Cozy Thanksgiving Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post brings us to the Cozy Thanksgiving Event at Wonderland Beach, where I've visited and shared treats from many times before :) They do treasure hunts with free gifts for us, and these are in actual treasure chests that open to show off gold and gems when you click them. Most of the chests are hidden in or near the display buildings or carts, and I had a lovely time as always exploring the area. We have until the 28th to claim all of our rewards for finding those chests, so about a week left to stop by and refresh your seasonal wardrobe.

My first look is the beautiful DANI Bamboo Minidress, which is the ladies' prize from Designs by Danielle. There is also a chest for the men, and one for child avatars, so the whole family can be covered here :) This dress has fun spaghetti straps that are doubled in the back, and daring side slits all the way up to the waist. We receive sizes for eBody Reborn, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The fabric pattern is a striking mix of bamboo leaves and flowers, in perfect hues for this time of year.

~MystRie~ has two gifts so men and women each get their own special treat from this hunt :) Their In the Autumn Nights Female outfit consists of the long dress in 3 fitmesh standard sizes (S,M,L) plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizing, as well as the headpiece and lantern you see here. The dress made me think of a haunted carnival, and the lantern holds a candle that can be turned off an on by touching it. 

Next I changed into the MESH Thankful Pants Set and Boots by Moonstar, which is one of two gifts I found from this generous brand. The top and pants are one linked piece which comes in 5 classic and 5 fitmesh sizes, along with Belleza, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. The boots come in 5 standard sizes, so I'd say if you are using the alpha layer to hide your feet, only the cuff area size matters in relation to your ankles. The top says "thankful & grateful today and every day" which is something I aspire to :) Lately it's been harder for me to be grateful as life hasn't been very kind, but those are really the times that we need to be more appreciative of any tiny thing that does make us feel happy or positive.

I switched bodies for this photo, and I'm laughing at the thought of how that would sound to anyone not familiar with SL at all...this is not a Freaky Friday remake, I just changed from Maitreya Lara 5.3 to Lara X :) That is because the sizes our charming @rOrO Pink & Teal Xavia Coat & Skirt prize contains, and it is clearly worth the few clicks that it took. The coat and skirt pieces each come in pink and teal versions, all in sizes for Erika, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies. We can mix or match this way, so I've shown the mixes above but the outfit also looks great in the same colors together.

My final look of the evening is the {Monstarous} Webby Nails prize. These long mesh nails come in sizing for Erika, Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Prima, and Reborn hands, just pick your brand from the unpacker HUD and hide your body's built in nails (through the body's HUD) then add the nails of your choice. There are 4 numbered versions included, the two colors you see above plus black and white backdrops, all with the delicate spiderwebs on them. I really enjoy the variety! Quiet day here, which is fine by me, and I am really looking forward to dinner with my parents' tomorrow for the first time in 3 weeks. That's mostly because we have some Thanksgiving details to discuss, nothing major but it's nice to coordinate about the little things. Tequila Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm inviting you to indulge in an adult beverage or two in SL, courtesy of the Tequila Hunt from the Hints & Hunts group. Now the hunt prizes are $10L - $25L, hidden in tequila bottles, and there are group gifts in a tall cactus with an embroidered sombrero (hat) hanging on the front. The website has images of both of these, as well as landmarks, hints, and hunt keys from participating stores. Some of the group gifts (from sponsors) are at the main office of the hunt, and that is also where you can click a large sign to get a notecard with the same info I just mentioned from the website :) The group is free to join, and the hunt opened in the end of August and runs until the 18th of September. They seem to hold a different hunt each month, so please stay tuned for future events. My first two photos tonight are a bit more revealing than usual, but not obscenely so (I hope). I'm also giggling because I keep picturing Pee Wee Herman dancing to the old song Tequila in his movie, so I am probably showing my age tonight ;) 

My first look of the evening is one of the group gifts available at the hunt office, the ..YIA.. Harmonia Outfit 8 Colors Fatpack. The pasties, skirt, and belt are each provided in eBody Reborn, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a skirt/belt HUD offering 8 skirt colors and 3 belt metals. We also get a HUD for the pasties with 12 glittery textures to choose from. There are BOM layers in fresh, fade, and med (that's the one shown) so you can decide how new your tattoo will look. The story of Medusa is one where the perception has shifted over the years, as people have realized that she was probably not a willing participant in the relationship that caused her to be cursed, yet she retained power even in death. 

Next we go to some of the participating stores' locations, like Roja's, to claim their group gift called Athena Sukura DRESS. For my final look of the evening, I happily changed into the Tequila Hunt Gift from COVETED! dress. It has an intriguing style with plunging neckline and daring slit on the left side that produces a diagonal hem, and let's not forget the flirty openings on both sides of the ribcage :) The fabric has all sorts of imagery in dark colors with an edgy feeling, sure to turn heads. Blue Monday

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the BLUE Event, a monthly occasion with top designers providing exclusives, $50L discounted selections, and in many cases, free group gifts. I've shared gifts before here from prior rounds, and am very pleased to show some of the results of my latest visit :) The BLUE SL group is free to join, and this post is just a small sampling of the many generous goodies you can find here.

My first look is one of two gifts I found from Angel's Amazing Creation, their lovely DR0070 dress. This is a fun way to prepare for autumn with the burnished leaves floating on the pattern, and I really like the way the neckline is draped over to capped sleeves. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Reborn, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies.

Our other Angel's Amazing Creation gift is called DR0056 Black & Gold Stars Dress. This lovely halter style mini dress has a deep V neckline and nearly bare back, with a fun starry pattern that reminds me of winter or New Year's celebrations. That's not to say that it is limited to any particular time of year, just a random observation of mine :) The gift includes 5 fitmesh standard sizes along with sizing for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Reborn, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies.

Their DANI Autumn Sweater Dress 1 is a charming turtleneck with puffy long sleeves, in a plaid of orange, cream, and shades of green. Next I changed into the wonderful Let's Get Weird gift, their LGW * B&WBH24 Pack * top. There are Legacy and Maitreya sizes for the Cosima women's top I'm wearing here, as well as a men's version named Tony which comes in Aesthetic, Gianni, Jake, Kario, and Legacy Male sizes. The monochromatic image is dragonlike wings and claws, very feral and intriguing, as the jagged edges look like a dragon could have easily contributed to their creation ;) I'm also holding another event gift, the Imagine Water Bottle which has a built in bento holding pose as shown. I've been more and more careful the past few years to stay hydrated, and this is such a pretty way to do so with that blue gradient and sweet 5-petaled flower blossom on the front. 

My final look of the evening is a duo of shirts with a message of Love ♥, at least that's what is written across the front :) The @rOrO Pink & Teal Odette Top gift has a single ruffled sleeve and fluttery cropped hem, and I really love that the pink and teal versions each have the other color as its ruffle hue. Each version is provided in Erika, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing. Jeans in general are a great neutral, and the white pair seems to make the vibrant colors here pop :)

Beached Bunny Bingo

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we sneak in a few more dollarbie prizes from the Beached Bunny Hunt 14, which wraps up in about a week (end of July). The treats are found by locating teal beach pails that have a yellow handle and blue shovel inside. The easiest way to find them is to follow the hints from the hunt's website, then keep your eyes peeled for the small pails in their bright colors :) It is always a pleasure to do these hunts because they're very well organized, and the longevity of the Evil Bunny hunts does demonstrate that I'm not the only one.

My first look is our ENJOY THE WAVES Tee prize from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. and I'm absolutely a fan! The cozy tank top says "Life's a Beach, Enjoy the Waves" which is a fantastic way of looking at things. Find the pail and you'll receive an unpacker HUD with standard mesh sizes along with eBody Classic, eBody Reborn, Waifu, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizes. @AdReNaLiZeD@ has two beach pails waiting for us, one of which contains this lovely Maria Pink dress. It has a stunning ombre of colors to go with the layers of ruffles, and a very summery style with the halter neckline tied loosely at the nape. Next I'm happy to share the @AdReNaLiZeD@ Lena Plum Silk from the other pail at their store. This seductive bodysuit has high cut legs, daring front opening, and sassy hardware for an edgy flavor. My final look of the evening is from Designs by Danielle which is on the same region as Ink Blots :) Their DANI Beached Bunny Hunt Prize is a top and skirt set with nautical striping on the long skirt. I'm always drawn to halter tops, particularly this twisted and draped style, and our top and skirt both have very pretty golden chain details.

It was a quiet day, other than tomorrow's haircut appointment being rearranged earlier due to the stylist's needing to leave sooner than scheduled. I am relieved to still be going since my hair is out of control, lol, as it's been like 8 months since my last cut and it's simply too hot for this overgrown mop. The Silk Road Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we head down The Silk Road, which is the name of a wonderful free hunt making its return to SL with the 2024 "On the Road Again" round. The Mieville Historical Hunts group is bringing this adventure our way, and we are searching for lanterns to light our way and give us our prizes when clicked :) The ones on the hunt signs have hints for us to help locate the gifts, so be sure to check those if you like a little guidance. The website offers all the landmarks and previews of some of the prizes, so it is handy to have open if you can. I'm finding myself crashing a lot lately and having external browsers open while in SL might not be helping, but it's the new update with PBR so it's got my system working harder than ever. I almost feel guilty suggesting you should have a website open while in SL, but if you use the internal one in Firestorm (which I never have so am very unfamiliar) that might be easier. This hunt is open until the 21st, so just over a week remaining to explore The Silk Road :)

My first look of the evening is the beautiful TMD Saree Zari Pink Set from Thistle Moon Designs. We receive the full outfit as one piece, as well as individual skirt, top, and wrap, each packaged with 3 fitmesh sizes (S, M, L) and sizing for Freya, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. This way we can choose to wear the entire ensemble at once or wear the individual pieces to mix and match. The bright colors add stunning appeal, as this treat is beautifully textured.

Another irresistible prize I am delighted to have found is the DANI Prishna Outfit SRH24 Prize. This outfit consists of the top, skirt, and shrug, each in Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. As separates we can wear these in various ways, like on the right I removed the shrug for a more summery bare-shouldered appearance :) The golden embossing is just amazing, making the lowest tier of the skirt look like burnished liquid gold in motion. 

I really wanted to show off the Kittycat's Creations goodie for us, The Silk Road Tray v2, and this seemed like the perfect time since it kind of matches my outfit! The tray has a built in holding pose as shown, and there are 5 drinks upon it (cervoise, jiuguan baijiu, koji beer, koumiss, Midas touch ale) which Kitty has researched to be historically accurate from the Silk Road trade route and included a notecard about. I believe she said they are all beers. When you or anyone around you touches any of the drinks, it will distribute a mug to them which even emotes in local chat when worn :) I'm always captivated by the work and care that goes into their products, and you can see why.

My final look of the evening might be just right for your weekend plans, if those include a visit to a beach or pool :) It's the Violet Skies - Tropicana Bikini & Sarong prize, a gorgeous combo of bikini (one piece) and sarong so you can wear them both or slip out of the sarong whenever you see fit. Each piece fits Erika, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. There is a HUD provided as well, with 2 sarong textures and 20 colors for the gems, plus 5 metals for the setting of the gems. The lacy sarong texture on the left is more sheer than the one on the right, so it provides a little extra coverage if you wish. The intricate straps caught my eye as surely as the fun tropical print, and the gemstones are just a little extra decoration to emphasize that we are as precious as jewels.

Whew, thank goodness it's Friday! My day got off to a weird start and a lack of sleep, so I skipped dinner at my parents' (nausea and severe exhaustion do not make me a good dinner companion) and tried to relax in the heat. It went okay I suppose, as I am still here to tell the tale ;) Mostly I'd prefer to have my sleep less interrupted and being able to fall back to sleep sooner would have helped too. Sometimes the brain and body just don't cooperate, shrug. I have a busy week ahead so better now than in a few days I guess. Malus Park Summer Camp

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the Summer Camp Hunt at Malus Park, which is open for the entire month of July. There are rolled up sleeping bags in various colors that serve as our hidden hunt objects, in the southwest corner of the Malus Region. This includes their Zen garden, memorial garden, The Refuge, and oceanside dock so you know where you're exploring :) All of the prizes are $10L or less, and I must say they are all worth far more than that! We are able to find some terrific bargains, just by searching for the sleeping bags. The website can help you with hints for some of the prizes and preview images, and you'll notice that several designers are offering multiple prizes/bags so be sure to follow those hunt keys :) We have two relatively new nail artists among the designers too, so my fingertips are feeling extra fancy!

My first look combines two of the prizes from Designs by Danielle, of which there are a total of 5 which are $10L apiece. The DANI Camp Memories Tank says, "Here's to the nights we can't remember with friends we'll never forget" and I almost want to toast to that with a beer ;) It brought back fuzzy but fond memories for sure. There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, and Petite X mesh bodies. It pairs really well with the DANI Camo Camp Shorts, which are found in a different sleeping bag and have just the right pattern for camping in the wilderness. I'm a bit of an odd duck in that I have a sentimental response to camo print, thanks to military family members like my dad.

My final look this evening has me swooning too, thanks to backSTORY and their versatile Summer Camp Nails prize. The mesh nails are designed for Alice 5.0, Belleza OG, Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands, and include a HUD that offers 10 solid colors for the thumb and ring finger, plus 10 designs for the pointer, middle, and pinky nails. This means we get to adjust our accent colors to suit the pattern we select :) The tiny plaid print could be a nod to flannel which is great for camping in, or a gingham picnic blanket or tablecloth for the wooden tables you'll find at many campsites. Wow, what a weekend! My computer turned itself off in the wee hours of Saturday morning while I was in SL and on discord chatting with Xan, and we brushed it off as a one-time thing that could have been a small brownout that only affect my pc but not my lights. Sounds nice, but he signed off and I was still here doing blog related prep when it happened two more times in a 15-minute span. Uh oh, right? It would turn itself back on after a couple minutes, very odd behavior indeed. 2 hours later a fourth occurrence convinced me that the problem was the PC itself since the tv, fan, and lights all stayed on. Diagnosis - power supply needed replacing, blah. That was taken care of late last night, and things are going well so far, knock on wood, so I am very relieved. This kind of thing is why I feel like my middle name should be chaos, and it's a good thing I usually don't blog on Saturdays anyway. Oh yeah, and tonight the housemate (who weighs about 400 lbs., no exaggeration) stepped on my foot and one of my toes made a loud gross cracking sound. This was in the kitchen so hard tile flooring. It is sore and slightly bruised, but they don't really do much for broken toes anyway, so I am taking care of it at home by icing it and elevating it, keeping two toes taped together too. If things start looking or feeling worse, I'll have to do something about it, even if the agoraphobia fights against it. Sigh. Mischief Menagerie

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are taking a look at some wonderful gifts for the group called Mischief Menagerie, which is free to join and brings us news about recent releases, sales, and shopping events including their own. There are lots of talented designers who a part of the group, so that means there are plenty of places to visit :) I had seen the group's signs in various stores that I frequent, so this has been on my to-do list for a while now and I'm excited to share.

Our first stop is Telsiope's Couture, where upstairs in the group gifts section you can find the lovely Arwen outfit for Mischief Menagerie. The top and skirt are each provided in Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. The halter top has two golden clasps (front and back) that match the waist closure on the front of the asymmetrical skirt, such fun details! The intense blue color is effortlessly appealing, just a naturally beautiful choice.

Tea Lane has two treats for the group that coordinate splendidly, so I'm wearing both here :) The ~TL~ Olivanie Tee Yellow fits Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies, while the ~TL~ Emia Shorts Yellow come in a similar size set of Erika, Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizing. I love the way the top is knotted loosely in the back, leaving one shoulder drooped playfully in the front, and the slightly darker yellow shorts have a snug fit that reminds me of bike shorts that I lived in during the 80s and 90s.

Next we visit BlondeQueen to claim their terrific BQ::Brielle Crop Shirt & Skirt:: Blue Stripes gift. We've got a cropped short sleeve top with sweetheart neckline, solid sleeves that coordinate nicely with the grey and blue striping of the main shirt, and the skirt is a daring one, thanks to that opening at the waist and the sharp rise in the hem :) Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes are included for each piece.

We all know how much I appreciate having a fully coordinated outfit, so many props to DANI (Designs by Danielle) for making me smile with their Outfit Teal/Red gift. The intriguing heart patterns made me think of bandanas somehow, only more playful :) We receive the top, skirt, and flats w/warmers (boots) each in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies, with a BOM thong in matching teal. Please note, the thong is no copy, so you must rez the unpacking HUD out and open it the traditional way, since no-copy items cannot be copied to our inventory from something that's attached to us. I will do whatever it takes to make sure I have matching panties, lol, and this is a very easy fix. If you don't have a home with rez rights, there are lots of sandboxes throughout SL and some stores have places where group members can unpack things.

For my final look of the evening, I visited V8 Underground and their always impressive wall of group gifts :) The one for Mischief Menagerie is called **SIMONE LEYASH RED URBAN STYLE COMPLET OUTFIT**, and let me start out by saying Wow! This gift includes the top, skirt, belt, and mules for Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies, plus accessories all in gold so you really shine. Those would be the necklace, earrings, armbands, and bracelets you see above, all of which have resize scripts built in and can be adjusted as needed. Part of me wants to pair the bold medallion jewelry with half the outfits that were already in my inventory, lol, they are just that much fun! 

Well, I did have an outing today and it involved a quick jaunt on the highway, so my anxiety didn't like it but I got through somehow. The timing was such that the traffic was very light, and I think that helped a bit. Otherwise it was a pretty average day, with Paleo Pines (no unusual dinosaurs spotted today) and hot but clear weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy but not as bad as initially predicted, so that is a relief. My neuropathy is acting up surprisingly tonight, so that my hands and feet feel like they are buzzing and burning. It's probably the medication change-over taking place this week, so perhaps Thursday will be a better day for it. Blue SL Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Blue SL event, where you can find lots of $50L offers as well as specially selected sales items, and many of the participating designers are offering group gifts too. There are also gifts with no group needed, and a few very low cost (one I'm sharing is $1L) goodies that we can liven up our wardrobes or homes with. It's even okay if blue is not a favorite color of yours, since as you'll see I found plenty of non-blue offerings that tickled my fancy.

My first look is the [MONTCLAIR] ~ SUGAR BABY JAMMIES, well two of the 5 sets included for just $1L :) The set on the left above is called Cuddles, and Avocado can be seen to the right, while the others are Donuts, Honey, and Weekend. All consist of bra and shorts to fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Waifu Boobs mesh bodies. They are all so fun to wear, and amazingly affordable.

Time to get flirty with the DANI Gift for Blue VIP Group Members! Its bra, panties, and lace trimmed stockings are all system/BOM layers, delicately textured with fun bows on the panties. I took the opportunity of showing extra skin to also show you another gift, our Moonie - Saturn Moons BOM tattoo. There are tattoo layers in 50%, 75%, and 100% so you can decide which opacity gives the look you prefer for your body ink. The details here are terrific, from Saturn on the front to the mixture of astronomy and birds and bees on the back :)

I kept the DANI lingerie set on but topped it with another gift, which is the charming @rOrO Cotton Candy Willow Poncho. It is provided in sizes for Erika, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a beautiful ombre of pink to teal on its sheer knit texture. Just think of all the great layering possibilities! You could choose a tank top, bra, or any sort of shirt you like, with your favorite pants or jeans or skirt of any length.

For another change of tops, I slipped into the BQ::Star Crop Shirt:: GIFT duo from BlondeQueen. Their blue denim star on the front of both the plum and white versions is really the only blue among these gifts, other than the teal blue-green of the prior gift and a few bits of the next/last one of the night, so really not a strict theme :) Each of these shirts is included in eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. The white with blue star totally reminds me of a famous football team, one very much disliked by most football fans in my area, and reminds me of a funny little story. One holiday several years ago, my grandma (the one who just passed away) randomly mentioned being a fan of *that* team, and the way my cousins reacted still cracks me up to this day! I mean literally several people gasped, and one of the cousins moaned "grandma, nooooo", and it really felt like they reacted as though she'd casually mentioned being a former member of the Manson family or something. I'm not a fan of the sport at all, so it didn't bother me :) Her husband had been a fan of the other baseball team in this state, so big rivalry there too, but everyone knew that because he wore their hats and such. 

For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying the terrific $50L BlueSL offer from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. called 80s CARTOONS Tee. I feel so seen! LOL! I was 9 in 1980 so I was a kid or at least kid at heart throughout much of the 80s, and cartoons were an interest shared by both of my grandfathers (yep they were in their 80s and still watching them) so I could park myself on the couch with either of them and giggle along. My favorite of the time was probably The Smurfs, but I loved the more classic Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, and reruns of Scooby Doo. Anyone remember Shirt Tales? It was a quiet day, and we have reached an icky stage of dealing with my grandmother's passing...the clearing out of the house and deciding what to do with various belongings. It feels weird and wrong, yet there is a mug I saw that I'd given her many years ago as a souvenir that I might ask for even thought it says Grandma. Since I'm not a mom I will never be a grandma either, but I think it would bother me to know that it was given away or thrown out. I don't even really have room here for much, so we'll see if my cousin and his wife will want the china set (not as fancy as it sounds but old) for their new home. Tonight it's time to explore the May Faire Hunt, brought to us by Malus Park Events & Hunts so you know it's got impressive designers and prizes :) The prizes are all $5L or less, and you can find them by looking for the lovely little purple flower hunt object which is pictured on the hunt's website. That is also the place to find all your landmarks and hints, plus preview images wherever available, so you know what you are looking for and can see the fun variety and quality waiting for us. Many stops have more than one treat hidden, so you'll have multiple hints to guide you to each flower. We have until the end of the month to pick up all the wonderful prizes we wish.

It was a chaotic weekend because that's how I roll, LOL, well at least lately most of my plans fall on weekends. Therapy was half focused on my telling him about my grandmother's failing health, then half on a ride to a couple nearby locations then down the highway. I've got my 'homework' for the upcoming week, a couple of outings and a visit to the new family doctor to discuss changing medications now that I've had time to think about it and research it.
