Rez Day Presents

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a celebration of rez days, which is the SL equivalent of a birthday since it is the date you created your avatar and account. Mine was Saturday so I was able to claim several gifts from around the grid from a few generous designers who like to help us celebrate :) You can find the exact date of your rez day in your profile, so on that date you can claim these same wonderful gifts. I can hardly believe that I have now been in Second Life for 14 years, with my only break being a couple of months when I had major surgery and couldn't sit at a computer at all. The milestone made me reminisce over how things have changed, clothing from prims and sculpties to mesh, and hairstyles from flexi to mesh. Speaking of mesh, I think mesh bodies and heads were the most revolutionary aspect of the changes, with Bento and BOM being right up there. The memories I have of places I worked, friends who have come and gone, and good times with Xan made me wistful so I am still feeling a bit mushy. 

First I visited Prism where I was delighted to claim their Dawn Peasant Dress by Jezzixa White Wildflowers. The name is a coincidence ;) This lovely bare shouldered dress has wide lace trim at the hem and soft ruffles up top, with a fun herbal texture. The gift includes 5 standard and 5 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. 

Next I clicked the rez day gift sign at Sweet E's to receive their Daisy Doris Dress with HUD. It comes in classic S, M, L sizes plus versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 4 pretty floral patterns to choose from. I am a big fan of halter necklines, and that single strap all the way down the back is a fun detail.

Speaking of patterns, the one on this gift is perfect for a rez day or SL birthday. It is the [KS] Natalie II in Happy Birthday from Krystal's, and it is a strapless dress with full skirt and bold belt tied with a bow and long strands down the front. It is provided in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. Did you notice the word BIRTHDAY on it, and the balloons and party hats?

Entice has two gifts for your rez day celebrations, so you definitely don't want to miss out on your special day! The decorated cupcakes (is that an alpaca face?) are an ideal choice for a party, your own rez day or a friend's, and the others are festive too. It was a pleasant weekend here, with a nice visit to the farmers market and then most of my SL time spent working on a certain challenging gridwide hunt that involves spinning cubes....I really think this batch of hunt prizes will be a delight to blog and ready to tempt you all into some hunting :) That is not the only hunt I've been working on either, since a popular event decided to celebrate their anniversary with a free hunt this year instead of loading their crowded sim with group gifts. there is always something brewing in SL, which certainly explains how it has captured my attention and imagination all these years. Rhythm of the Night

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is another handful of prizes from the Womenstuff Hunt, because there are still so many that I have not shared yet even though they are truly worth the effort of finding. Just follow the hints on the hunt's website to find the red t-shirts for $0L or $1L, quite a bargain for high quality gifts especially considering that some are exclusives to this hunt and will only be available this month in those hidden shirts. Another tip I may not have mentioned enough is that the shirts can be resized and a few were surprisingly tiny, so don't be afraid to use your camera controls to really zoom in close when you find something that matches the hint.

My first look this evening is the Carnaval Paisley Set from {Poeme}, a $1L treat waiting for you inside their red t-shirt. The tied top comes in fitmesh standard sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, while the matching wrap skirt is provided in standard sizing plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The included alpha layers help ensure that this outfit will work for most classic and mesh avatars. 

We go from a mini skirt to a maxi skirt, with equally pretty results here :) This is the dollarbie prize from MG Designs, their Laura Top & Skirt, which are well coordinated between the solid plummy purple and the purple/gold pattern on white background. Each piece is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. I do appreciate the Boho flavor this outfit has.

Sweet Distractions has one free t-shirt that contains 3 generous gifts, so consider me sweetly distracted! Two can be seen here, starting with the S/D Cropped Halter Tank in Black which is provided in system/BOM layers along with an Omega applier. It looks terrific with the S/D Mesh Folded Mini Skirt in Red Nylon, which comes in a Maitreya size. You can wear either of these with whatever you prefer, I just found it convenient to show them together since they do pair wonderfully.

The third gift inside the Sweet Distractions shirt is this S/D Mesh Bell-sleeve Dress - Teal Vintage Lace, which has been created to fit the Maitreya mesh body. I enjoy the flared sleeves and asymmetrical neckline, and simply must mention how lovely that color is. I am quite fond of lace as it is, so that is just an extra special touch.

My final look of the evening is our free prize from Krystal's, and is the kind of thing I genuinely can say you will need to see in person to appreciate. It is their [KS] Carra in Wet Turquoise, and that fun aquatic texture you see is animated! Imagine the appearance of rippling water, and what a fun choice for a bikini that can be worn in or alongside a beach or pool. Summer is definitely here, with high temperatures and some scattered thunderstorms making their way through my area. Wonderful Womenstuff

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have just a few more prizes to share from the Womenstuff Hunt, the impressively sized gridwide $0L or $1L hunt that has had me hopping all month. There are over 130 stores taking part, some with multiple prizes, which explains why it has been featured in so many of my November posts :) I have been so impressed by the quality of the gifts, many of which are exclusive for this hunt, which makes it even more important to find all those red/green/brown t-shirts if you like what you see. The website will tell you which are exclusive, along with providing hints and information on if you need to skip a store. 

For my first look tonight, we have the MadCatCreations prize for just $1L called Winter Jumper and Skirt. They are linked together to wear as a single unit, in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Legacy mesh bodies. The blue denim skirt peeks out from beneath the knit texture of the sweater, which is in a lovely shade of purple.

You too can look pretty in pink when you locate this prize from Robot Dolly. Their RD - Piper - leather outfit is just $1L, and includes the bra top and matching skirt in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. There are plenty of fun details to enjoy, like the delicate bow in the back or the zipper in front of the skirt.

Next we see the free prize from Krystal's called [KS] Kendra in Sparkles. The high neck, sleeveless sheath dress comes in a standard fitted version along with sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 6 texture choices, all of which are animated with those playful sparkles that actually pulse and change size. We definitely need to wear this to a club soon!

Their Dora Dress comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions, all with that built in harness in a slighter shade of denim. Seams always make a difference with denim, and the ones on this dress really draw the eye upward to the neckline, and to the slit on the left thigh.

My final look of the evening can be found inside the t-shirt at Tori's Stylez, a free gift called TS-Bikini-Leah. If you are heading to a beach, pool, or just one of the many beautiful warm weather sims in SL, be sure to "pack" this colorful and cute treat. The bikini top and bottom, and matching fringed dress (cover-up) all come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and you can combine them however you wish for strolling a boardwalk or going for a quick swim.

Whew, it was certainly a full day and evening here, and I'm glad to be home relaxing with all of you :) The cooking in advance for Thanksgiving (things that can be frozen) went well, and everything else is planned or ordered for next week. I genuinely had fun with my mom in the kitchen, giggling over random things and just enjoying our conversations. Romance and Spring Are in the Air

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more selections from the Wash Cart Sale, whose new round is themed Spring is in the Air. Everything is just $10L on these carts, from over 70 designers and with plenty of clothing and accessories for women, men, and even children, as well as home decor, textures, and more. I suggest treating yourself to something new for Valentine's Day, whether you will be spending it alone, with friends, or with a special someone, because you deserve to feel pampered. Speaking of Valentine's Day, I also stopped by an event called #TPP Valentine or Not, where you can find an array of offers including a special bag at each display which holds a gift for between $0L and $10L. I picked up a few, and decided to share them so you might be inspired to visit there too.

Next we head to the #TPP Valentine or Not event, and peek inside the gift bag from Third Moon Creations to find this G!A Special Night Valentine for free. It comes in XS, S, M, and L sizes and includes a HUD with 3 different textures, two of which are shown above. I love the heart shaped bead on the back, and you could wear this as a nightie or add some pants/jeans/leggings to wear it as a fun shirt.

The gift bag from Krystal's Exotic Gems holds this [KS] Patsy in Floral Sifu dress. For me, each season's traditional colors have their own charm, and I do enjoy the pastels common for spring.
