Frosted Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to visit the Frosted region of SL23B Shop & Hop, one of 16 moderate (and 6 adult) areas in this shopping extravaganza to celebrate Second Life turning 23. We've just a few days left now, until the 19th, to visit all these regions and scoop up hundreds of gifts :) Every designer has discounted offers for us too, so we can save money while checking out old favorite designers or meeting new ones. These rounds always make me happy, and the Golden Age of Hollywood theme has made for some amazing creativity both in the merchandise they sell and the booths they have designed for us to visit.

My first look this evening is our Luova // Mary // Dress // Fatpack gift, with strong Marilyn vibes that I am loving. We receive sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, along with a HUD to tint and color to our heart's content. The default color is shown on the left above, as I tried to tint it white several times but came up with this intriguing gray-green hue. I chose the baby blue button for the right and got a deep almost navy color, very elegant just like our halter style and full tea length skirt.

I switched gears to a casual and cozy look here, thanks to the ALANTORI - Luna Outfit FATPACK gift. The one-piece mesh ensemble is a slightly cropped hoodie, sleek pants, and matching mid-height boots with cute kitten heel. We receive plenty of color versions like the Bucci I'm wearing on the left and Flower on the right (others are black, brown, champagne, olive, pink, purple, and white) that are each packaged individually. They fit Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies with ease. I appreciate being able to get dressed in a jiffy, as sometimes I am in a hurry to get somewhere fun  and just don't have time to sift through all this inventory ;)

This gorgeous gown is our HizNherz Passion Gown and Heels gift, and you can tell from the name that this store caters to both guys and gals so there is in fact a male gift also. This texture is incredible, with animated shine that spirals its way around us and just looks magical. Our gown comes in Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn sizes, with compatible sizing for the heels. That sash wrapped around the hips and draped down the left side is an impressive detail, and I can't wait to wear it somewhere worthy :)

Next I changed into the POISON ROUGE Lala Top Magenta gift, because we always need pretty tops :) The color is dreamy, and I adore halter styles that tie at the nape of the neck like this. Our gift includes sizing for Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, and I'm wearing it with the white Delizio jeans from their fatpack that is free on the marketplace. It'll go wonderfully with your favorite skirts, pants, or shorts too I'm sure. 

Occasionally I wind up ending my evening topless I guess, LOL, but it is the best way to share T H E  C R O W - GIFT Wings Tattoo BOM you see above. There are dark and soft versions included, and it is a subtle distinction as I am wearing dark on the left and soft to the right. What's your first thought when seeing these wings? I couldn't decide if mine was angel or bird, but other possibilities like butterflies, fairies, and dragons came to mind as well. I really like having the same image on the front and the back like this, as it flows wonderfully with the body's natural lines and curves. 

My day was busy from a gaming standpoint, since Paleo Pines had a huge update with 20 new colors for the dinosaurs among many new or improved features. That's 3 games that I routinely play each day now (not counting SL as a game) and it can get time consuming. Still extremely fun, but sometimes it is hard to find time for everything I want to do. Otherwise I am still waiting for my glasses to be ready to pick up, with a sense of dread because that means I can schedule the consult for the cataract surgeries. If I miss a day posting, that means I was at Target optical instead, LOL, and didn't have time to take pics and notes for a blog post ;) I hope you're all having a terrific day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Shopping and Hopping

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going back to the Holiday Shop & Hop 2021 event, which is open until the 2nd of January and features 240 creators spread out over 12 festively decorated regions. There are discounted items and free gifts galore, and all of the gifts from tonight's post can be found on the Snapdragon region. I usually keep the gifts organized by region to blog, so you don't have to check all dozen regions to find them :) These winter holidays can be such a whirlwind that it is nice to have a place to visit and enjoy the sights while picking up bargains and treats for yourself.

Les Sucreries de Fairy has a wonderful Merry Christmas Gift for us, with several goodies inside like this Sweater and Legwarmers which each fit the Maitreya mesh body. They are trimmed with delicate ruffles and are knitted in hues of grey and white, adorned with lovely reindeer and trees. The sweater is the type of length that I find can work as a very short dress or a long top, depending on your personal preferences. The other gifts (not shown) are a knit hat and a decoration for your home, so those are more unisex.

Next I changed into the gift from >>GothiCatz<< which is a full outfit named GoodGirl. It starts with the halter dress in two sizes (classic M and fitmesh M) for classic avatars as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Then we have the perfectly matched sandals in Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Slink Mid, and Tonic sizes plus an unrigged pair to adjust as needed. We top things off with the headband that has a lovely bow on top, and a built in resize script so you can fit this to your head and hairstyle just right. The colors are suitable for year round wear, with the reddish hue adding a touch of seasonal possibilities.

This sporty tank dress is the ladies gift from Laps As'Art, with their logo whose gold color matches the stripes and neckline trim. It comes in eBody, Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, and there is a sweater tucked inside for the guys to enjoy. I also took a moment to snuggle my newest friend here, the JIAN Trash Panda Santa gift. I am no stranger to JIAN and their wonderful animal creations, having spent many a linden in their gachas back in the day, so I was excited to see this sweet gift. I also chuckled that he comes bearing a gift of toilet paper with a fun bow on it! The hold pose is built in, and when you click your new companion you will get a menu to change the color (5 choices for the hat and bow that always match, because fashion LOL) and give it a name, or resize your pet. 

Witch In A Box is relatively new to me, and I must say I really like their style and enjoyed browsing their Shop & Hop offerings. Those include a gift of course, simply called Holidays Gift!. It consists of the flirty bodysuit in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, with matching gaiters in Legacy and Maitreya sizes. The coordinated red with green bows on both is such a wonderful touch, and the gaiters reminded me of legwarmers which made the outfit reminiscent of 80s workout videos to me. I was a kid when my parents and a friend of theirs would do Jane Fonda workout tapes on Betamax, LOL, and well honestly Jane looked good but not quite this good. This outfit wins! Oh and for the record, my parents and their friend all wore sweatpants and t-shirts, nothing like this or I think it would be a much less fond amusing memory.

My final look of the evening is another entertaining one, thanks to ALANTORI and their gift of Ugly Sweaters for Women. I truly do not consider these ugly, more like tongue in cheek, with these two being the designs of the 4 provided that made me laugh and demanded to be shared. On the left is Women Yelling Meme, on the right is Smudge Cat Meme, and the two not shown are Penguin and Snowflake with more traditional designs I suppose. Each of these four are included in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. My favorite marketplace gift makes an appearance here too, the blue pair from the Delizio fatpack of jeans whose several colors come in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

Sigh...I mentioned yesterday that my grandmother's caretaker was worried about having people over on Christmas eve as we had planned, then a local health official pleaded with everyone in my area to stay home this holiday and not get together with anyone you don't already live with. It was on the news, and my parents saw it too and discussions happened. The result is that our holiday visit is canceled, and I am sad because I really want to spend more time with my new cousin-in-law, but I understand that it might not be safe with cases spiking. I got my hair cut and colored today, which is a relief since it was very scraggly, even if the real reason is no longer happening. I apologize if I seem less cheery than usual, and promise that it is temporary. It's only been like 4 hours since I found out about the change of plans, so still feeling raw. Planet29 Anniversary Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some treats for you from the Planet29 anniversary round, which is open until the 22nd of December. They have a free group we can join to claim many gifts to celebrate the anniversary, in black gift boxes at nearly every display. It was fun to visit and see what is for sale, and there was amusing alien decor where we land :) I have several terrific gifts to share, which are just a sampling of the dozens awaiting us.

My first look combines two gifts, so let's start from the top ;) By that I mean the VAKI KVAKI ~Linda~ yellow top I am enjoying, which comes in sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is also a HUD for the bow with 12 texture choices (mix of solids and patterns) and an off button so you can even wear without the bow at all if you prefer. I think it looks particularly cute with the gift from ALANTORI, which are their High Waist Ultra Realistic Metalic Pants. These jeans style pants are provided in 3 classic sizes and 3 fitmesh sizes (S, M, L each) for classic avatars, as well as sizing for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The silver color works perfectly as a neutral that you can wear with any color or pattern. 

Next I tried on the :uzu: joy dress - gift (legacy) on my Maitreya body just to see if there was any chance that it would fit, and as you can see it worked out pretty well :) I did use my body's HUD to alpha out my arms and some parts around the waist and hips, and I don't think it is even noticeable that it wasn't created for my body brand. The long sleeved dress has a front zipper and cute hood, for a casual touch that suits the pink and blue plaid pattern quite well. 

Ooh la la! I also decided to try on another gift that was not precisely the same body size that I am wearing, as this CHIBI MAID Dress from fuaya is designed for the Maitreya Flat Chest mod. I figured I would use the alpha section of the Maitreya HUD again, but this adorable dress has built in auto-hide so it saved me the trouble :) The dress has a pretty apron attached that ties in the back with a bold bow, not unlike the smaller black bow at the collar. Roleplay, anyone?

Two more gifts teamed up together here, in a pairing I am very fond of. The Eily Top Black is our gift from [Yumi], in sizes for Legacy and Maitreya bodies. The crossed straps on the front read "Shut Up" in a Gothic font, at least that is what it looks like to me. Our skirt is the Loki - Heart Skirt - Pink&Black - Maitreya which is a flirty style, both full and short. The name indicates which body it was created for, but as I have demonstrated tonight already, with a little ingenuity you can probably make it fit similarly proportioned bodies. 

My final look this evening is focused on my gorgeous new nails. They are the ARATA - Maitreya Bento Nail(Gift 2021 Winter) set, which are very easy to wear...just use the Maitreya body HUD to hide their built in nails, and add these. The gift includes a HUD with 3 color choices, which are the two shown here along with a black tipped pair. All have golden designs and edging, with those playful gems on a few of the nails. I like that the transparent part really does show your actual skin through it, so any shade no matter if light, dark, or fantasy based you are wearing, these nails will let that beauty through :)

This week felt like it lasted an entire month somehow, LOL, so I am greeting this weekend with lots of enthusiasm. I am going to my usual farmers market in the morning, and enjoyed a peaceful dinner with my parents earlier. Tomorrow evening is my night off from blogging, then I will return on Sunday as usual :) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
