Happy Swankiversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post shows off several more group gifts from the Swank Event and their 12th anniversary round. Just make sure you have the free group's tag active and click all the glass and gold globes you can find at many of the 200+ booths. They won't even distract you from the wonderful shopping :) We have two floors to explore, with a little something for everyone so be sure to invite your friends as well. 

My first look is the playful [If Design] Siane gift. It includes the bodysuit and tiny skirt in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies each. There's also a HUD provided with 15 colors apiece for the bodysuit, laces, metals, and skirt, just click the words on the left side of the HUD. There are also arrows to adjust the alpha up and down, so each piece can be made sheer if you wish.

Next I've changed into the lovely [Enchantress] Rian Body Gift, which also caused me a bit of a mystery ;) I saw it as a top and panties that are linked by a crossed belt, and was not seeing the sheer midriff; yet it somehow appeared in my photos like a ghost! LOL! I honestly like it both ways, and I kept playing with the HUD which offers 20 colors each for the main, middle, and belt. The bodysuit fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I really need to try it on again to find out if the middle will become visible, like I could see it briefly become solid gray while the new color rezzed but then went invisible. SL is full of mysteries sometimes :)

I may have fallen in love again...with this amazing gift! The *HH* Diaz Cocktail Dress Barbies Revenge from HAWKER'S HOUSE is a gorgeous slip dress in fitmesh sizes S, M, and L, as well as Freya, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizing. I adore the purple to pink ombre and those fun diagonal pinstripes. 

Three cheers for the ANNA[Beth Dress]Gift since it's giving me strong cheerleader vibes :) The high necked sleeveless top has an image that says Sakuneko blog on it, and pleated skirts are such a throwback to my Catholic school days that it makes me smile. We receive Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes in this gift.

For my final look tonight, I'm feeling flirty in the Dark Angel . Hope Set Blue gift. The top and skirt are separates, and we can choose from Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies from the unpacking HUD. That way you don't have to deliver all the sizes at once and clog up your inventory :) I always hold onto those HUDs in case I want to use a different body in the future though.

I think the weekend felt long, but not in a bad way by any means. The farmers market was really fun, not many vendors but the ones who were there were all enjoying the nice weather just like I was. I'm probably going to go out on Tuesday that will mean an evening off from blog, but it is something positive and progress is a good thing. Sweet Swank Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight feels like a good time to check out more SWANK Event group gifts from their 11th anniversary round as we ease into the new week. The gifts can be found by clicking the clear globes with gold Swank logo and number 11 at many of the displays on both floors of this massive event :) Just be sure to have their free group tag active, and you too will feel like you've been showered with several holidays' worth of treats. Since some brands have more than one setup at the event, they might put a gift at only one of them, or put out multiple gifts so you'll see some brand names more than once while you unpack it all. Enjoy the treasure trove!

My first look of the evening is our [C.YFashion]*MEL*DRESS GIFT GROUP, a short mini dress that is not short on sex appeal ;) There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD that lets us pick from 6 colors for the main fabric. The wide netting stays neutral black, which looks amazing with any hue you pick :)

I'm feeling groovy in our [If design] Perla gift here, because it's hard not to feel that way when sporting tie dye. The daring dress and tied panties are provided in sizing for Legacy, Legacy Boobs, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers a whopping 56 textures for each piece, plus the ability to tint the chosen texture so the possibilities are virtually endless. There are plenty of solid colors too, so if the patterns here aren't your thing, you certainly have other choices that should appeal to you.

The Dark Angel : Kara Set Blue gift can be worn two ways, and looks fantastic either way. It consists of a cardigan and strapless dress, in Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. I love the way the paler blue strings tying our cardigan closed match the one beneath the bust perfectly, so we are very nicely coordinated in this outfit. I find it very timely for the upcoming cooler weather too, having the option to add the warmth of the cardigan.

Next I slipped into our flirty KiraStyle // TOP & SKIRT 12 gift, whose top and skirt are each designed for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The HUD lets us choose from 40 textures each for top and skirt, then 20 colors apiece for the edges/bows of each piece. The bared midriff seemed like a perfect excuse to share another gift, the Malandra - Connie BAD GIRL - BODY TATTOO. It is provided as a BOM layer, and I had to giggle because the crown at the end of the text made me wonder if we are now officially the queen of bad girls for wearing it? I'm usually a good girl type, but SL tends to bring out a different side in me sometimes so I'll wear this crown.

For my final look, I am wearing the versatile Nala Design - Alex Top paired with their Alex Skirt. These are separate gifts, so let's start with (from) the top. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Prima Busty, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 8 solid colors and 9 sheer ones. The sheer is that lacy wisp on the right above, and you can guess why I had to make that the rear view ;) Our skirt comes in a similar set of sizes (not quite identical though) of Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Peach, Reborn, and Star bodies, plus a HUD with 12 color options. The pleats add visual interest, and the brief hemline is as flirty as the crossed top.

It was a decent day, with a productive support group session (from the anxiety center my therapist works for) and getting things planned for the upcoming week. My outing tomorrow is going to be picking up dinner at a 50s themed place about 20-25 minutes away, to keep me expanding the limits of how far I'm comfortable going. Marketplace of Pride

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I wanted to check the SL marketplace for Pride themed gifts, as I know there have been many released there over the years and I'm still pleased to celebrate Pride month as usual. The good news is I found several, using "pride NOT demo" as my search string then narrowing it down to apparel then women's and sorting by price. The attempts to eliminate demos will work to an extent, but even checking the box for no demos can be avoided by determined listers. Some put d-e-m-o or d*e*m*o to get around search limitations for example, although I genuinely don't understand why since it won't earn them any money. I truly do enjoy browsing the marketplace, as some of these designers no longer have an inworld store or don't have one yet, and their merch can only be found here. Anyone remember when it was called XStreet XL? If so congrats, you're an SL oldie but goodie like me ;)

My first find is the Sneeky Free Bom Pride Jeans N Crop outfit, whose name sums up this versatile look fairly well :) The clothing is provided in BOM layers, with 4 tops and 4 pairs of jeans to mix and match. I'm wearing top 1 and jeans 2 on the left, with top 3 and jeans 4 to the right. Aren't those lace sections on the tops pretty? Rainbows abound here, and I am very pleased to have found this free gift.

I stuck with Sneeky jeans to share our Dark Angel : Pride Cuff Tshirts treat. There are two versions, Happy and Support, each in sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies. The soft green Happy version says "Happy Pride Month" across the rainbow splash, and Support Pride is the bold yellow that says its name in multicolored lettering. Both are really pretty and spark joy this time of year for me :)

Those jeans came in handy once again to show you the charming Redheads Rock - Pride T-Shirt. This loose fit tee has a great purple color that serves as a lovely background for a watercolor type image of a Pride flag :) There are sizes for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, along with classic S, M, and L for classic avatars. 

The [Zombie Kittens] Marsha Pride Minidress is such a thoughtful gift, named for Marsha P. Johnson who was a prominent figure in the Stonewall uprising that helped bring us to a place where Pride month can be celebrated. The dress comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, along with a HUD that lets us choose from 19 total options - 8 images ranging from 1 to 6 background colors. I'm still oohing and aahing over the pile of rainbow colored kittens on the right, and honored to wear the Ally image in my heart and on my blog.

My final look of the evening is a full outfit called KEdays-Pride Outfit Gift Maitreya fitted. It was designed for the Lara 5.3 body as the name indicates, with the top, skirt, panties, and heels all included. I think there is a chance of the clothing fitting other bodies with some alpha use, but did not test that theory out; if it were a paid purchase I'd suggest a demo, but there is no harm in trying a free gift :) The hearts on the top are as vibrant as the striping on our shoes, and I was a child of the 70s who always loved rainbows anyway ♥.

My day was calmer than yesterday, lol, as the weather is decent but the power is still out in my area. The whole house generator is struggling its little heart out, like if you turn something on (tv, fan, whatever) it makes the lights flicker and the generator gets really loud and scary sounding. My anxiety is not enjoying this, as you can guess. The power company's estimate for repair is currently Sunday at 11 PM, so 2 more days more or less. It'll be too hot to stay in an un-airconditioned house if the generator croaks, so I will be retreating to a hotel in that case. I did have dinner at my parents' house, which was enjoyable and we looked at even more very old photographs for a bit. They don't have room for my housemate and myself to stay there by the way, otherwise we would just head there instead of a hotel in a pinch. Not many people have 2 spare rooms set up for guests, and none of us have cots or even sleeping bags to rough it in the living room or somewhere. So that's my weekend plans I guess, lol, waiting to see how the generator does and how fast the power company can repair whatever the storm damaged. I am trying to stay optimistic. Swank Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to visit the Winter Wonderland of Gifts at the SWANK event, where their free group tag will let you click dozens upon dozens of pretty giftboxes and claim a bounty of gifts. These gift rounds always make me so happy, and I usually wind up with a separate folder of demos to help me return and do some shopping :) There are some gifts for the guys also, which makes it worth visiting for all of us.

My first look this evening is the #SHOOSH Holly Xmas Outfit [FATPACK]. This gift includes the strapless dress and cape each in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD which offers 10 colors each for the dress with and without sparkles, fur, cape with and without sparkles, strings, bow, and fur with or without the sparkles. I went with traditional Christmas hues on the left and randomly picked a pretty purple for the right, trimmed in white fur.

Another gift I couldn't wait to show off is our [C.YFashion] CHRISTMAS Gift jumpsuit. It has 3 versions (green, red, and white) each packed separately with jumpsuit and fur (sleeves) in sizes for Kalhene, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. The cute Santa hat is provided with each color as well, and it is adjustable. This is a fun choice for anyone who celebrates the holidays in SL in a warm climate, like one of the first homes Xan and I rented was a tropical beach house.

Next we see a little more fur trim, this time on the GAS {Christmas Set Myra - blue - SWANK] lingerie gift. This whole outfit is actually linked to wear as one piece, from the collar down to the garters, in sizing for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The sheen certainly caught my eye, and the heart shaped opening over the cleavage, and the black bows really pop against the lighter colors.

Speaking of shine, how about this dazzling Malandra - Fancy Dress Latex Silver gift? :) It almost reminded me of foil at first glance, but that is a latex type reflectivity that is simply stunning. Our strapless dress has daring slits on each side of the skirt, and hugs our curves beautifully. The gift includes eBody Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya sizes.

My final look of the night is the Dark Angel : Morgan Set Red gift. There are three dresses (red, white, and black trims) and the jacket which is more of a small shrug, all in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. As the unpacker HUD allows us to click the brand we need, you'll only be delivering yourself the size/s you need and can hang onto the HUD for future reference :) The dress looks great in all three versions, with or without the jacket, thanks to the diagonal hem and sexy side slit. 

I had an outing today so it was a hectic one, par for the course whenever I leave the house :P  We did a mobile drive-thru order at a newly opened branch of a famous fast food place (not saying the name to avoid advertising for them or coming up in a search somehow) and because they have all new employees there, they were struggling. It was like 3PM so not exactly lunch or dinner rush, and I'd hoped that would make it quicker but that is not my luck, LOL. So the waiting got my anxiety all revved up, just stuck in a line that wasn't moving behind a cop car whose driver seemed frustrated too. The fries were ice cold, which was just as gross as it sounds, but I don't expect gourmet food from a drive-thru anyway :) Edible yes, but top notch is pushing it. Otherwise a decent day, and I'm still trying to come up with a game plan that'll allow me to share some Advent gifts some morning. Swank 10th Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to head to the SWANK Event, to help celebrate their 10th anniversary. There is an abundance of amazing group gifts waiting for us, all ours to claim with their free group tag active. For the most part they are in beautiful gold and glass balls with a 10 inside, similar to a fancy Christmas ornament. I do remember this object from previous years with the matching anniversary numbers, and blogging them has been delightful each time :) Be sure to explore the entire event, both floors, to make sure you see all the offers and of course collect all these gifts.

My first look of the evening is our flirty [Enchantress] Yumi Dress Red Gift. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies included. The vibrant color looks so pretty with the spaghetti straps that cross in the back, and the way the bodice is gathered and tied with the bow dangling into a peekaboo opening.

Dark Angel : Suna Dress Mini Pack [1] is another don't-miss gift that includes 4 different textures each in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Three patterns I recognized as animal prints, but I'm not sure about that one on the right above ;) I really like them all! The neckline is clever, and the slits on each thigh show off a little extra skin. It is a great bonus detail to have a golden zipper in the back, as sometimes I tend to want that realism of how we would get into the clothing.

Next I changed into the charming [LA BELLE] CAROLINE SET FATPACK gift. The top, jacket, and skirt will each fit Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. We also receive a HUD with 21 logos for the shirt, plus 22 colors each for our top with or without polka dots, skirt with or without polka dots, belt, and straps that are laced through the holes in the jacket sleeves. There are also 22 shades of denim for the jacket. I love the wrap tulip style of the skirt, and its fluttery ruffled hem. This feels like a perfect autumn gift :)

This versatile cutie is the AVAgirl - Kendra gift, a romper with lots of possibilities. There are Legacy, Perky, Perky Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh body sizes included, along with a HUD offering 16 colors each for top full, top front, top back, shorts full, shorts front, or shorts back. If you choose a 'full' option, both front and back get tinted at once, or you can make each half of each section different colors as I did on the right above. The style is sporty yet sexy, thanks to the low cut top.

My final look of the evening is one of the gifts from V8 Underground, called **ANNETTE TOOLE COUNTRY STYLE COMPLETE OUTFIT**. The top, sleeves, panties, skirt, and boots are all provided in Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. Then we dig into the accessories - earrings, layered necklace, scarf, sunglasses, and cowboy hat, which are all adjustable. Add them all or just the ones that suit your current mood or personal tastes, and make this look your very own :) 

It was a decent day here, and I visited my mom really quickly to drop off her birthday card and gift. Settlement on my grandmother's house is tomorrow, so they have a busy day closing that chapter of life. It is sad but necessary, and I know she is upset to see the last of the family's houses in their little neighborhood sold (we always jokingly called it Lastname Village, my grandma's maiden name, as 3 of her brothers and her sister all lived there) but I wish the absolute best to the new homeowners and am glad they will be creating new happy memories to go along with the ones we have there. The news today was so sad, losing James Earl Jones and then hearing about the funeral for the Gaudreau brothers and how it's not just the younger brother's widow who is pregnant but the older brother's wife is 9 weeks along with their third child. Those ladies need our best wishes and prayers, as they are facing some heartbreaking challenges. Well I do hope you're all enjoying your day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

SWANK Is The Tops

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're exploring some of the gifts for the SWANK Event, specifically a handful of tops that we can wear with our favorite pants, jeans, skirts, and more. There are so many incredible free gifts here, just wear the SWANK event group tag (free to join) and look for the rainbow flames at many of the displays. Give each one a click and the gifts are all yours :) Be sure to set aside some time for all the unpacking, lol, as it is quite the haul!

My first look for the evening is the Dark Angel : Pride Cuff Tshirts, a gift of two versions of the same classic shirt. There are Support Pride and Happy Pride varieties each in sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn sizes. The support style on the left above has a great sunny yellow background, with minty green for the happy pride on the right :) 

For multiple textures on the same clothing, it is much easier to have a HUD of course, like we find in the #SHOOSH - Pride Shirt [FATPACK] gift. It has 14 fantastic options in fact, a few different images on black, white, or pink backdrops. The slim fitting top comes in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. I must say, the ones I'm showing you are absolutely things I would happily wear in RL too :) It's probably hard to see here but the unicorn says Born This Way in rainbow letters in the cloud beneath. 

I love the vibrant stripes of our AXE-PRIDE GIFT! There are Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this short sleeved cropped tee. 

If you're feeling flirty, reach for the SF:: Pink Vest gift from Scarlet Fey. It fits Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and the boldly colored suede-like texture is sure to turn heads just as much as the open style. The front has all 4 card suit symbols on it, and I just had to share a view of the back with a large spade adorning it. Anyone else out there have a hard time remembering the difference between spades and clubs when you were a kid? I did then and occasionally still stumble over them somehow, lol. 

My final look of the night is a lovely tube top with detached sleeves (but worn all as one piece) called YoUnique Couture Ambra Ombre Top Fatpack. If you've read my blog before, you can probably guess which jeans I'm wearing here since they appear quite often...these are the white pair from the Delizio fatpack that is a marketplace freebie, plenty of hues in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

This was a pretty busy weekend here, with dinner on Saturday at my parents' instead of Friday and then therapy today. The weather stayed hot but dry, and dinner was nice while the therapy session was tough because my stomach is really bothering me lately. So being in a car for any amount of time makes me feel motion sickness or something, bleh. I'm okay, just feeling a bit worn out from mental and physical stress I think. The week ahead has a heatwave with strong heat advisory warnings for the next several days, heat index values up to 105 which is just nasty. I'm not leaving the house while the sun is shining most likely, LOL, but will still be doing some form of exposures for my therapy. Standing with Ukraine

 Hiya everyone! Tonight my mind and heart are overwhelmed with sorrow for the people of Ukraine, and my post reflects that. I have seen it mentioned in group chats and blog posts to check the marketplace for gifts and items supporting Ukraine, and as the situation becomes even more volatile I really wanted to share some of these thoughtful offers. Now I am not political minded and generally avoid it on my blog as much as possible, but staying silent is not always the right answer. A simple search for the word "Ukraine" on the marketplace, then sorted by newest first, will show you many choices, then I further sorted by apparel then women's. Some of the non-free items indicate that their costs are being donated, something I definitely appreciate, so keep an eye out for that if you feel the same. I stuck with the free ones for my blog post, but also purchased some charity items that caught my eye. You might also see donation kiosks in various locations as well, so let your heart lead you. I know this is an unusually somber post for me, but I feel it is necessary, and will hopefully have a more lighthearted post tomorrow ♥. 

My first look of the evening is the .MKN. Pray For Ukraine Outfit Gift, consisting of t-shirt and pants each in Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. The shirt has a handprint in the Ukrainian flag's colors with "Pray For Ukraine" written next to it, and "I stand with Ukraine" in several different languages on the back. Our pants have blue and yellow stripes down each leg, track pant style, and a heart on the front with "I stand with Ukraine" above. 

Next we have two lovely shirts that I paired with my favorite marketplace jeans from Delizio, but you can wear these with many different bottoms. On the left is the BM Ukraine Tee gift from Baby Monkey, which is provided in system/BOM layers and there is a notecard inside with info on where you can donate in RL to make even more impact. The shirt reads #SlavaUkraini and We stand with Ukraine across the front, on the familiar blue and yellow of their flag. The gift from [TinRoof] is called "Stand" TShirt (Women), and yes there is a men's version available as well. This mesh shirt with cuffed short sleeves has a Ukrainian flag colored heart with "Stand with Ukraine" inside, and comes in standard mesh sizes as well as versions for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

Dark Angel is offering a pair of t-shirts with simple yet powerful images on them, their Pray For Peace Ukraine Tshirts - Free Gift. The heart and peace versions are each provided in eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. It is hard to decide which one I like better, as these are two symbols that have been a big part of my life as long as I can recall.

The top on the left above is the Manikin - No War - Top - Female gift, and they are also offering a male gift on the marketplace so be sure to look for that too. This charming layered look has a blue bra beneath the black tank top, with "Say NO to WAR" emblazoned across it. The gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. My final look this evening is an outfit you can wear out to a club or date if you wish, while still showing your solidarity by displaying the Ukrainian blue and yellow colors. It is the E&E Eiko Dress Ukraine gift from Ella & Elle, who have provided the dress in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, as well as shoes to fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. I love how the shoes are each one color lined with the other, and the single dress strap with midriff cutout makes for a head-turning look. 

I have had to take a few quick breaks while typing this post because I was getting teary, if that gives you an idea of how I am feeling about this situation. War is brutal and ugly, although I would rather be empathetic and able to feel hurt for the people of Ukraine than be the type of person who can turn off those feelings or not have them in the first place. My heart goes out to everyone involved, and it is my fervent hope that peace can be found again swiftly and safely. Sending tearful but hopeful magpie hugs to everyone!!
