Hiya everyone! Tonight we explore the free gridwide Renaissance Hunt X, whose theme is Witches, Wisewomen and Wizards. They were prominent in medieval times, then the new era of the Renaissance brought fear of the old ways so many folks who fell under the witch, wisewoman, or wizard description were forced into hiding. I do find history fascinating, particularly how individuals were affected by changing times, so the mini hunts that are a traditional part of these Renaissance hunts (and Silk Road, both organized by Historical Hunts) delight me when they educate us with notecards and links filled with intriguing details. The hunt ends on the 27th, so I do suggest you get started very quickly if you are interested! We are looking for gargoyles, which for this round are textured grey with red cracks that remind me of cooling lava. There is a picture on their website, and the first stop always provides a shoulder pet that serves as a sample and is said to help the hunt object rez faster at each stop if you are wearing it.
One of our stops with a mini hunt is Mountain Rose, with an enthralling storyline for us to take part in and find several items along the way. One of them gave me the Female Witch costume on the left, and a corresponding male version. That gift includes the forest fairy glen witch top and skirt each in fitmesh M plus Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizes, plus a witches broom with familiar (not shown) that you can rez and ride. On the right, you can see the Wisewoman outfit, consisting of a top and skirt in the same sizes as the female witch on the left, with a medicinal plant collecting basket that I am wearing like a backpack. My apron is appropriately smudged for the hard work it takes to find all those herbs, and the tartan of the remainder of the outfit makes sense for the storyline of our adventure. There are several other prizes too, mainly home decor that you will see during the mini hunt.
Thistle Moon Designs has a fun group of prizes too, in versions for men, women, and even children. This is the lovely TMD Modern Magician in Ice Dress, and includes standard fitmesh sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. You will notice a beautiful accessory too, that is the Never Ever !! Necklace "Pagan" fem. Its silver and deep blue combo look so striking with this gown but will easily complement whatever else you decide to wear it with. That prize also includes a male version, which is in an equally striking black and silver combination.
:.C!L.: is a terrific place to visit for vintage fashion as well as more modern selections, and they are offering a very timely treat hiding inside their gargoyle this round :) It is called Alice 14th century Blue Gown & Hennin, and has a few components to wear together or separately if you wish. The gown comes in a classic M size along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizing. The hennin is the cone shaped part of the headpiece, and the tiara w/ veil is provided too. I am wearing both of those above, and I suggest trying them each on individually to see how they combine to create the magnificent headwear you see. I feel elegantly noble in this look for sure!
Speaking of elegant, COVETED! has treats for men and women in their gargoyle that will add to your roleplay experience or any random day you feel the urge to wear them. This is the charming Raspberry Renaissance Gown + Veil, and that gown is gorgeous with its sweetheart neckline and golden belt to match the shoulder bows. Something else that matches is the veil, with a built in circlet to hold it in place in style. The gown is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies.
Witchy woman! My final look of the evening is our prize from Kitty Creation, named Witches, Wisewomen and Wizards Female after the hunt's theme. There is a male prize provided in the same gargoyle, so this gift is suitable for all. Our hooded gown comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, and the prize also includes a simple sleek hairstyle for each size in a light brown shade. I decided to stick with the hair I was wearing since it worked well with the hood, but I do appreciate that the option is there since some hairstyles simply do not cooperate with hats or hoods. I have always been very fond of purple, particularly when combined with black, so this has an extra appeal simply for that reason :)
Today felt like a more efficient day, since I am not running ridiculously behind my usual schedule, and I had no bizarre dreams to linger and distract me all day like I did yesterday. The weather is getting cooler, so I am wearing longer sleeves and just more clothing in general like slipper-socks. I do enjoy autumn, so I am happy that it is arriving here in RL. My first look from the cart sale is two of the stunning summery dresses from the Battle Fairy cart, along with two pairs of the charming shoes they are offering there as well. Heading down the Silk Road path to Xanadu, this gown is the stunning gift from Inara's Fantasy Couture. It is provided in standard mesh sizes, and is exquisitely detailed. I accessorized it with the prize from Never Ever, which is this lovely necklace containing a resize script and included in male and female versions. The pendant part has a subtle animation to it, like a banner waving in a gentle breeze.
I also felt very regal in the prize from Suki's Silken Fashions, which is called The Lady of The Pearl. Find that pyramid and you will receive the off-the-shoulder gown in 7 mesh sizes, plus the pearl headband, necklace, shoes for default avatar feet, stockings and undergarments in system layers, and the ship in a bottle I am wearing on the left above. There is a very handsome mens' prize provided as well, as with many of these hunt prizes, so your favorite male avatars can enjoy too.
One last look for the night, I cannot resist sharing a great set of nails :) Tonight I have been enjoying another Cart Sale offering from Rad Designs, this being their Scratched Heart Royal with a HUD compatible with Slink, Omega, and Maitreya. There are 6 rich colors, each with a subtle rainbow heart etched into the center of the nail.

Hiya everyone! I thought I would wrap up my posts on the Renaissance Hunt V with a look at some of the amazing jewelry that can be found on various stops in this hunt. I was thinking about it yesterday when I mentioned how much I enjoy seeing SL jewelry and how detailed it can be, and knew there were several prizes I could share, so this post is a look at the sparkly and elegant gifts to adorn our necks, ears, fingers and more.
First we have a lovely crown by ~*W I L L O W*~ which is prize #017 in the hunt. I also had the pleasure of showing you all 5 women's necklaces from Chaos, Panic & Disorder! who are stop #039 and have several decoys out, but never fear as each decoy contains a variation of the prize necklace. In the main image I'm wearing the Balaurul Necklace in Ruby, beneath are Blackened, Sapphire, Fire, and the original main prize. In the upper right corner I am showing you the men's version in Ruby, and that can be found in all 5 matching colors in the various decoys. CPD is very generous with their hunt prizes, and I'm really fond of these necklaces with their Asian flair.
Allow me to introduce the Collar of the Queen, part of prize #026 from Never Ever. The gift includes the gorgeous necklace you see here, along with the matching ring in the inset (which reminds me of the royal engagement ring) and a 2 part Collar of the King, not shown. I do appreciate that most of these hunt prizes include goodies for both genders :)
Buccaneer's Restorations (#064) have provided prizes suited for males and females as well, but as both of these are indicated as the female prizes (the male gift isn't shown) I am wondering if the smaller one is designed for a child avatar as well. The smaller necklace shown is the Elizabeth I Miniature Lady's Carcanet, and the larger one is the Lady's Locket. The men's gift is called the Courtier's chain, and there is even a version without a chain so you can use it for just about anything. These even come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Queen Elizabeth :) We must really be treasured subjects to receive this from her!
Store #024 in the hunt is Thistle Moon Designs, and they are taking part in a mini hunt by Antiquity that is an optional part of the main hunt, but I highly recommend it as the earrings shown above are the mini hunt prize. The Pearl and Emerald Necklace are part of the main prize and are accompanied by the clever Gold Renaissance Hiding Ring that will open and close upon clicking. What will you hide in yours?
If you would like to offer your guests a luxurious beverage, Kittycat's Creations is glad to help by giving you prize #005 A Fine Tray, which as the notecard explains will give your friends (or yourself, I have tested it) the elegant goblet of wine they choose by clicking, and it will vanish from your tray while being offered to their inventory. Fancy wine was all imported and quite expensive in that time, so only the rich had such a luxury. The wine choices are Cadiz Wine, Clary, Muscadell, Sack, and Wormwood Wine, which were all available in that time according to their research. They also have a prize at their other location, which offers mugs of ale, so if you find that goodie you will be able to offer something a bit more down to earth.
Instead of a nail note of the night since they aren't really visible in any photos, I will mention that I am wearing the same outfit I did for yesterday's blog, prize #062 from Peckbeth Clothiers. It is a lovely mesh gown and comes with a matching hat and slippers, not shown. I'll credit it under photo #1 instead of all 5 photos, but you get the idea.
I had a fairly hectic day so I'm running late, and thinking I deserve some major retail therapy after an unusual amount of stress. Hiya everyone! I hope your Monday was a decent one, and that you are ready to take a virtual vacation through the wilds of the African Summer Hunt :) I have some amazing prizes to share with you, so let's get to it!
Every great outfit deserves great accessories, so I have paired up two different prizes here with terrific results. The skirt and top are our prize from #11 Kitty Shape Wears, and each come in standard mesh sizes. The skirt has some fantastic details like the belt and chains. The necklace and sunglasses are both part of the prize from Never Ever, who have generously provided both sunglasses and necklace each for men and women with different styling for each.
The prize from Kitties Petite Dreams is a classic style dress with system layers and flexi skirt, but while I was putting it on I couldn't help but notice even though they don't reference it at all, that the outfit without the skirt actually makes a very cute bathing suit! So I decided to show you both possibilities. This is prize #21 in the hunt.
I love this fun and cheerful tunic from #17 Bees Heaven, with its pretty layered look and the cute giraffes image on it. Also in their prize is a matching v-neck tee for the men, since they certainly deserve gifts too. I added the prize from Redrose Jewellry #08, which includes the necklace, earrings, and bracelet you see here. There is also a men's necklace, not shown, so the guys can enjoy this one as well.
Our last look of the evening is this vibrant dress from Get Frocked, who are #19 in this hunt. The colors are so striking, and then to turn around and see that fun cutout in the back really made me smile! The mesh is very shapely, and comes in standard sizes. I definitely look ready to ride off into the sunset to a fun party.
Nail note of the night: I am showing again one of the two prize HUDs from the $1L Around The Grid Hunt from La Boheme, this one being called [LB TigerTips]. That single linden gets you these pretty nails in various French manicure base shades with the tiger print at the tips, along with the [LB RegalPeacock] design in 10 colors which I've blogged before as well. The subtle animal print of this one seems to work well with all the outfits tonight :)

Hiya everyone! Welcome to the third and final installment of the Atlantis Hunt prizes I will be sharing with you. Lots of goodies to be found, this has definitely been a wonderful hunt that I highly recommend.
This bright, colorful dress is our gift from {D.o.R.k} called Ariella. They are #21 in the hunt, and I am glad I found this with its sexy pointed skirt and fun texture. The necklace is our #35 prize from Gachapon! and you can see the texture in the closeup but what you can't tell from that is it is animated. So that lighter color actually swirls around, fitting the name Power of the Sea Necklace.
Here is a great choice if you want jaws to drop everywhere! This revealing dress is from SweetRed's Designs, #30 in our hunt, and the top and skirt are separate mesh pieces which can be handy if you need to wear them in different sizes for a perfect fit. As for the fantastic necklace, that can be found at Never Ever in prize #34 along with a male version which has an anchor in place of the seahorse on the female version. With neutral color, they can be matched with just about anything.
This adorable cropped sweater is our prize from Grumble, #38 which is the last stop in the hunt. I love that it's short enough to be summery and playful, but not so short that you get the underboob showing so it isn't appropriate to wear some places. The pattern is darling, too!
I have to admit, this dress gave me some giggles with the flexi attachments flying everywhere with each tiny movement. It was like being in a snow globe or flexi tornado! This is our prize from Cheeky Parrot Boutique, and includes system layer top and glitch pants, system pencil skirt, the flexi attachments for each leg, and an Omega applier if you need one.
Slight change of pace, but I really wanted you to see two of the fun decor type prizes! On the left is the Atlantis Art Rack from Cake Fox Designs, who are #04 in the hunt. The neutral colors make it suitable for wherever you need to enhance your home. On the right, prize #15 is a charming frame from HJM Designs (yep, just like it says in the middle) and I love the starfish and angelfish adorning it. You don't have to have a beach house to do some nautical decorating, so have fun with this!
My nail note of the night is the same as the previous two nights, prize #16 from Rad Designs with their 2 terrific Slink HUDs. The hair note of the night is that we have another [elikatira] Hair Fair gift I hadn't shown you yet, this cute style is called Chantal and comes with the Essentials HUD. I am showing the dip dyed ginger cocoa color.

Hiya everyone! I've got more prizes from the Silk Road Hunt to share, so I hope you all enjoy.
I blogged this toga yesterday, and decided it would go quite well with the prize I wanted to show you first, the statue base which is from Lunar Seasonal Designs. It's called I Wish I Was a Roman Statue and comes in masculine and feminine versions. The pose is wonderful, and the pillar itself has great texturing and pretty vines on it.
One of two gorgeous jewelry sets I've got to show you tonight can be seen here, prize #043 from Never Ever. The ring and necklace each have resizer scripts, as does the men's matching set. Those pretty beads go around to the back as well, so if worn with short hair or an updo you'll have a fun view from behind also.
This beautiful set of jade earrings and necklace is the prize #041 from Designs by Sebastian. They contain a resizer script that didn't seem to be working for me, perhaps a fun SL glitch for the evening hehe, but they are just gorgeous. There is also a necklace with just the center section of jade, not the side ones, for a more simple look. I'll be wearing this again and again for sure!
How about another lovely toga? This is the prize from Miss Darcy #040 and is called Lavinia. The dress is in standard mesh sizes, then the blue stola is separate. It's very cheerful, reminds me of the bright sun of noon and the deep sky of midnight. There is a coordinating men's prize as well.
This is a lot of fun, have a peek at prize #039 by MacMurfin's Readables and Eatables. You'll need to click the picture for a better look, but this is quite stunning. Right click a pillow and sit and you'll be offered tea along with a menu of sitting poses, say yes to allow the tea cup to attach to you and you'll have what you see above. If your avi is hungry, click the table for a food menu and you'll get choices like potato curry, moroccan swiss chard, caramelized fennel and more. Pick the chopsticks and attach those, and you'll get a meal like the below photo.
Doesn't that look yummy? The textures on the various pillows are exquisite, and you can sit multiple avatars so you and your friends can have delightful meals together.
