Sunflower Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we embark on the Sunflower Hunt from Malus Park Hunts. I'm a big fan of the theme, as the flowers are beautiful and timeless (plus they can feed us!) and remind me of one of the most stunning weddings I ever attended many moons ago. As for the hunt, we are visiting some wonderful stores who've hidden small sunflower images for $5L or less, and all the info you need is on the Malus Park website. They have the locations, hints, and preview images when possible so you can get a sneak peek of the affordable treats each designer is offering. Some have more than one prize, so the hints keep us on track to locate each one correctly. The month is still young, and we have until the end of August to find the blossoms and claim our rewards :)

My first look of the evening comes from Starlight Apparel, their .{SA}. Cora Sunflowers outfit which is just $3L. The pattern makes me smile, and the style is so flirty with the untied shorts and the left strap undone and trailing down both front and back. We receive Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes for each piece. Time to take a stroll in the sunshine while wearing this!

Life is good, just like it says on one of our 3 exclusive prizes from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co.! This is called LIFE IS GOOD Tee, and the name is written in a pretty script beneath a soothing teal sunflower, which at first glance called to mind a peacock spreading out his tail. There are lots of reasons lately to try to hold onto those good parts of life, focus on the positive, and this shirt will help remind us :) 

I couldn't resist the MAGNIFIQUE Tee from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. either, and my goodness does it ever live up its name! Next we head to Psyche's Pstyles to claim this terrific Moody Sunflowers Outfit for just $1L when you find their sunflower. The tube top and maxi skirt both come in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. You can also tell that we have a HUD included too, well actually there are separate HUDs for top and skirt but each have 3 background colors for us to mix and match. I really like the idea of the moody sunflowers being darker orange blooms with yet deeper colors for the backdrop, perfect for variety if you find typical lighter colored sunflowers a bit too cheery ;) 

My final look of the evening is a closer view of my nails, which are one of three prizes from backSTORY which are each just $1L. The charming Sunflower Summer Almond Nails seen here are one of three shapes of this manicure design (coffin and square being the other two) we can find in their sunflowers, and I randomly picked this one to show you since I do love the almond shape. My day was focused on preparing for the bad weather, so I have food for the next couple of days and am trying not to check the weather website too often or I'll just worry. There are currently 5 alerts on there for my area, 4 of which are flood related and one wind advisory that could take out the power Friday evening. Most likely I'll be here blogging tomorrow, but if not please don't be concerned as I will be back as soon as I can :) I am not in a coastal area and therefore not as affected as some, so my concern is more for those who are. Wild And Free Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to get Wild & Free with the Cheeky Monkey hunt of that name, in its 2nd annual round. We are on the prowl for a photo of a lion family, which each participating designer gets to decide if they are offering a $1L item, $25L exclusive offer, or $50L exclusive inside each hidden object. Some are offering more than one, so be sure to peek at the hunt's website for prices, links, hints, and preview images so you know what you will be receiving. I'm delighted with this round's offerings, so of course I about to show you why :) Sharing is why I do what I do here, giving you info and options instead of trying to keep things all for myself. Enjoy!

My first look of the evening comes from Starlight Apparel and is a $1L prize. Their charming .{SA}. Cora Pink Flamingos outfit includes the top and shorts, each in sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Our left strap is untied and dangling down, much like the ties in the front of the shorts for a little extra flirty feeling. 

My next outfit made me smile too, as a fan of animal patterns and having footwear provided with any clothing. The ST - Rawr Outfit is our $25L exclusive offering from Simple Terms, a fantastic romper with matching shoes and a fun bonus of adjustable cat ears. The romper comes in Maitreya, Lara X, and Star mesh body sizes, with Maitreya and Star sized strappy sandals adorned in the same great combo of black and leopard print. I might have actually started purring from sheer happiness while wearing this :) It is a perfect choice for these hot days of midsummer, but I can envision wearing it all year long too.

Sometimes I try on an outfit and say WOW out loud, and this was one of those times. The GoodVibes WildSide Gaia is their $25L exclusive offer this round, and it made me think of several different types of roleplay scenarios. The jagged wrap dress fits Maitreya and Star mesh bodies, with long ties trailing down both sides. The makeup is a BOM layer, with two different versions - SLUV and Evo X. Many modern mesh heads use Evo X, but if yours doesn't or you are not wearing a mesh head, the SLUV is the original default mapping. If you aren't sure, trying on either will tell you quickly if it appears in the correct location or not :) I can't figure out what movie came to mind since it would be one I didn't see, Clan of the Cave Bear maybe? Simply the word "primal" popped into my head as well.

I had to share something on the cute side too, and The Sissy Bar fits that bill with their $1L prize called (TSB) CMH Wild & Free 2 Hunt. Our top is provided in classic S, M, L and fitmesh S, M, L sizes for classic avatars as well as Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. The shorts fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, so a similar but not identical set. The pale yellow tank top has an adorable tiger cub on the front, and the dusky blue denim shorts have a whiskered pattern on the front and a branded patch of tan leather on the right rear pocket. They fit like a charm, both pieces that is, and I adore having something so sweet for a casual summer look.

My final look of the night is an amazing set of nails from backSTORY called Animal Glitter Square Nails. These are just $1L and the mesh nails will fit Alice, Belleza OG, Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands. Just use your body's HUD to hide the built in nails, then add your corresponding size, then you get to play with the texture HUD ;) That offers 6 colors for each nail, with the thumb and ring finger being fully animal print while the others are solid colors with a French tip of the print. I like them all! The way the animal print looks so pretty with any of the background colors makes it versatile to match any outfit, and the modest length square nail shape is very flattering and useful for those more casual days when you don't need your longest or sharpest claws out.

Malus Park Summer Camp

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the Summer Camp Hunt at Malus Park, which is open for the entire month of July. There are rolled up sleeping bags in various colors that serve as our hidden hunt objects, in the southwest corner of the Malus Region. This includes their Zen garden, memorial garden, The Refuge, and oceanside dock so you know where you're exploring :) All of the prizes are $10L or less, and I must say they are all worth far more than that! We are able to find some terrific bargains, just by searching for the sleeping bags. The website can help you with hints for some of the prizes and preview images, and you'll notice that several designers are offering multiple prizes/bags so be sure to follow those hunt keys :) We have two relatively new nail artists among the designers too, so my fingertips are feeling extra fancy!

My first look combines two of the prizes from Designs by Danielle, of which there are a total of 5 which are $10L apiece. The DANI Camp Memories Tank says, "Here's to the nights we can't remember with friends we'll never forget" and I almost want to toast to that with a beer ;) It brought back fuzzy but fond memories for sure. There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, and Petite X mesh bodies. It pairs really well with the DANI Camo Camp Shorts, which are found in a different sleeping bag and have just the right pattern for camping in the wilderness. These fun shorts will fit Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. I'm a bit of an odd duck in that I have a sentimental response to camo print, thanks to military family members like my dad.

Guess what else those shorts go well with? They have a men's version too in another sleeping bag, each $10L, and this cozy layered cutie comes in a fitmesh M size along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Reborn, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. The front reads "Life is better around the campfire" and makes me picture that woody smoky smell and roasting some marshmallows for smores. 

If my mention earlier of the words "new" and "nails" got your attention, here are two amazing manicures from Petalo! Their Mesh Nails. Siren Song. My final look this evening has me swooning too, thanks to backSTORY and their versatile Summer Camp Nails prize. This means we get to adjust our accent colors to suit the pattern we select :) The tiny plaid print could be a nod to flannel which is great for camping in, or a gingham picnic blanket or tablecloth for the wooden tables you'll find at many campsites. Wow, what a weekend! My computer turned itself off in the wee hours of Saturday morning while I was in SL and on discord chatting with Xan, and we brushed it off as a one-time thing that could have been a small brownout that only affect my pc but not my lights. Sounds nice, but he signed off and I was still here doing blog related prep when it happened two more times in a 15-minute span. Uh oh, right? It would turn itself back on after a couple minutes, very odd behavior indeed. 2 hours later a fourth occurrence convinced me that the problem was the PC itself since the tv, fan, and lights all stayed on. Diagnosis - power supply needed replacing, blah. That was taken care of late last night, and things are going well so far, knock on wood, so I am very relieved. This kind of thing is why I feel like my middle name should be chaos, and it's a good thing I usually don't blog on Saturdays anyway. Oh yeah, and tonight the housemate (who weighs about 400 lbs., no exaggeration) stepped on my foot and one of my toes made a loud gross cracking sound. This was in the kitchen so hard tile flooring. It is sore and slightly bruised, but they don't really do much for broken toes anyway, so I am taking care of it at home by icing it and elevating it, keeping two toes taped together too. If things start looking or feeling worse, I'll have to do something about it, even if the agoraphobia fights against it. Sigh. ACCESS and Summer Carnival

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is a variety pack so to speak, as we revisit the ACCESS Event and then take a trip to the Malus Park Summer Carnival. ACCESS is celebrating their 6th birthday, and if you are a member of their free group you can click all the pretty teal giftboxes you can find at the many displays to claim a bounty of gifts :) As for the Summer Carnival, well you know Malus Park loves to bring joy with their sales events, and this is no exception. There are rides and a lemonade stand, free Pride items, and of course there are stands from many wonderful designers. They are offering exclusive items, discounted sales, and presents for $25L or less in brightly wrapped boxes. I was delighted to see the way everyone interpreted the theme, with some focused on summer and a few leaning into the carnival aspect :) Both of these events wrap up at the end of the month, so we have a little time left to explore them.

My first look of the evening is the AURICA Yuki Dress RED gift at ACCESS. The bare shouldered style is as eye-catching as the bold hue, and it is adorned with a butterfly pin that is beautifully detailed. We receive sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, plus a HUD with 3 metal colors for the butterfly pin as well as on/off option. 

This sexy gift is the - wraith - Roxanne Suit - Access Special Edition, a strapless bodysuit with amazing cutouts. It fits Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Juicy Rolls mesh bodies, all with that alluring shiny texture in an ombre of blue to black. The high cut legs lead to a thong style back view, so you look just as flirty from any angle.

I do love versatility :) Aren't the palm trees just perfect for warm weather? Now I'm wearing this top with the Delizio jeans that I reach for so often (marketplace free gift, fatpack) but you can pair this with anything from shorts to your favorite skirt to simple leggings.

My final look of the evening also features a Summer Carnival exclusive or two, this time from backSTORY. They have several pairs of earrings available for $150L each, and they are all balloon animals! I just have to say that they are among the cutest earrings I've seen, and there are options for just about every taste. I'm wearing the Balloon Animal Earrings - Snail on the left side of the photo, with Balloon Animal Earrings - Monkey in the inset on the right. These and the other offers (crab, dog, horse, lion) each include a HUD with 12 textures each for the balloon portion and the hook, various colors and a fun tie dye pattern you can see on the monkey above :) I find RL balloon animals to be very intriguing, as it takes a lot of talent and practice to get them just right. These might remind you of sunny days or warm evenings at a local fair, or nowadays a carnival right here in SL.

They have the hints for each and the costs listed, plus the landmarks of course, so you can traverse the hunt trail with ease :) The rainbow theme means that Pride month is well represented, which makes my ally heart happy.

Three cheers for The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co., which would be one for each of their offerings this round :) The $1L MULTICOLOUR Tee can be seen on the left above, a gorgeous gradient that works its way through purple, pink, orange, and yellow hues. Their $25L exclusive offer is called RAINBOW BIRDIE Tee, and this bird fanatic is super impressed! I think it sums up my feelings very well, and this is certainly the time of year to remind people that you support them. You may have noticed my nails tonight looking longer and more colorful than their typical default state. I had way too much fun playing with the HUD, and to show you even more choices I've layered two different looks together into one image. There is something so endearing about tie dye, often a throwback to childhood crafts but able to be turned into modern styling. 

Are you all ready for a fun weekend? I am ready to relax at home tomorrow, then my therapy Sunday is at a later time which means I get more sleep beforehand. Dinner tonight at my parents' was enjoyable as usual, and my mom had a couple boxes of large framed photos for me to look at. Several of my grandparents' wedding photos were similar, so she is keeping some, gave me two, and will give the rest to her brother tomorrow. His wife seems like she is planning on causing trouble over the estate handling, but I think my mom is ready to handle it with grace but a firm hand. We'll see what happens, but it is suspicious for a wife to lock her husband out of their house after 41 years of marriage, hire a shark lawyer, then take him back shortly before his mother passes away. That would sound harsh if she didn't have a track record of disowning one of her sons and her only niece *waves* along with generally being hateful and quarrelsome. Hippity Hoppity Time

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to explore the Hippity Hoppity Hunt, which is the spring holiday hunt event at Malus Park. The zen gardens, memorial garden, refuge, and oceanside dock in the southwest corner of the region are all in play as places for the variously colored eggs to be hidden, and we have lots of great designers who've carefully placed these eggs for $25L or less for us to find :) I always have a wonderful time visiting Malus Park, and you can find some info and the hunt keys on the park's website. Region hunts are fun for being a one-stop shopping kind of situation, for those days when SL gets cranky and doesn't want to let you teleport to multiple places in one login session (yes, that is the voice of years of experience) but you still want to find affordable treats from a variety of designers. The hunt runs until the 30th of April, so we have just over 2 weeks to enjoy.

[Ari-Pari] is the mastermind, or master of ceremonies, behind our hunt, so it's no surprise that the designer Ariana has some fantastic prizes awaiting :) There are in fact 5 eggs of hers, for $5L apiece, and I've got two of their prizes on in my first photo. The April Outfit - Lemon is our skirt set on the left, with the Sky version appearing to the right. Each consists of the top and skirt, both in sizes for Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The top has a cute Peter Pan style collar and 3/4 length sleeves, just right for weather that can still have cool days and evenings. As for the skirt, well I cannot resist a crisply pleated plaid and especially in pastel hues :)

I randomly chose 2 more of those five treats, so I'm wearing the [Ari-Pari] April Outfit - Peach on the left and [Ari-Pari] April Outfit - Sage on the right. These are provided in the same sizing as the two above, and I have to recommend picking up more than one if you like to mix things up :) I generally enjoy doing that whenever an outfit allows by being separate pieces in more than one color, just a fun potential bonus.

Next we see one of the delightfully clever prizes from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co., this one being their HIP HOP BUNNY Tee. The egg is just $10L and contains an unpacker HUD with their new size set, 5 standard mesh sizes as well as versions for eBody Classic, eBody Reborn, Waifu, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Lara X Petite, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. Just click the brand you want delivered, and hang onto the HUD for future reference :) I'm almost embarrassed to admit I used to delete the sizes I thought I'd never use, which I eventually regretted so having this style of HUD would have been so handy.

These two prizes are also from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. as you can tell, and at just $5L each they are so irresistible! On the left you see the DANDELION WISHES Tee, a perfect choice for spring with "Butterfly Kisses Dandelion Wishes" on the front adorned with the mentioned items. They show up beautifully against the burgundy (or is it maroon?) background, don't you think? The goodie on the right is our SHADY BEACH Tee prize, which gave me a sly chuckle. I spent many summer days enjoying sunny beaches, and a shady one would have made me expect rain or at least storm clouds like I've had in my RL area far too often lately. Both of these prizes are provided with the same unpacking HUD and sizes as the Hip Hop Bunny one, and I'm wearing my favorite Delizio jeans in both photos in blue. That is a marketplace fatpack freebie that I wind up wearing here quite frequently, as BOM and the appliers (Omega and Maitreya) in several colors offer such versatility.

Do your nails need a little love this season? Trick question since they always need and deserve love ♥. If you find both of the backSTORY eggs for just $10L each, you can dress up your digits in these glittery goodies. The top portion of the photo shows the Easter Glitter Nails - Pink & Silver, and the lower part with my left hand is the Easter Glitter Nails - Pink & Gold set. Each has a fantastic manicure of sparkly lavender with metallic accent nails and French tips, on mesh nails in a flattering square shape. These will fit Belleza, Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands, just hide the nails with the body's HUD and add your new mesh tips :) I think the length is just right for the shape, and the style works so well for our SL hands which tend to have slender and shapely fingers.

It was a wet and wild weekend, lol, thanks to lots of storms rolling through the area both days. I managed to go out twice when it was clear though, a Saturday outing and my Sunday therapy session. I did okay with both, nothing too terrible, and I have a couple of trips planned for the coming week. Evil Bunny Hunting

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features several prizes from the Evil Bunny Hunt 14, which are all either hidden in nice eggs (white with angel wings and halo) or evil eggs (red with black demon wings and horns) for $1L apiece. The participating stores can decide which to offer, or both, and the website tells you which one you're seeking as well as giving the landmarks, hints, and preview images. I'm just tickled at the fact that it's the fourteenth round, as I'm pretty sure I'd hunted for prizes from all of them over the years :) Evil Bunny Productions is the evil genius behind this and many other gridwide hunts, and some great events to boot. 

For my first look I'm wearing the Grumble-Tropical Top & Bottom, which we can find in an evil egg. Both pieces are created for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Prima, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies. I was instantly captivated by the teal and pink floral pattern on our sheer fabric :)

Next I kept the Grumble bottoms on to show off our nope. val - bunny gift which they've hidden inside a nice egg. There are 4 beautiful textures via HUD included, with the tank top in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. We can wear this prize with just about anything in our wardrobes from jeans to skirts to shorts, all will pair wonderfully with it.

I have some special advice for our prize in the nice egg at Emerald Couture. Their lovely EC Esther Dress Lilac comes in an unpacking HUD, but I'm going to recommend you rez it out and manually open it because there is a no-copy alpha inside that won't copy into your inventory if you wear the HUD. The alpha is essential for the nipped waist style you see here :) The dress comes in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Lara X, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. 

The ST - Bloom Dress - Blue prize from Simple Terms has a sweet look from the front and a sassy view from the rear ;) This playful knit tank dress has straps that cross in the back, deeply enough to show off a touch of booty cleavage and a bit of sideboob from the long openings. It fits Lara X, Maitreya, and Star mesh bodies, and can be all yours for just $1L when you find this store's nice egg.

My final look of the evening is the backSTORY - Easter Egg Nails for EBH14, just the thing to be concealed in a nice egg :) This store is fairly new to me, and I'm already a fan since their mesh nails are so simple to wear...just use your body's HUD to hide the built in nails, and add these instead. There are fits for Belleza, Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands, and each pair here has a pastel rainbow on each hand. Just because there is a holiday in the name doesn't mean that we are restricted to wearing them only during that season of course, and I am loving the glossy sheen of this manicure.

It was a day of small ups and downs, so I'm just trying to center myself (frazzled brain) and prepare for whatever the rest of the week brings my way. The houseguest pest left in the morning, and I've been dealing with the cat dander allergies that they must be bringing on their clothing each time they're here.
