Happy Anniversary Cosmopolitan

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a celebration of the Cosmopolitan Event and their 14th anniversary, part two since it's their second round of April. They are each about two weeks long, so this one just opened today and goes until the 25th :) Their group is free to join, and there are plenty of generous gifts (mostly in black bags) as a nod to the special occasion. I've been a fan of Cosmo for ages and am so delighted that they are still as successful as always, so I offer huge congratulations to them and best wishes for the future.

I started out feeling a bit Barbie-like (the hair and the colors I chose on the left, LOL) in a very good way, with our [hh] Dayra Skirt Set gift from Hilly Haalan. The halter top and miniskirt are each provided in Gen X Classic, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers 30 options for each piece, mostly solids but some fun patterns as well. There's also a BOM panty included that is tintable, so it can match any of the colors you choose. 

Sometimes our gifts are playful separates that can be combined with each other or anything we already have and love :) The FashionNatic - Asami Top GIFT COSMO is a slip of a tube top in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Nerido, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies. The soft colors and daisy pattern are lovely touches. I added some pizazz with the Jingle Belle Shorts by LAP Pink, with an irresistible sequined pattern that is ready to sparkle and shimmer when you move. We receive Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn sizing, along with a HUD to choose from non-PBR or PBR texturing. This way you can see the sequins no matter which viewer you are currently running.

Blackstone has a fantastic gift for us too, their Eisha Set - Petrol. The deep turquoise color is captivating, and I'm in love with the playful sheer ruffles on the also translucent striped blouse :) It and our ruffled skirt are provided in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD for the belt (built into the skirt) offering 20 belt hues and 6 metals. 

Here I swapped out the blouse for our charming ::insanya:: Celine Top Gift. Halter tops always catch my attention, and this one has a pale blue floral pattern that is perfect for spring. I decided to wrap up this post with a tasty treat, which would be the .FOODIE. Mini Birthday Cake gift :) There are left and right hand versions, each with a hold pose built in. The square cake is decorated with a bow and has gold Happy Birthday lettering in front of it on the square plate. What flavor do we think it is? My guess is strawberry, but with our imaginations it can be anything we wish.

It was a warm and decent day here, with my thermometer showing 73.6 in this room at the moment. It was 76.4 when I was in here for my support group session, so you'd better believe the fan was on the whole time! My hockey team made the playoffs for the first time in 6 years, so that is worth celebrating too. I probably raised the heat in here by screaming so much, LOL, but it was a really exciting game that had to go to overtime and then a shootout. Tomorrow I've got a dentist visit (cleaning) so no blog post as I'll be in a post-nitrous haze, probably assisted by the muscle relaxer that has been helping some with my neck. I'm somewhat nervous but maybe a little less than the last few dental appointments, just a minor positive I am noticing :) Meanwhile I hope you're all having a magnificent day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're still at Cosmopolitan for their 12th anniversary celebration, at least the first half of their April rounds :) One thing I found intriguing about tonight's batch is that it is mostly tops, so if you have a favorite skirt or pair of jeans (etc.) that you need just the right tank top, blouse, or similar to wear above it, please be sure to click all the gift crates at Cosmo! You'll need their free group tag active, and then you get to enjoy dozens of thoughtful gifts as Cosmopolitan celebrates a dozen years of success. I wish them a dozen more and then some!

We start out with the Faida - Fanny noir top gift. This beauty is a spaghetti strap tank top with lots of lace, in sizes for Hulixa, Khara, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The neutral black makes it ideal to wear with just about anything, and I've reached for my oft-worn Delizio jeans in blue. This marketplace fatpack gift has several colors in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega, and you're about to see them in several of my photos tonight :)

Another terrific gift I couldn't wait to share is the FashionNatic - Bee Top GIFT seen here. This cropped plaid blouse is sleeveless and mostly open in the front, with a playful chain draped around beneath it so it's got a very sexy, edgy vibe. It fits Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. Part of me really wants to wear it with a studded leather miniskirt next :)

I think adorsy knew some of us would be craving floral patterns for spring, so they selected this gorgeous pink rose print for their Cosmopolitan Top Gift 2024. Then they trimmed it with black lace for fun contrast, and offered it to us in sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. The round opening where it's gathered on the side is a great detail too, and the low neckline really shows off cleavage!

I had a busy day which included a trip to the grocery store for the first time in ages, so that was important even if a bit overwhelming. Clearly I got through it somehow, since I'm here and able to type ;) that doesn't mean it was fun or easy, and my weekend is going to generally suck because the housemate is having the dreaded houseguest here for a very long weekend (until Tuesday). Housepest is staying to see the eclipse on Monday since it's a better view in this part of the country than where he lives, and he doesn't drive at night so that's why the stay is extended until the following morning. At least I have dinner at my parents' tomorrow to look forward to, then hiding in this room until therapy Sunday. I'll probably watch the eclipse with them, but I'm not as excited as they are, and housemate bought 3 pairs of the special glasses so I am expected to join in. More Twisted Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue down the Twisted Fall 2019 Hunt path, to find free prizes inside the bloodstained black cubes. The theme is Damned, so you can expect our gifts to be on the dark side. My inner goth is enjoying them for sure :) There are no hints on their website, but if you join the group inworld you can request one if you need it, and there are easels at many locations with information about side hunts, gachas, exclusive sales, and more. As I mentioned yesterday, there can be up to 13 visible decoys in addition to the real cube bearing a gift, so keep looking until you find one for sale with contents.

My first look this evening is an elegant gown from Dreaming Thicket, their Twisted Women's Gift called Fleur Dress. It comes in standard mesh sizes as well as a Maitreya version, and is really a lovely formal look. There is a men's gift in this same cube, so just the one to find among any decoys.

:.C!L.: has this striking gown waiting in their cube, once you find the one that isn't a decoy of course ;) It is called Morticia Red Ball Gown Set, and starts with the exquisite gown in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. Then we can add the laced ribbons for each sleeve, and the overlap and underlap which are flexi skirt pieces for each side then the back. They add movement and fullness, both beautiful benefits. The built in collar really adds something special to this look as well.

Women Only Hunt Time

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to start sharing prizes from the Women Only Hunt 5, which started a few days ago (the 4th) and runs until the 18th, so time is of the essence. There is also a round of the Men Only Hunt happening at the same time, with some of the same stores taking part. For the Women Only Hunt you are looking for a coconut half (the men's hunt object is a mustache) and they dispense prizes for free when you find and click them. There are hints on the website, which you will need to have open for all the landmarks as well since there is no HUD for this round like the previous rounds. There are plenty of terrific prizes, so let's have a few peeks....

First we have this sexy look from .epoch. called woh. strawberry madness. The bra and panties are each provided in Freya and Maitreya sizes, with slender stripes sprinkled with sweet berries. I love the slashed openings in the middle of the bra front and on the hips of the panties.

This alluring dress with halter is our prize from 1313 Mockingbird Lane called Tamra Dress - Roses. As you can tell, the halter is a separate piece, and they are each in a single size that fit my Maitreya body perfectly. It looks equally charming with and without the halter, although the bows attached to the halter add something special.

I always feel like I need to do some sort of disclaimer when I post anything specifying male and female, since I realize that basic avatar gender in SL is binary but in RL it is much more complicated. More WOH3 Prizes

Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time once again to peek at some prizes from the Womens Only Hunt 3, and this time I coincidentally wound up showing one adorable bikini with several different types of shirts/tops. I like the idea of visiting the beach and having ways to change the look of your suit just by wearing different tops that aren't even meant to be swimsuits, it keeps things interesting :) So for the hunt, first you will want to grab the free HUD at the hunt office, then you will click each store name to teleport there and look for the hidden coconut. The hints for finding them are on the HUD and on the website, so all you need to do is explore each store and figure out where the coconut half is hidden.

This bright and cheerful bikini is our prize from uh-oh called Ella Sweet Summer Bikini. It is included in system layers along with a HUD for Maitreya and Omega, so most of our classic or mesh body needs should be well covered. The intriguing tattoo on my right leg is another prize, courtesy of Endless Pain Tattoos and named Seriana. As you can see, she is a lovely mermaid whose tail drapes around the calf, and whose hair flows majestically around our thigh area. The shading is amazing, isn't it? The prize includes system layers plus Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, Slink, and TMP appliers. 

The bikini bottom and tattoo stayed put for the remainder of these photos, and I slipped out of the bikini top to show you this Raver Top - Hearts which is our gift from Insanya for finding their coconut. In addition to a HUD with 10 lovely colors, you will find several mesh sizes packed inside: Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Belleza Isis Perky, Belleza Venus Perky, Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya Lara, TMP, and an Unrigged version. I am only showing two of the 10 great colors here, I chose the hot pink to match the bikini bottoms and the blue because it made me think of the ocean.

One last look for the night, this slender tube top is from *HolliPocket* and is called Summery Pop Floral MAITREYA so I'm sure you can guess what size is included ;) I love the tiny pink and yellow flower pattern, and on a white background it will really accentuate a tan. Just because I don't/can't tan in RL doesn't mean my avi cannot appreciate a slightly deeper skin tone in the warmer months, and I have gotten into that habit over the years of making her skin shade match the season somewhat. The top works really nicely with those bikini bottoms too, which really bring out the pink.

I feel like this week is never going to end, hard to explain but I will be eager to see the end of this one. All my plans for the next few days have been changed and not for the better, mostly canceled actually but the one alteration is my favorite weekly market opening two hours late and with half the parking (already horrendous) to celebrate the neighboring brewery's birthday. I am actually allergic to beer (the hops), and not fond of being around noon drinkers like last year. The vendors will be there for 7 hours instead of their usual 4, a long stressful day and challenging for those who sell cold products like ice cream, cupcakes with real buttercream, refrigerated meals, etc. But I will still go and support them, there are terrific people there who make each weekend brighter for me :) I hope all of you are having a beautiful day/evening, magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Twisted Rescue

Hiya everyone! My blog post might not make much sense at first glance, but it is just to touch on the two main sources of tonight's featured items, the Twisted Hunt and the Rally To Rescue event. As I mentioned yesterday, the Twisted Hunt is billed as the hardest hunt in SL and will have you searching for green spinning cubes. The theme for spring 2017 is Infinity and the color is multi-green so there are a lot of interpretations of those among the prizes, which run the gamut from clothing (male and female) to accessories to some really fun home decor and more. We are one week into Rally To Rescue, and it runs until the 20th of the month so you have time still to visit and help out those animals who need our protection. I will never understand how people can be so heartless about companion animals, but grateful that the majority of us do care and want what's best for them. All proceeds from the many items for sale at the event are being donated to non-profit, no-kill volunteer animal rescue organizations, and more information can be found at kiosks at the event. You can donate without purchase as well, just visit and don't forget to bring a friend :) 

Are you ready to get physical? I sure am in this Twisted prize from [AMBI] called Twisted Ascension Sports Set. It is worth noting that there is a male prize included from Horr Menswear of sneakers which every guy could use for those casual times. The outfit you see includes the shorts and layered top, each in standard mesh sizes plus versions for Curvy, Fine, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya, and TMP bodies. I was quite taken with the infinity symbol on the shorts, and the fun but still practical styling of the layers of the tank tops. Speaking of infinity symbols, did you catch the flash of green on the nape of my neck? That is one of the three versions of the prize from Deluxe Body Factory, which I am about to show you in more detail.

This shimmery tattoo set is the prize from Deluxe Body Factory, their Infinity Omega Tattoos in green, and they are each, you guessed it, an Omega applier for most mesh bodies. From top to bottom we have Butterfly, Love, and Symbol so you can choose the one you prefer at any given time. On a personal note, in RL I have a gorgeous safety pin on my coat with an infinity symbol and the word love that looks a lot like the center image but no butterflies, so I am partial to that one. When people notice it and comment, I tell them it isn't about politics for me, it's about love, so the pin reflects that. I apologize that the image seems to have saved at a smaller size than normal, and hope you can still see the beautiful tattoos well.

More fresh green, and another infinity symbol, but this time it is a snake which I believe is a symbol from Greek mythology. *googles quickly* Yes, it is called an Ouroboros and either a dragon or serpent eating its own tail with many meanings throughout history. Just find that tricky little cube at Syren's Song to claim their Twisted Infinity dress in standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. The short sleeves are great for spring, and it is short enough to be used as either a mini dress or a long tunic to wear over some simple leggings or capris. That shade of green is really striking!

The panels with the gorgeous animal print will remind you that it benefits animal welfare, while the alluring style is sure to earn you some compliments. Long emotional day, I am wishing I had napped and not much looking forward to my chiropractor appointment tomorrow afternoon. I will feel better after of course, just the hassle of going out and any temporary discomfort from the treatment is making me wish it were over already. Women Only Hunt Wonders

Hiya everyone! I have been working on another free gridwide hunt, the Women Only Hunt, which runs until the 18th of the month. This one is a bit different, as to get around you must get the HUD from the starting location and click each number to open the map. There are several dozen stores who have hidden a prize for us in their $0L coconut half, and the HUD gives you the hint for each store when you click the number. Here are just a handful of the many wonderful gifts to be found...

First we have a fantastic dress from Perch, their WOH Beach Dress Gift. It is provided in 5 standard sizes and 5 fitmesh sizes, so an excellent range for many bodies. I love the nautical print and the gentle drape, very flattering of our curves. You probably couldn't help but notice my sunglasses, well those are a hunt prize too, from Insanya called Cali Sunglasses. There are 2 pairs included, with and without a rotate script, and a HUD with 10 colors for the frames, 6 colors for the lenses, 4 opacity choices, a resize script and more. This gauzy looking maxi dress is our prize from American Bazaar called the Mandinga dress. Those colors are amazing, and the style is dreamy for summer. It puts me in mind of a secluded tropical beach, somewhere warm and peaceful. You get this beauty in standard mesh sizes.

One last look for the night, this is the Satin Camisole Purple prize from Goth1c0. It is provided in an impressive 13 mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. I look to be daydreaming about where to head in this sizzling dress, since SL is full of possibilities.

I am so tired of adulting lately, LOL, today was an eye doctor visit with drops in my eyes that dilated my pupils, then I had to go outside in the brightest sunlight imaginable. I don't think my eyes have forgiven me yet ;) I'm ridiculously nearsighted so they have to be extra thorough, and my new glasses (which I almost never wear, I'm used to contacts) had a surcharge for the high prescription that the employee had never encountered before.
