tomorrow evening. I feel awful about that because I have a dentist appointment on Thursday that will also cause me to take a night off from blogging, so it will be a light week here at Midnight Magpie. Beached Bunny Bounty

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a look at several more prizes from the Beached Bunny Hunt, a longtime tradition that is in its 11th year. There are teal beach pails hidden at each participating store for just $1L apiece, easy to find by following the hints and landmarks on the hunt's website. There are preview photos for most of them, so you can get a good idea of what you will be able to claim from each pail. I was familiar with most of the designers who are taking part, but a few were new to me which does make me happy as well. The mixture of old and new makes it special :) 

My first look this evening comes from the Cats n' Kittens Boutique, called CnK: Double the Trouble Set. This duo of swimsuits comes in blue and pink versions, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The color accents are the straps which cross in the back and wrap around the waist to form a delicate belt. The swimsuits have moderate coverage in the rear, yet the plunging neckline reveals flirty cleavage in front. 

There is something so fun about a strapless romper, so I was delighted to find the pail containing the AC: Coral Reefer Romper at Applique` Chic. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD provided with 6 colors to choose from, since variety is always appreciated. 

I can't decide what I like best about the prize from Bunny Cat, the colors or the romantic style! It is called .BC. Marina Dress-Pink and is an ombre maxi dress that has an intricate paneled skirt and clever gathering at the waist. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Dragon, Fox, Tiger, and Werewolf mesh bodies. I think it would be fun wear this over a BOM bikini at the beach as a gorgeous coverup!

The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. has a clever gift for us called DON'T TOUCH ME Tee, and it really made me chuckle. It reads "FREE HUGS just kidding DON'T TOUCH ME", which is how I find myself feeling sometimes especially with people I don't know. At least virtual hugs are germ-free and safe for friends :) The prize includes standard mesh sizes along with versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. I paired it with the white pair of jeans from my favorite marketplace freebie from Delizio, an entire fatpack of colors in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

My final look of the evening is the Blue Jeans Bikini from "Freda". Its bustier top and thong bottom are each included in Freya, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Rebirth Eden, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing. Denim is one of those materials that is not always comfortable in RL unless it's been worn and washed a bunch, yet in SL we can wear it even in styles that might not suit RL like a thong. The unique bra cups and ruffling are great details here.

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue down the Evil Bunny Hunt 11 path, finding nice or evil eggs with wonderful $1L prizes in each. Their website is an important source of information, with the links to each participating store as well as hints and preview photos. It helps to know which egg you are seeking too, as some chose the nice egg and others went with the evil egg, yet others offering both. There are prizes for men and women, so this hunt is very beneficial for all and I suggest teamwork with your friends or special someone. Like just about all hunts, it is a fun way to find very affordable fashions and home decor while exploring stores that might be new to you or maybe you haven't been to in a while. Speaking of new fashions, I also have a special offer from Entice that you can find at Cosmopolitan this round at discounted prices with plenty of options to choose from.

First we see the Cats n Kittens Boutique hunt prize called CnK: Batik Short Set. The tied tank top and hot pants are in each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. You will be looking for a nice egg that is decorated with angel wings and halo to claim this dollarbie delight.

Does anyone else feel like this has been a really long week so far? It hasn't been bad, just very slow moving I guess. Dirty Little Secrets in Sin City

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to show you some hunt prizes from the Dirty Little Secrets - Sin City 4 Hunt, which are hiding in black drawstring bags. There are 3 paths within this hunt ($1L female, $1L male, $25L) so it is important to follow the hints on their website to make sure you are locating the correct prize. Some of the stores have a hunt object on their hunt sign and you can click to read the hints in local chat, but I still tend to stick with hunt's official websites to guide me. There is a tab on their site with some preview images, and you will certainly notice that these gifts tend towards considerable sex appeal. This hunt just started on the 25th, and runs until the 25th of February so you have plenty of time to explore and enjoy. 

I found this inside a $1L bag at Mishmash Fusion, and what a bargain that is! Their striking ~*MF*~ DLS Womens - Promise Mini - Bronze Glitter comes in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body versions. The flashy style is a bold and fun choice for your next night out.

I also have a great suggestion for your next night in...that would be this alluring prize from Cats n' Kittens Boutique. Their CnK: Mitzie Nighty Set consists of 3 pieces: bra and panty, garter belt, and robe, each of which are provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. On the left I slipped out of the garter belt and robe to show you the bra/panties by itself, and as you can see it is a thong style in the rear. 

Meander has a beautiful treat waiting for us too, called M/M Delicately Lingerie. It starts with the bodysuit, whose top and bottom pieces come in system/BOM layers along with Omega appliers, then continues with a very delicate flexi skirt. It is so sheer and cloudlike that it is difficult to see here, and I am only wearing it on the left above. So pretty! As a side note, Meander is the current store of Lemania Indigo, whose store I remember from over a decade ago that had the same name as her avatar. She has reopened and rebranded a few times over the years, always with the same high quality and impressive texturing. 

For the prize from The Sissy Bar, I kept the bodysuit from Meander on just to have something to display under the (TSB) DLH Sin City 4 Hunt - Female Ladies Parka other than just myself ;) It is provided in a classic M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. Helpful hint here, this comes in an unpacker HUD that says to add to unpack, but I discovered that all the contents are "no-copy" which cannot be unpacked while attached. So you will need to rez it out and right click to open. Sometimes permissions (mod, copy, transfer) take on a mind of their own!

My final look of the evening is the prize from ROA called Trixie Dress with 4 HUDs. It is a simply styled strapless mini, whose versatility lies in those HUDs that offer a total of 24 options from sheer to patterned to shiny latex like on the left above. The dress is designed for the Maitreya body, but could possibly fit others, especially since it is not skin tight. I will always be a huge fan of HUDs and all the choices they can offer us, so a big thanks to ROA for using them here. 

How is your weekend going? I enjoyed my day off for my birthday, and had a delicious Thai takeout (I had pad woon sen with chicken) dinner with my parents Friday. Then this morning I ventured out into the cold, and I believe it was 21 degrees F which is -6 C so well below freezing. I got some yummy meals for the week ahead, and one of the wonderful people there gave me flowers for my special day :) Like I have said, the people at this farmers market are as thoughtful as they are talented, and I treasure my opportunities to see them even with masks and distancing. I am definitely staying in tomorrow, and we have a big storm headed our way with over a foot of snow predicted (30cm?) so once that starts tomorrow night I will be extra grateful to be indoors and warm. It will be snowing until Tuesday, then we have to hope someone can dig us out quickly, LOL! My avi will be soaking up the sun on a tropical beach at some point in the next couple of days, for a mental vacation. I Have a Secret

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am spilling some Dirty Little Secrets, thanks to the latest round of the hunt by that very name. There are a $1L female path and $1L male path, as well as a $25L path, all of which have impressive prizes hiding inside antique styled black and red keys. The DLS11 hunt started last week and is open until the 25th of November, and their website will guide you with hints and locations. This is the only kind of secret I enjoy sharing.

The female $1L path prize at GoodVibes is called Classroom, and as you can see it is a seductive complete outfit. The sweater, skirt, and heels with built in socks are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The tie is also included, with a resize script that you can activate by clicking it to adjust to any shape or size. 

Another full outfit can be found in the key at MELANGE!NC., their =Kiss Me Dahhhling= prize. Our bra top and high waisted shorts are linked together to wear as one piece, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, with above-the-knee boots provided in the same sizes. It took me an embarrassingly long time to notice what is tucked into the low slung belt of the shorts (also attached), and I will just say that as responsible adults we should be using protection. I just hope the belt doesn't damage it ;)

My final look this evening is the prize from ROA, and it is full of possibilities. This day feels like it has been extra long for some reason, not in a bad way but just that time is crawling again. They Did The Monster Mash

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are doing the Monster Mash, not the song exactly but a $1L gridwide hunt called Monster Mash Hunt. Each store has a hidden hunt item for $1L with the option to purchase it instead from near the sign for $25L if you prefer not to hunt for it. And what are we looking for? That would be a cute ghost peeking out from behind a bare tree with a bright full moon above him, probably looking for some monster friends to play with :) For now he is playing hide and seek with us though, and the hunt's website will provide the links to each store as well as hints and even previews of most of the prizes he is holding. I also have something very special to show you tonight, an outfit that is part of a charity sale near and dear to my heart. 

First we have the jacket/tank top combo from ZFG called Carbon, which can be yours for just $1L if you find the hidden one or $25L if you purchase from near the hunt sign. It comes in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a HUD that lets you change the tank top texture to your choice of 8 monochromatic patterns. Maybe pumpkins are one of your most preferred signs of this spooky season, well have I got a prize to tempt you with! This is the Go Frock Yourself treat called GFY-Pumpkin Patch Deep Cut Mini Dress, with a name that sums up the description very nicely. The two I picked for the above image are probably less traditional Halloween hues, although the dark blue reminded me of a night sky.

That would be the American Cancer Society, and our event is for breast cancer research which I have several reasons to feel passionately about. Many of us have lost friends or family to that disease, or are lucky enough to have survivors among our loved ones (my 94 year old grandma is a survivor!) so I am eager to spread the word. Born To Be Wild

Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a walk on the wild side, thanks to the Wild Animals Hunt. It is a $1L gridwide hunt that has us looking for images of a lion (flat prim) hidden in each store, using the hints on their website. There are also some preview photos there, and all the landmarks so you can navigate from stop to stop. I chose a handful of these terrific prizes to share this evening, although there were many others that appealed to me too. I hope you find some that tickle your fancy as well :)

There is something so versatile and cozy about a tank top, since they can be worn with a wide range of bottoms and have a classic silhouette. This gorgeous lion is emblazoned on our prize from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co., their WILD ANIMAL Tee. It is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. The leopard leggings come in a system/BOM layer as well as an Omega applier. I love that fashion is cyclical, and I had similar outfits back in the late 80s or earlier 90s :) This is such a comfy style.

It has long flared sleeves and high cut thighs without being a thong in the rear, and I love how the wide strings for the hood are decorated in cat outlines. Happy Birthday Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight we enjoy some hunt prizes for the Happy Birthday Hunt, a $1L gridwide search for small green balloons. This image is on a flat prim, so not a round sphere shape but something that can hide fairly easily which is why the hints on the website are so helpful. That is also where you will find landmarks and some preview pictures, so you can tell what you will be claiming as your very affordable birthday gift :) I am a longtime fan of hunts in SL as a way to see what various stores have to offer and how they interpret the theme if there is one. It shows off the creativity of the designers in their particular style and skill set.

The Sissy Bar has a cheery hunt prize for us with this (TSB) Happy Birthday Hunt High Waist Dress. It includes standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The brightly colored floral pattern looks lovely on the sleeveless top and pleated skirt that falls a bit above the knee.

My next stop was MadCatCreations, where I located the tiny balloon which holds their charming Happy Birthday Hunt prize seen above. I was immediately drawn to the unique hem, slit up to the thigh on one side while draped down to tickle below the knee on the other. The multicolored blossoms of the fabric are terrific, as are the keyhole openings in the front and back of the bodice.
