Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a sampling of another Winter Shop and Hop sim's treats for you, the Gilded sim. This event is extraordinary, with 120 vendors filling 6 sims with discounted offers for you to celebrate the holidays. Two tops to start the evening, on the left you see the evani. ANITA sweater [GIFT] found on the Gilded sim. It comes in a Maitreya rigged size and includes a HUD that lets you tint and show/hide the lace trim as well as turn the alpha mask off and on. On the right I am sporting the Rebel Gal gift called Fluffy Fox Sweater - Print 3. This comfy top is provided in Freya, Isis, and Maitreya sizes, with trees and flowers (poinsettias?) knit into its pattern. With both of these I am wearing the same Delizio jeans in white that I wore yesterday, a marketplace gift with plenty of colors in system layers, Maitreya and Omega appliers.
Don't let the chilly weather make you bundle up if you have a party or event to attend this season; instead slip into this gorgeous gift from Dead Dollz and create some heat! Their flirty Bebe Dress - Petroleum is sized for the Maitreya body and has an asymmetrical hem with slit on the right thigh, deep neckline and straps down and across the back. The gems you see dusted across it can be adjusted with the included HUD which offers 4 colors and some other settings you can experiment with.
This versatile look is our gift from Candy Kitten called Forever Yours, a single piece with fun layered appearance. It comes in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, with a HUD offering 6 patterns for the dress, 5 color choices for the laces, 5 for the bra, 2 for the lace on the bra, and 2 for the trim. The best thing to do is start clicking until you come up with a combo you enjoy, then adjust as needed ;) Okay, I confess that is what I did.
RAMA went all out this season with their gift for us, their Seymour Sequin Dress FATPACK. It consists of Maitreya and Slink Physique sizes each in 14 different mainly gem-themed colors, an impressive array to be sure. They are champagne (seen on the right above), diamond, emerald, gold, jade, jet, onyx, peridot (left), rose quartz, ruby, sapphire, silver, tanzanite, and topaz. Whew! It reminded me of a friend who dated her now-husband for 7 years before they married, and for every occasion he bought her jewelry with a different gemstone so she had a wild collection of earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, I think even an anklet or two. He finished with the diamond engagement ring. Just think, in SL we can accomplish all that with a HUD, hehe.
Speaking of the versatility of HUDs, this fantastic set is the Pretty Deceased gift called Scherry Outfit. It is comprised of the fur, thong, bra in 3 patterns, and skirt in the same 3 patterns (foxy, snowy, and tartan) each in Maitreya and Legacy sizes. The HUDs are so impressive, each with plenty of features...the fur HUD has 6 color choices for the pearls and you can adjust the glow, while the thong HUD (labeled top HUD) has 6 colors to choose from. The skirt's HUD has 5 sizes and 5 colors for the puff dangling from the chain belt, 9 tag quotes plus on/off for the tag, an on/off for each of the 2 chains (labeled A and B) and 6 chain metals for each individually. Get creative and have fun with this one, these HUDs will let you customize this look to suit your personal tastes.
I am still emotionally overwhelmed from the hockey game I watched, not just because we won but because so much was done to honor and support our player who is facing a cancer battle. It was our first home game since his diagnosis, so his fans got to show him how much we care and are behind him. My favorite player was back from his concussion and helped lift the team's spirits, as he is an energetic playmaker, and it just felt good to see them looking out for each other. Meanwhile I am working on plans for the next week or so, and it is a challenge but will be worth the effort. How does the time fly by so quickly this time of year? Please take time whenever you can to indulge in some self-care, remember you can't help anyone else have a good time if you are overly stressed. Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating the 6th anniversary of the Kustom9 event, which has exclusive offers from many talented designers across the grid. In addition, as part of the anniversary round there are gifts for all members of their free Kustom9 gift. Just click the sign on the wall near where you land, and there is a sample of the gift box that most of the designers have used to hold those generous treats for us. The round is open until the 9th of November so you have over 2 weeks to visit.
My first look comes from AGATA mode, called Helena Dress Kustom9 gift. It is fitted for the Maitreya mesh body, and includes a HUD with 7 color choices for the top section, two of which you can see above. The long sleeve contrasted by the strap and bare shoulder on the left is a unique look, and the hem is slightly off-kilter for even more quirky beauty.
For my next look, I decided to ramp up the drama by adding an accessory to a daring bodysuit. The LAZYBONES - High Cut Bodysuit - Vamp comes in Freya, Isis, Slink, and Maitreya sizing, with a cutout where the teeth open to flash a little bit of cleavage. The collar is our gift from CULTE called SALEM COLLAR-RLV, and is provided in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh sizes. Give it a click for a menu where you can turn RLV on or off, along with many other features including poses.
I have another duo to show you, starting with the Anna Dress Kustom9 Gift by MARTI. It comes in a single Maitreya size, and has a coppery texture with major side slit on the left hip and double straps with one sliding delicately down the right shoulder. For this look I paired it with the Rebel Gal gift of their Diamond Sexy Choker Fatpack, which works via HUD and has 4 metals and 9 diamond colors including the rainbow option seen in the inset. You can click the choker itself for a resize script if necessary.
Need something cozy to wear on a cool autumn night? Well then be sure to claim the group gift from unA. which is their Carol sweater. It is provided in a Maitreya size and has extra long sleeves in subtly striped black. I am wearing it with the Delizio marketplace gift (that appears here on my blog fairly often) in blue, one of several denim colors included as system layers plus Maitreya and Omega appliers.
The Delizio jeans are still on, but the top is a quite different gift :) Luas is offering their Witchy Top as a group gift for Kustom9, a sleeveless crop style with a high neckline in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Legacy, with a HUD that lets you pick from 6 fabric colors and 6 stickers for the design on the front. There are 3 images each in black or white, and the one on the right reads "We are the granddaughters of the witches you weren't able to burn". The other image not shown I believe to be Baphomet, symbolized by a goat and subtly seen in the pentagram above on the left.
I wanted to mention that I had some fun exploring older system layer skins in my inventory to see how they looked on mesh bodies and heads, leading to my use tonight of a group gift from over 4 years ago. Tonight's skin is the 7 Deadly Skins August 2015 group gift in Marshmellow, the version with cleavage as seen in that vampire bodysuit ;) I think it looks beautiful on the Genus head and Maitreya body, and the only oddity I noticed is the skin around the fingernails, barely visible in any of these photos. I know that Slink included a set of tintable tattoo layers in their Redux body packages for covering the tips of fingers and toes that BOM has made look a bit off, and I just found this similar gift on the marketplace but have not tried it yet. 7DS has been releasing BOM system layers that do have the updated nail areas for at least a month and a half, so their newer creations are perfect for those of us who are trying out Bakes On Mesh.
