Virtual Diva Couture

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're headed to Virtual Diva Couture, where the group is currently free to join. That will let you claim 2 group gifts for September, and give you access to several lucky boards with seriously spicy treats :) There are group gifts for other groups next to the lucky boards as well, so there is a wonderful variety available here.

My first look is the Virtual Diva Witcher DARK which I won from one of the lucky boards. It's got accessories to help us prepare for Halloween, both the add-on my left hand and the hat with an evil grin on the top. Both of those are adjustable if need be. As for the shimmery dress, it comes in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies, and has a great texture that is very responsive to your local lighting.

I did mention spicy, lol, so our Virtual Diva Alexa CROW lucky board prize might not be too much of a shock ;) This stunning bodysuit is made of intricate lace, in a mesh style that fits Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I used a 'modesty flower' to hide one of my nipples, lol, and you're about to see even more of them as we go along.

When you're standing near the lucky boards, you will see both group gifts for this month to your left. One of those is the sexy Virtual Diva Romance DARK dress, a sheer lacy slip of a dress with an amazing hemline. There are Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes included, and you can tell I added a few more modesty flowers (in Photoshop, not in SL or on your gift whatsoever) to hide a few bits and pieces ;) I found myself staring at the lace, absolutely mesmerized by its beauty, with the tendrils down each thigh being an especially noteworthy detail.

The second gift for September is the Virtual Diva Leroy CROW bodysuit, a fun mix of leather and fishnet. For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying our Fitmesh Fanatics group gift called Virtual Diva Morph Dress Crow. The sequined texture is marvelous, and the tube style dress with sweetheart neckline is perfect for showing off curves :) This gift includes 5 standard mesh sizes along with Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, plus an alpha layer to make sure it fits smoothly.

Everything I did today was slower or later than intended, lol, so I am running behind and feeling like I am running through quicksand. My favorite (she says sarcastically) was lying down to try to sleep and hearing something (🐁) skittering around in or against the wall next to my head. I was tempted to run out of the room screaming, but somehow I managed to fall asleep eventually. At least I had a good time chatting with my friend while we played Hello Kitty, as we do every week, and she had me cracking up telling me about a concert she went to. I am eager to see how my dad is doing tomorrow at dinner, and I'll find out if he's scheduled the sleep testing he needs yet. eBody Reborn Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm inviting you to the eBody Reborn event, which as you will see not just for those who wear that brand :) The participating designers do have offers that will fit Reborn bodies of course, but most include other sizes alongside the eBody varieties. Just about every one of them has a special promo priced offer from $0L - $50L in a black bag (shaped like a milk carton almost) with some offering demos of the non-free promos so you can be confident in your purchases. I'm focusing on the free end of that price range as I do, but I definitely saw plenty of tempting choices at many price points. The event seems to be open until the 7th of November, so about a week remains to explore and enjoy.

My first look this evening starts with the free [Din] Gift Reborn dress, a sexy strapless mini with lace bodice. It includes sizes for Gen XC, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy mesh bodies. The lace up top is sheer, so keep that in mind when selecting where to visit while wearing :) I accessorized with another gift I found here for free, the [LUNAFELL] Heart Choker GIFTPACK. There is an open collar version as well as the original I'm wearing, both with resize scripts and a HUD that offers 24 textures each for the left and right side, 12 metals for the clasp, and 6 metals for the heart in the front center. I had a very good time as always playing with the HUD, and the inset shows the heart shaped link that holds it all in place. 

I also stopped by the REED display and picked up their gift called ISIS PINK, which as you can see is a sassy little short romper in cheerful pink with white trim. It comes in eBody Reborn, Waifu Boobs, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. The neckline plunges quite low both back and front, and I'm getting a kick out of the slightly cheeky rear view too ;) 

For a bright pop of color, be sure to pick up the free Virtual Diva Rave SKY gift :) There are sizes for Belleza X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy Boobs bodies provided, and I must admit that at first glance I took this for a dress but now am thinking it is a shorts romper like the prior gift I shared. Either way, that is a beautiful shade of blue and looks great as a subtle knit texture.

There is something about pinks and purples that always catch my eye, even if I cannot always tell one from the other...like this Carol's Store- Xenia Dress Pink which is a truly stunning gift that to me looks like an orchid shade of purple :) Could be my lighting or my eyes, but I adore it either way! The halter dress has a sweetheart neckline, shapely seams, back zipper, and lace trim in white to match the halter strap. We receive sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Momma, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

Whatever your favorite color may be, chances are you can find it in this dazzling EC PopArt Dress RockNRoll gift from Emerald Couture. The design on the front reminds me of the Love statue in Philly, but with ROCK as the letters with "& ROLL" tucked into the opening of the O. There is also something so playful about bare shoulders with a collared neckline, like the points of the collar are arrows to draw attention to the sexy shoulders :) The gift includes standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Prima, Reborn, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. We get to turn heads in this gift for absolutely free, so I am delighted and grateful as with all of these treats.

It was a quiet day and I'm looking forward to a new month in SL with lots of new rounds of events and hunts :) Things tend to go from very busy in October to calm in November, followed by havoc in December, LOL! Sunday Morning Advent

 Hiya everyone! Welcome to a special Sunday morning edition of Midnight Magpie, featuring several wonderful Advent calendar gifts that are available just for today. They either need a free group tag or no particular group tag to claim, so all it costs us is a visit and the time it takes to teleport to loads of generous stores :) Honestly it is my favorite time of the year in SL, even if it is the most hectic, since it really shows off how thoughtful our fellow residents can be. Imagine spending so much time and effort creating merchandise to sell, and then being willing to offer multiple free gifts for most of December ♥. They deserve more gratitude than I can even adequately express. I will be posting again tomorrow morning too, as there are just so many that I'm delighted to share!

I've had a really nice weekend so far, as the visit to the farmers market was a celebration of their tenth anniversary so we were given free cake (baked by one of the regular vendors) and hot apple cider simmered with spices and orange slices, YUM! I was there for their opening day a decade ago, and am just so happy for them to still be successful. I think adapting to health needs the past few years helped (contactless pickups in the parking lot) and keeping a steady flow of new vendors when others' paths lead them in different directions. I miss it being indoors but appreciate that people are allowed to bring their dogs to the outdoor version, no health regulations against that :) The Boston terrier who is there just about every week got lucky when someone dropped a generous sample serving of handmade toffee popcorn, and he did an amusing impression of a roomba, LOL. Such a cutie, and clearly food-motivated as I am sometimes too. My next blog post will be around this time tomorrow with more Advent goodies, because there are still stores I visit daily whose gifts I haven't shared here yet and a few from last week may make another appearance.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are taking a look at more of the treats from the Trick or Treat featured in this round of the #BIGGIRL event. With the Flair For Events group tag active (free to join) you just click every pumpkin you see at all of the designers' displays, and you will either receive a trick of an empty box (labeled trick) or a treat of a free gift from that designer. The event caters to curvy women, and I would say it accentuates the natural sex appeal of full figures with formfitting or revealing fashions. Intrigued? Come on over and see what tickles your fancy!

I was still sifting through the separates, specifically the tops, when coming up with this first look that shows off two of them :) On the left above I am wearing the [WellMade] Skully Blouse GIFT, which includes Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Reborn mesh body sizes. The pattern of skulls on a bed of roses is fun for the season, and the wide band picks up the darkest shade in the pattern and draws the eye. Then we have the teeny tube top on the right, :: Saussi :: Top Caity Black. This sexy treat is provided in sizes for Erika, Freya, Kupra, Kupra Squeezed, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy bodies/mods, with a HUD that lets us choose from two textures. One is the flames seen above, while the other is solid shimmering black. 

I kept my black Delizio jeans on and checked out our treat from Gaia here, called the spook returns top. There are 3 colors packed separately inside - pumpkin seen on the left and white on the right, plus black - which each fit eBody Reborn, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. The red stain is only on the front, so it's either an entry wound with no exit wound, or I was a perpetrator rather than a victim ;) 

AURORA will have you feeling spooky-sexy with their generous Paulin Halloween Gift. Its top and panties are each provided in eBody Reborn, Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Kupra Bimbo, Legacy, Perky Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya Flat, and Peach Body sizes. The straps caught my attention with the clever cleavage clasp, and the pattern of pumpkins and bones is perfect for Halloween. 

Wow, the gift from Virtual Diva is sure to turn heads for its vivid color and spicy styling! It is called Kira PINK, and it has a daring opening in the front all the way past the navel, held together with a few buckled straps. There are Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh body sizes included, and I'm sure you can imagine how sexy it will look on each of those :) If the flash of nipples is too much for wherever you're headed, I'd suggest layering a bra or pasties beneath it, either to match your skintone or black to match the trim.

My final look of the evening is a seductive one too, thanks to *Flamingos* and their SinDress - Red gift. The sheer dress has panties built in and bows decorating it, in sizes for eBody, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 10 colors each for the ribbons and panties, plus we can hide the panties by clicking the X to the left of the color choices. On the right I selected blue in an effort to create a purple effect for the panties peeking through the translucent red, just playing with color as I do enjoy doing :)

It was a pleasant weekend here, and I am really looking forward to my chiropractic visit on Tuesday to get this neck feeling less achy. The farmers market was fun as usual, and I got lots of delicious food that I will be enjoying throughout the week. Posh Event Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the POSH Event, whose current round lasts until the 23rd of the month and celebrates the diversity and elegance of posh divas. There are fashions, accessories, poses, and more for sale here, and many of the booths have a free gift for visitors with no group needed to claim most of them. So in this post I will be showing you some of those wonderful gifts :) I very much enjoyed my visit there and hope you do the same.

For my first look this evening, we have the charming ::WD:: Bibi Dress - Turquoise - GIFT from Web Dew. The dress and short sleeve blouse are layered and worn as one piece, in sizes for Freya Perky, Isis Pushup, Legacy, Legacy Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies. There is also a HUD to tint the blouse in any color you want via color grid and RGB codes. I left it untinted on the left, then chose a rich orange to match some of the flowers in the pattern on the dress. The style is sweetly girlish, which I definitely enjoy from time to time.

For something more on the sexy side, be sure to stop by the Luna Chelsea display where you can find their SOPHIA DRESS as a free gift. It has long sleeves, boat neck, and dramatic asymmetrical hemline, with a striking leopard pattern. The gift includes Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya sizes, as well as a bow tie ribbon waist belt that is modifiable so you can adjust as needed. The HUD lets us choose from 18 hues for the background of our leopard print, so this gift provides so many different looks in one. 

Next I slipped into the alluring .iAmH3r! - Karm3n! Dress - H3RBERRY which is one of several gifts in their giftbox for us, all for free. This slip dress has an opening that curves down from the neckline across to the right hip and back to the front center, laced loosely so we get peeks of skin all the way down. There is also a built in necklace that resembles a bolo tie, very fun detail :) This gift includes sizes for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

I also had fun trying on these two gift tops from .iAmH3r!, starting with the Er1n! Wrap Top - Sheer Hucci Black on the left. This wispy crossed fabric comes in Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. On the right I am wearing the lovely Am1rah! Jacket - Hucci 2 gift, a chic cropped jacket with 3/4 sleeves that is opened just enough for a peek of inner cleavage. It is provided in sizes for eBody Reborn, Freya, Kupra Bimbo, Kupra Original, Kups A, Kups B, Legacy, Perky, Love Momma, and Maitreya mesh bodies. With both of these I am sporting the blue jeans from the Delizio fatpack that appear here quite often, a marketplace freebie that includes system/BOM layers along with Maitreya and Omega appliers.

For my final look of the evening, the Delizio jeans are making another showing with another terrific Posh gift, this one from Virtual Diva Couture. Their VDC Sugar Top PINKMIX GIFT comes in sizes for Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. The extra short sweater has bold stripes of black, grey, and two shades of pink for lots of visual interest. I can envision wearing this with a mini skirt or a full maxi skirt too, just about anything you wish!

Another chilly day, another frustrating hockey game...two more of our best players were unable to play due to plague protocols (I try to avoid the C-word because of search engines, since I doubt people looking for practical health info want to find SL fashion instead, LOL) and the game wasn't even aired through normal channels. The players are generally frustrated that the games are not being postponed yet the protocols regarding testing are still very strict, so most teams are missing many key players. I have no idea how many positive tests it takes before a game is rescheduled, but it seems arbitrary so far. A snowstorm is just now reaching my region, bringing around 2-4" of snow if it sticks to the predictions, so dinner at my parents' tomorrow is iffy but could still happen if things are cleared quickly. Diva Virtual Couture

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some group gifts to share, from Diva Virtual Couture. Their group is free to join and there are so many gifts waiting for you, a full wall of them in fact. Just wear the tag and give them each a click, it's that easy. It is also nice to have just one place to visit and find all of tonight's looks with a single teleport.

First we have the Joy Couture Carmin Mix dress, a stylish look in red and black that comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. There is also a shoulder add-on in a single size, the black beaded piece that really adds pizazz to this already glam outfit. Another wonderful gift you'll find on the wall is called Joy Couture Accessories, matching earrings and hat to our dress seen here. Feel free to combine these with any outfit you wish, as they will be a welcome addition to just about any style.

SLFO Hunt Revisited

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more SLFO Hunt gifts to enjoy, with dozens and dozens of generous designers participating by hiding a free orange leaf in their store. We have a handful of days left before the hunt wraps up on the 25th, so pop open their website for your hints and landmarks, and good luck! For tonight's post I found lots of tops to start out, so you can get your favorite jeans, skirts, and leggings ready.

These sweaters both have a cozy feel to them, and great knits in vastly different styles. On the left is our prize from AsHmOoT called A/W SweatShirt Lana, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. For a more full coverage style, find the leaf at {amiable} which holds their SL F&O Hunt Oversized Knit Sweater. It includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and a classic version, in fiery orange. I am wearing a favorite Marketplace gift that you'll see here on my blog a lot, jeans by Delizio which come in several colors as system layers plus appliers for Omega and Maitreya.

Caboodle has a trio of shiny sweaters waiting inside their leaf, called Marijane Sweater - Holos. There are holo, pink holo (seen above left) and purple holo (right) each in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Freya. You can really dress these up or down, depending on what you wear beneath them!

!!smesh is offering this playful layered shirt as their hunt prize, and it reads "I am HOT from the inside" on the front. It comes in eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. 

Next we take a look at the hunt prize from Virtual Diva Couture, aptly named Dynamite Dress Carmin. The dress comes in Slink and Maitreya sizes, and the fur is a single size that is a separate piece so you can wear with or without. I'm thinking it would be fun to show up at an event wearing the fur, then remove it after a while to reveal the rest of the dress itself. 

For my final look of the evening, I've selected the prize from [Cynful] called Dream Babe Bodysuit. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass, each in several versions: fabric, fishnet + fabric, fishnet + sheer, fishnet, and sheer. Above I am wearing the fishnet + fabric on the left, sheer on the right. They all have the same combination of pink shades, high cut hips, and terrific straps in the back.

I am not quite sure yet how my holiday plans will affect my blog schedule, but I will try to make sure I keep everyone updated on my facebook page if I have to skip any days. I will have a houseguest from Wednesday night to Friday night, and we will be having Thanksgiving dinner at my grandma's pretty much all afternoon/evening Thursday. There are a few things to do in preparation, but several family members are bringing food so the bulk isn't falling on any one person.
