More Alli&Ali Hunt Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading to the Alli&Ali mainstore for the second half of their Free Dove mini hunt, so 5 more prizes of fun hairstyles for free. For these black bags with hot pink logo on them, we need the A&A store group tag active to claim them, and that is free to join so they won't cost you a thing. The best advice I can give about finding the prizes here is to wear some comfy shoes because you will be walking around and around, up lots of ramps to visit several floors of the store which is packed with just about any style you can imagine and then some :) The hunt prizes are primarily female (some could be worn unisex) but they do carry lots of men's styles here, including facial hair, so please enjoy your visit and bring friends of any gender. I also needed clothing of course, so I returned to The Free Dove and chose a fantastic, versatile group gift from Hilly Haalan. They have a small individual display at The Free Dove which should be right where my landmarks brings you. 

Let's start with the dress details this time, which is the [hh] Alisa Dress gift from Hilly Haalan. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies included, with an impressive HUD that offers 35 textures (mix of solids and patterns) for the main dress, 35 colors for the belt, 35 for the belt straps, and 5 for the belt eyelets. Think of all the potential mixes there! :) My hairdo is the #6 prize from Alli&Ali called A&A Calandria Hair Pink Colors. It comes with a wonderful HUD with 16 color options, multiple styles (6 buttons, most of these gifts have 4 of those active), resize, and brightness off/on. All of the hairs tonight have similar HUDs so we can fine tune our looks.

Next I changed to the A&A Daria Hair Pink Colors hunt prize, a unique style that reminds me of either anime or sci-fi fantasy. It was a very nice weekend here, with the Saturday farmers market and then Sunday's visit with my parents to see my grandmother for Easter. It had been since Thanksgiving since I saw her last, and well over a year before that one, so spending time with her again was a sweet treat ♥. My mom made manicotti but had some trouble filling the pasta tubes, they tasted delicious though! She usually does stuffed shells, but has had trouble finding the gluten free shells in the stores so the manicotti seemed like a decent alternative. She used the same filling recipe so of course they tasted just as good as her shells. Now I'm just tired from a busy weekend, but wanted to get this post in while there is still plenty of time before the hunt ends :) I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Alli&Ali at The Free Dove

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some prizes to share from the main Caring Hands Hunt at The Free Dove for April, several colorful hairstyles from Alli&Ali. The ones tonight are all found at The Free Dove in black bags with their logo (black/pink heart) on them. We need the "Blessed by a Dove" group tag from The Free Dove's group (free to join) to claim them, and of course that tag comes in handy since it entitles you to claim all the free gifts in the building too :) Speaking of which, I needed clothing to wear too so I picked up the two group gifts from Graffitiwear while I was there. My first look starts with the A&A Tsarina Hair Pink Colors which is prize #1 in the hunt. It comes with a very useful HUD that offers 16 color options as well as multiple styling choices (6 numbered buttons, 4 seemed to be active), resizing, and brightness on/off. There is a very nice variety among the colors, with ombres and highlights among the possibilities. All of our hair gifts you'll see tonight have similar HUDs so they can all be adjusted to suit your personal preferences. How fun is this wild style? :) The A&A Poppy Hair Pink Colors has two very full high pigtails, but with the style buttons you can wear it with just the left tail, right tail, or neither as I did on the right above if both tails do not suit your mood. The base of the style is a great layered bob, ever so slightly tousled for a flirty appearance.

My final look of the evening features the A&A Trissae Hair Pink Colors prize, a cute shoulder length style with layers and options to change the look of the top quite a bit. Obviously I am fond of ombres, LOL, since I seem to have gravitated towards them in these images...the pastels are useful for the Easter season if you are wearing soft hued clothing, but honestly they are all going to have a special appeal for everyone who enjoys playing with fantasy hair colors in SL. *raises hand* I am still learning to branch out and be braver about that, mainly to keep myself from looking the same in all of these blog posts.

I had a busy but productive day, and a nice dinner with my parents while we finalized plans for Easter. I am undecided on if I will be blogging Sunday night when I get home from my grandmother's, since I will be taking my usual Saturday off too and then next Tuesday for the cavity filling. Right now we'll call it a maybe, and if not then I want to take this time to wish you all a fantastic weekend and a very Happy Easter for those who celebrate ♥. My final look of the evening is a cute casual outfit that will be a good choice for my weekend plans of gridwide hunting :) It is the Delicatt couture - Outfit january 2021 free gift at their display, and consists of the tank top and leather pants each in lucky 13 mesh sizes (5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink). I made good use of the provided alpha layers, which make me grateful for BOM every time I find myself using them since they are more precise than the alpha cuts for most mesh bodies.

It has been another adventure of a day, thanks to an email and text alert sent by the water company telling us to boil our water because of pathogens related to the flooding. Then a few hours later they sent a correction, the notice had been sent in error and we do not need to boil the water before using it after all. I'd already brushed my teeth with bottled water because I was in a hurry, LOL, so it was a weird surprise to find out it was unnecessary. Dinner at my parents' was very nice, and I had a great time looking through old photos that always lead to interesting conversations. Tomorrow I am going to the farmers market, and I am taking the evening off from blogging as usual. Then since tomorrow is my rez day (14 years!) I will probably work that into a blog post. Noirette Sim at Hair Fair

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more Hair Fair gifts to show you, all of which in this post are from the Noirette sim. There are 3 sims filled with offerings and all purchases are between 15-100% donated to the Wigs for Kids charity. We are helping children who need wigs because of cancer or alopecia, and it can prevent bullying along with restoring the confidence of kids who are in the healing process. The designers have some wonderful offers, and there are several gifts for free or almost free :) If you want to contribute to the charity, there are donation kiosks scattered around the sims that you can pay any amount. The event is open until September 1st, so there is about a week remaining to stop by.

I am enjoying another dress from the -siss boom- lucky boards tonight, this one being their lovely Peppermints Pastel. This adorable hairstyle is our gift from .EscalateD. called Castie - Rainbows. It includes two versions that each have two sections that can be tinted individually with the HUD, with V1 being top and bottom layers while V2 (on the right above) is left and right halves. EMO-tions has a great gift waiting for us, their *JAY* style in Black&White. The beautiful braids are pulled off the face, then cascade down the back. There are also 16 playful texture choices, ombres and mixtures of fantasy colors that are sure to delight. Maybe it's because of the cream color of the dress, but I feel like this would make a gorgeous wedding hairstyle especially if you are planning a fantasy type event. The delicate blossoms sure contribute to that feeling.

My final look of the evening comes from no.match and is called NO_PENNY HAIR FAIR GIFT. Time To DAZZLE

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading back to DAZZLE and their 3rd anniversary round, whose theme is "Fashion Is a Style of Dance". Working for the Weekend

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some terrific treats to share, starting with a DAZZLE exclusive hair from Alli&Ali Designs. The style is a glamorous updo with curled tendrils, and I personally prefer updos for showing off the back of fancy tops or dresses without the hair hiding anything. I also visited Kamiri, who have several group gifts available for various inworld groups including their own and Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News (MGSN). I am delighted to share some of those with you this evening too.

Our first look is the + Kamiri + Ziwa Ballgown Teal, which is their 7000 member group gift to celebrate a milestone in style. It starts with the top and pants in system layers plus appliers for Omega, Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, and TMP. I am also enjoying two more MGSN group gifts from Kamiri, their Fabiana Top and Fabiana Shorts. Each comes in a Maitreya size, and each has a texture HUD with 3 color choices for us to have fun with. The top's other color is a bright blue, and the shorts have another color on their HUD that you'll see in the next photo.

Here we get to see the Blonde Colors of the Timeless hair, which may be the most flattering with my eyebrows :) I also think that blonde shades look particularly pretty with all the highlights that A&A's textures have, maybe because it reminds me of summers spent in the sunshine. I kept the Fabiana Shorts on to wear with another MGSN group gift, the + Kamiri + Primizia Sequin Top. It comes in a Maitreya size with a 3-texture HUD, and is intriguing with the high neck in the front and deep plunge in the back. It is dressy enough to wear with a skirt, yet casual enough to go with shorts or jeans, it just depends on your mood and tastes. 

My final look of the evening features a gift you can find at DAZZLE this month, the A&A Timeless Unicorn Colors. There is a gift box in front of their display that contains it, just purchase for $0L to claim it. There are so many playful color combinations, you can tell I had lots of fun with the HUD. You can also see in the inset, a closer look at one of the two sides of the decor of the hair, very appropriately designed to look like the hands of a clock. As for my dress, that is another MGSN group gift from Kamiri called Cristina Xmas Dress. The top and pants come in appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, Slink, and TMP, with the inner skirt panel in standard mesh sizes. The collar, sleeves, and beaded belt all have built in resize scripts so you can adjust them if necessary, and the bows on the collar and cuffs are lovely. 

My plans for the weekend are going to take up most of my day tomorrow, so there will be no blog post tomorrow night but I'll be back Sunday with something else special for you to enjoy. Welcome Weekend

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am happy to show you another Fashion Dazzle exclusive offer, this time the hair I am wearing in all of the photos from Alli&Ali. In addition you will see a free gift found at Fashion Dazzle, plus a few gifts from the Free Dove mini hunt by Emerald Couture. This hunt offers 10 prizes hidden in light green leaves, most at Free Dove but a few at their mainstore, and all you need to do is activate your Free Dove group tag, locate them, and give them a click. Each prize contains a matching male and female gift, so this hunt is beneficial for everyone.

First we have a look at two Fashion Dazzle items from Alli&Ali, one is a free gift and the other is their exclusive offer for the round. My full, luxurious hair is A&A Lorri Hair Hazel, and believe it or not this shade is a free gift just for visiting the event! As for the exclusive, that would be the beautiful A&A Lorri Pearls & Flower Hairband which has a built in resize script, so while it was designed for the Lorri hair (you can find other shades of the hair for sale at Fashion Dazzle too) it could be worn with other styles as well. Just $99L for the hairband, so it is a reasonable price for something so versatile. My outfit is prize #1 from the Emerald Couture mini hunt, found at Free Dove, called Soak Up the Sun Outfit Green. Find the hidden leaf and get the top and skirt each in sizes for standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP. The matching sandals are in Belleza, Maitreya, Slink High, and TMP sizes. There is also a coordinating mens' prize inside, the guys are certainly thought of in this hunt and at Free Dove in general.

As someone who has always loved the movie Grease, I was delighted with this next gift from leaf #2 at Free Dove. The ladies' prize is the EC Pink Ladies Jacket, in standard mesh sizes plus Hourglass and Physique versions, in a soft rosy shade with cropped motorcycle jacket styling and Pink Ladies splashed across the back. You can easily layer a shirt beneath, and wear any pants, shorts, or skirt of your choosing with this fun prize. I chose a free gift I picked up across the way at Fashion Dazzle from Gypsy Chic, their GC High Waist Rolled Leg Jeans Lace. These come in 4 fitmesh sizes along with Slink and Maitreya, and have just the right touches of lace to make them stand out in a crowd of denim. By the way, the male prize inside this leaf is a T-Birds jacket, so the guys can be a dashing Danny Zuko or one of his awesome buddies.

Our next prize, found in the #3 leaf, is perfect for when a floral mood hits and we want to surround ourselves with pretty blooms. It is called EC Florabunda Sundress, and comes in plenty of mesh sizes to suit any body: 5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The bright burst of colors from the flowers really can brighten an SL day or evening.

I happily wore this pretty outfit yesterday while gridwide hunting, it seemed a natural choice since it is classy, casual, and great for the final traces of summer. It is prize #4 and called EC Bo Womens Summer Outfit (yes, there is a Mens outfit in there too) consisting of top, shorts, and sandals. The top and shorts each include standard fitmesh sizes as well as Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine, while our sandals are for Slink Flat feet.

As you can tell from my title, I am already looking ahead to a fun weekend :) It was a clear but windy day here, at least for the several hours I was out and about we had no rain. I am still worried for everyone in Hurricane Irma's path, and will continue to hope that everyone can be evacuated safely who needs to be, including the pets who rely on their humans to keep them safe. Hurry to the Hair Fair

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing a sampling of the gifts available at the Hair Fair 2017 from the Blonde sim, one of four sims packed with new hairstyles from so many of your favorite (and possible new favorite) hair designers, each of which has a set donation amount ranging from 15% all the way to 100% to the charity Wigs for Kids. I am always touched by how our SL community comes together for worthy causes, both creators who generously give of their time and hard work and the customers like myself who eagerly shop and use the donation kiosks at these events to help those in need. Now I mentioned in my title to hurry, that would be because the Hair Fair wraps up this round at midnight SL time on the 16th, so there is just over a full day remaining. Maybe you've already visited but missed something, easy to do with so much to see, or were trying to decide between two fabulous new hairdos, now is the time to get back there and scoop up those exclusives! I also have another Beached Bunny 7 Hunt prize as my clothing for the evening, a sweet summery dress from MOoH! that made me smile.

My first look shows off the lovely gift from Blues called Perla, and it includes fitted and rigged versions each with a +boobies size, as well as a HUD with 20 color options, 10 pastel shades and their versions with roots. I feel like a sexy mermaid in this long wavy style, and really enjoyed the color choices. This particular gift is $1L and well worth it in my opinion.

[KoKoLoReS] has this sharp looking style as their Hair Fair gift for all of us, called Sniper and including a regular and an ombre version along with several color HUDs. They are Balayage, Naturals, Ombre, Rainbow, and Unicorn Dreams which each offer several appealing choices for tinting.

You will need to give this photo a click to see it full size to appreciate these styles from Alli&Ali, which are actually just a small sample of the 16 assorted styles for men and women in their very generous hair fair gift. From left to right we have Galaxia Lilac, Nikita Cool Dark Brown with Extensions (an optional attachment), and Valentina Frosted Raspberry. There are many other styles in various colors to see in this gift too.

Tameless Hair has a playful updo as their gift for us, named Vivian Megapack and offering 28 different shades on a HUD to select from, along with a tint feature on the same HUD for the hairpins in this style. I am drawn to updos and even more so since I began blogging, since they will not hide any of the outfit or jewelry I am trying to share. Also in the hot RL weather I'm experiencing, I need my neck to get a fresh breeze! As you can see, the colors here range from natural to fantasy, a nice mixture.

Our final look of the evening is from Vanity Hair, their MeninaBonita Must Haves Pack which is just $1L at the hair fair. It includes a very handy HUD with 24 colors and a streaks tab with another 24 shades, some the same as the main colors and some different, and even some tint options for you to explore. This fun style is like a pixie with a twist, those softly curling ends contrasting with the blunt diagonal bangs. It is also an excellent time to fill you in on all the details of my adorable dress, the !MOoH! Ariel Dress which is $1L when you find the blue beach pail for the Beached Bunny 7 Hunt. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus a fitted version as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions, and the included HUD offers 6 textures to make you think of sand and surf in fantastic shades of blue. This dress certainly has a terrific summer flavor!

Today I am deeply grateful for the miracle of air conditioning, LOL, as it is another sweltering day outside. I am also thankful for shelter since I was out and about in some wicked thunderstorms, which delighted a fellow acupuncture patient (teenage boy, wanted to make the alert system sound his ringtone) but mostly just made me nervous. I hung around the clinic for an extra 15 minutes or so to let the storm pass a bit.
