The Warehouse Sale

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating The Warehouse Sale's 2nd anniversary, which means free gifts for the event's group which is also free to join. Just look for the TWS crates at many of the displays, which mostly have pictures or samples of the prizes inside. The event is post-apocalyptic themed so plenty of the gifts and sales offers are based on the theme but not all; this way we can still find quite a variety for any preferences. There are clothing and accessories for men and women as well as home decor among the selections, so be sure to look around and enjoy your visit!

For my first look this evening, I started with the B&S Canada. #8 dress which is our gift from Apple Blossom. This strapless mini has a sheer corset top with floral embroidery, and a vivid satin skirt that hugs us perfectly. There are Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes included in this gift. Then I added the ::C'est la vie !:: Orpha Bangle for the left wrist, which includes a 5 color HUD to select the metallic hue of your choice. Its simple elegance means it will coordinate with anything you wish.

Next I kept the Apple Blossom dress on but added the {le fil casse} Sherrina Cardigan Celestial gift. This slouchy sweater fits eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, and has a galaxy of celestial images decorating it :) I also found the perfect neckwear to accessorize with, the ::Static:: Agrace Choker Brown gift. The black lace ribbon is tied with brown string that dangles in the front with a loose bow, two neutral colors that we can wear with a huge variety of outfits.

Another fun combo I came up with starts with the -Sorumin- Ruched Crop Top -Black&Dirt-. The name describes it quite well, and I love the way it hugs my curves! The gift consists of eBody, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizing. I paired it with the #error - gift for TWS, which is a flirty skirt that plays what I like to call peek-a-booty in the back ;) The coral colored skirt has a black waistband tied with a large coral bow in the rear, above a short skirt that is lifted on the right side to reveal considerable cheek or your favorite pair of panties. There are sizes for eBody, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies included. 

For this look I went somewhat casual with the shirt, which is our Loki - Heart Rib Cage Tee - Black&White gift. I adore raglan tees (the diagonal seams and contrasting colors are hallmarks of this style) and the cropped length is cozy looking, while the heart shaped ribcage image adds intrigue. It will fit eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies just right. To keep with the heart motif, I selected the S-CLUB GIFT Earrings 0222 TWS, whose open gold hearts contain a black heart beneath a pearl. They are lovely and I lucked out that they fit perfectly, but they can be adjusted if necessary. 

My final look of the evening is showing a couple more ways of adding to your look and personalizing it. The eye makeup is the keikumu - nafta eyelook (gift) provided as a BOM layer for EvoX compatible heads, and is a dramatic wash of smoky green and black with shimmery white liner in the inner corner and part of the upper lid. My delicate piercing is the {minuit} Cullen Septum [FATPACK] gift, with resize and unrigged versions (unrigged shown, edited slightly to move to a more visible position) that include a HUD with 8 colors. I decided we needed a closer view and picked out some less traditional metal shades, and I think the closeup shows the bat shape particularly well. I am guessing Cullen is a Twilight reference, so vampire = bat? Please forgive me if way off base there, Twilight is not a field of expertise but I've heard the names a fair bit. 

Yesterday's dental visit went decently, with the 2 minor fillings taken care of relatively easily. The numbness didn't last nearly as long as the last time, which was a relief, and I am going to be even more careful about any old fillings or areas that could eventually develop problems. The weather is going to be extra hot the next several days, but so far my usual Friday and Saturday plans are still in place. CozyFest is Tops

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are taking a look at some more gifts from CozyFest '22, a Fifty Linden Fridays event whose gifts are for the FLF group. It is free to join and there are gifts at just about every display, in tan giftboxes wrapped in purple ribbon and bow. There is a wide variety among these goodies, lots of home decor as well as fashion and accessories, mostly with a cozy theme in mind which suits this time of year quite well :) I had fun tonight with a lot of the tops, ways to wrap yourself in warmth or be flirty and bring the heat!

First we have the [Cosmic Dust] - Cozy Sweater - Winter Vibes - Pink, a sweet treat with an adorable critter napping on the front. It comes in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, and has a fuzzy appearance from a sheer layer on top I believe. Wearing this has already gotten me a compliment on how cute it is! For this and the next few photos, I am wearing the white pair of Delizio jeans from their marketplace fatpack, a longtime favorite freebie of mine. There are 9 colors in system/BOM layers as well as appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

My next look offers some good advice, thanks to Nectarine and their Cropped Tee Stay Cozy. The delivery HUD lets you choose from sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, or Petite bodies, delivering just the one you need so your inventory doesn't overflow even more than all these generous gifts are already causing ;) I love the font they used for Stay Cozy and all its pretty flourishes, looking great with the white and teal decorations surrounding it. 

If your weather is chilly outside, try warming things up inside with the [JUSTICE] EMERY CAMI - MINT gift. This fluttery tank top has spaghetti straps and is open just a bit in the front, scalloped trim on each side of that slit. There are sizes provided for Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, as well as a HUD with 20 colors each for the straps and trim. The strap color you select also tints the bow and its long tails that drape into the opening, so you can come up with some really lovely color combinations.

Another fuzzy looking sweater can be found as our gift from Flora. Their zara sweater comes in eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a 5 color HUD so you can change the look as I had fun doing. I must admit that in the chilly weather I enjoy wearing masks outdoors to keep my face warm, especially if it is windy, so this fashionable ::C'est la vie!:: Face Mask 02 (Plaid) would be welcome in RL too. It has a resize script built in on touch, and it also includes a HUD with 3 charming plaid prints to match lots of different looks. You can also turn the materials on and off via that same HUD. 

My final look of the evening is our _CandyDoll_Posie Dress Blueroses gift, a very versatile and flirty treat! It includes Freya, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Legacy, Maitreya, and V-Tech mesh body sizes, with a generous HUD that lets us choose from 20 patterns and 25 solid colors for the nipple hearts, plus 25 solid hues each for the trim (neck and sleeve cuffs) and zipper in the back. As you can guess, I had a great time experimenting with that HUD and selecting just a couple of looks to share. 

My day was fine until the evening arrived, bringing a frustrating hockey game and then a visit from a stink bug who thought it would be fun to fly into my head several times before landing on my shoulder. If you don't have these pests in your area (lucky!) they are large and loud when flying, and can emit a stinky spray like a flying skunk if scared. Sound fun? *gag* They also smell terrible if you kill them, so my preference is to catch and release outside, except I cannot reach the dang thing right now. Also it's below freezing outside, so not ideal for the bug or for me. They fly like they're drunk, LOL, bumbling around and slamming into things, making more noise than something that size should be capable of. I will be on high alert for the next several hours, flinching at any slight sound or movement. I am anxious by nature, and really dislike these bugs even though they aren't dangerous to humans. My parents get them in their house too, and they scare their cockatiels which adds to my dislike. Oh well, I hope you're all having a decent day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Time For Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we begin exploring the Halloween 2021 Shop and Hop event, an extravaganza that is open the entire month of October with 14 full regions (sims) filled with designers offering sales items and free gifts. Every round of Shop and Hop makes me extremely happy, since I find a few stores that are new to me among plenty that I am already glad to be familiar with. Guys and gals will find treats here, from clothing to accessories to home decor and more. The regions are decorated for the spooky season, including giant spiders in the center of many so consider that a warning for arachnophobes. I am okay with the pixel/virtual kind but not the real life ones, so I just scooted past their long legs without being upset. You might also see ghosts, zombies, blood and gore, all your typical Halloween atmosphere components. Most of the designers are offering free gifts with no group needed, while a few have ones for their store group either instead of or in addition to a non-group goodie. There are some extra bargains near some of the free gifts too, like I saw several in the range of $10L. I find it easiest to keep the gifts sorted by region, so I am showing you one at a time to help you find them. Tonight I'm sharing several from the Snapdragon region or sim :)

My first look is the fantastic TO.KISKI gift called Tyra dress / Cherry. It starts with the shiny metallic dress with its single long sleeve, in sizes for Belleza Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya mesh bodies, then continues with the matching strappy sandals in the same sizing. We can accessorize with the cat ears headband which is unrigged to adjust as needed, and three sets of bento pose hearts in Cherry and Magic. The cherry are solid colors to match the rest of the set, and the magic ones read "Life is Magic" in beautiful script. There are lots of fun possibilities here!

Next I changed into the striking AtaMe - Lilly Fat Pack dress which puts me in mind of a fairy with petals for a skirt. The dress is provided in Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a HUD offering 5 metallic colors for the top, 7 hues for the skirt, and 4 transparency levels to choose from for that skirt. The corset style top looks terrific in all the metals, and the skirt is a bold shape that is sure to get noticed.

*Lurve* has a gift that is sure to turn heads, their Forever Loved Gown - Halloween Edition. It has bold stripes and a delicately etched inset on the front of the long skirt, and includes not only the gown but an embroidered shawl that you can add or take off, your choice. There is a Medium size for classic avatars, as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. Gorgeous! I feel like I should be a hostess introducing performers at an old timey Halloween carnival, which might be a thought inspired by those dramatic stripes. 

It is also fun to combine gifts when we can, as I have done here :) The top is the gift from LYBRA named JESSI GIFT HALLOWEEN, a fun single shouldered tank in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. There is also a HUD included with 6 patterns in various colors, two seen above, all just right for Halloween. I am wearing it with the ::C'est la vie!:: Starry Tights, which are more the stockings type of tights than the leggings style I initially thought they were ;) They are all system/BOM layers in 4 colors: black, pink, purple, and white, each with a golden design of stars and the moon around the lower thigh. When I wear these in public, it will be beneath a dress or tunic that is short enough to show off that great detailing.

My final look this evening is actually a perfect example of what else to wear those C'est la vie tights with! Our gift from UNA. is their Pumkin Jersey, a knit top with pretty boat neck styling and a jack o'lantern face on the front. There are Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizes each in blue (left above), green (seen on the right above), orange, pink, and yellow. The half and half coloring is such a fun touch, and it carries over to the back but without the carved face because each sweater only needs one of those and it needs to see where we're going ;) 

My day was productive if not altogether enjoyable, and I have started taking a supplement (includes glucosamine and chondroitin) for my painful fingers that may be arthritis. Typing is uncomfortable so I am a bit slow, and I might start taking more days off from blogging than my one-a-week if I need to rest my hands. For now I am trying my best and still have lots that I want to share, so I will persevere. It will take a few weeks before I know if the new supplements are helping, so patience is crucial. No RL plans until Friday, so my main goal will be resting, especially since very loud construction will be interfering with my sleep for a few days so the water company can replace old pipes on my street. Shop and Hop for Valentines

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I begin my coverage of the Valentine's Shop & Hop event, where you can find discounted items and gifts from over 160 designers. The event spans 8 full sims/regions, so I am taking them one at a time to show you the gifts from each area. It makes the most sense to me as far as keeping things organized and giving you a general idea of where to find the various treats :) I started with the Aurelian region, so all of the gifts this evening can be found at one of the displays there. Shop & Hop opened a just a few days ago (the 5th) and will be open until the 17th, so it is a brief but exciting opportunity to save lots of lindens on holiday merchandise and more.

Envious is offering this terrific outfit as their gift for us, which is called Kisses Love. The sweater, skirt, and boots are each included in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. The hollow hearts of the X♥X♥ on the sweater really do look like XOXO hugs and kisses, and the skirt has the belts and garters built in. Nothing like thigh high boots with slender stiletto heels to complete this intriguing look!

Might I tempt you with the Feuille Lingerie [Lara][Red] gift from VERONIS? :) The bodysuit is quite revealing and decorated with leaves, which is appropriate since the name is French for leaf (thank you google!). It fits the Maitreya body and includes a HUD to show/hide the sheer sections on the front, as well as choosing from 3 metals for the rings on the straps. I had some fun adding the DEEP STATIC gift, the ::DS:: Delia Valentine's Glasses which are extremely versatile. There is a HUD provided for them so you can choose from 8 frame textures, opacity from 10-100% in increments of 10, 9 lens colors, similar opacity options, and resize buttons to adjust if necessary. 

Next I slipped into the * SK * Gianna Gift FATPACK from Sweet Kajira. This pouf dress with short sleeves has a very pretty double heart embroidered into the front, and comes in sizes for Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite bodies. The included HUD lets you pick from 4 colors which all make lovely backdrops for those hearts. 

Valentines certainly brings out the romance and passion in our designers, and a fine example of that is the Illustrious gift called Sexy Valentine. It has a sheer lacy bodice with bow, empire waist, and slender straps with a fun ruffle on the top of the shoulders. The gift includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with a 6 color HUD. The color buttons are on the upper right of the HUD and were barely visible for me, which is why I am mentioning where to click to find them ;) Just in case it wasn't just me having a weird SL glitch, which definitely happens sometimes. 

For my final look of the evening I decided to give you a close up view of the nail polish I've been enjoying tonight. It is another Shop & Hop gift, the ::C'est la vie!:: Juliet Nails. There are HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, each with 5 designs to apply to your hand's nails. For the Maitreya nails there is an extra button which I used here, for a mix manicure of all 5 styles :) They coordinate wonderfully as you can see, with colors that remind me of a chocolate box or maybe chocolate and cherries. Choose your favorite to match an outfit, or use the mix like I have done here, it's entirely up to you. 

I am dealing with a minor medical issue (yes, a different/new one LOL) and have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow for it, with no idea what she will have to do...there is a slight chance that I will not feel up to blogging tomorrow evening, and if that is the case I'd like to apologize in advance. I will be fine in the long run, it is not anything lasting or serious, just painful. Meanwhile there are several more regions of Shop and Hop awaiting your visit, and I will be showing you all more gifts from them as soon as I can. The Seasons Story Anniversary Gifties

Hiya everyone! I finally visited The Seasons Story for their 2nd anniversary round, and what a treat it turned out to be! Most of the participating designers have out free gifts for everyone, along with the usual wonderful sales items and gachas. The landing area has a ring of vendors to explore, then you'll want to follow the path down to the much bigger ring down the hill where the majority of displays can be found. Two observations about the gifts: 1) there was no clothing for me to show off, and 2) there were lots of hair gifts which is unusual but delightful. So I am focusing on showing you hair tonight, along with a couple of new friends I made there ;)

First we have the Juniper hair from Mithral Apothecary, which comes in the version shown plus a 'busty' version if you need it. I love the soft fading from ginger to creamy blonde, such a pretty and flattering look.

Another gift of long locks can be found at Damselfly's display, their Anjelica with a Mixed HUD so you can switch to a variety of colors/fades, two of which are shown above. 

Blues is offering two gifts with reversed names but similar styles and ideas...on the left we have Anna Lee in Rainbow: brown, and on the right is Lee Anne in Rainbow: blonde. In addition to the color, you'll notice that one has a center part and the other a side part.

If you are looking for something a bit shorter, maybe this beauty called Karin which is our gift from [DUE], complete with a HUD called Vitamin which has 10 pretty shades to choose from. All my wandering made me glad for the gift from C'est la Vie, the Autumn Mug which comes with the attachment called Beard Cream, most likely a mistranslation of mustache and utterly adorable. With no cinnamon or nutmeg as a clue, I have decided that mine is a nice Chai latte for variety's sake...what flavor would you like yours to be? The hold pose is built in by the way.

Last but certainly not least, I did mention I made some new friends while visiting The Seasons Story, and both of the ones I'm showing you here are free gifts! On the left we have our precious Elephant Doll from Gorodee, and on the right we have Schadenfreude's anniversary present for all of us, named voobou: milaya. From her gorgeous violet eyes to her pop of bright pink hair and outfit to match, she is a real charmer!

Instead of a nail note of the night, I have a dress note of the night...with no clothing gifts to share, I went to a reliable and fun place to find goodies, the Marketplace. This Lina Dress from ~@HYA@~ really caught my eye, and it comes in standard mesh sizes in two versions, a grey belted and a white belted variety. I figured it would make a lovely backdrop for all the hairstyles I was showing, while being neutral enough not to distract from them.
